Theriot

Thomas Patrick “Tommy” Theriot, age 51, died at his home Sunday, December 7, 2008.

Tommy was born November 25, 1957 in Houston, Texas, the son of Leroy J. Theriot and Evelyn Helen Maloney Theriot. Tommy last worked as a machine operator for National Pipe and Tube.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lee, Mark and Johnny Theriot. He leaves behind his parents Leroy J. and Evelyn Helen Theriot. Brothers, Rusty Theriot and his wife Terry Lee, Terry Theriot and his wife Starla, Michael Theriot and his wife Caryl, and Paul Theriot. His sisters Angie Tanner and her husband David, Bonnie McKinney and her husband J.B., and Annette Simmons. In addition he leaves his godchildren, Jennifer McKinney Rash and Adrian Bowlen, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8pm at the Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St. Dayton, Texas with a Rosary service to be held at 7pm Tuesday. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow in St. Anne’s Catholic cemetery, Dayton.

Caldera

Manuel Harley-Ray Caldera, 24, of Dayton, Texas died December 4, 2008.

He was born on May 25, 1984 to Mario and Cindy Caldera in Houston, Texas. Manuel loved to go to the beach, four-wheeling, fishing, and always had a campfire going. He was a generous, humorous, passionate person that would help anyone and gave wholeheartedly.

Manuel is preceded in death by his cousins, Jesse Caldera, Jr. and Anna Marie Dehart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Caldera; son, Auston Ray Caldera; daughter, Leann Marie Caldera; parents, Mario and Cindy Caldera; sisters, Amanda Elizabeth Caldera, Latisha Anne Marie Caldera, and Sabrena Renee Caldera; grandmothers, Maria Caldera and Shirley Ann Morrison; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday December 10th from 12:00 until 2:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 1:30 PM at Allison Funeral Service. A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday December 10th at Allison Funeral Service with committal to follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N Travis, Liberty, Texas 77575. 936.336.6418.

Shellhammer

Dwayne Aron Shellhammer, 43, of Liberty, Texas died Tuesday, December 2, 2008.

He was born on January 15, 1965 in Port Arthur, Texas to Maynard Lynn Shellhammer and Winona Lynn Billiot. Dwayne was the most hard headed, stubborn, fearless, soft hearted, and most loving man all rolled into one. Being the oldest of 6 brothers and sisters and raised by a single mother, Lynn Billiot, Dwayne was his mother and siblings rock from the day he was born. He loved the outdoors more than anyone. Dwayne loved his grandbabies and family, and was always there to lend a helping hand. Dwayne was the heart of this family and will be dearly missed. He was all of our hero.

Dwayne is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmett Adam and Winona Elaine Billiot; sister, Deidra Lynn Shellhammer; and nephew, Daniel Claude Shawn, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Tammy Shellhammer; sons, Blaine Shellhammer and wife Jo-Lee of Liberty, Brandon Shellhammer and wife Tiffany of Fort Hood, and Jeremy Bishop of Liberty; daughter, Jessaca Bishop of Liberty; mother, Winona Lynn Billiot; sisters, D’Trese Hicks, D’Lynda Shawn, and Dustye Billiot; brother, Daniel Emmett Billiot and wife April; uncle, Sydney Michael Billiot; grandchildren, Aron Shellhammer, Layton Shellhammer, Mason Shellhammer, and Paige Shellhammer; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, December 8 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM with an evening service at 7:00 PM. A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 9 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with the committal service to follow in Greenlawn cemetery.

Lemelle

Bertha Mae Lemelle, 66, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, in Pearland, Texas.

She was born on September 19, 1942, in Moss Hill, Texas, to Nicholas and Hilda Albro. She was a long time resident of Ames, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joachim Lemelle, Sr.; brother, John Blaine Albro; and sister; Betty Durden.

She is survived by sons Joachim Lemelle, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Humble, and Dean Lemelle, and wife Sandra of Liberty; daughter, Daphne Lemelle of Pearland; sisters, Olivia Arceneaux of Raywood, and Vera Marshall of Buffalo, NY; brother, Nicholas Albro, Jr. of Houston; and grandchildren, Devon, Joachim III, Kendall and Robin Lemelle; and also numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services for Mrs. Lemelle will be Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Ames; visitation beginning at 9 am and mass to be held at 11 am. Interment will follow at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic cemetery.

Ross

Bobbie Lynne Ross, 58, of Hull, died Wednesday December 3, 2008 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.

Born in Liberty, she was a homemaker and lived in the area most of her life.

She is survived by her Husband; Ron Ross of Hull, Mother; Shirley Morris of Liberty, Sons; Brick Coronis and wife Andrea of Hull, Chris Coronis and wife Christien of Mulberry FL. Daughter; Kelley White and husband Corey of Hull. Brother; Bruce Gordon of Flagstaff AZ, Brett Gordon of Mulberry FL. Grandchildren; Carly and Cauge Coronis, Candace Poole, and Kelsey Stoddard.

Funeral service will be held Saturday December 6, 2008 at 2:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Hull with Reverend David Pursley and Cliff Gravitt officiating, Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson. Visitation will be held Friday December 5, 2008 beginning at 5:00 P.M. Until 9:00 P.M.at the church.

Coleman

Gloria Coleman died Monday, December 1, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas after an illness.

Funeral Service for Gloria Coleman, 89, of Dayton, Texas, will be held Saturday, December 6, 2008 at St. Miles Baptist Church, Ames, Texas at 11 A.M with Reverend Earl Hardy, officiating and the Reverend Doctor Michael Landry, eulogist, with burial in Wells Memorial cemetery under the direction of Wells Funeral Service, Liberty, Texas.

A native of Devers, Texas she was a domestic worker. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Raywood, Texas.

She died Monday, December 1, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas after an illness.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 9 A.M. until time of service.

She is survived by two daughters: Mary Lois Landry of Raywood, Texas and Dian L. Hardy of Spring, Texas; two brothers: George Childress of Raywood, Texas and Alvin Childress of Orange, Texas; one sister: Bertha Durio of Dayton, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.

Coleman

Vernice Fay Coleman, 66, of Dayton, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at her residence.

Born to Robert Coleman and Sarah Foster in Orange, Texas on November 22, 1942 she had lived in the Dayton area most of her life. She retired as a cook from Country Emporium of Liberty.

Survivors include, Sons: Paul McCraw and wife Jo of Lumberton, Tim Moody and wife Phyllis of Saratoga, Alvin Moody and wife Rocia of Houston, John Coleman and wife Kim of Dayton, Sam McCraw and wife Stacy of Grapeland. Daughter; Kathy Franks and husband Eddie of Monroe, LA. Brother; Bill Coleman of Lake Charles, Sisters; Grace Carol of Topsy La, Denise McGole of Leesville, LA, Shirley Bailey of Merryville, LA. Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; 10.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday December 6, 2008 at 10:00A.M. At New Life Assembly of God church in Batson with Reverend Lloyd Carroll officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson. Visitation will be held Friday December 5, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. at the church.

Lee

Jesse Frank Lee, Jr., 22, of Dayton, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, in Liberty.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2008, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Jess was born February 9, 1986 in Baytown, to parents; Jesse Frank Lee, Sr. and Denise Griffin Lee, and has resided in the Dayton area throughout his life. He was a student at Lee College in Baytown, attended the New Life Church, and enjoyed fishing, computers, music, and electronics.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his father: Jesse Frank Lee, Sr., and grandparents: Frank and Mary Land Lee. He is survived by his mother: Denise Griffin Lee of Dayton, brothers: Jason Walters of Houston and Corey Walters of Dayton, sisters: Stephanie Green of Atascocita and Becky Tanton of Dayton, grandparents: Donald and Mary Griffin of Segno, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Eubanks

Lela Mae “Ma Banks” Eubanks, age 90, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Trinity, Texas with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Saline Creek, LA. December 17, 1917 the daughter of the late Charlie Ansley Brantley and Hettie Frey Brantley. She was a graduate of Goldonna High School and attended North Western University. Ma Banks enjoyed sewing and cooking, and spending time with her beloved family.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ted T. Eubanks and a great grandson Samuel Stephens. She leaves behind her son Ted C. Eubanks and his wife Margie of Groveton, and a daughter Sharon Roberts and her husband Lee of Dayton. In addition she leaves behind her five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Friday December 5, 2008 at Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Dayton, Texas, with Rev. Jeff Day officiating, visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.

Barry

David John Barry, age 71, died Friday, November 28, 2008 in Baytown.

David was born July 24, 1937 in Pontiac, Michigan the son of the late William Thomas Barry and Aldis S. (Asmundson) Barry. David last worked and retired from American Bureau of Shipping as a Marine Surveyor. He spent the majority of his life in the service both in the Navy and the Coast Guard. David was proud of being part of the first crew aboard the aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Ranger. Davis was a life member of the NCO & Warrant Officers Association as well as a member of the Nolan D. Pickett Post 5621.

He leaves his beloved wife of forty-six years Catherine Ann Mohardt Barry of Liberty; sons, Patrick, Ian, and Daniel Barry, daughters, Aldis Schaeffer, Elaine Barry, Colleen Barry-Goodman, and Catherine Barry; sisters Margaret and Patricia Barry. His twelve grandchildren, Anna Van Skike, Peter Schaeffer, Kevin, Sarah Carson Barry, Christopher, Kenny, Mary Catherine, Sean, Trevor, Colin, Aidan and Catherine Barry.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8pm at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis, Liberty. Funeral Services to be held Wednesday 2 pm at the Allison Funeral Home.

Williams

James Edward ”Jamie” Williams, Jr., 31, of Moss Hill, died Friday November 28, 2008.

He was born May 11, 1977 in Silsbee TX and was a Driller for CC Forbes Company of Raywood. James was preceded in death by his son; Bryce Allen Williams.

Survivors are his beloved wife; Tiffany Williams of Moss Hill, Children; Tyler Austin Williams of Rye, Payton Shea Williams McClelland of TX, Kodie Madison Williams of Rye. Stepchildren; Cody Scott Makenzie Parrish of Moss Hill, Lance Brown of Moss Hill. Father; James Edward Williams Sr. and wife Susie of Saratoga, Mother; Gerry Nell Moss and husband Curtis of Kountze, Sisters; Jodie Rawson and husband Bobby of Saratoga, Stephanie Kirkland and husband Kevin of Votaw. Stepsisters; Shanna Zimmerman and husband Mark of Silsbee. Rachael Fregia and husband Gary of Saratoga, Susan Fregia and husband Scotty of Hardin, Jeana Renee Moss of Florida and a host of family and friends.

A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday December 2, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. At The Worship Center in Votaw with Reverend Phil Love officiating.

The family will be receiving friends today Monday December 1, 2008 beginning at 5:00 P.M. Also at the church. Interment will follow at Hooks cemetery in Kountze.

McCreight

Jess Willard McCreight, 81, died on November 26, 2008 at the Liberty Health Care in Liberty, TX.

Services will be held Monday, December 1 at 10 A.M. at the Allison Funeral Services, 1101 North Travis. There will be a gathering of family and friend on Sunday, November 30 from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jess was born in Daisetta, TX on December 21, 1926 to parents, Charlie Guy McCreight and Myrtle Beatrice Hickman McCreight. He graduated from Batson High School, worked in the oilfield for many years and was a member of the Baptist Church. He loved to cook for family and friends. He cooked on an offshore drilling rig for years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles McCreight, Alf Weldon McCreight, and Wayne McCreight and sister, Barbara Jean Jordan.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Ellen Deckert; brother, George Shane McCreight and many nephews and nieces.

Arrangements were under the direction of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 North Travis Street, Liberty, Texas 77575 936-336-6418.

Rawls

Bettie Sue Rawls, 64, of Dayton, TX died, Thursday, November 27, 2008 in Houston, after a valiant fight with cancer.

She was born November 1, 1944, in Fred, Texas to parents: Branson Dale and Addy Bell Cravy. She was a long time resident of Dayton, Texas. For many, Mrs. Rawls worked as a beautician.

Services for Mrs. Rawls will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, with interment following at Magnolia cemetery. Visitation is Saturday, November 29, from 5:00 until 9:00 pm.

Bettie is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Robert Donald Rawls; her daughter: Donna Jimenez; her sons: Thomas Rawls and Robert Rawls; her sister: Jo Ellen Currie; her brother: Dale Cravy; 6 grandchildren: Joanna Murphy, Crystina Nicholson, Tiffany Rawls, Hailee Rawls, Jas Jimenez, Kayla Rawls and Krysalynn Winters, also 5 nieces and nephews.
