Walter Leon Warner Sr., 68 of Dayton died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his residence. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

Local services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Walter was preceded in death by parents, George Warner and Margaret Lock; sister, Peggy Burton; stepson, Matthew Leland Lock. He loved to drive Big Rigs.

Walter is survived by his wife, Donnette Warner; daughter, Lavica Wallace and husband, David, Leah Warner and husband, Jim Schank; sons, Walter Warner Jr., and Joseph Lock; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Gonzales

Frank E. “Poncho” Gonzales, 64, of Dayton, died Friday, January 25, 2013, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton.

Frank was born July 24, 1948 in Bonus, to parents; Saturnino and Consuelo Smith Gonzales, a former resident of Baytown, and has resided in Dayton for the past 13 years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and enjoyed collecting guns, mechanics, and electrical work.

Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by his parents, son: Shannon E. Gonzales, grandson: Nate Ladkins, brothers: Mike, Alfred, and Robert Gonzales, sister: Becky Burrow, and nephew: Johnny W. Gonzales. He is survived by his wife of 19 years: Mary Rollins Gonzales of Dayton, sons: Clint E. Gonzales of Houston and Johnny Mayo of Dayton, daughters: Mary Mayo of NC, Alice Ladkin of Dayton, Stella Mayo of LA, and Mona Cross of Baytown, sisters: Angie Martinez of Center, Bernice Villanueva of Alvin, Gladys Hunsley of Center, Janie Gonzales of Pearland, and Mary Crawford of Baycliff, brothers: Manuel Gonzales of Dayton, Louis Gonzales of Manvel, Sam Martinez of Pearland, Joe Martinez of Alice, and John Paul Martinez of CA, sisters-in-law: Lupe Gonzales of Eagle Lake, Lupe Guadalupe of Houston, and Delfina Gonzales of Eagle Lake, 21 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ford

Joan Katherine Ford, age 83 of Liberty, died January 23, 2013 in Humble, TX.

Joan was born on March 5, 1929 in Oklahoma City, OK, daughter of the late Wilbern and Jewell Roberts Segars. She attended Classen High School in Oklahoma City and then spent two years of college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. In June of 1949, Joan married the late Robert Ford and was married for sixty-three years before his passing. Joan was a member of Pi Beta Phi while attending SMU and was the Executive Director of SOS for almost ten years. She was also a tutor at the South Liberty United Methodist Church in Liberty.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Robert Ford, two brothers and two sisters. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, sons; Jeff Ford and wife Peg of Missouri City, TX, Greg Ford and wife Kim of Tulsa, OK, daughter; Kathy Hughes and husband Donlee of Houston, TX, sisters; Shirley Smith and husband Lowell of Rio Vista, TX, Jerry Lou Scott and husband Robert of San Antonio, TX, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

Services for Joan Katherine Ford will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2pm at the First United Methodist Church in Liberty. Burial will follow at Cooke cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX. Memorials can be made in Joan’s name to South Liberty United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 9121, Liberty, TX 77575-9121.

Fereday

Eugenia Shaw Fereday, 59 of Anahuac died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 4, 2013 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac. Interment will follow in Anahuac cemetery.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Shaw. She loved walking her dogs and being with family.

Jeanie is survived by her father, Milton Shaw; daughter, Samantha Bond and husband, DiDier Fort; sons, Trent Fereday and wife, Medeja, Travis Fereday and wife, Veronica; grandchildren, Tori Fereday, Thana Fereday, Alexa Fort, Keegan Fort; brother, Bowen Shaw; and a host of other family and friends.

Hall

Danny Hall, 60 of LaPorte passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at LaPorte Health Care. He was a loving nephew, and friend.

Memorial services will be held at a later date under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lois Hall; brother, Lawrence Hall; sister, Wanda Spiller; daughter, Ashley Hall.

Danny loved playing the guitar and riding Motorcycles.

Danny is survived by his Aunts, Patsy Riggs, and Alice Hallman; nephews, Chris and Patrick Spiller' special friend, Deborah Bass and a host of other family and friends.

Penick

Mary Jo Penick, 85, of Anahuac died Saturday, January 26, 2013 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Anahuac. Interment will follow in Anahuac cemetery. A gathering of Mary Jo's family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the funeral home.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Penick; sisters, Luda Mae, Velma Lois; brother, Valry "Bubba" Brown; and special companion, Ernest "Sonny" Ezer. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Anahuac. She taught in Anahuac ISD for 35 years. She graduated from Baylor University in 1949. She was a member of the DAR, Hull Daisetta Classics and Baytown Quilt Guild.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky Fancher and husband, Clint, Donna Sue Henry and husband, Jerry, Nita Kay Waterman and husband, Don; grandchildren, Alissa Swonke and husband, Todd, Marcy Green and husband, Adam, Kimberly Pye and husband, Brandon, Micah Henry, Jeremy Henry, Brooke Henry, Cameron Pessarra, Alex Waterman, Casey Pessarra; great-grandchildren, Emma, Eli, Aaron, and Alex; and a host of other family and friends.

Rhodes

Dusty Charles Rhodes 74 of Thicket, Texas died Sunday January 27, 2013 at his daughter's residence in Sour Lake.

A service of remembrance will take place on Wednesday January 30, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the grave site at Hall cemetery in Thicket with Reverend Clyde Somers officiating. The family will be recieving friends on Tuesday January 29, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00P.M at Faith & Family.

Dusty was born July 8. 1938 in Kennefick. Texas known at one time as "Simmons Bottom" to parents Charles Henry Rhodes and Eara Mabel Majors. He had lived in Houston and Splendora area for many years before moving to Thicket, and was a supervisor for Brown & Root Construction of Houston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ray Rhodes, two sisters Loyce Collins and Viola Davis.

Survivors are His love Carol Bebee of Thicket, sons Dusty Lyn Rhodes of Cleveland, Dusty Charles Rhodes Jr. and wife Stephanie of Thicket, William Arlon Rhodes and wife Laura of Huffman. Daughters Wendy Day and husband Michael of Sour Lake, stepdaughters Susan Manning, Vallery Dishman and Stephanie Rhodes. Brothers I.D. Rhodes and Henry Rhodes both of Thicket, sister Cassie Sims of Iola, Texas. Grandchildren Steven, Christopher, Cody, Caleb, Megan, Lauren, Zachary, Gabrielle and Dusty Rhodes III, Leslie, Paula, and Keri. Great grandson; Christian Taylor. Serving as pallbearers are Steven Taylor, Christopher Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Zachary Rhodes, Dusty Charles Rhodes III and Cody Day. Honorary pallbearers are M.C. Carrol, Leland Edge, Leonard Loftin, Carl Smith, and Doug Brown.

White

Funeral Service for Bernice Elizabeth White, 79, of Liberty, Texas, will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, Ames, Texas with Father Daniel Oghene, M.S.P. celebrant.

Rev. Father George N. Okeahialam M.S.P Pastor. Rosary will be at 9:00 A.M. Burial in Ames Catholic cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters: Florina Dale White and Anita Zsa Zsa Morris; two brothers: Fredrick Arceneaux and Adam Arceneaux: two sisters: Josephine Bernard and Louise Walker; grandchildren: Aron Jovan Morris, Chisha Andrea Morris and Kaylan Alicia Morris, a host of relatives and friends.

Wells Funeral Services 300 Alabama, Liberty, Texas has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Adams

Alvin Adams Jr. age 57 died January 18, 2013 at his home in Baytown.

Alvin was born in San Francisco, CA March 9, 1955 the son of Alvin Adams Sr. and Eunice Edna Nelums Adams. Alvin worked for many years for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a parole officer. After he graduated from Keenan High School in South Carolina, he went on to join the US Army. He later received both a BA and a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from the American Technological University. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed cooking.

He was preceded in death by his sister Dianne Adams Evans.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents Alvin and Eunice Adams of Bloomington, Indiana as well as his niece Meredith Lee Evans of Bloomington, Indiana.

A funeral service for Alvin will be held 10AM Wednesday January 30, 2013 at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas. Burial to be held in Houston National cemetery at a later date.

Walters

Linda Lee Walters age 63 died Saturday January 26, 2013 at St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

Linda was born March 31, 1949 in Yakima, Washington the daughter of the late Zane Verlon Woodcock and Florence Wilma Henley Woodcock.

Linda was a homemaker and owned and operated Yesterday’s Charms an antique company.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of thirty-eight years Bobby Walters of Liberty, son Jody Joe of Ellensburg, Washington, nine brothers and sisters, and two grandchildren. She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas.

Boullion

Albert Boullion, Jr., 73, of Dayton, died Saturday, January 26, 2013, at his residence surrounded by family.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with burial following at the Magnolia Park cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary service, Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Albert was born September 2, 1939 in Morse, LA, to parents; Albert, Sr. and Eula Mae Louviere Boullion, and has resided in Dayton for the past 38 years. He was a retired rigging supervisor in construction, member of St. Joseph and St. Anne’s Catholic Churches, and enjoyed gardening, hunting, camping, watching his westerns, and especially spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Boullion was preceded in death by his father: Albert Boullion, Sr., mother: Eula Mae Louviere Boullion, parents-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. Ferman Breaux, brother: Ellis “CoCo” Boullion, sister: Mary J. “Sugar” Lejeune, son-in-law: Scott Cone, brother-in-law: Joe Clairmont, and nephews: Chris Cormier and Parnell “Spanky” Clairmont. He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Leora Breaux Boullion of Dayton, daughters: Celida Cone of Dayton and Kristal Foster and husband Mike of Seminole, son: Aric Boullion and wife Emily of Barbers Hill, sisters: Dot Clairmont of MS and Adeline Cormier of OK, grandchildren: Brent Cone and wife Brittany, Madison Cone, Jonathan and Julia Brown, Kylia, Kolton, and Kallee Foster, and Ethan and Owen Boullion, great-grandchild: Audrey Cone, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pitts

Martha Rae Pitts, 47, of Hull died Friday, January 25, 2013.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Liberty. Martha always put her kids first. She was full of grace. She never knew a stranger. Martha’s glass was always half full. She always looked for the silver lining in the clouds.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Iris Peebles.

She is survived by her father, John Peebles of Hull; children Sam Knox Pitts III of El Lago, TX and Destiny Doris Pitts of El Lago, Texas; sister, LeAnn Iris Valdez of San Antonio; aunts, Gwenda Johnston and husband Ray of Beaumont, Jacque Liston-Lognion of Hull, Judy Potts and husband Steve of Katy; uncle, Les Peebles, Sr. and wife Mary of Hull; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday January 28, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Liberty. A service of remembrance will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday January 29, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Liberty, officiated by Reverend Steve Bean. Burial is scheduled later that day at 2:00 p.m. at Davis cemetery near Bulah Springs, just north of Kirbyville, Texas.

Serving as pall bearers are H. R. Johnston III, Mark Johnston, David Johnston, Les Peebles, Jr., John Armstrong and Dwayne Rouse.

Deckert

Joyce Ellen Deckert, age 79 of Hull died January 26, 2013 in Liberty, Texas.

Joyce was born on May 14, 1933 in Batson, TX, daughter of the late Charlie and Myrtle Hickman McCreight. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Daisetta and a diehard fan of her Hull-Daisetta Bobcats. Joyce worked as a cook for Hardin ISD and Hull-Daisetta ISD where she retired. She was a great baker, cook and sewer. She also enjoyed music and loved her family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Charles McCreight, A.W. McCreight, Wayne McCreight and sister; Barbara Jordan. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughter; Karen Gandy of Hull, sons; Mitchell Glenn Deckert of Lufkin, Bevil Deckert and wife Diana of Port Neches, brother; Shane McCreight, grandchildren; Heather Johnson, Felicia Gandy, Brandon Deckert, Jonathon Deckert, Kara Metcalf, great-grandchildren; Rebecca Lazo, Matthew Lazo, Zachary Deckert, Anistyn Deckert, Maddy Metcalf, Avery June Metcalf and her friend and roommate at the nursing home; Norma Fontenot.

Services for Joyce Ellen Deckert will be Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 2pm at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX. Burial will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson. Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2013 from 6pm to 9pm at Allison Funeral Service.
