Michael Ray Brown 44, of Hull died Saturday June 7, 2008 at his residence.

A native of Baytown he had lived in Hull for 20 years and was an ironworker with Altair Strickland.

He is survived by his mother; Susan Brown of Baytown, his life partner Greg Votaw of Hull, brothers: James Votaw of Old river, Curtis Brown of Old River, Steven of Baytown, Walter Brown of Louisiana.

Cremation service held under the direction of Faith & Family Funeral Services of Batson, TX.

Robbins

A Memorial Service for McRay Robbins, Jr., 33, of Liberty, Texas, will be held Monday, June 16, 2008, at 11 A. M. at Mount Rose Baptist Church, 801 Washington Street, Liberty, with the Reverend Michael Booze, Officiating, with burial in Wells Memorial cemetery, Liberty, Texas.

A native of Liberty, he was a member of Mt. Rose Baptist Church. He died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Aristoca Medical Center in Berea, Ohio. He is survived by two sisters: Alisia Robbins and Alisha Robbins both of Dayton, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.

Danberg

Robert Louis Danberg, 60, of Dayton, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at his home.

He was born December 9, 1947 in Reno, Nevada to parents: Angus Louis and Hazel Estelle Chumbley Danberg. He graduated from Galena Park High School and attended Houston Fire Academy. He had been a resident of Dayton for the past 6 years after moving from Houston where he was employed by the Houston Fire Department, Uvalde Station #53. Mr. Danberg enjoyed camping, gardening and raising race horses. Most of all, he loved being with his grandchildren. Services for Mr. Danberg will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2008 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Churchill County cemetery in Fallon, Nevada under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home. Visitation for Mr. Danberg will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday before the service at Pace-Stancil. Mr. Danberg was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his daughters: Lisa Werner and husband Jimmy of Dayton, Mary Pickel and husband Nathan of Tomball, Tammy Danberg-Farney and husband Jeff of Houston, and Judy Danberg of Houston; his grandchildren: Ryan, Travis, Kristin, and Kaylin Farney, Charci, Shelby, and Tyler Werner, Alyssa Ellison and Christian Pickel; other relatives and friends.

Boudreaux

Deena Jeanne Bell Boudreaux, 34, of Liberty died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at home after an extended illness. She was born November 7, 1973 in Liberty to parents: H. C. “Shorty” Lillie Mae Smith Bell. She was a lifelong resident of Liberty, graduating from Liberty High School in 1993, and attended Lee College. She had been affiliated with Maranatha Church in Liberty and North Main Baptist Church. Mrs. Boudreaux enjoyed music, movies, video games and computers. She most of all loved her family. Graveside service for Mrs. Boudreaux will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Palms Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Pace-Stancil. Pallbearers are Curtis Jordan, Bobby Broyles, Quentin Jones, Roosevelt Boudreaux, John Bell and Allan Bell. Honorary Pallbearers: Claude “Chuck” Middleton, James Thomas, Chris Howard, and Mark Howard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her biological father: Ricardo Badilla, sister: Gloria Howard, and brothers: Randy Bell and George Douglas Bell. She is survived by her husband of 11 years: Terrance Boudreaux of Liberty; her birth mother: Jaynie Bell Middleton and husband Claude of Baytown; her cousins: Jennifer Howard, Amie Bell, Rodney L. Bell, Ginger D. Bell, Cecilia Jordan, Brenda Broyles and Shawnda Bell; her special friends: Kamesha Freeman and Kathy Bray.

Tisdale

John David Tisdale, 49, of Liberty, Texas died Thursday, June 5, 2008. He was born on April 5, 1959 to John M. and Margaret A. Tisdale in Baytown, Texas. John worked at Transmission Exchange in Liberty for over 20 years. He was a fun, outgoing, loveable and caring man. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working.

John leaves behind his parents; loving wife, Patricia Tisdale; sons, David Ray Tisdale and Wade Mitchell Tisdale; daughters, Alicia M. Fowler and Angela D. Carrell; sisters, Kathy L. Johnson, Joyce A. Burnett, and Emma J. Beers; brother, James B. Tisdale; grandchildren, Jayce L. Tisdale, Brittany P. Wilkins, Chelsey C. Wilkins, Lance Self, Chance Coleson, Jorden M. Tisdale, Wade M. Tisdale Jr., Amber Krystin Greer, Tyler J. Ellsworth, and Toby K. Branum; and numerous more family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday, June 8 at Allison Funeral Service. A service of remembrance will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 9 at Allison Funeral Service with interment to follow in Memory Gardens cemetery in Baytown. Vann

Funeral Service for Reverend Jonnie Curtis Vann, 78, of LaPorte, Texas, will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 11 A. M. at Zion Hill Praise Center, 224 North 7th Street, LaPorte, with the Reverend Tyronne Jones, Pastor, Reverend Amos Jones, Eulogist, with burial in Wells Memorial cemetery, Liberty, Texas.

A native of Dayton, he was a minister of the gospel, veteran of the U. S. Army, and a graduate of Colbert High School.

He died Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Pasadena Care Center after an illness.

Visitation will be held from 9 A.M. until time of service. He is survived by his daughter, Debrah Watkins of LaPorte, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bell

George Douglas Bell, 66, of Hardin, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at home after an extended illness.

He was born in Wilmot, Arkansas to parents H. C. “Shorty” Bell and Lillie Mae Smith Bell. He was a graduate of Dayton High School and had lived in Hardin for the past 23 years where he was a long time employee of Liberty County Pct. 2 Maintenance Department. He enjoyed worm farming, tractors, building, welding and his animals. He most of all loved his family. Service for Mr. Bell will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton with Rev. Gideon Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Gloria Howard, and his brother: Randy Bell. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years: Loretta Murphy Bell of Hardin; his sons: George “Allan” Bell and wife Tyronda of Conroe and John Wesley Bell and wife April of Houston; his grandchildren: Ryan Nicholas Bell, Grant Jonathan Bell and Emma Brooklyn Bell; his sisters: Janie Middleton of Baytown, and Deena Boudreau of Liberty; Also numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Edwards

Funeral Service for Estella M. Edwards, 59, of Liberty, Texas, will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 10 A. M. with the Reverend Mike Glazener, Officiating, at Cornerstone Church in Liberty with burial in Lone Star cemetery, Moss Bluff, Texas under the directions of Wells Funeral Service.

A native of Liberty, she was a health care provider and business professional. A graduate of West Liberty High School, she received her business certification from Prairie View A. & M. University at Liberty. She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Liberty, Texas.

She died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Kindred Hospital Houston after an illness.

Visitation will be held from 9 A.M. until time of service.

She is survived by her mother: Eunice Lee Redmon, of Liberty, Texas,; four sons: Zachery Rollins of Dayton, Percy Arceneaux, of Alexandria, Louisiana; Trent Arceneaux of Baytown, and Terry Arceneaux of Houston.; one daughter: Dr. Cassandra Arceneaux of Webster, Texas; two sisters: Rose Mary Braxton and Carolyn Victorian, both of Liberty; one brother: Reverend O’Neal Edwards of Baytown, twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pipes

Bobby Raymond Pipes, 72, of Beaumont died, Wednesday, June 4, 2008 in Beaumont after an extended illness.

He was born January 19, 1936 in Redwater, Texas to parents: Melvin and Nelia Mae Clark Pipes. He had been a long time resident of Dayton, graduating from Dayton High School in 1954. He continued his education at Texas A&M where he was in the R.O.T.C. and from there he joined the Army Reserves. He move to the Beaumont area over 39 years ago where he went on to build a successful business in the insurance field until his retirement in 1998. Mr. Pipes enjoyed gardening and fishing. Services for Mr. Pipes will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton, Texas with Brother Bob Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the service. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: James and Curtis Pipes, and his sister: Helen Pipes. He is survived by his son: Thomas Pipes of California, Darryl Pipes and wife Karla of Beaumont; his daughters: Brenda Pipes of Lumberton and Sharlene Rhonda Pipes of Lumberton; grandchildren: Corbin Ward, Kelsey Fuller, René Pipes, Travis Pipes, and James Raymond Pipes; his brothers: Melton Pipes and wife Marlene of Huffman, Carl Pipes of Huffman, and his sister: Carolyn Collett of Huffman.

Teel

Hannah Faye (Hickman) Teel, 67, of Port Arthur, Texas died Sunday, June 1, 2008.

She was born on July 28, 1940 to Ed and Lena Hickman in Batson Prairie, Texas. Hannah will be remembered for her love of singing. She loved spending time with her family and friends but most of all playing with her great-grand-babies. Hannah retired from Hull Freshwater Supply as a manager after more than 20 years of service. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Hannah is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sonny Hickman; and granddaughter, Callie Rose Wallace.

She is survived by her daughter, Susie Tullis and husband Franklin of Groves; sister, Sissie Deckert of Hull; brother, Llyod Hickman and wife Norma Faye of Kilgore; sister, Nadine Cook of Batson Prairie; granddaughters, Noel Wallace and Lacy Wallace; great-grandchildren, Harley Rose and James Edward; and her beloved Chihuahua, Peabody.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 4 with a service of remembrance to be held at 2:00 PM at Allison Funeral Service; interment will follow in Guidry cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis Liberty, Texas 77575. 936.336.6418.

Cox

A Graveside Service for Gloria Lee Cox, 79, of Liberty, Texas, will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008, at 12 noon with the Reverend Richard A. Ayers Jr. officiating and interment in Wells Memorial cemetery, Liberty, Texas.

A native of Fort Worth, Texas, she was a retired educator with the Liberty Independent School District.

She died Monday, June 2, 2008 at her residence after an illness.

She is survived by her husband Professor Elihue L. Cox, of Liberty, one son: Charles Richardson, of Grand Prairie, Texas and one daughter: Syble Thomas of Stockton, California.

Robinson

Funeral Services for Lillie M. Robinson, 93, of Liberty, Texas, will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008, at 10 A.M. at St. Miles Missionary Baptist Church, Ames, Texas with the Reverend Dr. Ivory Varner, Eulogist and the Reverend Richard A. Ayer, Jr. officiating, with burial in Wells Memorial cemetery, Liberty.

A native of Tyler, Texas, she was a cosmetologist and a school bus driver for the Liberty Independent School District for several years. A member of the St. Miles Baptist Church and an officer of the Shiloh Baptist District Association of Texas.

She died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Liberty Health Care Center after an illness. Visitation will be held from 9 A. M. until time of service at the church. She is survived by the St. Miles Baptist Church Family.

Cervantes

Rafael Cervantes, 58, of Dayton, died Friday, May 30, 2008 in Houston, Texas after an extended illness.

He was born October 24, 1949 in Dolores Hidalgo Guanajuato Mexico to parents: Santiago Cervantes and Manuela Rivera.

He had been a long time resident of Dayton and had worked in the maintenance department for the Dayton, Huffman and Crosby schools. He enjoyed the outdoors, sports, and being with his family.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Cervantes will be 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church in Liberty with Father David Edwards officiating. The visitation will be Sunday 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Delores Hidalgo Pantion Municipal in Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his son Martin Cervantes. He is survived by his wife: Juana Cervantes of Dayton; his parents: Santiago and Manuela Cervantes of Mexico; his sons: Miguel Cervantes of Mexico, Rafael Cervantes, Jr. of Houston, J. Antonio Cervantes of Nebraska, Ramon Cervantes of Dayton, Ernesto Cervantes of Dayton, and Oscar Cervantes of Dayton; his daughters: Patricia Cervantes of Mexico, Norma Irais Cervantes of Mexico, and Ana Maribel Cervantes of Dayton; his brothers: Maximino Cervantes and Floselo Cervantes, both of Mexico.

Legg

H. Roger Legg Jr. and Kathy Lynn Legg died suddenly in a house fire Thursday, May 22, 2008. Roger was born September 5, 1951 in Bay City, TX to Henry Roger Legg Sr. and Lettie Legg. Kathy was born November 8, 1950 in Beckley, WV, to Mack and Rita Dial.

Roger worked as a Sheriffs Deputy for Harris County. Kathy retired from Forest Park Lawndale as an Administrative assistant.

His grandparents, parents, and one sister precede Roger in death.

Roger is survived by three stepsisters, Joann Crow, Valerie Ryman and husband Johnny, Sue Crow, and a host of friends.

Kathy is survived by her loving mother Rita Ulshaser and stepfather Frederick, half brother, Fredrick Ulshaser Jr. and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Friday, June 6, 2008 at Forest Park Lawndale funeral home. A celebration of life will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Forest Park Lawndale with Chaplin’s Lary Porter and Don Savell officiating. Interment s follow at Hawley cemetery in Blessing, TX.

Johnson

Gorman Dean Johnson “known as Dean” 63, of Hardin died Thursday May 29, 2008 in Hardin surrounded by his family.

A native of Springfield Missouri Dean had lived in the area most of his life and was a Pipe Fitter Forman with Brown-Root construction.

He is survived by his loving wife; Faye Johnson of Hardin, Son; Tim Johnson and wife Lori of Hardin, Brother; Noel D’Wayne Johnson of Pasadena TX, Sister; Glenda Marlene Vance of Hull. Grandchildren are; Ona Johnson, Shelbi Johnson, Megan Davis, Samantha Johnson, Emily Johnson.

A gathering at graveside will be held Saturday May 31, 2008 at 10:00A.M. At Moss Hill cemetery with Pastor Tony Hines of Hardin Baptist Church officiating.

Schultz

Malcolm Stephenson Schultz, age 91, an 8 year resident of Albuquerque, NM, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11:00 A.M., at the Hardin Chapel cemetery, Highway 834 West, Hardin, TX., with the Rev. Ron Davis officiating.

She was born in Liberty, TX., on May 27, 1917, to Alva Hugh Stephenson and Vera Eliza Smith Stephenson. She was salutatorian of the 1934 graduating class of Liberty High School. She then attended the Mary Hardin College for two years. She held secretarial positions with a law and real estate firm, a large retail store, and the Houston Retail Merchants Association before working for the Humble Oil Refinery in Baytown. She worked in the secretarial pool and eventually became the executive secretary to the Employee Relations Manager of the Humble Oil Refinery and retired after 27 years, in 1975.

In 1980 she and her husband, George Harold Schultz, moves to Fredericksburg, TX, where they lived for 20 years. In 2000 they moved to Albuquerque NM, to be with their daughter, Janice Marie Wilson, who survives her. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. W. T. (Carmon) Fountain of Waco, TX.

Chiles

Myrtle Inez McDaniel Chiles, 86, of Groveton, Texas died Friday, May 30, 2008 in Crockett, Texas. She was born February 8, 1922 in Buckholts, Texas to parent Oliver Sidney and Maude Myrtle Barnett McDaniel. She had been a long time resident of Dayton before moving to Groveton one year ago. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, enjoyed cooking, housekeeping and taking care of her family.

Services for Mrs. Chiles will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Cedar Crest cemetery, Baytown. Visitation will be 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chiles was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Ira Cedric Chiles; son: Jerral Chiles; sisters: Lois Hill and Leona McDaniel; brothers: Henry McDaniel, Roy McDaniel, and Marvin McDaniel. She is survived by: her daughter: Connie Sue Nivens and husband Gary of Fritch; son: Ricky Lee Chiles of Dayton; brothers: Garlon L. “Buddy” McDaniel of Baytown, Elton McDaniel of Baytown, and Everette McDaniel of Baytown; grandchildren: Brandy M. Hans, Lisa Bingham, Gary Lee Nivens, Jr., Elvis Jerral Chiles, Jr., David Chiles, and Curtis Chiles; six great-grandchildren also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
