Calvin Herbert Lawrence 78, of Saratoga, died Thursday December 18, 2014 at his residence.

A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday December 23, 2014 at 10:00A.M. at Faith and Family Funeral Services, with Reverend Don Hinklin officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarcrest cemetery in Baytown. The family will be receiving friends on Monday December 22, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. also at Faith and Family.

Calvin was a residence of Batson for sixteen years, and was a supervisor for Bayer Chemical of Baytown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard F. Lawrence and Gladys Fisher, wife, Ada Mae Lawrence, brother, Vernon Lawrence, granddaughter Karen Seals and a grandson Justin Brown. Survivors are son, Curtis Lawrence and wife Christal of Saratoga, TX, daughters, Pat Seals of Saratoga, Lori Lawrence of Highlands, TX and Christine Jones of Baytown., brother, N.C. Lawrence of Saratoga., niece, Gail and husband David Pickering of Illinois., grandchildren, Justin Seals of Saratoga, Aubrey Papin of Saratoga, Breanna Papin of Saratoga and Luke Jones of Baytown. Serving as pallbearers are Johnny Dutton, Lonnie B. Fisher, Noel Brown, Barry Bay, Harvey Williamson, Garland Taylor and Chris Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Mefford, Rusty Hendrix and Anthony Fregia.

Howell

Ida Mae Howell 84, of Liberty, died on Tuesday December 19, 2014 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Born in Buffalo, Missouri, she had lived in Liberty, and was an homemaker. She was born September 25, 1930 in Buffalo, Missouri, to parents, Lane Beckham and Carrie Opal Warren. She was preceded by her husband; Charles Amos Howell, sons; Larry Ray Howell, and Danny Howell. Grandson; William Thomas Downs II. Brothers; Gene Beckham, Howard Beckham, Ray Beckham. Half- brothers; "Big" Carl Beckham, Joe Beckham. Sister; Maxine Sliter and aunt Bessie Rutherford. She is survived by her sons; Michael Howell of Moss Bluff, Robert Howell of Pasadena. Daughter; Debbie S. Shane and husband Jerry of Liberty, brothers; Gary Beckham of Poplar Bluff, MO, Carl James Beckham of Alabama. Sisters; Helen Batson of O'Fallon, MO, Betty Davison of Leesburg, MO, and Mildred Price of LaPorte, TX, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A service of remembrance and a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date at Fitch - Hills Funeral Home 366 College Street, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901. 573-785-9666. Interment will follow at City cemetery also in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Moorhead

Georgia Mae Moorhead age 85 formally of Conroe died Sunday December 28, 2014 at Magnolia Health Care in Liberty, Texas.

Georgia was born in Liberty, Texas October 23, 1929 daughter of the late Clarence Davis and Ethel Land Davis. Georgia enjoyed singing gospel music with her friends. Georgia and her late husband Zee owned and operated Moorhead Varity Store in Livingston and Groves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband Zee Moorhead, brother Everett Davis and a sister Mildred Marie Foster.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother Clyde D. Davis and wife Minnie of Liberty and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 10AM Wednesday December 31, 2014 at Garden Park cemetery, 801 Teas Rd. Conroe, Texas. Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Wagner

Cecil F. Wagner, 82, of Conroe, died Friday, December 26, 2014, at the Conroe Health Care Center in Conroe.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens in Cleveland. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Cecil was born May 18, 1932 in Faxon, Oklahoma, to parents; Cecil H. and Stella M. McFatridge Wagner; a former resident of Florida, and has resided in Conroe for the past 8 years. He received his BA in Theology from the Baptist Bible College, was a retired pastor, and member of Mims Baptist Church. He also enjoyed church activities, gospel music, wood working, football, and especially spending time with family.

Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by his parents and brother: W. J. Wagner. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Jean Miller Wagner of Conroe, sons: Mike Wagner and wife Mary of New Mexico, Tom Wagner and wife Vicki of Florida, Donald Wagner and wife Patricia of North Carolina, and Jon Wagner of Florida, daughter: Becci Mach and husband Dan of Conroe, sisters: Evelyn Chenoweth of Oklahoma, Bernice Overman of North Carolina, and Lavella Shaw of Missouri, 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, his loving bird: Bindy, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

For those who desire, donations may be made to the BBFI Missions at P.O. Box 191, Springfield, MO 65801, in Cecil’s name.

Harrington

Doris Faye Sarver Harrington, 86, of Kingwood, died Friday, December 26, 2014, at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with burial following at White cemetery in Highlands. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Doris was born April 16, 1928 in Indian Bayou, Louisiana, to parents; Ernest and Cora Linscombe Sarver, a former resident of Houston as well as Dayton, and has resided in Kingwood for the past two years. She was a graduate of the Indian Bayou High School, a homemaker, and member of the First Assembly of God church. She also enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, and reading.

Mrs. Harrington was preceded in death by her father: Ernest Sarver, mother: Cora Linscombe Sarver, husband of 65 years: Linas Harrington, grandson: Richard Harrington, son-in-law: Donald LaPoint, brothers: William, Richard, Delaney, Norman, Ray, and Wilmer, and sisters: Isso, Inez, and Pearl. She is survived by her son: Stephen Linas Harrington of Kingwood, daughters: Jeanne LaPoint of Crosby, Carol Kane of Crosby, Cindy Sepulvado and husband Paul of Houston, and Paula Berkley of Crosby, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

For those who desire, donations may be made to the First Assembly of God at P.O. Box 1175, Dayton, Texas 77535, in Doris’ name.

Powell

William Tyrone Powell Jr., 52, of Tarkington, died Monday, December 22, 2014.

He was born January 17, 1962 in Elmira, New York to William Tyrone and Gloria May Powell. He enjoyed his grandchildren and family.

He was preceded in death by his father William Tyrone Powell Sr. He was a contractor with Free Enterprises.

He is survived by his mother Gloria Powell; sister Mary Burnett and husband Mark; son William Tyrone Powell III and wife Kirstin and three grandchildren and two nephews.

A visitation with the family will be on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas.

Graveside services and interment will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Palms Memorial Park, on highway 146 in Dayton, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas 77535.

Chapman

Lionel Chapman, 54, resident of Dayton Texas died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in Liberty, Texas.

Visitation is Saturday, December 27, 2014, from 09:00 am to 11:00 am at Wells Funeral Service Chapel, at 300 Alabama Street in Liberty, Texas. Memorial Service will follow with Rev. Shedrick Thomas officiating.

Harmon

Billy E. Harmon, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Midland, Texas.

He was a loving husband, father, son and Pepa. Billy was born November 6, 1928 in Hankamer, Texas to Alva J. & Mildred Harmon.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents; sister Alma Lois Turner; and brother A.J. Harmon. He is survived by his two daughters Katie Harmon of Katy, Texas and Vickie Gotcher and husband Robert; three grandchildren; Joshua Gotcher and his wife Stephanie; Jennifer Stone and her husband Stefen and daughter Layla; and Jordan Gotcher and her son Vincent all of Midland, Texas.

Billy was a man of many talents; artist, florist, woodworker just to name a few. Many close friends and family members will always have a little part of him through his paintings and arts and crafts.

He will be greatly missed by those lives he touched.

A visitation with the family will be on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main St., in Anahuac.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:00am in the Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Anahuac, 204 Trinity St., with Pastor Kelly S. Krone officiating.

Interment will follow in Abshier cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, all are encouraged to make donations or memorial gifts directed to either Hospice of Midland or Abshier cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at Manor Park in Midland at a later date.

Miller

Jewel Miller, 96, of Liberty, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Liberty Health Care Nursing Home in Liberty, Texas.

She was born September 5, 1918 in Jasper, Texas to Charlie Miller and Luevenia Miller. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and worked various jobs in her life.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Connie Sue Fregia Thompson, sister Leona Miller Swearingen and husband Willie Swearingen, a grandson, a granddaughter, a niece and two nephews.

She is survived by her sons Billy Chancellor and wife Sharon, of Fairfield, Texas and Johnny Chancellor and wife Arlene, of West Columbia, Texas and Weldon Fregia and wife Lola, of Raywood, Texas; grandchildren Wes, Tammy, Randall, Kelton, Rebecca, Donna, Ken, Janey, Cyndi, Keith and Kay; great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be on Monday, December 22, 2014 from Noon until 1:00pm where funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas, with Rev Danny Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow in Fairlawn cemetery in Liberty.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Miller will be Randall Chancellor, Michael Chancellor, Randy Thompson, Wesley Michalec, Larry Leftrick and Jerry Swearingen.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas 77535.
