PITTSBURG - Services for Ray Caster, 59, of Pittsburg will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Jamie Duncan officiating. Cremation will follow. Mr. Caster, a Baptist and a former Merchant Marine, died Thursday at a Tyler hospital. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart and Lung Association.

Ronald Keith Craig
Services for Ronald Craig, 41, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Funeral Chapel, 2001 S. Green, with Brother Danny E. Craig Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Jordan Valley Memorial Park under the direction of Craig Funeral Home. Survivors include his parents, Lonnie and Willie Craig; sister, Danita Craig; brothers, Danny E. Craig Sr. and Billy Wayne Craig; grandmother, Jarusha Hutchins; and nephews, Danny Jr., Michael and Dexter.

Shelby McCall Fierro
PITTSBURG - Graveside services for Shelby McCall Fierro, daughter of Jessica and Jorge Fierro of Mount Pleasant, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Leesburg cemetery with the Rev. Keith Blankenship officiating. Shelby was born Tuesday in Mount Pleasant. She died Wednesday in Dallas. Other survivors include a brother, Hunter Lane Fierro, and grandparents Jamie and Maria Fierro.

Benny Alvin Freeman
GLADEWATER - Services for Benny Alvin Freeman, 65, of Tyler will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Temple C.O.G.I.C., 1914 Garden Valley Road in Tyler, with Bishop J.E. Lee officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park under the direction of Dearion & Davis Funeral Parlor of Gladewater. Mr. Freeman died Sunday in a Tyler hospital. Survivors include his wife, B. Naomi Lee Freeman, and a daughter and son-in-law, LaQueta and Superintendent Melton Timmons. Viewing will be noon-8:30 p.m. today at the Community Funeral Home, 1429 N. Border Ave., in Tyler.

George Allen Good
GLADEWATER - Graveside services for George Allen Good, 66, of Gladewater will be held at 2 p.m. today, May 22, at Gladewater Memorial Park with the Rev. Terrill Pearson officiating. Arrangements are by Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater. Mr. Good died Thursday, May 21, 1998. Mr. Good was born March 17, 1932, in Georgetown, Ark., and had lived in Upshur County for more than 20 years. He retired from the J.O. Williams Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean O. Wells Good, and son George Bradley Good. Mr. Good is survived by son Timothy Wayne Good of Palestine; two daughters, Evelyn Marie Good of Tatum and Angie Elizabeth Good Hill of Longview; two grandchildren, Rebecca Crystal Marie Good and Richard Allen Hill; two brothers, Carl Good of Longview and Eugene Good of Midland; and two sisters, Mary Good Carter of Gilmer and Margaret Good Clark of Laneville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice Longview. The family will receive friends at the family residence, 705 Rodeo, in Gladewater.

HENDERSON - Services for John Douglas Lowe Jr., 69, of McAllen, formerly of Henderson, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bryan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Lindstrom officiating. Burial will be in Laneville cemetery. Services in McAllen were held Thursday. Mr. Lowe, a rancher, died Wednesday in McAllen. Visitation is 8 p.m. Saturday at Bryan Funeral Home.

Leora Sue McMichael
NACOGDOCHES - Leora Sue McMichael, a devoted wife and beloved mother, departed this life on May 20, 1998, at Nacogdoches Medical Center. A true matriarch, she devoted her life to her family. She was born on April 14, 1925, to Rufus and Zeline Porter, who preceded her in death. She accepted Christ at an early age while growing up in Lufkin, Texas. At the time of her death, she was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She married Clarence "Bo" McMichael 50 years ago, and from this union they reared five children. During the month of February 1998 they renewed their vows. Sue is survived by a husband, Clarence 'Bo' McMichael Sr., and her children, Jackie Session and husband, Chester, of Nacogdoches, Mona Ervin of Longview, Gerrie Flowers and husband, Wayne, of Houston, Sue McGown and husband, Lonnie, of Houston, and Clarence McMichael Jr. and wife, Beverly, of Nacogdoches. She also leaves 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Alto McGowan, and his wife, Georgia, of Dallas; special friends, William and Doris Powell of Huntsville and Doris Yarbrough of Nacogdoches; and a host of other relatives and friends. Sue was a graduate of Dunbar High School in Lufkin, Texas. Her undergraduate college studies began at Prairie View A&M; University and were completed at Wiley College in Marshall. Additional post-graduate studies included Stephen F. Austin State University and Prairie View A&M; University. She served as a master teacher in the Nacogdoches Independent School District for 30 years. She was an active member of the Mount Street Benevolence Club, City Library Heritage Society, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Medical Center Volunteers, Top Ladies of Distinction, Retired Teachers Association and Ladies' Guild at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at Sid Roberts Funeral Home 6-8 p.m. today, May 22. Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2508 Appleby Sand Road. Donations may be made to Nacogdoches Medical Center Volunteers for Scholarships to Stephen F. Austin's Nursing Program.

Funeral services for Lucille Hills Baker, 92, of West Columbia, Texas, will be held at 1 p.m. today in the Arlington Heights Christian Church in Fort Worth with the Rev. James Morgan officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth under the direction of Greenwood Funeral Home. Local arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Baker died Thursday, May 21, 1998, in a Longview hopsital. She was born Sept. 25, 1905, in Fort Atkinson, Wis., and had been a resident of West Columbia for the past 11 years. She was retired from the Veteran's Administration, where she was a secretary. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Baker, and daughter Lois Nelson. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy and Robert M. Henley of Fort Worth and Doradel Wylie of West Columbia; grandchildren, Robyn Padgett, Robert D. and Ronald M. Henley, Vikki L. Morton, Valerie R. Monnat, David, Anthony, Scott and Shawn Nelson and Leslie L. Richardson; and 23 great-grand- children. Memorials may be made to the local humane society.

Helen Laverne Gideon
GLADEWATER - Graveside services for Helen Laverne Gideon, 80, of Big Sandy were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Gladewater Memorial Park with the Rev. David Havir officiating. Arrangements were by Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater. Mrs. Gideon, a Worldwide Church of God member and a retired bookkeeper, died Tuesday. She, as a riveter, helped build airplanes during World War II.

Helen M. Jones
Funeral services for Helen M. Jones, 85, of Longview will be held at 4 p.m. today, May 23, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Park cemetery. Mrs. Jones died Friday, May 22, 1998, in a local hospital. Born May 7, 1913, in New York, she was a longtime Longview resident. She worked for and retired from the Social Security Administration offices in Longview. Mrs. Jones was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and the Thelma Morgan Sunday School Class. She was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the American Business Women's Association. Her husband, Leon Jones, preceded her in death in 1982. She is survived by her special friends, D.A. Benton, Gwen Stock and Reba and Loye Alvis.

Raymond Lee Pense
Funeral services for Raymond Lee Pense, 74, of Ore City will be held at 2 p.m. today, May 23, at the New Hope Baptist Church in Ore City. Arrangements are under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Pense died Friday, May 22, at a local hospital. Mr. Pense was born in Fayetteville, Ark., on Sept. 19, 1923. He retired as a meat inspector for the U.S. Government and was a longtime member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Ore City. He also served in the Armed Forces. Mr. Pense married Neoma Rains on Oct. 17, 1978, in New Mexico. Surviving Mr. Pense are his wife, Neoma; daughters, Sharon Firmin, Karon Sheppard and Shelia Guardmal; sons, Jeffery Windle, Leonard Bollingham and Bruce Bollingham; daughter, Barbara McComas; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens following the memorial service.

Mr. Arnold was born in Longview on July 1, 1953, and died in his home May 22, 1998. He is survived by his son, Randy Arnold; grandson, Bryce; four brothers and their wives, Wayne and Gayle, S.H. (Jr.) and Verna, Tom and Martha, and Larry Arnold; four sisters and their husbands, Clara (Sis) and Frank Negri, Helen and Ken Trantham, Linda and Ken Cunningham, and Francy McClenny; and sister-in-law, Betty Arnold; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Clara Arnold, and brother, James Arnold. Visitation will be held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
