Nona Coleman, 77, of Splendora, Texas, died Friday, February 15, 2008. She was born in Whiterock, Texas, on September 17, 1930 to William B. and Vernese Jackson, Sr.

Survivors include her loving husband, George Coleman; sons, Robert Monroe Coleman, William Wesley Coleman and wife, Debra; grandchildren, Jerrod, Matthew, and Georgie Coleman; brother, William Berry Jackson, Jr. with numerous other loving and caring family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Plum Grove Assembly of God Church, Plum Grove, Texas, with internment at Splendora City cemetery.

Duff

Jessie James Duff, 74, of Cleveland, Texas, died, Sunday, February 17, 2008, He was born in Livingston, Texas, on October 27, 1933 to Charlie and Ruthie Duff who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Eugene Duff and Maco Duff.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marsha Duff; daughters, Kimberly Bennett and husband, Mike and Melissa Wickham; sister, Dorothy Beasley; grandchildren, Heidi Duff, Kara Bennett, Sara Bennett, Katy Bennett, Carson Baird, Dalton Wickham, Jamie Bennett, Emma Bennett with numerous nieces, nephews, and many other cherished family members and caring friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas, with interment at Security cemetery, Security, Texas.

Goodson

Ora Mae Goodson age 91, of Spring, Texas, died Friday, February 15, 2008. She was born in Kemp, Texas on May 11, 1916 to Alonza Summerall and Mary Ethel Mullinn Summerall. She is preceded in death by husband, Lee Goodson; great- grandson, Gary Allen Everitt.

Survivors included her children, Shirley and Tom Everitt, Sandra and Mack Schramme, Lee and Beverly Goodson, Lonnie and Debbie Goodson; seven grandsons, four granddaughters, thirteen great- grandsons, eleven great- granddaughters, two great-great- grandsons, two great-great- granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008, Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas, with interment Mizell cemetery, Splendora, Texas

Brady

Funeral Service for Eric Dewayne Brady, 51, of Dayton, Texas, will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 12 Noon at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 2812 North Cleveland, Dayton, TX, with the Reverend E. Maxwell officiating, with burial in Magnolia Park cemetery.

A native of Houston, he was a fireman with the Houston Fire Department, veteran of the United States Army and the United States National Guard. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

He died Friday, February 15 at his residence after an illness.

A wake service will be held Friday, February 22, at the church from 6PM to 9PM.

He is survived by his wife: Marvella L. Payne-Brady of Dayton, Texas; his mother Mildred Brady Johnson of Houston, Texas; one son: Eric Brady, Jr. of Missouri City, Texas; five daughters: Clinessa Trahan of Houston, Texas, Ashley Brady, of Guanqzhou, China, Dominique Brady of Carrollton, Georgia, Erica Brady of San Antonio, Texas and Jacqueline Brady of Dayton, Texas; three brothers: Edwin Brady of Houston, Texas, Kendrick Cox of Marrietta, Georgia and Ollie Brady of Katy, TX; one sister: Endrika West of Katy, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.

Higman

W.A. “Buck” Higman, 77, of Hardin, Texas, died February 17, 2008 at Liberty/Dayton Community Hospital under the care of Faith Community Hospice LLC.

Cause of death was complications due to Alzheimer’s and C.O.P.D. He was born November 15, 1930 in Pelly, Texas (Baytown, Texas) to Harvey and Vivian Higman. A native of Baytown he resided in Hardin, Texas for many years.

Retired member of pipe liners Local #798 of Tulsa, OK, for 51 years. Member of Cedar Bayou Masonic Lodge #321 of Baytown, Texas, for 50 years, Arabia Shrine of Houston, Texas, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Houston, Texas. After retiring from Gregory & Cook pipeline of Houston, TX, “Buck” went into the Beefmaster Cattle Business, where he was a lifetime member of the BBU. He was a rodeo cowboy for many years, and member of RCA. He enjoyed working with his cattle, riding horses and most of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Marysee, Hardin, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Vivian Higman and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife Kay Higman of Hardin; his three daughters, Holly Nelson of Hardin, Jacque Kennedy and husband Boze of Lewisville, Ark., and Lynn Smith and husband Mike of Mt. Belvieu; son-in-law, Jerry White and wife Tuyet of Austin; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous friends and family.

Visitation will be February 18, 2008, at 5-8pm at Allison Funeral Service in Liberty, Texas. Funeral services will be February 19, 2008 at 2:00pm at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Hardin, TX. Bro. Carlton Bailey, Bro. Bill Fabriguze and Bro. V.R. Hylton will be officiating. Burial will be in Hardin Chapel cemetery in Hardin, Texas, with full Masonic Burial with Members of the Cedar Bayou Masonic Lodge #321 of Baytown, Texas. Church pallbearers will be Shane White, Charles Jacobs, Ralph Viles, Jerry White, Arlie Telschow, and Walter “Bubba” Telschow. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay White, Larry Gilbert, Autro Ovalle, and Harry Ullery.

Special thanks to the staff of Liberty Dayton Community Hospital Liberty, Texas and Faith Community Hospice in Baytown, Texas. Special thanks for the support from friends and family that came to visit. May God Bless You All.

He will be loved and greatly missed by many. In lieu of flowers, request that a contribution be made to the Landscape Fund at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 573 Hardin, Texas 77561.

Tanton

Charles J. “Jesse” Tanton, Sr., 60, of Liberty, died Sunday, February 17, 2008, at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at the Pentecostal Tabernacle on FM2830 with burial following at the Hill Top cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, at the church. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Jesse was born September 29, 1947 in Evadale, to parents; Henry Lee and Gladys Rockman Tanton, and has resided in the Liberty area throughout most of his life. He was a retired rig runner and truck driver, a former commercial fisherman, member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering with mowers, and especially spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Tanton was preceded in death by his parents and brother: William “Cooter” Tanton. He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Joyce Fregia Tanton of Liberty, sons: Charles J. “Bull” Tanton, Jr. and wife Jana of Baytown, William “Buck” Tanton and wife Karen of Hardin, and Sandy Tanton of Dayton, five grandchildren: Lauren, Amber, Jennifer, Macy, and Kaylee, sisters: Velea Whitmire of Batson, Lilly Ann Marcontell of Dayton, Betty Jo Cotton and husband Travis of Batson, and Becky Sue Laird and husband Robert of Hankamer, brothers: Bill Tanton of Liberty, Bobby Jo Tanton of Liberty, and Henry Don Tanton and wife Cookie of Liberty, sister-in-law: Dorothy Tanton of Liberty, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Holstein

Harold “Mickey” L. Holstein, age 70, of Houston, died February 15, 2008 in Palacious, TX.

He was born in Woodside, LA, April 4, 1937 the son of the late Leonard Holstein and Mollie Eugenia Wheat Holstein. He retired from the Boilmaker local #74.

He was predeceased by his son Norman Thomas Holstein, sisters Dixie Meyers, Lois Low and a half sister Marie McCall as well as a brother Freddie Holstein.

He leaves behind his daughter Micki Lynne Holstein, sons Claude Dwayne Holstein, Kelly Fred Holstein and his wife Vada. His sisters Johnnie Skinner and her husband Walter, Marilyn Joyner and her husband Charles, and Janet Wahrenberger and her husband Steven. Brothers, Leonard Holstein and his wife Lola, Charles Holstein and his wife Sissie. In addition he leaves the mother of his children Sandra Warchesik numerous nieces and nephews, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10-11:30am Tuesday February 19, 2008 with a funeral service to be held at 11:30 at the Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St. Dayton, TX with his nephew Judge Phil Fitzgerald to officiate. A graveside service will be held 2pm at the Brookside Memorial Park, Houston.

Stockwell

Lillian Francis (Altman) Stockwell, 74, of Anahuac, Texas, died Thursday, February 14, 2008.

She was born on June 5, 1933 to Louis and Norma (Rembert) Altman in Houston, Texas. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Anahuac. She loved to garden, especially flowers. Lillian enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary.

Lillian is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Karman Stockwell; sons, John Stockwell and wife Sally, David Stockwell, and Joey Stockwell and wife Rhea; sister, Earline Gotthardt; eight grandchildren, Sandi Welch, John Stockwell II, Jo-Linn Muniz, Stephanie Muniz, C.J. Stockwell, Tyler Stockwell, Cody Stockwell, and Riley Stockwell; five great-grandchildren, Jace Welch, Cade Welch, Brooke Muniz, Viktorya Muniz and Coltin Muniz; and numerous more relatives and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 until 6:00 PM Saturday, February 16 and from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday, February 17 at Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Anahuac with Rev. John Black officiating. Interment will follow in Anahuac cemetery.

Hernandez

Cesareo Hernandez, 73, of Cleveland, Texas, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008. He was born in Cedral SLP, Mexico on May 10, 1934.

Survivors include his wife, Antonia Lopez Orosuo; daughter, Isabel Hernandez; sons, Julio Hernandez, Jose Hernandez; sisters, Florencia Hornandez, Evodia Hernandez; brothers, Rito Hernandez, Juan Hernandez, Geronimo Hernandez; numerous nieces, nephews and many other loving and caring family members and friends.

Memorial services are being held Saturday, February 16, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Visitation is Friday, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.

Ainsworth

Harry Lee Ainsworth, 57, of Hardin, died on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Heart Hospital of Austin in Austin, TX.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, from 5-8 P.M. at Allison Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be at North Main Baptist Church on Saturday, February 16, at 2 P.M. Interment will follow at the Moss Hill Community cemetery in Moss Hill.

He was born to parents Lee Ernest Ainsworth and Nelda Rose Finley on February 26, 1950 in Liberty, TX. He worked as an oilfield consultant. He enjoyed hunting and cooking for all of his friends. Harry was a man with a very big heart. He was a giver of himself to others. He was a Baptist by faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Harry is survived by: his wife, Rhonda Jean Ainsworth of Hardin; sons: Scott Bradley Ainsworth, Harry Lee Ainsworth Jr. and his wife Karen, and Jason Lee Ainsworth and his wife Holly; daughters: Candice Darlene Mercer and husband Larry, Shanna LeAnn Keith and husband Brian; and one sister, Nelda Kay Ainsworth. Twelve grandchildren:

Justin Richard Ainsworth, Christopher Brock, Christopher David Brock, Cody Lee Ainsworth, Hope DaShae Brock, Justin Reed Miller, Austin Lee Ainsworth, Johnathan Pineda, Winston Pineda, Mason Lane Ainsworth, Allie Pollard and Jacob Ryan Delarosa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends also survive.

Williamson

Patricia “Pat” Louise Williamson, 62, of Hull, died Tuesday February 12, 2008 at her residence.

A native and lifelong residence of Hull she was a homemaker. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; Elbert Leslie Payne and Jewell Marie Payne May, son; Adam Smith and sister; Doris Brock. She is survived by her husband; Vernon Williamson of Hull, son; Jason Eric Williamson of Hull, Stepson; Edgar Wayne Williamson of New Caney. Brothers; Kenneth Payne, Howard Payne both of Hull, Glenn Payne of Winnie, sisters; Sandra Kay Brack Payne of Hull, grandson; Calvin Dewitt, of Hardin, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday February 16, 2008 at 10:00A.M.At First Baptist Church of Hull The family will be receiving friends today Friday February 15, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. Until 9:00 P.M.also at the church.

Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson. Services are entrusted to Faith & Family Funeral Services, Batson, TX

Childerss

Opal Childerss, of Lufkin, Texas, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at the age of 100. She was born in Livingston, Texas, on June 5, 1907 to Jasper J. and Vallie E. Young. Opal was Baptist in faith and belonged to the Pilot Club in Livingston.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Childerss; son, Herbert S. Childerss. Survivors include her sister, Eddy Vaye Davis; grandchildren, John R. Childerss and Kathleen C. Sanders; great-grandchildren, Katie Sanders, Rebekah Sanders, Russell Sanders, Lindsey Childerss, and Jace Childerss; nieces, Tamee Dark, Marsha Rosenkrans, and Jayne Manuel along with many other loving and caring family members and friends beyond measure.
Dr. Don M. Shannon conducted Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 14, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Coldspring, Coldspring, Texas, with interment, Oakwood cemetery, Coldspring, Texas.

Neault

Faith Regis Neault, prenatally entered Heaven on February 5, 2008 in Houston, Texas.

She is the daughter of Jamie and Catrina Neault of Dayton and the twin sister of Hope Neault.

Faith is also survived by her sister: Cassidy Neault of Dayton and her brother Teddy Osborn of Cy-Fair; her grandparents: Richard and Sylvia Neault of Waterboro, Maine and Ted and Cathy Hardin of Dayton. A Neault Family Fund has been set up at Prosperity Bank to help with hospital expenses. The parents would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this time in their lives.

Cooper

Rebecca Jane “Becca” Cooper, 25, of Houston, Texas, died Saturday, February 9, 2008. She was born in Conroe, Texas, on March 27, 1982 to John Edward and Maxine Cooper.

Survivors include her parents; brother, Nicholas Cooper; sister, Jessi Cooper; along with many other loving family members and caring friends beyond measure.

Memorial services were held Friday, February 15, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel.

Banning

Jody Gayle Banning, 35, of Dayton, died Friday, February 8, 2008 in Liberty.

She was born September 13, 1972 in Dayton, to parents: Bobby and Sandra Shipman Banning. A lifelong resident of Dayton, she graduated from Dayton High School in 1991, attended Eastgate Church, enjoyed drawing, cooking, painting, doing crafts and tending flowers.

Services for Jody will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Hilley officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather: J. E. Shipman and father: Bobby Banning.

She is survived by her husband: Watasa C. “Tas” Ohijai of Dayton; her son: Deven W. Ohijai of Dayton; mother: Sandra Banning and Dutch Schliski of Dayton; brothers: Jay D. Banning of Dayton and Joseph E. Banning of Dayton; sisters: Juliene Ramsey of Dayton and Jonnie Banning of Dayton; grandmother: Ruby Shipman of Dayton; mother-in-law: Michele Gray of C.E. King, father-in-law: Watasa Ohijai of Houston; brothers-in-law: John Ohijai and Brian Ohijai of C.E. King; aunt-in-law: Gayle Barnes of C. E. King; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Wiggins

Roger Michael Wiggins, 55, of Hull, died Friday February 8, 2008 at Liberty-Dayton Hospital in Liberty.

A native of Livingston he had lived in the area most of his life and was a welder with Shannon’s Fabrication of Hull.

He is survived by his wife; Cynthia Wiggins of Hull, Son; James Michael Wiggins of Austin, Daughter; Julia Smith and husband Kelley of Austin, Sister; Patsy Ulkie and husband Archie of Dayton. Half Sister; Linda Jenkins and husband Marvin of Kenefick.

A service of remembrance will be held today Monday February 11, 2008 at 10:00A.M. At Central Baptist church of Daisetta with Pastor Harry McDaniel Sr. and Reverend Tolbert Hudspeth officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson.

Services have been entrusted to Faith & Family Funeral Services, Batson, TX.
