Carter

On August 26, 1976. Tamika was born to Mary Brooks and William Hall.

She was the first of three children – two girls and one boy. As a child, she began her Christian walk with the Turkey Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She attended Liberty High School in Liberty, Texas. Graduated with the Class of 1995. After her high school graduation she attended Lee College for two years. She was employed with Liberty Health Care Center as a staff coordinator until her illness.

Tamika and Johnny united in matrimony in July, 2011. She will be remembered for her corn casserole and famous pasta salad and coordinating family gatherings. She was member of the choir and she also helps whatever was needed in the church.

Tamika fought a good fight and finished her course on February 11, 2013. Preceded in death by her father: William Hall; grandparents: Earnest and Ellen Brooks, Newgnee Hall; uncles: Robert and Billy Ray Brooks; two children: Darius and Tressa.

She leaves to cherish her memories; husband, Johnny Carter, Jr.; children: Javeoan, Zequasia, Jocorous and Jaron; Parents: Thomas and Mary Ford; sisters: Miranda (Dalton)Eaton of Liberty, Texas, Ingrid Johnson of Louisiana, brothers: Dustin Ford of Liberty, Texas and Ronald Pete of Louisiana; three nieces; Maria, Myah and Ivy; godchildren: Cambranika, Harold III, and Embrie; Father and Mother-in-law: Johnny and Elizabeth Carter of Liberty, Texas.

A host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, included the family of Turkey Creek Baptist Church family.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Turkey Creek Baptist Church, Liberty, Texas with the Reverend A.K.Thomas, officiating. . Interment in Wells Memorial cemetery, Liberty, Texas.

Services entrusted to Wells Funeral Services, 300 Alabama St, Liberty, Texas.

Ramos

Merrill Lynn Alford Ramos, 61 formerly of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Pine Shadows Retreat Nursing Home in Porter, Texas, after a lengthy illness.

Lynn, as she was known, was born to Juana Colleen Padon and Douglas Mearl Alford in Richter Hospital, Dayton, Texas, on September 9, 1951.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister aunt and friend.

Merrill Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Mearl and Juana Colleen Padon Alford; sister, Linda LaRue Alford; and brother, Robert Douglas Alford.

Merrill Lynn loved reading, writing poems of what her Savior had done for her, coloring, making art work with her hands, telling stories to anyone who would listen, talking with others, encouraging those around her and just living and loving in general.

Merrill Lynn is survived by her son: Allen Ray Talley of Baytown; daughter: Juana Gavina Ramos and Gary Breedlove, of Katy; grand-daughter: Breeanna Nicole Smith, of Katy; sisters: Florence Gail Foxworth and A.J., of Crystal Beach, Alma Vilene Villarreal and Kenneth Dickerson, of Ames; brothers: Samuel Earl Alford and wife Barbara of Hardin, Melvin Daniel Alford and Karen, Lewis Charles “L.C.” Alford and wife Lynn of Liberty, and numerous loving nieces, nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service with Brother Tony Hines officiating will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Hardin Baptist, located at 138 C.R. 2003 South, Hardin, Texas.

Merrill Lynn Alford Ramos will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Daigle-Miller

Pearl Daigle-Miller 87 of Winnie died February, 11, 2013.

Pearl was born, September, 24, 1925 to Adam and Edna Daigle in Eunice, La. She moved to Winnie, TX, during her adult years. Pearl was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two children: Theresa Frank and Joseph Miller.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories: husband: Henry Thomas; two daughters: Vernice Lartigue of Winnie, TX, LouAnna Frank (Tim) of Eunice, La., Son: Paul Miller. Sisters: Louise Fransaw of Eunice, La, Lucille Holton of California, granddaughter: Ann Patterson (Tyrone), other Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and a host of other, relatives and friends.

Service will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at St. Louis Catholic Church 315 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, TX . Visitation from 8AM until Mass beginning at 9:30AM. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Winnie, TX.

Services are being handled by Proctor’s Mortuary 518 Miller St. Anahuac, Texas.

Pena

Theresa Diane Segovia Pena, 53 of Patton Village, TX died at Northeast Houston Medical Center in Humble.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. A gathering of Theresa's family and friends will be from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the funeral home.

Theresa was born in Dayton, TX and lived in Patton Village for the past 14 years. She loved playing her game boy. She loved being with her family.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 37 years, Juan Pena; daughter, Angela Pena and husband, Raul Ortiz; parents, Joe Segovia and Clara; granddaughters, Angelic Quaid and Deanna Ortiz; sisters, Nancy Lively and Shirley Johnson; brothers, Joseph Segovia and Joe Segovia Jr.; and a host of other family and friends.

Eddins

Ronnie Wayne Eddins, 71, of Dayton died at his residence on February 7, 2013.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February, 13, 2013 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Interment will take place in Houston National cemetery. A gathering of Ronnie's family and friends will be from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the funeral home.

Ronnie was preceded in death by parents Buddy and Blanch Eddins; sister, Donna Jane Eddins; brothers, Wade Eddins and Jimmie Eddins. He served honorably in the Army as an Artillery Surveyor in Germany. He worked as a longshoreman for 31 years until his retirement. He loved hunting, fishing and playing music. In his later years, he enjoyed playing the role of "PAW" to his grandson Levi.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Eddins; daughter, Monica Marie Eddins; sons, Ronnie William Eddins and Alton Ray Eddins; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Caldwell; and a host of other family and friends.

Lombardino

Marie Lombardino, age 79 of Liberty, died February 11, 2013 in Liberty, TX.

Marie was born on December 15, 1933 in Liberty, TX, daughter of the late Anton and Elsie Carter Knause. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1951 was a bookkeeper for Liberty County and retired after thirty years of service. She married the late Paul E. Lombardino in 1954 and spent forty-seven wonderful years of marriage until his death in 2002. Marie was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Altar Society and the Liberty County Texas A&M Mother’s Club. Marie loved the Liberty Opera House, Senior Citizen Center and her deer, squirrels and birds. Gardening, reading and cooking was her passion. She was awarded the Aggie Mom of the Year Award and was a den mother in the cub scouts.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and granddaughter; Anna Frances Lombardino. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, sons; Claude Lombardino and wife Debbie of Bowling Green, MO, Paul Lombardino and wife Beth of Fox River Grove, IL, David Lombardino and wife Melinda of Houston, TX, Philip Lombardino and wife Kelly of Greensboro, NC, daughters; Jetta Rickard of Liberty, TX, Susan Hutcheson and husband Charles of Dayton, TX, brother; Charles Knause and wife Jerry of Auburn, AL, grandchildren; Lindsay Lombardino, Josh Lombardino, John Paul Lombardino, Mary Christine Lombardino, Gina Marie Lombardino, Jennifer Rickard, Tony Rickard, David Michael Lombardino II, Anna Lombardino, Andrea Janise, Price Lombardino, Caroline Lombardino, Davin Hutcheson, great-grandchildren; Emma Lombardino, Joshua Janise and Jordan Janise.

Services for Marie Lombardino will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 411 Milam in Liberty, TX at 10am with burial to follow at the Liberty Catholic cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX with the rosary to start at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marie’s memory to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 411 Milam, Liberty, TX 77575 and the Liberty County Texas A&M Mother’s Club Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 642, Dayton, TX 77535.

Roberts

Vernice Cook Roberts, 79, of Liberty died, Saturday, February 09, 2013 at her residence with her family by her side.

Vernice was born March 25, 1933 in Liberty, TX, to the late Charlie Williams and Ellen Dickerson.

She was a Missionary, Nurse and lifelong resident of Liberty.

Vernice was baptized at an early age at Lone Star Baptist Church, now under the leadership of Rev. O'neal Edwards, where she served God in many roles: Sunday School Teacher, Choir President, Mission President and later Deaconess until her death. She graduated from Liberty Training High School and later married Frank Cook and brought into this union a daughter, Patricia Williams and 6 children were born: Merlene Ann, Wilma Jean, Judy Elizabeth, Virgil Neal, Earl Patrick and Phillip Wayne. After raising her children to adulthood she returned to school to become a Certified Nurse’s Aide and spent a very rewarding 30 years taking care of the sick. She later married Richard Roberts and cared for him until his death.

Vernice was preceded in death by her parents: Charlie Williams and Ellen Dickerson; daughter: Patricia Williams; first husband: Frank Cook; second husband: Richard Roberts; Great Grandson: Bailey Cadoree and Granddaughter: Aubrey W. Cook.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughters: Merlene Edwards (O’Neal) of Baytown, TX, Wilma Randolph (Earl) of Liberty, TX, and Judy Cadoree of Dayton, TX, sons: Virgil Cook (Mary) of Dayton, TX, Earl Cook (Donneshea) of Mt. Belvieu, TX, and Phillip Cook (Ashley) of Dayton, TX, brothers: Andrew Williams and Zeno Williams (Theresa) of Houston, TX; 14- Grandchildren, 21- Great Grandchildren, 1- Great Great Grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church, 1600 Wallisville Rd., Liberty, TX. Rev. A.K. Thomas, Pastor. Visitation will be from 8 AM to 10 AM preceding the service. Interment will be at Lone Star cemetery, Moss Bluff, TX. The Family is being cared for by Proctor’s Mortuary, 518 Miller St. Anahuac, TX. .

Vinson

Allie Mae Vinson age 85 of Liberty died February 10, 2013 in Beaumont at the Baptist Hospital.

Allie was born in Batson, Texas, February 12, 1937, the daughter of the late Guy Kenneth Kimbrell and Lula Mae Morris Kimbrell. Allie enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling, especially trips to the canyons. Most important in her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her home was always the meeting place for every holiday meal and function. She was also a devoted and very active member of the Heights Baptist Church in Liberty.

Allie was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her beloved husband Luby Ray Vinson, daughter Peggy Vinson Smart, Sister Mary Lou Joynor, and a brother Glenn Everett Kimbrell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Kenneth Ray Vinson and wife Karla of Baytown, daughters Jo Anne Smith husband Tommy of Liberty and Linda Kay Kelsey husband James of Seguin. In addition she leaves her ten grandchildren, Michael DeBlanc wife Lana, Melinda Fisher husband Miles, Lisa Jimenez husband Frank, Chris Kelsey, Kenny Vinson wife Christine, Kristi Vinson and friend Richard, David Smart wife Buddie, Kevin Smart wife Angel, Alan Smart, and Stephen Smart wife Kelly. She also leaves twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Allie will be held Wednesday February 13, 2013 from 5-8PM at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Funeral Services will be held 10AM Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Heights Baptist Church, Liberty, Texas with burial to follow in Cooke Memorial cemetery.

Budro

Jo Ann Budro age 73 of Liberty died February 10, 2013 at her home with her beloved family by her side.

Jo Ann was born in Cleveland, Texas August 6, 1939 the daughter of the late Willie J. Noble and Virginia E. Noble. She worked for the Liberty County Attorney’s Office as a Legal Secretary for many years. She was a graduate of Liberty High School class of 1958; she was one of the original twelve Prancers. She enjoyed reading, gambling, and traveling.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents as well as William Edward Budro, Darrell Dwayne “DD” Budro and Wade Wiggins.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of fifty-four years Richard Darrell Budro, daughters; Jana Rives husband Earnest, Dana Wiggins husband Jack, Paige Hughes and Larry Jost, Pat Budro Sanders husband Tim, and Krystal Renfrow; Sister-in-laws Patsy Hammock and Brenda Ford, brothers; Cullen Noble wife Judy and Jimmie Noble wife Jan. Grandchildren Tabitha Hunsinger, William “Bill” Dwayne Budro, Kelby Worthy wife Danielle, Amanda Smith husband Jason, Richard “Rick” Bradley Budro, Kolby Worthy wife Lachelle, Jarrod Wiggins wife Stephanie, Kelsey Worthy, Nathan Hughes, and Shelby Hughes, great-grandchildren Jace Wiggins, Scarlett Smith, Kade Worthy, and Jaxton Wiggins. In addition she leaves numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 5-8PM, at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas 77575. A graveside service will be held 10AM February 13, 2013 at Fairlawn cemetery, Liberty, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jo Ann’s memory to Odyssey Hospice 550 Fannin Beaumont, Texas 77701.

Fregia

Alice Faye Young Fregia, 72, of Daisetta died Sunday, February10, 2013 in Beaumont.

She was born December 25, 1940 in Liberty, Texas to parents, Carl Emanuel and Mary Lena Young. Mrs. Fregia was a lifelong resident of Daisetta where she was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed gospel singing, sewing, and gardening. Most of all she loved her family.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at United Pentecostal Church, 505 Utah, Daisetta. Interment will follow at Oakdale cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Visitation for Mrs. Fregia will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 40 years: Rudolph Fregia, sons: Rudolph V. Fregia and Rudy Fregia, daughter: Barbara L. Fregia; grandchildren: Edward Ray Musselwhite, Jr. and Rebecca Fregia and baby; sisters: Celina Fregia and Jerry L. Chapman; also two infant brothers. She is survived by her daughters: Terry Simmons and husband Timmy of Beaumont, Irene Youngblood and husband Lee, Jr. of Hull, Ruth Fregia of Hull, Judy Pitay and husband Randel of Raywood, and Debra Fore and husband Travis of Hardin; son: Joseph Fregia of Hull; nineteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; brother: Carl Young, Jr. of Baytown; sisters: Ida Clear of Louisiana and Zeda Shackleford of Kountze; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rousseau

James John Rousseau, 57, of Cleveland, Texas, died Friday, February 08, 2013 at Kingwood Medical Center.

He was born November 18, 1955 in Norwich, Connecticut. James was a former resident of Holly Hill, Florida. Eight months ago he married his lovely wife Betty. He was a truck driver by trade, motorcycle enthusiast, and spent a lot of time on the road. He will surely be missed by those who love him.

Survivors include his loving wife Betty Crosby Rousseau of Cleveland, Texas; his father George J. Rousseau, Sr. and step-mother Joan Rousseau of Florida; mother Gladys Rousseau of Florida; brothers George Joseph Rousseau, Jr., of Florida, John Joseph Rousseau of Florida; sisters Jeanine Cline of Florida, MaryAnne Webber of Florida; and his devoted K-9 friend and companion “BO”; numerous other cherished family members and friends.

Dove

Billy “Joe” Dove, 78, of Dayton die Friday, February 08, 2013 in Conroe.

He was born in Rayville, Louisiana to parent William Decatur and Ruby Jewel Phillips Dove. He attended Robert E. Lee High School and was a longtime resident of Houston where he worked as a crane operator for Armco Steel. Mr. Dove moved to Dayton in 2004 and was a member of South Dayton Baptist Church. He also was a member of the Steel Workers Local and had been a Little League coach for sixteen years. He founded the Northshore Boxing Club and was a great fan of boxing.

Services for Mr. Dove will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Termite Watkins and Forrest Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Dove was preceded in death by father: William D. Dove, mother: Ruby Phillips Oates, wife: Kunigunde “Erika” Amanda Höhn Dove, son: Randy Dove, and step-father: W.W. “Bill” Oates. He is survived by his son: Eric L. Dove and wife Connie of Deer Park; his daughter: Tina Carroll and husband Keith of Huffman; six grandchildren: Bradley Dove, Brent Dove, Mackenzie Carroll, Amanda Dove, Cody Carroll and Mathew Dove; one great-grandson: Slade Dove; sisters: Mary “Bootsie” Killen of Dayton; Bobbie Jones of Jamestown; Maxine Mosley of Dayton; Debbie Short of Dayton, and Nancy Wood of Orangefield; also numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
