Tinsley

John Wayne Tinsley, 68, of Baytown, died on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown with his family by his side.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Sterling Funeral home in Dayton at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 8, 2012. Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. A gathering of John's family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Tinsley. He was a manager for West Texas Drum Company for 10 years. He loved watching Western Movies and being with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jimmye Bunch Tinsley of Baytown; mother, Clara Thomas Tinsley of Baytown; daughters, Susan Hemmenway of Baytown, Rhonda Byrd and husband, Jim of Kingwood, Alicia Tinsley of Dayton; son, Michael Tinsley and wife, Christine of Dayton; grandchildren, Ashley Chute and husband, J.R., Stephen Hemmenway and wife, Leslie, Megan Kinney and husband, Casey, Michaela Tinsley, Michael H. Tinsley, Jackson Welder, Caitlyn Welder, Carys Welder; great-grandchildren, Cayman, Cayson, Clennon and Tenslie; special sister-in-law, Betty Gibson; nieces, Diane Barcheers and husband, Leland, Sandy Partain and husband, Jimmy, nephew, Wayne Gibson and wife, Pat.

Fregia

Celena Ann Fregia, 63, of Daisetta, died Tuesday June 5, 2012 at her residence.

She was born July 11, 1948 in Liberty and lived in Daisetta her entire life. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Lena Young and her sister Jerrie L. Chapman.

She is survived by her long time companion, Charles Fregia; husband, Travis Fregia; children, Sharlet Musselwhite and husband Jackie of Pitkin, LA, Stacey Ann Fregia of Daisetta; grandchildren, Justin and Nicholas Musselwhite of Pitkin, LA., brother, Carl E. Young Jr. and wife Crystal of Baytown; sisters, Alice F. Fregia of Hull, Ida L. Clear and husband Paul of Pitkin, LA, Zeda Rae Shackelford of Kountze; brother-in-law, Richard Fregia and wife Martha of Hull; sister-in-law, Celestine Fregia of Daisetta. Her family will receive friends at Faith and Family Funeral Chapel Thursday June 7, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A service of remembrance is scheduled for Friday June 8, 2012 at Faith and Family Funeral Service Chapel at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at Oak Dale cemetery in Daisetta.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Taylor, Donald Starke, Jr., John Addison, Bryan Fregia, Daniel Fregia and Mike Clow. Honorary pallbearers are Justin and Nicholas Musselwhite. Coe

Jenibel Coe, age 91, of Liberty, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2012, in Liberty, TX.

Jenibel was born on April 23, 1921 in Mertzon, TX, daughter of Verner Elster and Opal Elizabeth Stokes. She loved the Lord Jesus and served him for forty years through teaching Sunday school classes in Beaumont, Houston and Liberty. She enjoyed mentoring young women, gardening and spending much time with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Liberty.

Jenibel was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Bruce S. Coe, brother; Verner Elster Stokes Jr., and sister; Elaine Stokes Jones. She leaves behind her, son; Gregory D. Coe of Liberty, TX, daughters; Judi C. Hodges of Liberty, TX, Jan Graham and husband, Terry of Woodway, TX, sister, Lila Ruth Matthys of Austin, TX, grandchildren, Blake Graham, Allen C. Hodges, Crystal C. Flatt, Joshua D. Coe and 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family gratefully acknowledges the dedicated care Gregory provided to Mom over the past nine years.

Graveside services for Jenibel Coe will be Friday, June 8, 2012, at 2pm at the City cemetery in Liberty. Services have been entrusted to Allison Funeral Services, 1101 North Travis, Liberty, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Youth and Children’s Ministries or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Griffin

Danielle St. Laurent Griffin, 39, of Hull, TX died Sunday June 3, 2012 at her residence.

A native of Rochester, New York she had lived in Hull, for three years and was an homemaker. She is survived by her husband Jimmy Griffin of Hull, parents Maurice and Carol St. Laurent of Rochester, New York. Son Drew Burdette of Hull, sister Michelle Winkleblack of Simsbury, CT. grandmother Mary McCormick of Alexandria, Virginia. A celebration of life will be held Thursday June 7, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Nolan Pickett V.F.W. Post # 5621 of Liberty, Texas. Devore

Lillian Echo Roberts Devore, 90 of Anahuac died at her residence with her family by her side. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May19, 2012 at Our Lady of Light with Rev. Sebastian Myladiyil, SVD celebrant under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac. Rite of Committal will follow in Anahuac cemetery with Military Honors. A gathering of Echo's family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 18th at the funeral home with a rosary at 6:30 P.M.

Echo was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, George (Bud) Devore; parents, Howard and Florence Ring Roberts. Echo will be remembered for her love of reading and cooking. She was a member of Our Lady of Light Catholic Church in Anahuac. Echo was one of the first women to serve her country in the U.S. Marines. She was born in Independence, MI.

Echo is survived by her daughter, Sharon D. Majors of Anahuac; son, Gary M. Devore and his wife, LeeAnn of Spring; grandsons, Chris Majors, Lance Majors and Brant Bourquin; granddaughters, Leslie Foster and Bailey Devore. In addition she leaves behind her great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

Stein

Kristi Lynn Stein, 51, of Dayton passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her residence with her family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Funeral services will 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 21, 2012 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home with Reverend Matt Smith officiating in Dayton. Graveside services follow at 2:00 P.M. in Walker cemetery in Lufkin, TX. A gathering of Kristi's family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the funeral home.

Kristi was preceded in death by her father, Willie Lynn, brother, Terry Lynn, and daughter, Tina Stein Lambeth. She was a Lieutenant for The Texas Department of Corrections at the Hightower Unit.

Kristi is survived by her husband of 26 years, Allan Stein III; sons, Rocky Buras and wife, Liliana, Allan IV; mother, Ouida Lynn; brothers, Mark Lynn and wife, Beverly, Scott Lynn; grandchildren, Anthony and Kristina, David, Bryce and Mabry; and a host of other family and friends.

Duff

Douglas Ray Duff, 67, of Raywood, died Friday May 18, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

A service of remembrance will be held Monday May 21, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Faith & Family Funeral Services Chapel with Reverend Nolan Taylor officiating, interment will follow at Oakdale cemetery in Daisetta. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday May 20, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Faith & Family. Pallbearers are Devin Fontenot, Murphy Green Jr, Charles Luquette, Bud Sanders, Leo Watson, Murphy Green, Todd Robinson, Lloyd Fontenot. Honorary pallbearer is Bert Griffin.

Born in Devers, TX on December 12, 1944 he had lived in the Liberty County area for most of his life and was retired as a Truck Driver. He was preceded in death by his parents Archie Duff and Colleen Watson Duff, sisters Dorothy "Tookie" Downs and Kathy Rice. Survivors are his wife Ruth Ann Duff of Raywood, daughters Michele Fontenot and husband Lloyd of Raywood, Debbie Kornegay and husband Andy of Vidor, Andrea Coronis and husband Brick of Hull, Sandra McDaniels and husband Scott of Moss Hill, Step-daughters Billie Green and husband Murphy of Dayton, Becky Doss and husband Billy of Jewett. Brother Larry Duff and wife Wanda of Liberty, sisters Kim Tanner of Daisetta, Eileen Pucket and husband Howard of Angleton, Gwen Robinson of Dayton. Grandchildren; 19 and Great-grandchildren; 12. Best friend Charles Luquette and wife Wanda of Daisetta. and a host of friends & family nieces and nephews. Daughter Vicki Hardin of Florida.

Shrader

Mary Ann Bryant Shrader, 76, of Shepherd, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Woodland Park Care and Rehabilitation Center in Shepherd.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Farley Chapel cemetery in Shepherd. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Mary was born February 1, 1936 in Houston, to parents; William E. and Nina M. Fitt Bryant, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Shepherd for the past 35 years. She was a graduate of the Cypress-Fairbanks High School class of 1954, a former owner/operator of Lakeway Grocery Store, and enjoyed softball, volleyball, and mowing in her younger years.

Mrs. Shrader was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Leon Shrader, and sisters: Betty Lou Baugus and Maxine Jordan. She is survived by her daughter: Debbie Swiech and husband Doug of Shepherd, sons: Greg Shrader and wife Sheila of Shepherd and Bobby Shrader and wife Cindy of Goodrich, sister: Janice Daigle of Shepherd, grandchildren: Dustin and David Swiech, Ryan and Kaitlyn Shrader, great-grandchildren: Lanee Swiech and Rylei Brewer, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Moore

Gertie Beatrice Moore, 67, of Hankamer passed May 11, 2012.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 9AM until funeral 11AM at Lilly of The Valley COGIC 1222 Main St. Anahuac, Rev. L. Walter Pastor. Interment will be in Whittington cemetery, Hankamer.

Mourning her departure, yet cherishing her memories are Son: Keith Moore of Anahuac, Gerald Moore (Sherry) of Channelview, Daughter: Kay Moore (David) of Anahuac, Brenda Herman (Percy) of Devers. Sister: Mary L. Moore of Hankamer. Six (6) Grandchildren, Four (4) Great Grandchildren and a host other relatives and friends.

Allen

Linda Belle Allen, age 65, of Liberty died in Liberty on May 13, 2012.

Linda was born on February 9, 1947 in Blue Grass, West Virginia, daughter of Curtis and Sadie Mick. Linda worked for Liberty County and retired after 28 years of faithful service. Linda will be missed by all.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Curtis William Mick Jr., sisters; Shirley Roto and Sylvia Chappel. Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons; Ronald Edward Allen, Don Edward Allen Jr., Johnny William Allen, Brian Keith Allen and wife Paula, Terry Leon Adkins and wife Shelly, Jonathon Edward Allen, daughter; Patty Lynn Allen, sister; Virginia Mick of West Virginia, brothers; John David Mick and wife Suzy of Liberty and June William Mick of West Virginia, six grandchildren, Brian Keith Allen Jr., Brody Kyle Allen, Terry Adkins, Alyssa Kay Adkins, Kylee Melinda Adkins and Julian Allen.

A memorial service is set for Linda Belle Allen for Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 7pm at Allison Funeral Service.

Graham

Chet Arnold Graham, 55, of Dayton died Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

He was a machinist.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lusher B. and Eula Lea Graham; wife, Shirley Graham and brother, Ralph H. Graham. He is survived by his brother, L.B. Graham, Jr.; step-children, Charles W. Nelson, Sr. and Kathy A. Auman; nephews, Jeffrey S. Graham and Christopher B. Graham; Niece, Monica Graham Young; grandchildren, Dawn Nelson, Charles W. Nelson, Jr. and Victoria Hassler.

Local arrangements were handled by Sterling Funeral Home – Dayton, Texas.

McManus

Charles Sidney McManus was born to Nellie Heisig McManus and V.R. “Jack” McManus on May 2, 1924.

He was a life-long resident of Liberty County and graduated from Liberty High School. Following graduation, Charlie, along with many of his classmates, immediately entered into military service. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kendrick until the end of World War II. After the war he returned to Liberty and married Dahlia Cook on June 1, 1947. He was a cattleman and was employed by Gulf States Utilities, where he attained the position of district manager before retiring after 40 years of service.

Charlie loved to be with people and was always helping his friends and neighbors. He was very active in his church where he served as deacon in the First Baptist Church of Liberty and the First Baptist Church of Daisetta. He went on many mission trips and was always willing to serve wherever he could. He served on the “Kitchen Krew” for 14 years. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid outdoorsman who loved gardening, fishing and hunting. He was also a past master of the Liberty Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Dahlia, of nearly 65 years; his son Dudley McManus and wife Amey of Kingwood, daughters Marian Basham and husband William “Spud” of Kingwood, Liz Berry and husband Roger of Austin and Leslie Herndon and husband Mark of Liberty. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and spouses; Ryan McManus and wife Jennifer of Chicago, Zachary Basham and wife Tamara of Houston, Evan Basham and wife Katria of Kingwood, Cara McManus of Glasgow, Scotland, Allison Basham of Washington D.C, Leslie Berry of Washington D.C., David Berry of New York City, Haley Berry of Austin, Austin Basham of Kingwood, Jonathan Basham of Kingwood, John Mark Herndon and Laura Beth Herndon of Liberty. He had two great-grandchildren Piper and Langston Basham of Houston.

The family would like to thank attentive friends and loyal caregivers that assisted Charlie in these last debilitating years; especially, Darrell Jackson.

Pallbearers are his grandsons: Ryan McManus, Zachary Basham, Evan Basham, David Berry, Austin Basham, Jonathan Basham, and John Mark Herndon.

Honorary Pallbearers are the deacon body of the First Baptist Church of Liberty.

Memorial gifts can be made to National Parkinson Foundation or to the First Baptist Church, Liberty: Dollars for Missions fund.

Services for Charles Sidney McManus will be Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 2pm at the 1st Baptist Church in Liberty. Graveside services will be at 3:45pm at Cooke cemetery under the direction of Allison Funeral Services.

Kirkland

Raymond Michael Kirkland, 60, of Dayton, TX died on May 13, 2012 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver, Co with his loving family by his side.

Mike was born on August 2, 1951 in Pasadena, TX, son of John and Christine Kirkland. Mike attended Galena Park High School and graduated in 1969. He worked for Exxon Mobile for 32 years before retiring. He lived in Baytown, TX for 34 years and was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church. He moved to Dayton, TX in August 2012. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He touched many lives with his love for Christ, his selfless acts and his warm and humorous personality. He loved fishing, collecting guns and spending time with his family.

Mike was preceded in death by his Father, John Beverly Kirkland and Father-in-law, Lindell Earl Neece.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Theresa Ann Kirkland; Mother, Lola Christine Kirkland of Baytown, TX; Mother-in-law, Jimmie Marie Neece of Centerville, TX; Brother, John Talmadge Kirkland of Pangburn, AR; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Linda and Al Singleton of Centerville, TX; Son and Daughter-in-law, Chris and Stephanie Kirkland of Crosby, TX; Daughter and Son-in-law, Charlene and David Crawford of Dayton, TX; Grandchildren, Matthew King, Brooke Cornwell, Trenton Kirkland, Lexi Trousdale, Courtland Crawford, Abby Trousdale, Drake Kirkland and Trevor Crawford; Great Grandchildren, Tyler King and Ryland King, along with several nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. at Cedar Bayou Baptist Church 3116 N. Alexander Dr., Baytown, TX 77520. Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10 A.M. Following the service, interment will be in San Jacinto Memorial Park, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, TX 77015

Clifford Wayne Breaux, 53, of Anahuac died May 12, 2012.

A gathering of Family and Friends will be May 15, 2012, from 6-8PM at Proctor’s Mortuary 518 Miller St. Anahuac, Texas. Graveside service will be 11AM, May 16, 2012 at Corinth cemetery in Kennard, Texas.

Mourning his departure, yet cherishing his memories are Children: Jason Paul Breaux, Kevin Wayne Breaux, Troy Daniel Breaux Clayton and Terrah Vanette Breaux, Sister: Donna Gunn, Diana Breaux and Lana Speyer, Grandson: Caden Breaux, Special Friend: Dana Simmons and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
