Mitchell

Laura Agnes Mitchell was born on November 28, 1930, in Ames, Texas to the late Jules Mallet Jr. and Alice Broussard Mallet.

She died Tuesday, November 12, 2013.

In November of 1951, she was united in marriage to Joseph Gregory Mitchell. They shared 32 years of marriage until his death in January 1984. Through this union, eight children were born, two boys and six girls. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was later employed by Sears and Roebuck and retired after 20 years of service.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wells Funeral Service at 300 Alabama St. in Liberty, Texas.

The celebration of life will be Thurs, Nov. 21, 2013 at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Ames, Texas. The viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by a rosary at 10:00 a.m. The mass of Christian Resurrection at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Father George Okeahialam, MSP.

Burial will follow at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic cemetery in Ames, Texas under the direction of Well's Funeral Services.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: one son; Jonathan Mitchell (Corliss) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, five daughters: Myrna Rochelle Joubert (Marshall) of Newcastle, Delaware, Clarissa Campbell (Eddie) of Beaumont, Texas, Claudette Bowden (Richard) of Port Arthur, Texas, Alice Mitchell of Port Arthur, Texas and Althea Christian of Beaumont, Texas, 21 grandchildren: Erica Tiffany, Lawrence (Ebony), Ariel (Jeremy), Danny Jr. (Sabrine), Anthony, Patrice, Jasmine, Crystal, Emily, Jonathan Jr., Stephen, Sommer, Joshua, Sable, Taylor, Brittani (Michael), Joseph lll, Jeremy, Colby (Mercedes), Jasiri, Brandon, Brianna, and 12 Great grandchildren; Tyneshia, Jeremiah, Kendhal, Tyrese, James, Ava, Mackenzee, Ayana, Michael lll, Derion, Jaiden, Kayden, Cameron and Jorden; three sisters; Velma Richard of Port Arthur, Texas, twin sister Barbara Calhoun of Houston, Texas, and Jacqueline Delahoussaye of Ames, Texas, three brothers; Rudolph Mallet of Ames, Texas, Melvin Mallet (Alma) of Tyler, Texas, and Harold Mallet (Berna) of Freemont, California; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Wells Funeral Services has been entrusted with the final arrangements.

Hancock

Johnny Hancock, Jr. died Friday, November 15, 2013.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Service Chapel at 300 Alabama, Liberty, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at Wells Funeral Service Chapel in Liberty, Texas at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Gregg Bellard officiating.

Interment will follow in Wells Memorial cemetery in Liberty, Texas.

Martin

Lenitta L. Martin, 73, of Dayton, died Thursday, November 14, 2013, at her residence.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 25, 2013, at the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Lenitta was born September 5, 1940 in Dayton, to parents; Manuel L and Clara Ashley Martin, and a longtime Dayton resident. She was a graduate of the Dayton High School class of 1959 and was former secretary of the Dayton Pioneer Student Association. She was retired book keeper from Kountze ISD, Seabreeze-Culvert, and Gulf Coast Market. Lenitta was a member of the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church and the Kenefick Civic Center. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, travel, and church activities.

Lenitta was preceded in death by her father: Manuel Leo Martin, mother: Clara Ashley Martin, sisters: Barbara Brown and Carol Parker, brother: Robert “Bob” Martin, and sister-in-law: Sherry Martin. She is survived by her daughter: Susan Marty and husband Tom of CA, son: Allen Whitman and wife Priscilla of Baytown, brother: Will R. “Butch” Martin of Dayton, grandchildren: Ashley Marty, Patricia Marty, Amanda Esparza and husband Jesse, Anthony Poppe, and great-grandchildren: Christopher and Nicholas Esparza, lifelong best friend: Cheryl Thomas of Granbury, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of floral remembrances the family requests that donations be made to the Rhonda Perk Transplant Fund at 3536 FM 1008, Dayton, TX 77535.

Byrom

Nathan Joel Byrom, 76, of Anahuac, died on Thursday, November 14, 2013, in Beaumont, Texas at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Mr. Byrom was born January 14, 1937, in Port Arthur, Texas to Emmette Charles Byrom and Regina Borell Byrom.

A visitation with the family will be on Monday, November 18, 2013, from 5pm until 8pm at Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac, Texas. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Anahuac Assembly of God.

Interment will follow in Jackson cemetery.

Mr. Byrom was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Minnie LaVerne Byrom, and two brothers; Charles Byrom and Emmette Carl Byrom.

He is survived by four daughters; Carol Redding, Benita Rubado and husband David, Deborah Cooper and husband Thomas, Natalie Bull and husband Ken, one son, Emmette Byrom, fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Services are under the arrangement of Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 S. Main, Anahuac, Texas 77514.

Anderson

Lana Kay Patton Anderson 64 of Dayton, Texas, died on Friday November 15, 2013 at The Liberty - Dayton Regional Medical Center.

A service of remembrance will be held on Monday November 18, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at The Moss Hill United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Michael Mahaney officiating. Interment will follow at the Jordan cemetery, in Batson. The family will be receiving friends also on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 10:00A.M. until time of service also at the church.

Lana was born January 27, 1949 in Liberty, Texas and had lived in Dayton for about 40 years and was a bank teller with Baytown State Bank, she was also a lobby teller and drive - in teller and was previous Employee of the month at First National Bank of Dayton in 1981. She loved to crochet, and read, and was always ready to help someone.

She was preceded in death by her step-father Weldon Patton.

Those left to survive her are her husband of 44 years Roland Anderson Sr. of Dayton, sons; Roland E. Anderson Jr. and wife Jeanetta of Baytown, Patrick S. Anderson and wife Mercedes of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Brothers; Joe Patton, James Patton Buddy Patton, Ricky Patton all of Batson, and Ronald Patton of Hull, sister; Dorothy Sellers and husband Wilbur of Moss Hill. Grandchildren are Ashley Anderson of Las Vegas, NV, Cindy Anderson of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Zakkary Anderson of Baytown. Serving as pallbearers are Mike Anderson, Dale Anderson, Tex Collins, Arthur Strahan, Blake Strahan, and Joe Patton Jr.

Hoke

Roy Wayne Hoke, 69, of Votaw died on Saturday November 16, 2013 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday November 19, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Votaw Worship Center with Reverend Jason Berry officiating with interment to follow at the Votaw cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday November 18, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.also at the Votaw Worship Center in Votaw.

Roy was born January 6, 1944 in Silsbee, Texas to parents Dewey Hoke and Ella Mae Knight. Roy had lived in Votaw most of his life and was a Truck Driver for many years and was also a Vietnam War Veteran and faithfully served in the United States Army.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Ella Mae Hoke, sister, Mary Fann, nephew, Billy Fann, daughter, Vanessa Lynn Hoke Williams, step-mother, Dot Hoke and brother-in-law, Bobby Fann.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years Minnie Hoke of Votaw, sons, Dewey Hoke of Vidor, Aaron Hoke and wife Staci of Votaw and Clay Henson and wife Ruby of Hemphill. Daughter, Teresa Peden and husband Bobby of Ivanhoe, brothers, C.D. Hoke of Evadale, William Paul Hoke of Branson, Missouri, Robert Hoke of Silsbee, J.D. Hoke of Silsbee and Tim Hoke of Silsbee, Larry Hoke, of Kountze, and a sister, Betty Manning and husband Dime of Buffalo, TX and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Peden, Steven Hoke, Brandon Hoke, Patrick Loller, Kenny Loller and Robert Hoke.

Carrington

Mr. Cal D. “JewPop” Carrington, 71, of Double Bayou, TX, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013.

Cal was born July 24, 1942, to parents Evelyn Rivers Carrington and Cecil Carrington

Cal was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Floyd “Pete” Mayes.

Cal is survived by his wife, Cissi Carrington, his children Calvin D. Carrington, Jr. (Adina), Courtney N. Jackson (Danny), C. Jeanne Carrington, Carlton D. Carrington (Laura). Grandsons: Cody, Colby, Chase, Courtland, and Cayden Carrington. Granddaughters: Jasmine M. Carrington, Mikayla and Camryn Jackson. Stepmother, Louise E. Carrington, siblings: Gwen Carrington, Travis Carrington (Debra), Ray Carrington (Audrey), and Lydia Carrington. A special Great Aunt, Ella B. Rivers. Adopted grandchildren: Samantha, Sophie & Bo Jacob Sizemore. Adopted great-granddaughter Bonnie Rose. Several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013 @ 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Double Bayou TX.

Beddoe

Deborah Kay Beddoe, 51, of Tomball, TX died at North West Medical Center in Houston on Wednesday, November 13, 2013.

Debbie was born in Harlingen, TX on January 15, 1962 and never strayed far from her country roots and her beloved South Texas. A breast cancer survivor, Debbie was a tenacious individual with a passion for family, outdoors, animals, and antiques, especially for her horse Dixie.Most-recently employed by Hewlett-Packard, Debbie was beaming with pride to be contributing to such a fine organization with good-natured coworkers.

She is survived by her parents, Carol & Dan Mallory of Tomball, TX and Father, Bob Beddoe of Canyon Lake, TX. Her legacy continues in her 3 children who she called the Joys of her life; Denny Thomas of Carthage, TX, Dayna Swann of Center TX, & SFC David Thomas (US Army) of Colorado Springs, CO., and having 9 beautiful grandchildren among them (Mackenzie, Katlin, Zachary, Kaleb, Brooklynn, Deborah Grace, Brieanna, Jack & Josh).She is also survived by her siblings; Wally Beddoe of Trumbull, CT, Laura Machicek of Richmond, TX, Kirk Edwards of Rosharon, TX, Craig Mallory of Cypress, TX, Alice DeCoste of Tomball, TX, and Joe Beddoe of Austin, TX.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services, 40847 HWY 105 E., Batson, TX, 77519, (936) 262-2100 or (936) 336-2222.

Justice

Peggy Dolores Wallace Justice, 81, of Dayton died peacefully Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at home.

She was born November 4, 1932 in Houston, Texas to parents Sylvester M. and Julia Ann Mizenko Wallace and attended Incarnate Word Academy. She worked for over 15 years in the accounting department for Sears. Peggy was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching soap operas but most of all she loved her family.

Services for Mrs. Justice will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Larry Theriot officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home and rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be 12:30 p.m. Monday afternoon at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston.

Mrs. Justice was preceded in death by her parents: Sylvester M. Wallace and Julia A. Jones; step-father: Charles “Pop” Jones; husband: Hugh A. “Jim” Justice; grandson: Donald Smith, Jr.; sister: Dorothy Wylie and brother-in-law: Les Wylie. She is survived by her daughters: Julie A. Smith and husband Donnie of Hillsboro and Dolores A. Gonzalez and husband Alex, Jr. of Dayton; sons: Curt McDonnell of Prescott, AZ, Charles Justice and wife On-Anong of Thailand, and Jimmy Justice and wife Canda of Dayton; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

Densmore

Willie Densmore age 82 passed away November 14, 2013 at Liberty Healthcare.

Willie was born in Marvell, Arkansas March 22, 1931. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Willie worked for over thirty years as a crane operator for US Steel.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bobby Frances Barton Densmore, daughter Barbara Ann Densmore, brothers Earl and Jimmy Densmore, and a sister Marie Owens.

He leaves behind his son Steve Lazrine and his wife Vickie, sisters Patricia Morgan, Ruby Huffman, Jessie Barnes, Mary Poole, and Shirley Furr, in addition he leaves three grandchildren, Cory Lazrine, Cody Lazrine, and Kama Lazrine. Willie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held 10 AM Saturday November 16, 2013 at Fairlawn Memorial cemetery Liberty, Texas. Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Brown

Alvin Ray Brown (BoBo), 61, of Liberty died Nov. 04, 2013, with his family by his side.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church, 808 Washington St. Liberty, TX; Rev. L. C. Speights Officiating. Visitation will begin at 9AM until funeral which will begin at 11AM.

Alvin was preceded in death by his wife: Elaine Randolph, parents: James Brown and Laura Simmons Brown, 4- Brothers and 1-Sister. He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter: Alvenia Johnson-Chambers of Baytown, 3-Grandsons: Cameron, Devin, AND Kevin Chambers, Brothers: Melvin Ed Brown and Robert Earl Brown of Houston, TX and Goddaughters: Lashunda Melons of Baytown, TX and a host of Sister-In Laws, Brother-In Laws, Nieces, Nephews, Church Family, Community Friends, other relatives and friends
