Austin Gilley, 6 months old infant son of Lawrence and Kristy Gilley died on Monday, Jan. 9th, 2006 at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 10 am, Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with burial following at East Sandy cemetery in New Waverly, Texas. †Visitation will be held from 5pm to 9pm, Wednesday, Jan. 11th †at the funeral home in Dayton.

Austin is survived by his parents: Lawrence and Kristy Gilley, twin-brother: Nathan Gilley, Grandparents: Edward & Rhonda Myers of Liberty, Dwayne & Cora Gilley of Liberty; Great-Grandmothers: Jeanette Hatcher of Dayton, and Nelda Tousha of Liberty;

Great-Grandparents: Lou & Sandra Myers of Angola, Indiana, and Marion & Barbara May of Moss Hill; and Great-Great Grandmother: Edith Leatherman of Fort Worth, Indiana. †

Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.

Mills

Pamela Sue Mills, 48, of Dayton, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006, at St. Lukeís Hospital in Houston.

Funeral services will be held 2 Pm, Friday, Jan.13, 2006, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with burial following at Magnolia Park in Dayton. Visitation will be held 5pm to 9 pm, Thursday, Jan. 12th, at the Funeral Home.

Pamela was born October 7, 1957 in Corpus Christi to parents; Harvey & Nancy Guinn. Pamela, a former resident of Corpus Christi, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 6 years. †She was a graduate of Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, class of 1976. †She was a homemaker.

Pamela was preceded in death by his uncle: Travis Williams, Father-in-law: Jack B. Mills.

Pamela is survived by her husband: Richard Mills of Dayton, Sons: Joshua W. Mills of Indian Brook Reservation, Nova Scotia, Canada,

and Michael W. Mills of Dayton; Parents: Harvie & Nancy Guinn of Dayton, Brother: Ronald L. Guinn and wife Michelle of Dayton; Sister: Patricia (Griffin) Guinn and husband Terry of Dayton;

Aunts: Wanda Williams of Pleaston, Rita Huntington of Lake Jackson †Uncle: Harvie Orsack of Somerset; Sister-in-law: Cynthia Mathis of Corpus Christi; Brother-in-law: Stephen Mills and wife Cheryl Jean of Corpus Christi; and Mother-in-law: Anna Mills of Corpus Christi. Numerous Nieces and nephews also survived.

Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Shipman

Mike L. Shipman, 36, of Dayton, died Monday, January 9, 2006, at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Funeral services will be held 2 Pm, Thursday, January 12, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Dayton with burial following at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Mike was born March 2, 1969, in Baytown, to parents; Leroy and Edna McKinney Shipman, a former resident of Nixon, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past three years. He was a graduate of the Liberty High School class of 1988, wireless internet technician for Core Communications, veteran of the US Navy, former member of the Nixon VFD, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, electronics, and photography.

Mr. Shipman was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: George and Reba Shipman, maternal grandparents: Milton and Myrtle McKinney, aunt: Mattie Lou Croft, and uncles: James McKinney, Marlin McKinney, and John McKinney. He is survived by his parents: Leroy and Edna Shipman of Dayton, sister: Danna M. Farmer and husband Jack of Liberty, special friend: Gayle Polansky of Dayton, nephews: Jason Shipman and Jacub Farmer, nieces: Jaimie McMillan, Kaela Maye Bollom, Brittany Farmer, and Jaclyn Farmer, great-niece: Addison McMillen, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of usual floral remembrances, the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia Foundation or the First Baptist Church of Dayton.

Roach

Lottie Mae Roach, 75, of Hull, died January 8, 2006, in the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown, Texas.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2006, 5 pm until 8 pm at Allison Funeral Service, Liberty, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM, Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at Allison Funeral Service, Liberty, Texas. Rev. Harry McDaniel will officiate.

Lottie was born in Hull, Texas to parents, Marion Flowers and Mary O. Myers Flowers. She was a homemaker and loved cooking, crocheting, and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter R. “Johnny” Roach, and two sons, Johnny Edward Roach and Jerry Wayne Roach.

She is survived by two daughters; Peggy Johnson and husband Charles and Patsy Gueldenhuys, two brothers; George Flowers and wife Velma, and Marion Flowers and wife Jean, and one sister; Dorothy Marie Smith, Five Grandchildren, Angela Howard, Charles Johnson Jr., Regina Blackwell, Samantha Cleveland, and Amanda Davidson, fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Schwartz

Bobby G. "Grandpa" Schwartz, 75, of Dayton, died Sunday, January 8, 2005, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, January 10, 2005, at the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church in Kenefick and graveside services to be held at 2 Pm, Wednesday, January 11, 2005, at the Old Center cemetery in Center. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Monday, at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held from 9 Am to noon, Wednesday, at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Bobby was born March 28, 1930, in Harrisburg, IL, to parents; Richard and Maxine Schwartz Oller, a former resident of Center, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 12 years. He was a retired electrician foreman for Armco Steel of Greens Bayou, member and Deacon of the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church, and enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Schwartz was preceded in death by his father: Richard Oller. He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Lila M. Jimmerson Schwartz of Dayton, daughter: Martha E. Burch and husband Charles of Dayton, sons: Bobby D. Schwartz and wife Betty of Pearland, Ernie D. Schwartz and wife Cathy of Texas City, Duane Hooper and wife Reené of Houston, and Gerald G. Hooper and wife Linda of Deer Park, mother: Maxine Schwartz Oller of Peoria, IL, brother: Dean Hohimer of Pekin, IL, sisters: Barbara Clarkston of Pekin, IL, Kay Cataldo of Newport, FL, Wanda Gray of Brandon, IL, and Becky Moore of Pekin, IL, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Stubbs

Jennifer Stubbs, 42, of Moss Bluff, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

She was born November 29, 1963 in Baytown to her late parents: Henry O. Stubbs, Jr. and Helen Gray Canady Stubbs. She lived in the Anahuac area all of her life, graduated from Anahuac High School in 1981 and enjoyed the outdoors.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Anahuac cemetery under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

She is survived by: Husband Eddie Simon of Moss Bluff; Son Robbie Russell, Jr. of Oak Island; Daughters: Amanda Simon of Moss Bluff and Kandy Simon of Moss Bluff; Brother: Larry Wayne Stubbs of Springdale, Arkansas; Sister: Joanne Barfield of Baytown and 4 Nieces. She was preceded in death by: Parents: Henry O. Stubbs, Jr. and Helen Gray Canady Stubbs; Sister: Rebecca Stubbs and a Grandchild: Kaden Wade Lampton.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

Brannon

Thomas R. M. Brannon, Sr., 67, of Liberty, died Monday, January 2, 2006 at his residence.

He was born May 18, 1938 in Cleveland, Texas to his late parents: William Columbus Brannon and Ruth Reed Brannon. Thomas lived in the Liberty County area all of his life and was a retired Consultant from the Petroleum Industry, working many years for Golden Engineering in Houston. He also enjoyed music, singing and watching wrestling.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Rev. Harold Pope and Rev. Ken Worley officiating. Burial will follow at the Squier cemetery in Cleveland.

He is survived by: Wife: Lilly Brannon of Liberty; Children: Robert Brannon of Liberty; Lillie Hopson and her husband Tommy of Goodrich; Margaret Casey and her husband Duane of Huffman; Donna Quinn and her husband Brent of Liberty and Monique Robicheaux of Jeanerette, Louisiana; Sister: Billie Jo Jeffcoat and her husband Lewis of Pasadena; 13 Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by: Parents: William Columbus Brannon and Ruth Reed Brannon; Daughter: Mae Annette Brannon; Granddaughter: Elizabeth Ann Brannon and Brother: R. J. Brannon.

Pallbearers will be: Bobby Jeffcoat, Jerry Jeffcoat, Billy Owens, Jesse Lee Tenorio, Michael Prather and Walter Allen Tenorio. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Joshua Thomas Hopson, Larry Hill, Jr. and Kenny Rogers. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Moss

George Ray Moss, 59, of Hardin, died Friday, December 30, 2005 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 3 at the Hardin Baptist Church in Hardin. Interment will follow at Antioch cemetery in Buna, Texas. Visitation will be Monday, January 2, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Allison funeral Service in Liberty.

George was born in Evening Shade, AR, to his parents, Boyd George Moss and Roxie Faye Barnett. He graduated from Evening Shade High School in 1965. He was retired from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. George had attained the office of Master Jailer and Master Peace Officer. He was a member of the force in Liberty County for sixteen years. He was also a member of the Gus A. Brant Masonic Lodge, AF & AM in Houston, TX. Gardening and cooking were among his favorite things to do.

George is survived by wife, Julie Marie Ansley Moss of Hardin and children: sons; Keith Allen Moss and wife Kimberly, Jeffrey McKinley Moss and wife Shannon all of Wichita, Kansas, Richard Odom and wife Chastity of Hardin, Chad Edward Turner and wife Crystal of Daisetta, and daughters, Cindy Fregia and husband Joey of Hardin, Kimberly Arin Moss of Hardin. Sisters: Evelyn Gail Vickery of Baytown and Brenda Arnold of Wichita, Kansas along with grandchildren; Nicholas, Kymbal, and Bailey Fregia, Olivia Odom, Cody and Kelsey Turner also survive.

Dagle

Betty Ellen Dagle, age 88, of Daisetta, TX, died Tuesday at her home in Hull, TX.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2005, at the Pentecostal Tabernacle F. M. 2830 North at 10:00 A. M. with the Reverends J. O. Hendricks and David Busby officiating with burial in the Oakdale cemetery, Daisetta, TX. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Allison Funeral Service 11012 North Travis Street Liberty, Texas 77575 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P. M.

Betty was born on August 18, 1917 in Hull, TX, to Eli Fregia and Rose Anna Fregia, and attended the Hull-Daisetta schools. She married Tennie Dagle, Sr. and lived in the Hull-Daisetta area all of her life. She was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church. She loved to work in her garden and flower beds, and she was handy with woodworking projects. Betty was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and for her church family.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, four stepsons, three brothers, three sisters, and three grandsons.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law: Ellen Faye and James Gaston, of Hull, TX, Rose and Tex Proctor of Thicket, TX, Barbara and Don Ballard of Hull, TX, Norma Jean Fontenot of Liberty, TX, a son Tennie Dagle, Jr. of Liberty, TX, two sisters: Josephine Fontenot of Silsbee, TX, Rose Lee Ingram of Irving, TX, four brothers: R. D. Fregia, L. E. Fregia, John Edward Fregia all of Dallas, TX, and Lonnie Fregia of Quitman, TX, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, and a host of other family members and frends.

Shipman

Johnny Ray Shipman, Sr., 61, of Dayton, died Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 Pm, Friday, December 30, 2005, at Ryan cemetery in Tarkington Prairie with Rev. Mike Blackburn officiating and burial following thereafter. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Thursday and continue from 9 Am to noon, Friday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Johnny was born November 26, 1944 in Brookhaven, MS to parents; J. E. and Ruby L. Yarbrough Shipman, and has resided in the Dayton area throughout most of his life. He was a retired tool pusher in the oil field industry, veteran of the US Navy, member of the Trinity Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, carpentry, clockwork, small engine repair, and traveling to Louisiana.

Mr. Shipman was prece3ded in death by his father: J. E. Shipman, and brothers: James E. and Larry E. Shipman. He is survived by his daughter: Missy Jackson and husband Jesse of Sergeant, son: Johnny Ray Shipman, Jr. and wife Diane of Katy, nine grandchildren: Derrick Shipman and wife Brandy, C. J. Gunter, Krystle Shipman, Leslie Crews, Cory Shipman, Scooter Crews, Dalton Jackson, Josh Jackson, and Jesse Jackson, Jr., one great-grandchild: Connor Shipman, mother: Ruby L. Shipman of Dayton, sisters: Sandra Banning of Dayton, Sue Banik and husband Melvin of Flynn, and Patricia Totzer of Anahuac, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Goulder

Edward C. “Eddie” Goulder, 81, of Dayton, died Monday, December 26, 2005 at home. He was born January 16, 1924.

He retired from the Petroleum industry. He worked many years as a pumper and a lease operator. He was in the U.S. Marine Corp and a veteran of WWII. He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. He also loved to play golf, hunting and fishing. While his children were growing up, he loved coaching little league teams; he spent a lot of time teaching kids how to play ball.

Service for Mr. Goulder will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with interment to follow at V A Houston National cemetery in Houston.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Eunice Goulder and brother: Robert Goulder.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Dorothy Goulder of Dayton; daughters: Janette Frick and husband Brett of Kenefick; Beverly Murphy of Spring; sons: Von Goulder and wife Janis of Dayton; Don Goulder of Kenefick; Steve Goulder and wife Pam of Mont Belvieu; Sister: May Ausbon of Oklahoma. Eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survived.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, December 28 at the Funeral Home.

Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas.

Wingo

Alicea G. Wingo, 73, of Dayton, died Friday, December 23, 3005 at the Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

She was Born April 1, 1932 in Calexico, California, to her late parents: Earl Cheney and Ethel Warner Cheney, lived in Dayton since 1955 and had formerly lived in Crosby. Alicea enjoyed sewing, raising children, cooking and shopping.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2005 at the Batson Prairie Baptist Church in Batson with Rev. Lance Hammond and Rev. Lonnie Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at the Guedry cemetery in Batson.

She is survived by: Husband: William “Dub” Wingo, Jr. of Dayton; Daughters: Ethel Earline Jones and her husband Harrell on Hull and Dianne Ramey and her husband Pat of Dennison; Sister: Carlene Kimball and her husband Bill of Wilcox, Arizona; Brother: Warner Cheney and his wife Mary of Pecan Gap, Texas; 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Parents: Earl Cheney and Ethel Warner Cheney and Son: William Lee Wingo.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2005 at the Batson Prairie Baptist Church in Batson.

Potts

James Davis Potts, 51, of Dayton, died December 21, 2005 in Baytown. He lived in the Dayton area most of his life. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 20+ years. He loved collecting rail road memorabilia.

Mr. Potts was preceded in death by his parents James and Ruby Potts, Sr.

He is survived by Sons: James P. Potts of Conroe; Jason D. Potts of Midway; and Sister-Christine Shepherd and husband Mike of Wallisville; One grandchild: Jacob Potts, and two nieces and one nephew.

Graveside service will be held at Friday, December 23, 2005, at Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 11am till 2pm, Friday, at the Funeral Home.

Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
