Services for Louise Yargo Green, 68, of Buffalo, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Buffalo with Craig Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Wealthy Cemetery.
Mrs. Green died Saturday at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.

Judy Carolyn Teague

Services for Judy Carolyn Teague, 52, of Spring, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Muse Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Teague died Monday at her home in Spring.
She was born Oct. 12, 1949 in Houston to Ira C. and Mary  Jones Clark.
Mrs. Teague was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Johnny Willis III, in June.
Mrs. Teague is survived by her husband, Richard A. Teague of Spring; sisters, Bonita Randall of Spring, Veda Reid of Palestine and Marla Hunyadi of Linvingston; brother, Don C. Clark of Houston; and one grandson.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Belbert “Jack” Johnson

Services for Belbert “Jack” Johnson, 85, of Fort Worth, and formerly of Centerville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Sweet Hope Baptist Church in Centerville. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Centerville under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home, Teague.
Mr.  Johnson died Friday at Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest in Fort Worth.
He was born May 29, 1917 in Leon County to Robert and Janie Johnson.
Mr.  Johnson attended school in Centerville. He was a member of New Sweet Hope Baptist Church in Fort Worth where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by son, Jerry Johnson; brothers, Bert, Travis, Hardin and Rudolph Johnson; sisters, Mary Kay Tryon, Maebell Gilmore, Peraline Lusk and Lula Mae Phillips.
Mr.  Johnson is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary M.  Johnson of Mexia; sons, Robert  Johnson of Fort Worth, Charles Ray Johnson, Herman Wayne Johnson, Joel  Johnson and Raymond Johnson, all of Teague; daughters, Delma Jean Williams, Maxine  Johnson and Mae Ruth Thomas, all of Mexia, and Jeanette Johnson, Eva Joyce Harbert and Minnie Pearl Black, all of Fort Worth; 27 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
A wake will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Johnnie F. Gail

Services for Johnnie F. Gail, 73, of Palestine, were held at 10 a.m. today in the Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery.
Mr. Gail died Saturday afternoon at the Dallas VA Medical Center in Dallas.
He was born March 21, 1929, to George Gail and Lillie Starling Gail.
Mr. Gail was a Baptist. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3907 and a member of the American Lion No. 85 where he had served as the 7th District commander for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Chris Gail of Palestine; daughter, Donna  Woods of Austin; son, John Gail Jr. of Slocum; sisters, Ola Mae Wilson of Crockett, Christine Gail of Nacogdoches, Georgia  Taylor of Madisonville and Mamie Goshorn of Elkhart; brothers, Marvin Gail of Grapeland, Tony Gail of Crockett and Adolph Gail of Alta Loma.
Pallbearers were Danny Rampy, Chad Rampy, Dan Dudik, Bubba Wilson, Roy Leist and Colby McGillay.
Honorary pallbearers were Red Song Bird, Tom Crawford, M.P. Morton and Melvin Ingram.

Dixie June Watts Shugart

Services for Dixie June Watts Shugart, 78, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Grissom officiating. Burial will be at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
Mrs. Shugart died Saturday morning at her residence.
She was born April 25, 1924, in Anderson County to Amos F. Watts and Emily Butler Watts.
Mrs. Shugart was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Altrusa Club. She served on the board of directors for the American Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, Museum for East  Texas Culture and Harvey Woman’s Club.
She worked 52 1/2 years as comptroller for Vernon Calhoun Packing Company.
Mrs. Shugart was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Shugart, in 1997; and brothers, Wade Watts and Butler Watts.
She is survived by daughters, Judy Williams and Dawn Elrod, both of Houston, Gloria Hollingsworth and Kellie Snyder, both of Palestine; son, Clay Shugart of Palestine; brother, George Watts of Ruidoso, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Watts, Bill Watts, Randy Watts, Cliff Johnson, Gary  Johnson and Bill Knowles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Calhoun, Mike Rhodes and John Solona.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of Grace United Methodist Church.

Bob Farley
Services for Bob Farley, 70, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Norwood Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. William Snidow officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.
Mr. Farley died Friday at Dogwood Trails Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 7, 1931 in Dallas to Virgil Floyd and Sally Mae Stapp Farley.
Mr. Farley had lived in Palestine for 33 years after moving from McKinley. He was a retired employee of the  Texas Department of Criminal Justice and had worked for many years at Vernon Calhoun Packing Company.
Mr. Farley was a member of Norwood Heights Baptist Church. He was a Shriner and a U.S. Army reservist.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Farley of Palestine; sons, Bobby Farley of Belieze and Darren Farley of Palestine; daughter, Sharon Main of Palestine; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Wilson, J.R. Murray, Herman Morton, Otis Moore, Wayne Morris and Robert Stuteville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

Velma Louise Rainwater

Services for Velma Louise Rainwater, 83, of Wharton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Wharton with the Rev. Paul Thomasson officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.
Mrs. Rainwater graduated from Henderson High School in 1935. She married Howard Berry Rainwater in 1937.
She was employed as a receptionist at Rugeley-Blasingame Clinic for 22 years. She also helped her husband manage Duke & Ayers prior to retiring in 1980.
Mrs. Rainwater was a member of First United Methodist Church and served on the calling committee. After retirement she volunteered as a receptionist at Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was a direct descendant of Sam Houston.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, an infant sister, and a brother.
Mrs. Rainwater is survived by sons, Edwin Rainwater of Rockport and Tom Rainwater of Amarillo; sister, Kay Nash of East Bernard; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Rainwater, Todd Rainwater, Keith Rainwater, Kenneth Rainwater, Randy Rainwater and David Rainwater.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 1717 Pioneer, Wharton,  Texas, 77488; National Kidney Foundation, 2400 Augusta Drive, Suite 252, Houston,  Texas, 77057; American Diabetes Association, 2400 Augusta Drive, Suite 420, Houston,  Texas, 77057; or the American Heart Association, 2626 S. Loop West, Suite 510, Houston,  Texas, 77054.

Tommy Chapman
Funeral arrangements for Tommy Chapman, 62, of Grapeland, are pending at Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
Mr. Chapman died Friday at East  Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

Lena Bell Fitzgerald Evans
Services for Lena Bell Fitzgerald Evans, 90, of Palestine, will be at 4 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Craig Harris and Don Harris officiating. Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans died Friday night at her home. She was born Jan. 6, 1912 in Anderson County to James Theo Malone Sr. and Della Pierce Malone.
Mrs. Evans was a member of the Norwood Heights Baptist Church. She had been a sales clerk at McCrory’s for 15 years.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Fitzgerald, in 1964; her second husband, Hartley Evans, in 1992; brother, J.T. Malone, in 1990; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Roberson, in 1994.
She is survived by daughters, Florine Fitzgerald Gist of Asle, Laverne Fitzgerald Cockerham of Palestine; stepdaughter, Laverne Sharp of Craft; stepson, Albert Evans of Carlisle; sister, Willie Mae Harding of Palestine; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Conley, Patrick Conley, Jon Conley, Dewayne Totten, Cody Alford and Billy Spafford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Vicki Alford, Toni Roberson and Rhonda Spafford.

Johnnie F. Gail
Funeral arrangements for Johnnie F. Gail, 73, of Palestine, are pending at Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Gail died Saturday at the Veterans Administration hospital in Dallas.

Stella Jean Moorman
Services for Stella Jean Moorman, 72, of Buffalo, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Buffalo Funeral Home with Duane Moorman officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Cemetery.
Mrs. Moorman died Saturday in a Tyler hospital.
She was born Jan. 20, 1930 in Mississippi. She was a member of Church of Christ and a homemaker. She had lived in Buffalo for the past 23 years having moved to the area from Dallas.
Mrs. Moorman was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Russell “Bill” Moorman, in 1999.
She is survived by sons, Bobby James Moorman and William Eddie Moorman, both of Buffalo, Charles Wade Moorman of Mesquite and Thomas Earl Moorman of Liberty City; daughters, Linda Sue Walters of Teague, Wanda Gail Pearson of Waxahachie, Rebecca Jean “Becky” Stennett of Alba and Kitty Darlene Moore of Buffalo; four brothers; two sisters; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today with the family present beginning at 6 p.m.; and from 8 a.m. to time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Donald F. Brooks

Services for Donald F. Brooks, 74, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with full military honors. Dr. David L. Allen will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.
Mr. Brooks died Saturday near Cayuga.
He was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Gray, Okla. to James Franklin and Evelyn Seaton Brooks.
Mr. Brooks graduated high school in Missouri. He enlisted in the Air Force and served 20 years working with high altitude balloon research. He moved to Palestine in 1966 to work with the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) where he worked for 10 years.
He was a longtime active member of Westwood Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and trustee. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Anderson County Amateur Radio Club and Westside Volunteer Fire Department. He was a retired senior master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ginger Brooks of Palestine; son, James Steven Brooks of Pasadena,  Calif.; daughter, Debra Brooks Speer of Irving; sisters, Elaine Dake of Norman, Okla. and Shirley Vokes of  Oklahoma City, Okla.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Ben Starr, Dale Dishon, Jeff Montgomery, Dennis Moser, Richard DeFreece and Guinn Sammons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rod Ellenberg, the men of Westwood Baptist Church, NCAR retirees, Anderson County Amateur Radio Club, Westside Volunteer Fire Department, Carol McNeil, Mac  Johnson and Ray Lively.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Westwood Baptist Church.

Velma Minnie Hair

Services for Velma Minnie Hair, 87, of Buffalo, will not be held. She will be cremated and burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Buffalo.
Mrs. Hair died Friday at East  Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
She was born May 1, 1915 in Hitchcock, Okla. to Jacob Deitrich Thiessen and Wilimena Buller.
Mrs. Hair was a homemaker and an active member of the Lanely Ladies Activities Club. She was a Methodist.
She is survived by her husband, James “Big Mo” Hair of Dew; son, James Munroe Hair III of Cheyenne, Wyo.; daughter, Sondra Van Havryk of Irving; and three grandchildren.

James H. Dugger

Services for James H. Dugger, 72, of Palestine, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Park with Dan Manuel officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Dugger died Sunday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 1, 1930 in Dallas to Julius H. Dugger and Ruby Stadden Dugger.
Mr. Dugger was a member of First United Methodist Church, Houston Masonic Lodge No. 1189 and the American Legion. He was a staff sergeant in the Marines and served during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Betty Grisson.
Mr. Dugger is survived by his wife, Gloria Lee Dugger; daughter, Debbie Ruth Cisneros of Palestine; son, Jim Dugger of Palestine; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jim Dugger, Steve Smith, Richard Phillips, Keith Wagnon and John Henry Smith.
