Nancy Thurman, 86, former Brush, Colorado, resident, died Sunday evening January 29, 2006, in Liberty, TX. She was born August 18, 1919, in Vici, OK, to Mattie and Charles Wisenburg. She lived in Brush, CO., for over 40 years. Prior to retirement, Nancy had worked in the housekeeping department at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She moved to Dayton, TX, a few years ago to be closer to her family.

Survivors include two daughters: Ruth Shriner of Richardson, TX, and Shirley Brown of Liberty, TX. five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, two brothers, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 2; 00 P.M., at Allison Funeral Service. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Allison. Burial will be held on Friday, February 3, 2006 in the Brush Memorial cemetery at 11:00 A.M. with the Heer Mortuary & Crematory entrusted with the funeral arrangements in Brush, CO.

Aguilera

Kitana Elizabeth Aguilera, infant daughter of Jessie E. Porter of Dayton and Nolberto Aguilera of Anahuac, died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with burial following at Fairview cemetery in Winnie. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Kitana was born November 11, 2005 in Baytown and has resided in the Dayton. She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather: Paul Z. Porter and paternal great-grandparents: Andrew and Ines Hernandez. She is survived by her mother Jessie E. Porter of Dayton, father: Nolberto Aguilera of Anahuac, maternal grandmother: Laura Kaye Porter of Dayton, maternal grandfather: Mark Porter of Anahuac, paternal grandparents: Ignacio and Maria Aguilera of Anahuac, maternal great-grandmother: Margie M. Porter of Hamshire, maternal great-grandparents: Norman C and Robbie Abshere of Port Neches, paternal great-grandparents: Ramon and Maria Luisa Aguilera of Anahuac, and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Hamilton

Rachel Hamilton, 71, of Dolen, died Thursday, January 19, 2006 at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

She was born June 8, 1934 in Romayor to her late Parents: Robert Marsh and Isabell Reescano Marsh. She was a lifelong resident of the Romayor and Dolen areas and a member of the Green Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Romayor, where she was active in many church organizations. Mrs. Hamiton was also a retired custodian from the Tarkington Independent School District after 31 years of service and she enjoyed gardening, crocheting and collecting clocks.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the old Tarkington Auditorium with Rev. Charles Hines officiating. Burial will follow at the Dolen Community cemetery in Dolen.

She is survived by: Husband: Jack Hamilton of Dolen; Daughters: Helen Fay Williams and her husband Robert of Crosby and Linda Childress and her husband Pete of Humble; Sons: Jeffery Hamilton and his wife Sharon of Livingston, Michael Hamilton of Dolen, Donald Hamilton and his wife Janice of Hardin, Phillip Hamilton of Rayburn and Frederick Hamilton of Dolen; Step-Son: Leon Hamilton of Ames; Many Brothers and Sisters; Grandchildren: Bobby and her husband Gregory, Shell, LaKisha, Jeremy, Marcus, Marquisa, Marietta, Jasmine, Ebony, Meagan, Marquis, Jerrell, Raven and Cory; 9 Great-Grandchildren and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Relatives and Friends. She was preceded in death by: Parents: Robert Marsh and Isabell Reescano Marsh; Step-Son: Robert Hamilton, Jr. and Grandchildren: Wayne and Meldon.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2006 at the Green Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Romayor.

Anderson

Leo H. Anderson, 75, of Kosse, died Friday, January 20, 2006, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Pm, Monday, January 23, 2006, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Sunday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Leo was born November 11, 1930, in Dayton, to parents; Morris „Pat‰ Anderson and Minnie „Myrtle‰ Moseley, a former resident of Dayton, and has resided in the Kosse area for the past 14 years. He was a retired brick mason and 50 year gold card member of the Brick Mason‚s Local #7 of Houston, veteran of the US Army with service during the Korean War, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, ranching, camping, gardening, and will be remembered as a jack of all trades.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his father: Pat Anderson, mother: Myrtle Moseley Bergeron, stepfathers: Lou Cole and Irby Bergeron, and brother: Roland Anderson. He is survived by his wife: Vicky McGuire Anderson of Kosse, sons: Dale Anderson and wife Donna of Dayton, Mike Anderson and wife Lara of Sergeant, and Billy Anderson of Kosse, daughters: Colleen LeMoine and husband Phillip of Humble and Gale Gothard of Crosby, sisters: Ola Mae Neal of Gonzales, LA and Patsy Harmon of Houston, 11 grandchildren: Justin Brown, Jason Brown and wife Kate, Logan, Cody, Lacey, and Hadden Anderson, Chris Beck, Dru Tipps, Alyssa Sewell, and Shay and Kris LeMoine, one great-granddaughter on the way, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Spence

Rev. C. J. Spence, 74, of Cleveland, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006 in Cleveland, Texas. He was born March 13, 1931 in Diboll, Texas to parents: James Clarence Spence and Effie Ashworth Spence. He had lived most of his life in Cleveland where he graduated from High School. He served in the United States Navy in Korea. Mr. Spence worked for many years in the construction business and also worked for TDCT Institution Division. He also served as a minister. He loved to work in his yard and enjoyed his family.

Services for Mr. Spence will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the Daisetta Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Lamar Shane officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry cemetery in Batson, Texas under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by Wife: Audrey Spence of Cleveland; Sons: Lamar Shane and wife Jill of Daisetta, and James Spence and wife Victoria of Tennessee; Sister: Sybile McLeain of Florida; Three grandchildren: Shelley Shane, Jared Spence and Matthew Spence.

Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Daisetta Assembly of God Church in Daisetta.

Schwartz

Lila Mae Jimmerson Schwartz, 80, of Dayton, died Tuesday, January 17, 2005, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Pm, Thursday, January 19, 2005, at the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church in Kenefick and graveside services to be held at 2 Pm, Friday, January 20, 2005, at the Old Center cemetery in Center. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held from 9 Am to noon, Friday, at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Lila Mae was born January 31, 1925, in Joaquin, to parents; Dewey and Ellen Ward Jimmerson and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 12 years. She was a homemaker, member of the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church, and enjoyed embroidery, quilting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Schwartz was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Bobby G. „Grandpa‰ Schwartz, son: Timothy Hooper, father-in-law: Richard Oller, sister: Nina Lee Lindsey, and brother: Dewey I. Jimmerson. She is survived by daughter: Martha E. Burch and husband Charles of Dayton, sons: Bobby D. Schwartz and wife Betty of Pearland, Ernie D. Schwartz and wife Cathy of Texas City, Duane Hooper and wife Reené of Houston, and Gerald G. Hooper and wife Linda of Deer Park, mother-in-law: Maxine Schwartz Oller of Peoria, IL, sisters: Irene Davis of Joaquin and Esther Burt of San Angelo, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

McMillen

Juanita Lane McMillen, 80, of Dayton, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 Pm, Friday, January 20, 2006, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Thursday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Juanita was born September 9, 1925 in DeWitt, to parents; Carl Lane and Nora New, a former resident of Baytown, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 35 years. She was a homemaker, member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dayton, and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, fishing, camping, and caring for her puppies and goldfish.

Mrs. McMillen was preceded in death by her father: Carl Lane, mother: Nora New Echols, son: Bobby Johnson, and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 34 years: Floyd McMillen of Dayton, sons: Jimmy Headrick and wife Patricia of Dayton and David Johnson and wife Karen of Goodman, MO, daughter: Glenda Johnson McDonald and husband Jerry of Dayton, her first four grandchildren: James Dale Headrick, John Carl Headrick, Janell Headrick Shipman, and Joy Headrick Scruggs, her eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other elatives, and friends.

Hughes

Jimmy Ray Hughes, 54, of Dayton, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 at North East Medical Center in Humble.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wed., Jan. 18th at Life Fellowship Church in Liberty. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Tuesday, Jan. 17th at the Funeral Home in Dayton.

Jimmy was born in Mexia, Texas on Feb. 08, 1951 to parents Clifton and Hazel Hughes.

He graduated from Channelview, and has been in the Dayton area the past 29 years. He has been a Route salesman in this area for many years. He was working for Mom’s Sandwiches in Houston for the past year. He was known as a workaholic, loved his job. He also loved to eat and work outdoors in his yard. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his wife: Darlene Hughes of Dayton, son: Derrick Hughes and wife Rainbow of Richmond, daughter: Regan Melchor and husband Mark of Baytown, brothers: David Hughes and wife Janie of Dayton, Pat Whitsell of Dayton, Dewey Hughes and wife Linda of Crosby, and Jerry Hughes, and two grandchildren: Ashton Melchor and Avery Hughes. Also, numerous nieces and nephews also survived.

Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.

Frazar

Alma Juanita Frazar, 84, of Wallisville, TX, died in the Bayside Community Hospital Friday, January 13, 2006.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home, 1201 South Main Street Anahuac, TX, with the Reverend Roy Frazar officiating, with burial following in the Anahuac cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2006 from 5:00 P. M., until 8:00 P. M., at the Sterling Funeral Home, Anahuac.

Alma was born on November 16, 1921 in Dallas, TX, to Charles Newton Yates and Rosie Howell Yates. She attended Dallas schools before marring Columbus Franklin ‘Frank’ Frazar Jr., on August 29, 1941. She was a super cook, and enjoyed working in her garden. She was an avid reader, and would anything for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of The Assembly Of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors are her husband of 64 years, Frank Frazar of Wallisville, TX, three sons: Ammie Eugine Frazar Sr., and wife Helen, of Hankamer, TX, Wesley Wayne Frazar, of Hankamer, TX, Roy Frazar and wife Wanda, of Broken Arrow, OK., and a daughter: Jerry Lynn Frazar of Austin, TX. 22 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

LeNormand

Clinton "Bull" LeNormand, 77, of Hull, died Friday, January 13, 2006 at his residence.

He was born June 28, 1928 in Hull to his late parents: Austin LeNormand and Gladys Lockard LeNormand. He was a lifelong resident of Hull, enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football games and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Rev. Jeff Stracner officiating. Burial will follow at the Guedry cemetery in Batson.

Survivors include: Wife: Ethel “Shine” LeNormand of Hull; Sons: Cris LeNormand and his wife Pam of Hardin, William LeNormand and his wife Debbie of Hull, Rudy LeNormand and his wife Gaylon of Batson and Kenny LeNormand of Hull; Daughter: April Keel and her husband Jason of Sour Lake; Brother: Pete LeNormand and his wife Mary of Trinity; Sisters: Louise Powell and her husband W. P. “Bill” of Hull and Judy Dowdell of Hull; 13 Grandchildren: Amber Redding and her husband James “Peewee” of Hardin, William E. LeNormand and his fiancé Jody White of Hardin, Richard LeNormand and his wife Jennifer of Hardin, Cristi DeBlanc and her husband Jason of Hardin, Ashlee Cooper and her husband Brandon of Lafayette, Louisiana, Michelle Bailey and her husband Daniel of Hull, Eric LeNormand and his fiancé Jessica Trail of Batson, Julie Weaver and her husband Marcus of Batson, Kellie Tomlinson and her husband Matt of Saratoga, James “J. C.” Moody and his fiancé June Ytuarte of Batson, Regina Poland and her husband James of Batson, Brittney Carouthers of Sour Lake and Madison Keel of Sour Lake and 11 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: Parents: Austin LeNormand and Gladys Lockard LeNormand; Sister: Mary L. Broussard; Brothers: L. C. LeNormand, Ralph LeNormand and Bennie Dale LeNormand and Grandchildren: Derek LeNormand and Jennifer LeNormand. Pallbearers will be: Tim Moody, Jeremy Rawlinson, James “Peewee” Redding, Sean Webb, Johnny Nugent and Kimmie Ard.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Peddy

Florence Peddy, 92, of Baytown, died Thursday, January 12, 2005 at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

She spent most of her life in Anahuac having worked at her family businesses including the City Café and the Teen Canteen. She also had worked at Hill’s Grocery in Anahuac and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anahuac. Mrs. Peddy spent some of her early years in Beaumont where she attended and graduated from South Park High School.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Anahuac with Rev. Russell Fite officiating. Burial will follow at the Anahuac cemetery.

She is survived by: Children: David Peddy and his wife Audrey of Groves, Elmo Peddy and his wife Kay of Hankamer, Kathleen Davis and her husband Willie Ray of Moss Bluff and Danny Peddy and his wife Lou of Baytown; Brother: Kelly Hogg of Virginia; 12 Grandchildren; 20 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Kyle Peddy, Rusty Hampton, Cody Hampton, Shawn Peddy, Keith Hampton and Justin Davis.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

Jezek

Jo Ann Lee Jezek, 51, of Dayton, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the Baylor Medical Center Hospital in Dallas after a long illness.

She was born on October 24, 1954 in Houston to Parents: William Earnest Lee and Esther M. Underwood Lee. Jo Ann had been a student at Liberty High School, was a homemaker, Baptist by faith and was a loving Mother and Grandmother.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

She is survived by her Husband: John Jezek of Dayton; Son: Cory M. Wagers and his wife Stacy of New Caney; Parents: William and Esther Lee of Rye; Grandsons: Aiden and Gavin Wagers of New Caney; Sister: Esther Henson and her husband James of Rye; Brother: James A. Wagers of Rye and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2006 at 2:00 P. M. at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Burial will follow at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton.

DuBose

Marvin Chester ‘Dick’ DuBose, 80, of Devers, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Devers with Rev. Harry McDaniel officiating with burial following at Guedry cemetery in Batson. Visitation will be held from 5Pm to 9Pm, Thursday, at the Funeral Home in Dayton.

Mr. DuBose was born Feb. 7, 1925 in Brookland. He was a farmer/rancher and lived in the area over 70 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Devers. He was a veteran of the US Navy in WWII. He enjoyed hunting.

Mr. DuBose was preceded in death by his parents: P.T. & Jane DuBose, Stepfather: Reuben Miller, Brothers: Robert DuBose & Jesse DuBose, Sisters : Ruby Miller and Maggie Marshal.

Mr. DuBose is survived by his lovely wife, Ernestine DuBose of Devers, son: Marvin Dubose and wife Dianne of Devers, Foster Daughter: Laci Havens and husband Archie of Singer, Louisina; Brother: Edgar Miller of Hull; Sister: Millie Garett of Durant Oklahoma. Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Service are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral, Dayton.

Waldrop

Marjorie Waldrop, 80, of Dayton, was born January 2, 1926 in Madisonville, Texas to her late parents John and Lola Thompson. She died on Monday, January 10, 2006 at her residence.

She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Marjie had lived in Dayton for the last 25 years after moving from Channelview and she enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by: her precious Husband: Drew N. “Baby Drew” Waldrop; beloved Sister: Eunice Mason; Sister-in-law: Thelma Thompson; Daughter-at-heart: Deborah Sue Turner and her husband Oscar. She will also be greatly missed by all of her numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Rev. Bob Morgan officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Brookside Memorial Park in Houston. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Pallbearers will be: Chuck Hooker, Wayne Brassell, Larry Wiseman, Troy Swearingen, Robert Turner and Lloyd Willis.
