Lauersdorf

Carl Hutton Lauersdorf, 18, of Tarkington Prairie, near Cleveland, Texas died Saturday, July 7, 2001 as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident on Sunday, July 1, 2001.

Carl was active in the Tarkington High School Beta Club, the Band, Varsity Tennis Team, FFA and 4-H showing lambs and goats statewide. He was a youth representative on the Administrative Board at the First United Methodist Church of Cleveland and a member of MYF. He was a show car exhibitor and enjoyed fishing and off road bike riding.

He is survived by parents; Jay and Bethany Lauersdorf, Grandfather; Oscar Donell Spearman: brother; Greg Lauersdorf, sister: Cheryl Dabney and husband Keith of Baytown, brother; Doug Lauersdorf and wife Holli of Pearland, sister-in-law; Mary Parsons of Garland numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, July 11, 2001 and the First Baptist Church of Cleveland. Interment will be at 2 PM on Friday, July 13, 2001 in Spearman, Texas. In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to the Carl Lauersdorf Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Kenneth Riggs at Prosperity Bank of Cleveland, 104 W. Crockett, Cleveland, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, TX.

Killingsworth

Zelma L. Killingsworth, 80, of Liberty, died Friday, July 6, 2001 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, July 9, 2001, at the Allison Funeral service chapel in Liberty with Rev. Jim Clemmons officiating and burial following at Fairlawn Memorial Park in Liberty. Visitation will be held from 5 PM t0 9 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.

Zelma was born January 30, 1921 in Liberty County to parents; Elmer Ratcliff and Alice Tanner Ratcliff a former resident o Hull-Daisetta, and has resided in the Liberty area for the past 29 years. She was a homemaker, member of the First Baptist Church of Liberty, and a graduate of the Liberty High School class of 1/38. She enjoyed reading the Beaumont Enterprise daily, flower gardening, babysitting, baking pies for Layle's Cafe and will be remembered as a loving and forgiving person.

Mrs. Killingsworth was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Willie J. Swan, and son-in-law; Alvin L. Bodin, Sr.

Survivors include her daughters: Charlotte Sue Bodin of Missouri City, Jeanette Noble and husband Jimmie of Liberty, and Rhonda Ainsworth and husband Harry Lee of Hardin, brother: Elmer ‘Sonny’ Ratcliff of Powell, WY, 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, three nieces, one nephew and numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of usual floral remembrances the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at NCICFUL, P O Box 1024554, Atlanta, Georgia 30368-2454.

Franklin

Marvin D. Franklin, Sr., 69 of Cleveland, died Friday, July 6, 2001 at home after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be 9:00 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2001 at Oak Shade cemetery in Cleveland, Texas under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. He is survived by son: Marvin D. “Bo” Franklin, Jr. and wife Paula; Daughters: Dianna Wellman and husband L. E., Linda Ludwig and husband Ted and Brenda Barlow; Brother: Glen Franklin; Sisters: Ruby McCauley and Ruth Vann; 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Fondon

Jane R. Blanchard Fondon, 55, of Liberty, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at the M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 PM, Friday, July 6, 2001, at the Our Lady of Light Catholic Church with Father Louis Villarreal officiating and burial following at Anahuac cemetery. Pallbearers will be Duane Blanchard, Kyle Northcutt, Kurt Blanchard, Brent Hylton, Stewart Fondon and Steven Blanchard, with honorary pallbearers: Eric Hopper, Brent Blanchard, Tracey Franta and Kendall Blanchard. Visitation will be held form 5 PM to 9 PM, Thursday, with a rosary service at 7 PM, at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Anahuac. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac.

Jane was born March 18, 1946 in Welsh, LA, to parents; Aza Blanchard and Celise LeJeune Blanchard, a former resident of Baytown and Crosby, she has resided in the Liberty area for the past 18 years. She was a homemaker, member of Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, graduate of the Anahuac High School class of 1965, and enjoyed fishing, playing volleyball, tennis and cards. Mrs. Fondon was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Robert R. Blanchard.

Survivors include her husband: Larry Fondon of Liberty, Daughters: Dena Lynn Barham of Highlands, Lisa Doyal of Liberty, and Tammy Lilly of Conroe, sisters: Lillian Johnson of Welsh, LA, Aline Brown of Vinton, LA, Jeanette Morgan of Hueytown, AL, Norma Jean Northcutt of Hankamer, and Hilda Phillips of Baytown, brothers: James Blanchard of Hardin, Henry Lee Blanchard of Hankamer, and Roland Blanchard of Fannett, six grandchildren: Bradly, Lauren, Ashley, Sara, Brittany and Kayli and numerous nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends.

In lieu of usual floral remembrances the family requests that donations be sent to the M. D. Anderson Hospital Cancer Research Fund at 1515 Holcomb Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030.

Robinett

Betty Jo Robinett, 64, of Raywood, passed away Monday, July 2, 2001 at the Magnolia Place Nursing Home in Liberty. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, July 6, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with the Rev. V. R. Hylton officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale cemetery in Daisetta, Texas.

She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. A native of Conroe, TX, she was a longtime resident of Raywood and a member of the First Baptist church of Devers. Betty was born November 18, 1936 in Conroe, Texas to John and Bertie Morse. She is preceded in death by her parents; Brothers: John Russell Morse and Roland (Pod) Morse; Sisters: Willie Mae Jannise and Ethel Morse.

She is survived by her husband: Floyd Robbing of Raywood; Son: Dell Robinett and his wife Brenda; Daughters: Shirley Perew and her husband David and Cindy Robinett; Sisters: Blanche Mangum and her husband Elvy, Bernice (Blondie) LaFour and her husband Jesse, and Lola Fregia and her husband Weldon; Sister-in-law: Betty Morse and Lola Mae Morse: Grandchildren: Laconda Fregia and her husband Howard, Mitchell Robinett, Michael Pavliska, C. J. Pavliska, Brandon Perew, and Dane Melancon: Great-Grandchildren: Brittany and Brindalyn Fregia and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Pilcher

Emma Mozelle Pilcher, 86, of Liberty, Died Monday July 2, 2001 at her residence.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 5, 2001 at Cooke Memorial cemetery in Liberty, with Rev. Mark Payne officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 4, 2001 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pilcher was a native of Gilmer, Texas and formerly of Odessa, Texas. She had been a resident of Liberty since 1994. She was a seamstress and a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, fishing and camping.

Mrs. Pilcher is survived by her Husband: Curtis A. Pilcher of Liberty; Son: James C. Pilcher of Liberty; Daughters: JoAnn Harp of Reviere, MA and Emma McEachern of Houston; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Davis

Allen Lionel Davis, 73, of Liberty, died Monday, July 2, 2001 at Golden charm Nursing Home in Liberty.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, July 5, 2001 at Allison Funeral Service in Liberty, with Rev. Paul Labonte officiating. Interment will follow at Worthy-Hylton cemetery in Moss Bluff, Texas. Visitation will be July 4, 2001 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis was a lifelong native of Liberty, Texas. He was a retired carpenter from Texas Gulf Sulfur. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Son: Rex Davis & Brother: Kenneth Davis.

Allen is survived by his wife: Eva Lou Davis of Liberty; Son: Roger Davis of Liberty; Daughters: Donna Tacy of LaPorte; & Gloria Turner of Anahuac; Brother: Willie Ray Davis of Liberty; 6 Grandchildren: Raymond Tacy, Stephanie Tacy, Chris Turner, Meredith Turner, Stanley Davis & wife Mary, and Aleshia Villarea & husband Chris; 2 Great-grandchildren: Dustin Davis and Alanis Davis. Numerous Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.

Dudley

Deborah Kay “Debbie” Dudley, 52, of Hull, died Sunday July 1, 2001 in Cleveland.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm, Thursday, July 5, 2001 at Allison Funeral Service in Liberty, with Rev. Lonnie Jordan and Rev. Harold Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Hardin Chapel cemetery in Hardin, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 3, 2001 form 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dudley was a lifelong native of Liberty, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of Daisetta, United Pentecostal Church. Debbie enjoyed flowers and spending time with animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Johnny Dudley Sr.

Debbie is survived by her Sons: Vernon Alberson of Hull, and Bruce Alberson & wife Amanda of Hardin; Stepson: Johnny Dudley, Jr. of Dayton and Stepdaughter: Kelly Dudley of Dayton; Brother: Burnard Craig Jr. & wife Betty of Hardin; Parents: Burnard L. Craig Sr. & Mary Rosetta McMurtry Craig of Hull. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Ripkowski

Naomi J. Mifflin Ripkowski, 75, of Dayton, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at the Texas Christian Care Center in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Blackburn officiating and burial following at Palms Memorial Park cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Monday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Naomi was born August 12, 1925 in Daisetta, to parents: Cecil G. Mifflin and Myrtle Razer Mifflin, and has resided in the Dayton area throughout her lifetime. She was a homemaker, was previously a Produce Manager for Safeway, and helped her husband August operate a Texaco Service Station for 15 years. She was a graduate of the High Island High school, member of the Trinity Baptist Church, and enjoyed reading non-fiction and biographies and flower gardening.

Mrs. Ripkowski was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years: August Ripkowski and on brother: Harold Mifflin. Survivors include her son: Ron Ripkowski and wife Debbie of Wichita Falls, two grandchildren: Kevin and Kelly Ripkowski of Wichita Falls, three sisters: Lillie Flowers of Dayton, Georgia Daniels of Dayton and Frances Turner of Conroe, two brothers: James Mifflin of Dayton and Carlton Mifflin of Dayton, and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Joseph

Christopher Sterling Joseph, age 29, of Cove, died Friday, April 13, 2001, in Old River/Winfree. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, April 16, 2001, at the Old River Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Biddy officiating and burial following at Cedar Crest cemetery in Baytown. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 9 pm, Sunday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.

Chris was born October 6, 1971, at the Gulf Coast Hospital in Baytown to parents; C.T. 'Butch' Joseph, III and Mary Ellen Thomas Joseph, and has resided in the Cove area throughout his lifetime. He was an operator in construction, member of the First Baptist Church of Mont Belvieu, graduate of the Barbers Hill High School Class of 1990, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and farming.

Mr. Joseph was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Lola Joseph. survivors include his wife of six years: Cristi Martin Joseph, daughter: Emily L. Joseph, parents: C.T. 'Butch' Joseph, III and Mary Ellen Joseph, brothers: Corey and Joel Joseph, sister: Angela Merritt and husband John, nephew: Landon Joseph, paternal grandfather: Charles T. joseph, Jr., maternal grandparents: Joe and Georgia Thomas, father and mother-in-law: Eugene and Darlene Martin all of cove, sisters-in-law: Susan Martin of Cove and Lynn Fisher and husband Brian of Mont Belvieu, brother-in-law: Beau Martin of Cove, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Mark McMillan

Mark McMillan, 49, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 9, 2001 at his residence. He was born in Galveston, had previously lived in Deer Park for three years before moving to Cleveland one year ago and was a U. S. Army Veteran. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 12, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Rev. Denis McMillan and Mr. Larry McMillan officiating. Burial will follow at the Plum Grover cemetery in Plum Grover under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

He is survived by his Parents: Lawrence and Virginia McMillan of Springfield, Missouri; children: Keeton, Kerri, Megan, Amber, Amanda and Shandra; Brothers: Larry McMillan and his wife Helen of Cleveland and Denis McMillan and his wife Kay of Springfield, Missouri; 2 Grandchildren; 2 nieces; 2 Nephews: Special Friend: Wanda Hales of Cleveland and Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Visitation will begin at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil funeral Home in Dayton.
