Graham
Louise Graham, 86 of Dayton died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at First Assembly of God in Dayton under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston. A gathering of Louise's family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 1st at the funeral home.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Joe David Graham Jr.; brother, Benton Alvin Roberts. She attended First Assembly of God in Dayton for many years. She loved reading her bible, crocheting, and being in the garden. She was the perfect example of Godliness and unconditional love.
Mrs. Graham is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Ann Hilburn and husband, Charlie; sons, Billy Graham and wife, Teresa, Joe Graham and wife, Delora; brothers, Leroy Roberts and wife, Sally, David Roberts and wife, Pat; grandchildren, Daleah Middleton, Valetia King, Melonie Lehmann and husband, Terry, Shelia Snow, Anna Townsend and husband, Bruce, Kim Maloney and husband, Doug, David Graham and wife, Marlayna; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Mooring
Ronald Ray Mooring died Saturday at his home in Liberty surrounded by friends and family. He was 66.
Mr. Mooring, born in Port Arthur in 1946, moved to Liberty at age 4. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1965 and then went on to Lee College, where he graduated in 1967.
After she stole his buckskin jacket and his heart, he married
Beverly Sommerfeld, the love of his life, in 1978. Together they raised three children and were married
34 years.
Mr. Mooring worked in numerous refineries in the Houston Ship Channel, including serving as a general foreman with Brown & Root and quality control with J.E. Merit.
After retirement in 2002, Mr. Mooring became involved in community work. He was a proud board member of the Liberty Lions Club and enjoyed volunteer activities such as setting out flags during holidays, raising money for scholarships and organizing projects to help the poor. He was named Lion of the Year in 2012.
Mr. Mooring, an avid gardener, was heavily involved in the Liberty Community Garden and was president-elect for the coming year. He also supported local Boy Scout troops by hosting camp outs on his property. Whether mowing yards or taking out trash, Mr. Mooring enjoyed helping his neighbors and was affectionately known as the “Neighborhood Watch.” It wasn’t unusual to see him patrolling Abel Road on his John Deere tractor.
He loved deer and dove hunting in Rio Medina, listening to ghost stories and spending time outdoors. He was a voracious reader, enjoying everything from westerns to American history. His inquisitive nature drew him to locations in the national spotlight where he could witness history as it unfolded.
Already a life-long blood donor, Mr. Mooring chose to donate his organs after his death – a gift that saved 30 lives.
Mr. Mooring was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Mooring; daughter, Susan Schrock and husband Seth; son, Charles Mooring and wife Melissa; son, Stephen Mooring and wife Taylor; and grandchildren, Owen, Ayden, Jillian and Carson.

Guidry
Nannie Lou Guidry age 88 died in New Iberia, Louisiana, Sunday, December 30, 2012.
Nannie was born in Batson, Texas, September 28, 1924 the daughter of the late James Henry Johnson and Georgia Zeanetta Hobbs Johnson.
Nannie was preceded in death by her husband John Allen Guidry, as well as her sisters Polly Gray, Hazel Carson, and Johnnie Lea Hart.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Charles Asa Jones of Freeport, Texas and Harold Delvin Jones of New Iberia, LA, and a sister Bessie Calhoun of Lufkin. In addition she leaves four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2PM Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Guedry cemetery, Batson Texas. Friends and family will gather at 1PM Wednesday at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas.
Millican
Frank J. Millican, 84, of Cleveland, died Friday, December 28, 2012, at the ICON Hospital in Humble.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Mt. Zion cemetery in Apple Springs.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Frank was born September 28, 1928 in Wakefield, to parents; James S. and Clora Lovette Millican, and has resided in the Cleveland/Splendora area throughout his life. He was a retired carpenter, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. Mr. Millican was preceded in death by his father: James Solaman Millican, mother: Clora Lovette Millican, wife: Sarah Millican, and grandson: Terry Millican, Jr. He is survived by his sons: Gary Millican and wife Diana of Cleveland, Terry Millican and wife Shelia of Cleveland, and Jerry Millican of Cleveland, daughter: Vickie Trawick of Cleveland, stepchildren: Clyde Graves and wife Donna, Henry Smith and wife Kim, Elyndia Smith, Patricia Erwin and husband Chris, and Samuel Smith, sisters: Katie Cutler and Jennie Mae, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
McShan
Lois E. Gassett McShan, 97, of Deer Park, died Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the White Oak cemetery in Porter.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Lois was born February 3, 1915 in Porter, to parents; Walter and Ethel McCluskey Gassett, a former resident of Romayor, and has resided in the Deer Park area for the past 22 years.
She was a graduate of the Humble High School, a homemaker, a former church librarian, and member of the First Baptist Church of Deer Park. She also enjoyed mission and youth camp activities, gardening, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and especially being a grandmother. Mrs. McShan was preceded in death by her husband: Hershell E. McShan, parents: Walter and Ethel McCluskey Gassett, son: Doyle Allen McShan, grandson: Cory McShan, and all of her siblings.
She is survived by her son: Hugh McShan and wife Patricia of Baytown, daughter: Arlene Raye Murray and husband Dr. Dan Murray of Stephenville, six grandchildren: Tracy Woodley, Christopher McShan and wife Crystal, Brete McShan and wife Peggy, Tanya Phillips and husband Daniel, Shelly Childers and husband Charles, and Lynette Luckenbaugh, as well as twenty great-grandchildren, forty-one great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
McGinty
Cathy Ann McGinty, 54, died on Thursday, December 27, 2012, in Round Rock, Texas.
Cathy was born on May 20, 1958, in Dayton, Texas. She was the daughter of Wilda Meacham and Drue McGinty. She graduated from Dayton High School in 1976, and attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University.) Cathy worked for the Manufactured Housing Division of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs in Austin, Texas.
Cathy is preceded in death by her father, Drue McGinty; her uncle, Mel Meacham; and her grandparents: Wilda and A. E. ‘Red’ Meacham, and Bertha and Joseph Drue McGinty.
She is survived by her mother, Wilda Meacham, of Burnet; her sister, Tanya Fraden, of Kerrville; her brother, Jim McGinty, and his wife, Kerri McGinty, of Waller; her nephews, Noah Teutsch, James Drue McGinty, and Max McGinty; and her niece, Erica Fraden; as well as her aunts and uncles: Tish and E. R. ‘Sonny’ Richter, Ouida and Joe Hopkins, Shirley and Charles Haidusek, Paula and Jorge Olguin, and Ella Rose Crisp; and numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 2, 2012, at 1:00 P.M., at Beck’s Funeral Home, 15709 Ranch Road 620, Round Rock, Texas, 512-244-3772. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Malak
Lee Louis Malak, 83 of Dayton passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Clear Lake Regional Heart Tower. He was a loving uncle, brother and friend.
Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Palms Memorial Park under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. A gathering of Lee's family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 29th at the funeral home.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. He loved going fishing and hunting. He retired from the Coastal Water Authority.
Lee is survived by his sister, Leona Brown; brother, William Malak; and a host of other family and friends.
Walters
Betty Lou Walters 70, died December 28, 2012 at her residents in Kountze, Texas.
Born June 29, 1942 in Baytown, Texas to parents of John Doyle Kervin and Bertha Mae Harrell. She was retired school teacher from East Texas Christian School in Lumberton. And was also a member of Church on the Rock of Sour Lake where she was a faithful christian.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Alvin Walters, Sr.
She is survived by her Sons; Kennith Walters and wife Kelly of Silsbee, TX., and Burl David Walters and wife Chelsey of Vidor, TX., Daughters; Lettie Martin and husband Kenneth of Kountze, TX., and Bobbe Jean Wright and husband Randall of Kountze, TX., Brother; Marvin "Bubba" Kervin of Dayton, TX., Sisters; Mabel Williams of Dayton, TX., Johnnie Wiegman of Dayton, TX., Jo Sanders of Baytown, TX., and Sandra Berry of Dayton, TX.

Karen Marie Guynes Johnson, 60, of Channelview died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at home in Channelview.
She was born October 20, 1952 in Dayton, Texas to parents James Ralph and Katherine Wilkerson Guynes. She attended school in Lake Charles, Louisiana and had lived in Highlands before moving to Channelview 10 years ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church and loved being with her grandchildren and her pets.
Service for Mrs. Johnson will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 33 years: Albert Lee Johnson of Channelview; her daughters: Katherine Rumley, Jackie Johnson, Alicia Johnson, Andera Deason, and Lesa Calton; her sons: Chris Johnson and Beau Johnson; brothers: Merrill R. Bell
Dorothy Marie Bell was born on March 29, 1931, to Henry and Edna Mohan in Ames, Texas Dorothy began her education at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic School.
Dorothy graduated from from Holy Rosary in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduation, she married
the love of her life, Joseph Bell, Sr.
Dorothy passed on Dec 25, 2012 in Humble Texas.
Dorothy was a faithful member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Houston, Texas for over forty years, where she served as Lecture, member of the Altar Society, and church Bazaar committee.
Dorothy's children have conveyed that they loved their mom and will miss her strength, courage and wisdom.
We know that she's rejoicing in heaven.
We'll see her again! Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories; two brothers (William V. and John Kelly Mohan); five children (Charles Bell preceded her in death), Joseph (Vangie) Houston Texas, Deborah Catley (Lenn) Austin Texas, Kenneth Bell, Houston TX, Sharon Simmons, Houston Texas, and Gerald Bell, Houston Texas, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Trevathan
Barbara Fay Ford Trevathan, 75, of Dayton died December 26, 2012 in Liberty.
She was born February 4, 1937 in Dayton to parents Dudley Maurice and Pearl Remkes Ford. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Dayton and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Liberty until eighth grade then attended and graduated from Dayton High School in 1955. She worked for the City of Dayton for numerous years then for Dr. David Arnold until her retirement.
Service for Mrs. Trevathan will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Stouffer officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park cemetery. Visitation will be 12 until 2 before the service on Saturday.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and husband Doyle Trevathan.
