Gibson

Rose Mae Gibson, 90, of Cleveland, Texas, died Monday, May 12, 2014.

She was born February 1, 1924 in Ranger, Eastland County, Texas to parents, Oscar and Alma Soderberg Petty.

Mrs. Gibson was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Cleveland. She was retired from Pasadena Independent School District. Rose loved to play dominoes and also enjoyed tending her garden and rose bushes. Mrs. Gibson was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan and loved watching games whenever possible.

Service for Mrs. Gibson will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Cleveland.

Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Alma Petty; husband, John Earl Gibson; brothers, Bobby, Junior, and Joe Petty; sisters, Jewell Lee Petty and Betty Howell. Rose is survived by her son, William Hodge; granddaughter, Courtnie Hodge, brothers, Sam Petty and wife Janice and Larry Petty and wife Nancy; also numerous nieces nephews, other relatives and many loving friends.

Sharp

Spencer Allen Sharp, 29, died Thursday, May 08, 2014 in Raywood, Texas.

Visitation is Friday May 16, 2014 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Wells Funeral Service Chapel.

Homegoing services will be held Saturday May 17, 2014 at 11:00am at Wells Funeral Service Chapel at 300 Alabama, Liberty, Texas.

Wells Funeral Services has been entrusted with final arrangements.

Williamson

Dorothy Louise Williamson 87 of Hardin, died on Tuesday May 13, 2014 at Liberty Health Care Center in Liberty.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday May 17, 2014 at 2:00 P.M at Faith & Family Funeral Services of Batson, with Reverend Kent Brown officiating.

Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

The family will be receiving friends also on Saturday May 17, 2014 from 12:00 P.M. until time of service at Faith & Family.

Dorothy was born September 6, 1926 in Bellview, Louisiana, to Thomas Levi Brunson and Octavia Hayes Brunson. She had lived in Hardin, since 1948 was an homemaker and also a member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church - Marysee.

She was preceded in death by her sisters; Elsie Walker, Jessie Kaylor, Georgia Faye Green. Brothers; William Thomas Brunson, and T.J. Brunson. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Jimmie Williamson of Hardin, sons Michael Thomas Williamson of Marshall, James Leslie Williamson and wife Linda of Gladewater, Bradford Paul Williamson and wife Kellye of Hardin. Daughters; Laura "Collene" Potetz and husband Robert of Hardin, Annette Marie Yeager and husband Doug of Kingwood, Janet Louise Williamson of Austin, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great - great - great grandchildren and a host of loving friends.

Service of remembrance under the care of Faith & Family Funeral Services Inc. 40847 Hwy 105E. Batson, Texas 77519.

Wilson

Margaret Beason Wilson was born March 19, 1916 in Beckville, TX and died in Pearland, TX on May 11, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wilson, sisters; Elsie Williams, Emma Eddy and Frances Edwards, grandson; Bobby. Surviving her are daughter; Sue Blackmer and husband Stan, son; Dr. Curtis Wilson and wife Sharon, grandchildren; Stephanie and Matthew Blackmer, Amy and John Wilson and wife April and great-grand daughter; Mackenzie.

The Beason family lived in Bryan where Margaret was a cheerleader and yearbook editor in high school. She graduated from Sam Houston State Teachers College in 1936. She was a College Beauty and yearbook editor. It was said that in college, she won popularity through her personality. She married John Wilson in 1938 in Bryan. John was a graduate of Texas A&M. Her personality was such that she made friends everywhere John and she lived. John was a petroleum engineer with Texaco and they lived in Liberty, El Campo and London. Margaret was considered to be “the hostess with the mostest” at all places they lived. They retired to Liberty where she had a new role - Grandmother, and it was an ideal one for Margaret. She was always available for anything they needed.

Graveside services for Margaret Beason Wilson will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2pm at Cooke cemetery in Liberty, TX, under the direction of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church at 539 Main, Liberty, TX 77575 or the Alzheimer’s Association for Research, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC, 20090-6011.

Barrett

Tommy Wayne Barrett 39, of Channelview passed May 06, 2014.

A Memorial Service will be held, 10AM Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Oak Island Baptist Church, Oak Island, TX.

Cherishing his memories are Parents; Gerald Dean Barrett (Michelle), Margaret Gore (Tony Sullivan), Children: Chance Barrett and Kyleigh Barrett. Siblings: Billy Barrett, (Dallas Fox), Charles Barrett (Rhonda Thomas), Kelly Mancina, Audrey Barrett, Madison Barrett and Jacob Barrett. Nieces: Jaida Barrett, Bridgette Fox, Acelin Barrett, Ashley Barrett, Meghan Thomas, Raven Mancina. Nephews: Billy Barrett II, John Mancina and a host of other relatives and friends.

Tillman

Jerry Lynn Tillman, 67, of Old River-Winfree, Texas, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother died Saturday, May 10, 2014.

She was born March 25, 1947 in Liberty County, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Loyce Clemens and loving husband of 45 years, Charles Franklin Tillman. She was a lifetime member of Old River Assembly of God Church, a devoted Christian, youth group leader and most of all a spiritual mom to many who came in contact with her.

She is survived by her daughters: Debbie Clanton and husband Gary Wade, Gayle Tillman-Arnold and husband Bruce, Jennifer McLean and husband Chad and Kathryn Fugere and husband John; son: Dwayne Tillman; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sisters: Jonell Buckles and husband Art and Frankie Simmons and husband James and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, with Bro. Gene Summers officiating.

Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old River Assembly of God Church Building Fund, 40 County Road 401, Dayton, Texas 77535.

Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas.

DeSha

Marguerite Francis Stuckey DeSha age 91 passed away Saturday May 10, 2014 in Liberty, Texas.

Marguerite was born in Greyburg, Texas November 4, 1922 the daughter of the late James Gordon Stuckey and Yeti Mae Tucker Stuckey. A homemaker the majority of her life she enjoyed reading her bible, working in her yard, and spoiling her grandchildren. Anyone who ever met Marguerite would describe her as one of the “sweetest” of ladies.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert O. DeSha, son Bobby Dean DeSha, sisters Mary Ruth Rhodes and Gloria Mae Ewing, as well as two brothers James Gordon Stuckey JR and Jan Ray Stuckey.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory sons; David A. DeSha and wife Connie, Mike DeSha and wife Mary, daughters; Ellouise Ressler, Connie Sue Livingston, and Vickie Lynn Kirby, sister; Melba Clemmons. In addition she leaves sixteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday May 13, 2014 from 5-8 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Devers. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 10AM at the church with burial to follow in Stacey cemetery.

Skinner

John William Skinner, 68, of Hardin, died on Tuesday May, 6 2014 at his residence.

John was born October 27, 1945 in Liberty, to Jack Skinner and Helen Dempsey Skinner. He had lived in Houston, for about thirty years before moving to Hardin. He was owner and operator of Skinner Dump Truck & Tractor Services of Houston, and was also a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen Skinner and brother, Jackie Skinner.

John is survived by his wife Virginia "Ginger" Skinner of Hardin; son, John Boyd Skinner of Hardin; daughter, Connie Ann Savoy and fiance' Jerry Glenn Neenan of Dayton; grandchildren, Madelyn Mae Savoy, Mallory Claire Savoy, Shelby Skinner, and Caden Dakota Skinner; brothers, Darryl Skinner of Hardin, James Edward "BO" Skinner of Deer Park: sister; Barbara Ann Oregon of Deer Park and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of loving friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 at 11:00A.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Woody Sonnier officiating.

Pfeiffer

Nancy Malinda Rushing Pfeiffer, 80, of Richmond, Texas died Thursday, May 8, 2014.

She was born January 18, 1934 in Paris, Texas to parents Hi Rushing and Thelma M. Gibson Rushing.

Service for Mrs. Pfeiffer will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday evening at Pace-Stancil, Cleveland. Interment will be at Ryan cemetery.

Mrs. Pfeiffer is preceded in death by husband, Odell Pierce; husband, Robert Pfeiffer; brother, John Rushing and sister, Chety Arnold. She is survived by sons, Mike Pierce and wife Judy, and Patrick Pierce; sisters, Rachel Smith, Barbara Collis, and Judy Rice; brother, Charlie Rushing; grandchildren, Shanna, Logan, Patrick, Priscilla; great-grandchildren, Conner, Arella, George, Eli; also other relatives and friends.

Faul

Elaine Sue Faul, age 62 and a resident of Huffman, Texas, died Monday, May 5 2014 at her home.

She was born November 20, 1951 in Jennings, Louisiana to Alvin Richard and Ella Mae Gallett.

She is preceded in death by her father and husband Donald James Faul. Survivors include her mother, Ella Mae Richard; sons, Dustin Faul and Lonnie Faul and wife Christy; grandchildren, Madilyn, Abigail, Victoria, Laynee and Hadley Faul; brothers, Alvin Ray Richard, Leonard Jean Richard and Roland James Richard; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Father Vincent Alexius will preside over funeral services held Friday, May 9, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas with entombment following at 1:00 p.m. at Rosewood cemetery Humble, Texas.
