Cora Jo Kennedy, 77, of Livingston, died Friday, October 5, 2001 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. She was a native and longtime resident of Dayton, had previously lived in Alabama, had recently moved to Livingston and was a homemaker. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, October 13, 2001 at the Linney cemetery in Dayton. She is survived by her Son: H. D. Kennedy of Baytown; Brother: Jack Linney of Texas; 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

McZeal

Ada Mae McZeal, 82, of Liberty, died Saturday, October 6, 2001 at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

A native of Dayton, Mrs. McZeal spent most of her life in Crosby moving to Liberty in 1987.

She was a very faithful member of the Godfrey's Chapel Church of God in Christ served on the Missions Board for a number of years.

She is preceded in death by her Husband: Anthony McZeal, Sr. and her Son: Jules McZeal.

A Wake Service will be held from 7 PM until 9 PM, Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the Godfrey's Chapel Church of God in Christ in Liberty.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 12, 2001 at the Godfrey's Chapel Church of God in Christ in Liberty with the Rev. W. D. Haynes officiating.

Interment will follow at the San Jacinto memorial Park cemetery in Houston.

She is survived by her Son: Anthony McZeal, Jr. and his wife of Jennings, LA; Daughters: Lizzie Terrell of Liberty, Theresa Malone of Channelview, Betha Lockhart, Alfredia Baskin and Eleanor Newton and her husband all of Baytown and a Host of Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11 AM until 5 PM, Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Sewell

Mary Lou Sewell, 73, of Coldspring died Thursday, October 4, 2001. Born in Moody, Texas she had been a longtime resident of Houston. Services for Ms. Sewell will be at 2:30 PM, Sunday, October 7, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home chapel in Coldspring with Dr. Don Shannon officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill cemetery.

She was preceded in death by brother, I. O. Sewell and sisters, Velma, Helen and Ruth. She is survived by four brothers: James H. Sewell, Melvin "Mutt" Sewell, Joe T. Sewell, and Sam B. Sewell, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also by her loving caretaker, Peggy Lee. Pallbearers are Donald Atkins, Tony Sewell, Rocky Sewell, Melvin Sewell, Billy Green Sewell, and Jim D. Sewell.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2001 from 6 PM until 9 PM at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Coldspring.

Coyle

Roland David Coyle, 56, of Cleveland, died Thursday, October 4, 2001 at his residence in Cleveland. He was a native of Cleveland; a United States Army Veteran of Vietnam and was a member of the Joy Fellowship Church in Cleveland. Services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, October 6, 2001 at the Joy Fellowship Church in Cleveland with the Rev. Forrest Land, Rev. Roland Coyle and the Rev. Bobby Morgan officiating. Interment with Military Honors provided by the Cleveland Memorial Post #1839 will follow at the Oakshade cemetery in Cleveland.

Survivors include Wife: Donna Coyle; Sons: Forrest Van Coyle and wife Kelley of South Carolina, Roland Daniel Coyle and wife Kim of Cleveland and Charles Darrell Lyndsey of Texas; Brothers: L. V. Coyle and James Coyle both of Texas; Sister: Ruth Dartlon of Louisiana and seven Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Fernando Lomas, Craig Lowe, Ray Whitmire, Marion "Bean" Whitmire, Gregory Land, Buddy Lowe, Buddy Whitmire and Keith Capellen. Visitation will be at 4 PM, Friday, October 5, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Enloe

Sibyl Isaack Enloe, 86, of Dayton, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at the Magnolia Place Health Care Center in Liberty. A native of Cleveland, Texas she had spent most of her life in Dayton. She was a Charter Member of the Pin Oak Baptist Church in Cleveland and a member of the First Baptist Church in Dayton. She married the late Roy Enloe in 1930 and devoted her life to her husband and children. She was a loving Mother who always helped others in a time of need.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Roy Enloe, Brothers: Reed Isaack and Arby Isaack and Sister: Mamie Rutherford.

Services will be at 2 PM, Friday, October 5, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Chapel in Dayton with interment to follow at the Pin Oak cemetery in Cleveland.

She is survived by her Sons: Buford E. Enloe of Cleveland and Charles E. Enloe and his wife Shirley of Baytown; Daughter: Leveata J. Griffin and her husband "C. F." of Dayton; Grandchildren: Michael B. Griffin, Patrick W. Griffin and wife Marsha and Jeanie L. Enloe; great-grandchildren: Shane, Carl, Philip, Alaina, Alan and Amy Griffin and Special Person: Linda McDonald. Visitation will be at 4 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2001 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Kirchner

Willamena Juanita “Nita” Kirchner, 74, of Hardin, died Tuesday, October 2, 2001, at the Liberty-Dayton Hospital in Liberty.

Services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, October 5, 2001 at Allison funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Tony Hines officiating. Visitation will be held form 7 PM to 9 PM, Thursday, at Allison funeral Service in Liberty. Services are under the direction of Allison Funeral Service in Liberty.

Nita was a native of Washington County, Texas and had lived in Hardin for 30 years. She was born January 22, 1927 to parents William Henry Brockermeyer and Lillie Amason Brockermeyer. She graduated from Navasota High School, was President of Knight Forest Association, enjoyed yard work and volunteered for the fire department.

Mrs. Kirchner was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother, and a son, Gerald Wayne Olsen. Survivors include her husband, James Kirchner of Hardin; sisters: Nola Cummins, Dorothy Reese, and Dora Wade, all of Houston; several nieces and nephews.

Cessna

Otis Perry Cessna, 77, of Hardin, died Sunday, August 19, 2001, at the Liberty-Dayton Hospital in Liberty. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, August 22, 2001, at the Allison Funeral Service Chapel with burial following at Hardin Chapel cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Allison Funeral Service in Liberty.

Otis was born in Hardin to parents; John H. Cessna and Mary Vanya Cessna, and resided in the Hardin area throughout his lifetime. He was a retired pumper of Pointer Oil of Liberty after 16 years of service, a veteran of the US Army with service during World War II, previous employee of Humble Oil & Exxon from 1947 to 1959, owner and operator of Hardin Grocery from 1960-1971, Mayor of Hardin in 1973, City Councilman of Hardin for numerous years, member of the Hardin Baptist Church, and graduate of the Hardin High School Class of 1941. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and politics.

Mr. Cessna was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Jackie Patrick Cessna, and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include his tow sons: Randy Cessna and wife Mary of Hardin and Troy Cessna and wife Sandy of San Antonio, three grandchildren: Perry Allen Cessna of Hardin, Kelli Rene Cessna of Hardin, and Corbin Cessna of San Antonio, brother: Vernon Cessna of San Antonio, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Boles

Lela Mae Boles, 69, of Cleveland, died Saturday, August 18, 2001 at the Conroe Medical Center Hospital in Conroe. She was a native of Fostoria, a longtime resident of the Cleveland Area and was a retired Postal Clerk. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, August 20, 2001 at the Pin Oak cemetery in Cleveland under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

She is survived by her Husband J. W. Boles of Cleveland; Son Wade Boles and his wife Karen Marie of Cleveland; Daughters: Linda Boles of Conroe and Lesa Boles Payne and her husband Jim of Cleveland; Sister: Betty Enloe and her husband Errie of Batson; 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Sunday, August 19, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Jones

Harriet Goddard Jones, 77, of Liberty, died Saturday, August 11, 2001 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

Funeral services will be 9:30 AM, Thursday, August 16, 2001 at The First Baptist church of Liberty. Interment will be at 4:00 PM in Rosemound cemetery in Waco, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Mrs. Jones had lived in the Liberty area for 18 years. She was a homemaker and a member of The First Baptist Church of Liberty. She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David F. and Mabel Goodard; sister Mae Richards; brothers Dave Goddard and Edward Goddard. She is survived by her husband, Eugene "Ike" Jones of Liberty, daughters Janet Jones Lockhart of Johnson City, TX, Linda Ann Neal of Macon, GA, Karen Jones Crawford of Liberty, TX, son David Jones of Orangefield, TX, brother Dr. Chauncey Goddard of Bastrop, TX, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Thibodeaux

Kathy Thibodeaux, 38, of Dayton, died Friday, August 10, 2001 at her residence after an illness. She was a native of Sulphur, Louisiana and had lived in Dayton for the last 9-1/2 years. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, August 13, 2001 at the Magnolia Park cemetery in Dayton under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

She is survived by her Husband: James Thibodeaux of Dayton; Parents: Steve and Celeste Landry of Carlyss, LA; Son: Josh Thobodeaux of Dayton; Daughter: Laura Thibodeaux of Dayton; Grandparents: Grace Savoie of Sulphur, LA. And Irene Landry of Sulphur, LA; Brother: Jeff Landry oaf Carlyss, LA; Sisters: Lori Smith of Lake Charles, LA, Chris Bergeron of Sulphur, LA and Stephanie Phillips of Pearland, TX and several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 13, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Townsend

April Racki Townsend, 43, of Liberty, died Thursday, August 9, 2001, at Hermann Hospital in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, August 13, 2001, at the Allison Funeral Service Chapel with Father Frank Paduch officiating and burial following at the Liberty Catholic cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Sunday with a Rosary service at 7 PM, at the funeral home.

April was born May 2, 1958 in Liberty to parents; Raymond D. Racki and Sally Walters Racki, native of Liberty; she has also resided in Rye and Lufkin. She was a homemaker, graduate of the Hardin High School class of 1976, had attended Stephen F. Austin University, and was Catholic by faith. April also enjoyed art, swimming, nature, reading and especially spending time with her children.

Mrs. Racki Townsend was preceded in death by her father: Raymond Racki, daughter: Cara Rose Townsend, and grandparents: Alton Walters, P. A. 'Pete' Racki, and Gertrude Racki. Survivors include her sons: Chase and Hunter Townsend of Liberty County, daughter: Caitlin Townsend of Liberty County, mother: Sally Racki of Ace, sister: Lisa Racki of Louisiana, aunts: Darlene Wise and husband Harold of Canton, Sonja Asendorf and husband Wally of Georgetown, and Mary C. Racki of Rye, grandmother: Edna Walters of Ace, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Hicks

William L. 'Bill' Hicks, 71, of Dayton, died Wednesday, August 8, 2001, at the Kingwood Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, August 11, 2001, at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Rev. Jay Barnes Officiating and burial following at Linney cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Friday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Bill was born April 30, 1930 in Nashville, Arkansas, to parents: Charles G. Hicks and Ruby Mae Jackson Hicks, as has resided in the Dayton area since 1955. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a retired foreman for Brown and Root Marine at Greens Bayou after 22-1/2 years of service, a veteran of the US Army with service during the Korean Conflict and enjoyed playing golf and helping others.

Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his parents and wife: Yvonne Tabb Hicks. Survivors include his daughter: Bernice Rowland and husband Doug of Huffman, sons: William C. Hicks of Dayton, and Andy Hicks and wife Kelly of Dayton, brothers: Claude Hicks of Nashville, AR, Denzil Hicks of Nashville, AR, Wayne Hicks of Texarkana, AR, and Tom Hicks of Hope, AR, sisters: Mary Gammil of Russellville, AR, Minnie Labarere of Heber Springs, AR, and Cindy Cochran of Wichita, KS, nine grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of usual floral remembrances the family request that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church at 106 S. Cleveland; Dayton, Texas 77535.

Pinchback

Louise D. Thiac Pinchback, 88, of Anahuac, died Sunday, August 5, 2001, at the Baycoast Medical Center in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, August 8, 2001, at the First United Methodist Church in Anahuac with Rev. Wayne Hargraves officiating and burial following at Anahuac cemetery in Anahuac. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Tuesday at he funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

Louise was born October 7, 1912 in Beaumont to parents; Walter J. Thiac and Lilly M. Montz Thiac, a former resident of the Dayton-Liberty area; she has resided in the Anahuac area for the past 54 years. She was a homemaker, member of the First United Methodist Church in Anahuac, graduate of St. Anthony's High School class of 1930 in Beaumont, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and playing 88 and golf.

Mrs. Pinchback was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Lillian Broussard.

Survivors include he husband of 67 and a half years: R. T. 'Pinch' Pinchback, Jr. of Anahuac, daughter: Dorothy Davis and husband Guy of Lufkin, son: R. T. 'Tom' Pinchback, III and wife Pat of Woodlands, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one niece, one nephew, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of usual floral remembrances the family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Louise's name to P. O. Box 609; 204 Trinity, Anahuac, Texas 77514.
