Roy Dale Alpers, 54, of Rye, died Tuesday November 23, 2010 in Old Snake River Settlement in Cleveland.

He was born in Kountze Texas to John Lamar Alpers and Ruby Lee Chambliss Alpers.

He was preceded in death by his father John Lamar Alpers, survivors are his mother Ruby Lee Alpers of Cleveland, son Brunce Alpers of Rye. Daughter Crystal Vaughn of Hardin, brothers Fred Alpers of Rye, James Alpers of Jackson Missouri, Brunce Alpers and wife Robin of Batson, John Alpers and wife Brenda of Saratoga. Sisters Judy Rucker of Shepherd, Freda Morris of Pasadena, Grandchildren Alexis, Brendan, and Samantha Vaughn.

A sevice of remembrance will be held Friday November 26, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. At Faith & Family Funeral Services 40847 Hwy 105 E with Reverend Joe Sanders officiating.

Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery also in Batson. The family will be receiving friends also on Friday November 26, 2010 from 9:00 A.M until time of service at Faith & Family.

Boles

J.C. Boles, age 74, of Cleveland, Texas, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010.

He was born June 8, 1936 in Cleveland, Texas to J.B. and Auda Boles. He is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Auda Boles; daughters, Verleen Bolton and Dee Anna Bolton; son, Tommy Boles; sister, Darlene Butler; grandchildren, Chris Boles, Justin Boles, Jeremy Boles, Alicia Moreno, Ashley Bolton, Kaylee Bolton; great-grandchildren, Tate Boles, Lindsey Boles, Logan Boles, and Travis Moreno; niece, Tracey Butler; and many other loving and caring family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 25, 2010, 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Rev. Melvin Holifield, Rev. Tom Bolton and Rev. Del Butler will preside over funeral services being held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 26, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment immediate following at Cleveland Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers include Christopher Boles, Jeff Butler, Casey Butler, Justin Boles, Greg Dillon, James Johnson, Ricky Gilmore, and Jeremy Boles. Honorary pallbearers include Del Butler and Tom Bolton.

Fregia

Joe C. Fregia, 81, of Liberty, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the Bible Way Pentecostal Church with burial following at the Wilderness cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Joe was born February 25, 1929 in Liberty, to parents; Oscar and Annie Green Fregia, and has resided in the Liberty area throughout his life. He was a retired mechanic, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on vehicles, church activities, and singing.

Mr. Fregia was preceded in death by his parents, wife: JoNeita Gilcrease Fregia, son: Richard Lee Fregia, daughter: Linda Mae Mericks, sister: Mildred Capps, and brother: Dennis Fregia. He is survived by his sons: Joseph Carl Fregia and wife Mary of Hull, Edward L. Fregia of Liberty, Don F. Fregia of Lufkin, Alvin L. Fregia and wife Ann of Liberty, and Oscar F. Fregia and wife Ferlie of Liberty, sister: Daisy Nugent of Liberty, 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Blair

Charlene Mary (George) Blair died November 22, 2010.

She was born on January 28, 1920, in Houston, Texas, to John Hennessey George and Vernie Blanch Poole George. She grew up in Houston, Texas, and graduated from John H. Reagan High School in 1937. She married B.C. Blair on May 19, 1939, in Houston, Texas. In 1948, she and her husband moved to Liberty, Texas, where he opened the District Office for Schlumberger Well Surveying Services.

She was very active in her community and was Past President of the Parent Teachers Association, Coterie Club, Junior Trivium Club, and Liberty Garden Club. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Liberty, where she was Past President of the Ruth Sunday School Class, and for fifteen years, served as Chairman of Wednesday Night Supper. She was known for her wonderful cakes, which she loved to bake for her friends’ birthdays.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, B. C. Blair. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Blair Hart, and son-in-law, David, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; son, Rusty Blair, and daughter-in-law, Tawana, of Frankston, Texas; grandsons, Scott Hart, and wife, Kassandra, of Sachse, Texas, and Brit Blair, and wife, Alicia of Spring Branch, Texas; granddaughter, Brooke Blair Blake and husband, James, of Friendswood, Texas, great granddaughter, Avery Blair of Spring Branch, Texas; and great grandsons, Colin Hart of Sachse, Texas, and Braden Blair of Spring Branch, Texas.

Her family will receive friends at Allison Funeral Chapel on Friday November 26 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday November 27, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Liberty located at 602 Main Street, Liberty, TX, officiated by Ron Davis. Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Forest Park Lawndale cemetery in Houston.

Arrangements are under the direction of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis, Liberty, TX, 77575.

Cochran

Debra Lee Cochran, 55, of Dayton, died on Monday, November 22, 2010.

She was a member of the Catholic Faith.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Ann Foster.

She is survived by her son, James Ray Cochran and wife Mary; mother, Helen Hakes; grandchildren, Brianna Cochran, Brittany Cochran, Brooke Cochran; brothers, Mike Boudreaux and wife Melissa, Harlo “Boo” Hakes and wife Tonya; sister, Bonnie Walton and husband Carl.

Arrangements are under the direction of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis, Liberty, TX 77575.

Holder

Coby Ray Holder, 20, of Liberty, died on Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Liberty. He was a loving son, grandson, brother and friend.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton with Reverend Lynn Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in Guedry cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the funeral home.

Coby was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lester Ray Holder; great grandmother, Roberta Hawkes; and uncle Harold Ray Bobo. Coby loved football, fishing and hunting, the Pittsburgh Steelers, all kinds of music but most of all he loved to aggravate his little sister, Courtney.

Coby is survived by his mother, Vickie Logan and husband Jamie; father, Lloyd Holder and wife Windy; sister, Courtney Holder; brothers, Brenden and Landon Holder; stepbrothers, Dakota, Colton and Blaze Logan, Chris and Greg Beasley; grandmothers, Betty Guillory and Diane Russell; grandfather, Danny Lee; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends; and special pet Rocko.

Sager

Albert Edward Sager Jr., 92, of Huffman, died on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 in Huffman cemetery in Huffman under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Military honors will be given.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Margarette Edeania Sager; and brother, Vincent James Sager. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Humble.

Albert is survived by his daughter, Margaret Sager of Huffman; niece, Karen Hull and husband Roland; great nephew, Ralph Priestley and wife Lora; great-great nephews, Jacob and Jeremy Priestley and a host of other family and friends.

Ferguson

Cody Mitchell Ferguson, 19, of Saratoga, died Sunday November 21, 2010. A native of Pineville Louisiana he was a student at Blynn College in College Station.

He had lived in Saratoga for about four years. He is preceded in death by his father Clyde Ferguson.

Cody is survived by his mother; Patricia Ferguson of Saratoga, TX., Brothers; Brandon Thompson of Pearland, TX., Gaylon Ferguson of Batson, TX., and Tim Ferguson of Baytown, TX., Grandmother; Barbara Mitchell of Saratoga, TX., Nephew; Colby Thompson of Pearland, TX., and Nieces; Sara Ferguson of Batson, TX., Christi Morrow of Lake Jackson., and Nikki Ferguson of Lake Jackson.

The family will recieve friends on Tuesday November 23, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Faith & Family Funeral Services.

A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday November 24, 2010 at 11:00A.M.at Faith & Family Funeral services 40847 Hwy 105 E. Interment will follow at Oilfield cemetery in Saratoga.

Arrangements are under the direction of Faith & Family Funeral Services of Batson, TX.

Gros

Mary Ann Gros, 67, of Silsbee, died Wednesday November 17, 2010 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas.

Mary was Born in Grapeland Texas on August 31, 1943 to Ira Clowers and Irene Price Clowers.

She was an Homemaker and had lived in Silsbee for about two years.

She is survived by he sons Wayne Chessher of Silsbee, Danny Chessher of Houston, Earl Chessher of Colmesneil. Daughter Nichole Lebans and husband Eric of Houma LA, brother Rudy Clowers and wife Barbara Nell of Warren, sisters Katherine Redmon of Warren, Patricia Haynes and husband Charles of Jasper, and Bettye Thibodeaux and husband Thomas of Baton Rouge and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cremation handled under the care of Faith & Family Funeral Services of Batson, TX.

Cantin

Patsy Cantin, 81, of Liberty, died on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Magnolia Place Health Care in Liberty. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother.

Graveside services will at 2:00 pm on Saturday at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. For those desiring to sign Mrs. Patsy's guestbook please feel free in coming by the funeral home between 4:00 and 6:00 PM Friday.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Paul “Red” Cantin; parents, Ann Bonham and Aubrey Kelley; son, Glen Alan Griffin. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Liberty for many years. Patsy was best known for her time spent working at Frank’s in Dayton.

Mrs. Cantin is survived by her son, Robert W. “Bobby” Griffin and his wife, Cheryl of Moss Hill; grandsons, Jimmy Wayne Griffin and his wife Danielle of Moss Hill; great grandsons, Troy, Drew and Chad; grandsons, Jefferey Alan Griffin of Ft. Worth, Blake Aaron Griffin of Gainesville, FL; step-grandsons, Kim Ray Cox of Moss Hill and Cory James Cox of Baytown; Son, Jimmy “Bimbo” Griffin and his wife Sherry of Richland, WA.; granddaughter, Hannah Marie Griffin of Richland, WA.; and grandson, Triston; Daughter, Laura Pickett and her husband, Carl of Liberty; grandson, Logan Pickett of Liberty; granddaughters, Lyndsay Burgoyne and her husband, Drew of Houston and Cory Pickett of San Diego, Ca.; great granddaughter, Carly Frances Burgoyne of Houston.

Patsy was raised by her maternal grandparents surrounded by many aunts, uncles and cousins. As a young adolescent she traveled and lived with her father before settling in Liberty, Texas at age 16.

After high school graduation she married and raised 4 children in the Liberty and Dayton area. A wonderful role model to her children, she exposed them to life’s simple pleasures, the wonders of nature, the beauty of everyday living and her unwavering faith.

She brought forth the good in all she knew while unknowingly impressing upon others to do the same and will forever be remembered as a joy and inspiration to those lives she touched.

McCann

Jannel McCann, 66, of Willis, formerly of Liberty, died on Thursday November 18, 2010.

Jannel was many things to many people, Sister, Mom, Aunt, Granny, Best Friend, and the one you went to for everything from recipes, sewing tips, canning advice, and Jelly secrets. She was the one the grandchildren and great-grandchildren ran away to when the parents weren’t watching. She believed our children were born for her to spoil. She loved with her whole being and chastised sparingly. She was the keeper of the cookies and her home was always open. She was sweet, she was stubborn. She was loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Viola Baucum; brother, Cleburn Baucum.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly fifty years, Ervin T. McCann, children, Debra D. Frazier and husband Keith, Terry McCann and wife Jessica, grandchildren Keith A. Frazier II and wife Priseilla, Aaron J. Frazier and wife Tamara, Texas Elijah McCann, Landond Leigh McCann; great grandchildren, Alyssa Brooke Frazier, Abby Skye Frazier, Aaron J. Frazier II, Daniel J. Frazier, Emma Danyel Frazier; siblings, Violet Lawrence, Roy Baucum, Sharon Baucum, Vorice Baucum and wife Wonda, Frank Baucum and wife Brenda, Joyce Clark and husband Ron.

Her family will receive friends at Allison Funeral Home on Monday November 22, 2010 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. The funeral Service with be held at Allison Funeral Home on Monday November 22, 2010 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Hardin Chapel cemetery.

Serving as pall bearers will be Terry McCann, Aaron Frazier, Keith Frazier, Keith Frazier II, Jeremy Bishop and Joey Davis.

Arceneaux

Angel Josette Arceneaux, 12, of Channelview, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.

She was a loving daughter, sister, and granddaughter, cousin and friend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 Am on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at St Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Barrett Station. A gathering of family and friends will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 Am at the church. Rite of committal will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery in Raywood.

Angel was preceded in death by her grandfathers, William Fontenot and Archie Arceneaux Jr., Hubert Kerr Sr.; aunt, Jo Anne Arceneaux, and cousin, Anastasia Reece.

Angel is survived by her parents, Cindy Kerr and husband Chris, Joseph Arceneaux and wife Gloria; sister, Chelsee Arceneaux, brother, Chris Kerr Jr., sister, Kiersten Kerr; grandparents, Pearl Fontenot, Ocie Arceneaux, Ambres and husband Lloyd, Helen Kerr, Judy Ochoa and husband Benito; uncle Timmy Fontenot, uncle and aunt, Hubert and Tammy Kerr, uncle and aunt, Mike and Andera Randall; uncle and aunt Archie and Julia Arceneaux, Uncle and aunt, Leonard and Jackie Reese, aunt, Cherlyn Kimble Arceneaux; cousins, Gabriel and Autumn Kerr, Jason, Jeffrey, and Wesley, Archie Arceneaux IV, Micah Arceneaux, Alecia Kimble, and Taylor Reese; and a host of other family and friends.
