Raymond Lanier Fletcher

Services for Raymond Lanier Fletcher, 80, of Palestine, will be at 3 p.m. today at Fields Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Dub Davis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mr. Fletcher died Friday morning at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 10, 1921 in Anderson County to Albert Franks and Mindie Langston Fletcher.

Mr. Fletcher was a self-employed mechanic and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Mae Beasley Fletcher, in 1958; and infant son, Stanley Mark Fletcher, in 1958; a son, Raymond Earl Fletcher; three brothers, Otis Frank Fletcher, Melton Fletcher and Andrew Fletcher.

He is survived by sons, Jimmy Fletcher, Danny Fletcher, and Terry Fletcher, all of Palestine; sister, Nellie Batton of Rayne, La.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Fletcher, Mark Fletcher, Todd Fletcher, Donnie Larkin, Clifton Fletcher and William Fletcher.

Kian Criss  Washington

Services for Kian Criss  Washington, 90, of Fort Worth and formerly of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hezekiah Stallworth officiating. Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery in Elkhart under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.

Mrs.  Washington died Thursday at Diagnostic Memorial Hospital in Houston.
She was born June 23, 1911 in Palestine to Timothy and Dora Hubbard Criss.
Mrs.  Washington was baptized at Buelah Baptist Church and attended Mount Moriah School. After moving to Fort Worth she joined St. James Baptist Church.

She was a missionary. She cared for many children and adults in her home.
Mrs.  Washington was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, her husband, and a daughter.

She is survived by sisters, Mattie Williams of Palestine and Dora Deckard of Houston; three grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

Active pallbearers will be Camille Davidson Jr., Warren Deckard Jr., Floyd Reed Jr., Lawrence Reed, Tim Reed and Lawrence Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Beulah Baptist Church.

Willie Mae Goodson

Services for Willie Mae Goodson, 93, of Palestine, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with David Braun officiating. Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery.

Mrs. Goodson died Friday in Palestine Healthcare Center.

She was born July 12, 1908 in Slocum to George Furman Raines and Alta Andrews Raines.

Mrs. Goodson was a member of the Court Drive Church of Christ and before retiring had worked for a number of years at the Jacksonville Eastside Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rudolph Goodson; sisters, Ruth McDaniel and Edith Wright; and brother, T.E. Raines.

Mrs. Goodson is survived by a daughter, Mary Frances Kelley of Palestine; sister, Ruby Fay Vickery of Palestine; and brother, Glenn Raines of Palestine.

Pallbearers will be Mike Stewart, J.L. Parkman, Ken Brewer, Larry Hurbough, Danny Allison and Dale Sparks.

Condolence calls will be received from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Livingston

Services for Mary Livingston, 36, of Tennessee Colony will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Barry Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Tennessee Colony Cemetery.
Mrs. Livingston died Thursday afternoon in Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
She was born Feb. 17, 1966 in Edina, Minn. to Kenneth F. Leonard and Donna Mae Guider Leonard.
Mrs. Livingston was involved in several Cayuga High School clubs and organizations. She had been employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 14 years and at the time of her death, she was on sick leave from her job as Postmaster in Streetman.
She is survived by her parents of Tennessee Colony; her husband, David Livingston of Tennessee Colony; son, Marc Livingston of Tennessee Colony; sisters, Cary Wasinger and Katie Oates, both of McKinney, and Sherry Lepacik of Joliet, Ill.; and a brother, K.P. Leonard.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Rainey and members of Cayuga High School.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

M.C. McCracken

Services for M.C. McCracken, 75, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Joe Moree officiating. Burial will be in Piney Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mr. McCracken died Thursday after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Anderson County on June 8, 1927. He was reared and educated in Flint Hill. He was a retired logger and member of McDonald Church of God in Christ.
He is survived by sons, Kenneth McCracken and Paul E. McCracken, both of Dallas; daughters, Shelia Gray and Vickey McCracken, both of Palestine; and brother, L.C. McCracken of Compton,  Calif.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Barrett, Billy Ray Barrett, Edward Barrett, James Hudson, Micahel  Johnson and Tommy Swans.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Faye Henderson

Services for Faye Henderson, 85, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rock Church Cemetery in Blackfoot with the Rev. Jason Fielder officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory.
Mrs. Henderson died Monday at Dogwood Trails Advanced Healthcare.
She was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Anderson County to George and Ina Fraim Gage.
Mrs. Henderson had lived in Anderson County all of her life. She was a member of Memorial Christian Church. She had worked many years at the Industrial Garment factory and later at Crawford’s Record Store and Drug Save.
She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3907.
Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husbands, Odie Henry and Carroll Henderson; and son, Kenneth Wayne Henry.
She is survived by sons, Glenn Henry of Blackfoot and James Henry of Neches; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jose P. Vela Jr.

Services for Jose P. Vela Jr., 79, of Ricardo, were scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home Chapel in Kingsville with the Rev. Arnulfo Villarreal officiating. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Mr. Vela died Nov. 26 in a Ricardo hospital.
He is survived by sons, Ramon Vela of Palestine and Omar Vela of Kingsville; daughters, Blanca Esparza of Palestine, Maria Elena Barrietos and Rebecca Arrollo, both of Kingsville, Rachel Vela of Dallas, Gloria Schmitz of Roseville,  Calif. and Nelda Villafuerte of San Jose,  Calif.; brother, Israel Vela of Ricardo; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held Monday night at the funeral home.

Hardy Phillip Huenerberg

Services for Hardy Phillip Huenerberg, 82, of Flynn, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. W.C. Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park.
Mr. Huenerberg died Sunday morning at his residence.
He was born March 27, 1970, in Plantersville to Adolph Henry Huenerberg and Emma Ethel Botkin Huenerberg.
Mr. Huenerberg was a former resident of the Westfield/Spring area for 51 years and also formerly lived in Palestine.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ellen Huenerberg.
Mr. Huenerberg is survived by daughters, Ginger Cook and Sue Kindred of Grapeland, Madeleine Martin of Flynn, Janette Hranitzky of Yakum, Phyllis Shirey of Palestine and LaVeeen Tatum of Tomball; sons, Kenneth Meeks of Ramsey, Minn. and Jerry Huenerberg of Humble; sister, Fay McKissack of Spring; 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Pickle, Cliff Martin, Lane Cook, Bill Kindred, Dustin Shirey and Jay Miller.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Rev. Raymond Jehu Glenn

Services for the Rev. Raymond Jehu Glenn, 67, of Grapeland, will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sons of the Kingdom Church with the Rev. John McKenna officiating. Burial will follow in the Sons of the Kingdom Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Grapeland.
The Rev. Glenn died Sunday at his residence.
He was born April 1, 1935, in Bastrop County to Frank H. and Lola May Allen Glenn.
The Rev. Glenn was pastor and founder of the Sons of the Kingdom Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, J.W. Glenn and Frank Glenn.
The Rev. Glenn is survived by his wife, Paulette Rebekah Glenn of Grapeland; daughters, Rachel Glenn, Michalle Wing and Shekinah Glenn, all of Grapeland; sisters, Faye Brown and Doris Allen, both of Houston; and four grandchildren.
Condolence calls will be received from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the Sons of the Kingdom Church.

Lawrence Crawford

Funeral arrangements for Lawrence Crawford, 82, of Palestine, are pending at Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Crawford died this morning at East  Texas Medical Center in Jacksonville.

Ann Woolverton

Services for Anna Kate Woolverton, 84, of Palestine, was scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel with the Rev. Jason Bryant officiating. Burial was to follow at Tennessee Colony Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mrs. Woolverton died Saturday at Cartmell Home for Aged.
She was born Nov. 20, 1918, in Palestine to Henry Link and Grace Wilburn Valentine.
Mrs. Woolverton lived in Palestine her entire life. She was a life member of North  Jackson Baptist Church. She retired from East  Texas National Bank in 1983 after 32 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill F. Woolverton, on Dec. 7, 1994.
Mrs. Woolverton is survived by sons, Jack F. Woolverton of Dallas and Lacy L. Spears of Sugarland; sisters, Eloise Constantine of Reedley,  Calif. and Jean Hart of Palestine; brother, Bill Valentine of Houston; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lane Spears, Kevin Logan, Don Woolverton, Buddy Butler, Mike Hart and Mark Hart.

Berness Collier

Services for Berness Collier, 81, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at South Union Baptist Church with the Rev. James Busby officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Palestine.
Mr. Collier died Wednesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 20, 1921 in Troup to Andrew and Annie Holmes Collier.
Mr. Collier retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 31 years of service. He was reared in Palestine and graduated from Lincoln High School.

Mr. Collier was a member of South Union Baptist Church and served as financial secretary of the Sunday School and was a member of the church Brotherhood.
He served in the armed forces during World War II and was honorably discharged.

Mr. Collier is survived by a brother, Robert Vernell Collier of Palestine; sisters, Katie Butler and Geneva Leveston, both of Palestine, and Darene  Johnson of Augusta, Ga.; children, Lisa Mosley of Oregon, James Lewis of Palestine, Tommy E. Arthur of Colorado Springs,  Colo., Stephanie D. Hatten of Palestine, Edwin B. Arthur of Redlands,  Calif., and Sonya D. Bartlett of Miami, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Robert W. Collier, Byron A. Asberry, Norman Casey, Jesse Gray, Stacey Brisco, Johnathan Deckard and DeMetrick Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Sunday School Class XII and friends.

Michael Ray Wells

Services for Michael Ray Wells, 55, of Fairfield, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Capps Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Suits officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Wells died Saturday at his home.
He was born Nov. 28, 1947 in Dallas.
Mr. Wells was employed as an offshore driller and was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Monday Wells.

Mr. Wells is survived by include his father, Claude Ray Wells of Fairfield; wife, Margaret DeLeon Wells of Fairfield; daughter, Jennifer Wells of Fairfield; adopted daughter, Summer Knight of Gilmer; stepdaughter, Mary Bresnahan of Fairfield; son, Matthew Wells of Fairfield; stepson, Paul Sacksteder of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Sharon Thornbrough of Fairfield; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Vannatter, Philip Shaw, Charles Bradley, Jesse Bean, Tony Hickson, and Brian Gilmore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Monday and Tee Burleson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
