Dobbs

Doris Marguerite Dobbs, 91, of Anahuac, Texas passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 in Houston, Texas.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend.

Doris worked as a clerk for the Post Office in Anahuac for over 20 years, owned her own dress shop, and retired from Chambers County Building & Maintenance as a secretary. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the First Baptist Church in Anahuac. She loved watching sports on TV, word puzzles, crocheting, reading and traveling.Doris is preceded in death by her parents; Cora and Joseph Parish, husband; William Hebert Dobbs, brother; Dave Parish, and sister; Lorena Pizzitola.

Doris is survived by her sons; William "Bill" Herbert Dobbs, Jr., and wife Betty, Joseph David Dobbs, and Lloyd Ray Dobbs, and wife Larinda, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchild, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Anahuac. Interment will follow at the Anahuac cemetery. A gathering of Doris' family and friends will be Monday, October 28, 2013 from 12:30 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Anahuac. Pallbearers will be Bobby Hall, Charlie Henry, Justin Houghton, Leslie Houghton, P.J. Manriquez, and Mark Hanlon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Adam Berg, Rob Shane, Mark Shane, and the Chambers County Building & Maintenance Employees from 1981-1991.

Boley

Jan Estelle Richardson Boley, 55, of Lott, Texas died Monday October 7, 2013 at her residence.

She had worked for Hull State Bank and Dayton State Bank at one time. She also worked as a book keeper.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ethel Richardson.

Jan is survived by her; sons, Cory Maddox of Austin, Texas and Christopher Maddox of Hardin, Texas; brothers, James Pruett and wife Nancey of Hull, Texas, Edward Richardson and wife Rachel of Hull, Texas; sisters, Beth Richardson Roberson and husband James of Beaumont, Texas and Pat George and husband David of Austin, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday October 25, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services with Reverend Gideon Watson officiating. The family will be receiving friends Friday October 25, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Gideon Watson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Texas Humane Society, Alzheimer's Society or charity of your choice.

Lee

George William Lee, 89, of Batson, went peacefully Home Thursday October 24, 2013.

He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Liberty. He was a member of Community Church of Christ of Hull. He was a master plumber and a very hard worker. He also had a tremendous laugh.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ollie Lee; grandson, George William Winstead; 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Roxie Lee of Batson; children, Mary Hughes and husband David of Batson, Cathy Parish and husband Joe of Dayton, Judy Gallander and husband Alfred of Anahuac, Janet Hooker and husband Billy of San Marcos, Sarah McGee and husband Kelly of Spring; 12 grandchildren especially Ellen and Sonja, who were his special nurses; 23 great grandchildren; 24 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews especially Curtis Fregia, who was his great helper at all times.

His family will receive friends at Faith and Family Funeral Services Chapel on Saturday October 26, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A service of remembrance is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 27, 2013 at Faith and Family Funeral Services Chapel, officiated by Reverend Letta Storey and Ron Copeland. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Blayne Trahan, Curtis Fregia, Jamie Winstead, BJ Quinn, Brian Gallander and Arthur Fregia.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services, 40847 HWY 105 E., Batson, TX, 77519, (936) 262-2100 or (936) 336-2222.

Rogers

Bertie Mercer Kester Rogers, 97, of Hull, died and Savior Wednesday October 23, 2013. She was a member of Batson Prairie Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Mercer; husbands, Gordon Francis Kester and John Edwin Rogers; 4 brothers; 3 sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances Kester and husband Ted of Hull; grandchildren, Donna Blanton and husband Randy of New Braunfels, Cindy Downs and husband Bo of Sour Lake, Gordon Graham and wife Kelly of Hull, Jody Sullivan and husband Jason of Sour Lake; great grandchildren, Jamie, Kathy, Caitlyn, Collin, Jordan, Rance, Tristan, BreAnne, Jacey and Grayson; great great grandchildren, Olivia and Kaden; numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Faith and Family Funeral Services Friday October 25, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 26, 2013 at Batson Prairie Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Lee Gruver. Internment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gordon Graham, Rance Graham, Jordan Haley, Bo Downs, Leslie Davis and Jason Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers are Leslie Rogers, Collin Downs, Randy Rogers and Clark Rogers.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services, 40847 HWY 105 E., Batson, TX, 77519, (936) 262-2100 or (936) 336-2222.

Lancon

Sibbie (Sylvelin C.) Lancon died October 21, 2013. Sibbie was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 25, 1942.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Romaine and Bernice Sherman.

She is survived by her son, Mike Lancon and wife, Sheri, grandchildren Zac, Madison, and Marcella of Spring, Texas, and son Chris Lancon and wife Rhonda, grandchildren Christopher, Cody, and Sara (Katie) of Wallisville, Texas; one brother, J.R. (Chip) Sherman and wife Martha of Anahuac; sisters Judy Sherman of Liberty, Janet and husband Dave Waldie of Conroe, Karen (KK) and husband David Shepherd of Houston, and Leslie and husband Jim Nelson of Anahuac.

Sibbie was a faithful servant of God, loving mother, fantastic nurse, loyal friend, loving sister, grandmother, and aunt. She will be deeply missed. Her creative talents and willingness to share them are a testimonial of her love.

A memorial service will be Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Anahuac, Texas. A gathering of Sibbie's family and friends will be Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Anahuac, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family is requested that donations be made to the First Baptist Church in Liberty, Texas and the Samaritan Purse.

Hebert

Carolyn Brugger Hebert, 67, of Anahuac, Texas died Sunday, October 20, 2013, at her home in Baytown.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Carolyn worked at Security State Bank, and later retired from Food Town as a Scanning Coordinator.

She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Baytown.

She loved music, enjoyed cooking, was a Girl Scout Leader, a Sunday School Teacher, wrote poetry, was a great seamstress, #1 animal lover, very artistic, a caretaker, and above all else loved her children and grandchildren. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; Dorothy and Arthur Brugger, sister; Eleanor Anderson, nephew; James Michael Tems, and niece Sherrill Tems Howard.

Carolyn is survived by her sons: Joe Lee Rodriguez, Jr., wife Dana, Joshua Colby Hebert, wife Stacey, daughter; Deewana Lynn Flies, Dorothy Rodriguez Hebert, husband Dean, grandchildren; Kristin Amanda Jennings, Kelli Rachelle Jennings, Brittany Denise Jennings, Murphy Lin Rodriguez, Jeremy Michael Foley, Joe Lee Rodriguez, III, Dusti Lin Hebert, sister; Genevieve Henley, niece; Barbara Diane Lively, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

Interment will follow at Anahuac cemetery.

A gathering of Carolyn's family and friends will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Foley, Joe Lee Rodriguez, III, Josh Hebert, David Hatfield, Marlon Farrow, and Jesus Huerta.

Lucero

Elsiemae G. Quinn Lucero, 88, of Dayton, died Sunday, October 20, 2013, at her residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at St. Anne’s Catholic Mission, with burial following at the Eastgate Catholic cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with rosary services at 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Elsiemae was born July 17, 1925 in Friendship, AR, to parents; Frank A. Quinn and Ethel B. Terry, and has been a lifelong resident of the Dayton area.

She was a graduate of the Liberty High School class of 1942, a retired baker from Weingarten’s, member of St. Anne’s Catholic Mission and Catholic Daughters, and volunteered numerous years with the Girl Scouts. She also enjoyed baking, crocheting, knitting, and gardening.

Mrs. Lucero was preceded in death by her father: Frank A. Quinn, mother: Ethel B. Terry Teten, husband of 27 years: Frank Lucero, son: Frank R. Lucero, daughter: Angela F. Hayes, and brothers: Albert D., James C., and Lonzo B. Quinn. She is survived by her daughters: Maria Hanel and husband Leroy of Dayton, Gertrude “Trudy” Brown of Dayton, Lee Halasah and husband Nick of Dayton, and Christina R. Lucero of Dayton, grandchildren: Robert, Dantha, Sunshine, Seba, Jason, Trampas, Audi, Andi, Shena, Albert, Miranda, and Frank, and numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Bell

Dorothy Marie Bell, formerly of Raywood Texas passed away in Humble, Texas.

Wake services will be Friday, December 28, 2012 @ St. Patrick Catholic Church from 5-8pm@ 4918 Cochran Street in Houston, Texas.

Rosary will be @ 10:00am Saturday with Funeral Mass following @ 10:30am Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Raywood, Texas.

Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery in Raywood, Texas.

Services under the direction of Wells Funeral Services, 300 Alabama Street in Liberty, Texas.

Kinney

John Henry Kinney, Jr., 80, of Dayton, Texas passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at Houston Methodist Hospital with his loving family by his side.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

John was a kind and generous man with a servants heart who loved God. He always thought of others instead of himself. One of his famous sayings, among many, was "Blood is thicker than water, but love is thicker than blood." He worked for Warren Petroleum as an underground storage well specialist, PBKBB drill storage site in Beaumont, drilled natural compressed air storage wells in Alabama, and retired from Gulf Petroleum. He loved hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, eating sweets, outdoors, western shows, and his Sunday school class. He was a great story teller and above all else loved his family. John was in the Galena Park Masonic Lodge for 50 years.

John is preceded in death by his parents; Hattie and John Henry Kinney, Sr., brother; Edward Shrader "Buck", sister; Dorothy Faye Powell, and great grandson; Lane Jones. John is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Betty Mae Kinney, children; Stephen Kinney, wife Toni, Terrell Kinney, and Karole Seay, and four of whom he loved as his own, Sid Hutter, Dink Hutter, wife Denise, Julie Green, husband Mitch, Keith Hutter, wife Ginger, grandchildren; Kimberly Jones, Derek Hutter, Wesley Hutter, Adam Kinney, Tara Shannon, Erica Kinney, Kara Dentler, Alessa Hutter, Kristina Kinney, Haley Hutter, Maddie, Allen Ray Seay, Sarah Seay, Michael Seay, great grandchildren; Garrett Jones, John Thomas Jones, Savannah Shannon, Eli Shannon, Isabella Shannon, Emma Grace Hutter, Emma Grace Kinney, Sadie, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at Ole River Baptist Church in Dayton, Texas. Interment will follow at Palms cemetery. A gathering of John's family and friends will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Pallbearers will be Butch Hart, Bobby Smalley, Burnice Williams, Marc Knight, Harold Drake, and Robbie Herrington.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Ole River Baptist Church building fund in Dayton, Texas.

Walker

Al Monroe Walker, age 65 of Georgetown, TX, went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2013 in Round Rock, TX with his loving family by his side.

Al was born May 25, 1948 in Liberty, TX, son of Don Walker and Helen Sanford Walker. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1967 then attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. Al worked as a pharmaceutical salesman for Daichi Pharmaceuticals and then retired from that position. He was an avid fisherman and an excellent boatman and also enjoyed hunting at their deer lease in Huntsville. Al loved his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He will be missed by all.

Al was preceded in death by his father.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-two years; JoAnn Walker of Georgetown, daughters; Lisa Horton and husband Jerry of Georgetown, Amy Walker of Georgetown, mother; Helen Sanford Walker of Liberty, brother; Jay Walker and wife Carol of Mississippi, sisters; Donna Fry Robbins of Liberty, Debbie Walker of Liberty, grandchildren; Caroline Horton, Carson Horton, Campbell Horton and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services for Al Monroe Walker will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 1pm at First Baptist Church in Liberty with burial to follow at Cooke cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 21, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX.
