Lucille Woolverton
Services for Lucille Woolverton, 85, of Tennessee Colony, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Tennessee Colony Church with the Rev. Ken Dodson and Ron Britton officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee Colony Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Woolverton died this morning at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 8, 1917 in Palestine to William Mase and Iva Scarbrough Hudson.
Mrs. Woolverton was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Tennessee Colony Christian Church, past matron of the Tennessee Colony Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Fort Houston Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and served as treasurer of the Tennessee Colony Cemetery Association for 30 years.
Mrs. Woolverton was preceded in death by her husband, Claude P. Woolverton, in 1980; son, Dan Perry “Pip” Woolverton; brothers Fagan R. Hudson and George W. Hudson.
She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Woolverton of Tennessee Colony; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Cam Woolverton Jr., Ben Gary Woolverton, George Massey, James Milligan, Henry Paul Woolverton and Hubert Massey.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mack Hudson.
Condolence calls will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

C.T. Hooper
Services for C.T. Hooper, 73, of Elkhart, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Strong Memorial Park Cemetery with Perry Jones officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Hooper died Tuesday at Cartmell Home for Aged.
He was born Nov. 23, 1928 in Elkhart to George Hooper and Mary Knight.
Mr. Hooper was a truck driver.
He served in the National Guard and was the owner of Circle C Motors.
Mr. Hooper was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Hooper; and son, Terry Hooper.
He is survived by a daughter, Karri Ann Schmidt of Elkhart; sons, Gary Hooper, Larry Hooper and Barry Hooper, all of Elkhart; sister, Mary Linda Bunch of Palestine; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.
Nettie Woodard Penland
Services for Nettie Woodard Penland, 93, of Buffalo, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home in Buffalo. Burial will be in Lummus Cemetery in Buffalo under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, Buffalo.
Mrs. Penland died Monday at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield.
She was born March 31, 1909.
Mrs. Penland was a homemaker and a Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Mrs. Penland is survived by her daughter, Vergie Marene LaFoy of Dallas; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Doug Woods, Willie Woods, Dennis Sandoval, Robert LaFoy, Wendell Legalley and Jeremy Legalley.
Carlena McLemore
Funeral arrangements for Carlena McLemore, 59, of Palestine, are pending at Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. McLemore died Wednesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
Jimmy D. Mauldin
Services for Jimmy D. Mauldin, 66, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Gardner, Robert L. White, Melton Timmons and Clif W. Bowser officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Mauldin died June 29.
He was born Dec. 7, 1935, in Kilgore to Burl and Queen Esther Hicks Mauldin.
Mr. Mauldin graduated from Weldon High School in Gladewater in 1954 and served in the U.S. Navy Hospital Corps from 1956 to 1959.
In 1970, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas College in Tyler. He was employed as a teacher and coach at Westwood ISD, Forest Brook ISD, Tyler ISD, and retired from Fort Worth ISD in 1996.
He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where he served as Sunday school superintendent, member of the men’s choir and the brotherhood union.
Mr. Mauldin is survived by his wife of 41 years, Aubrey J. Austin Mauldin; son, Marcus M. Mauldin of Fort Worth; and sister, Wanza Carter of Dallas.
Active pallbearers will be John Askew, Joe Bowser, Rodney Currie, Travis Evans, Rodney Givens, Lawrence Hutchinson, Gregory Newby and Lewis Ritcherson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Pilgrim Rest Men’s Choir, friends and former co-workers.
The family will receive condolence calls from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Arthur Sepulveda
Services for Arthur Sepulveda, 63, of Palestine, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Revs. Zacharias Kunnakkattuthara and Alvaro Jimenez officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Zacharias Kunnakkattuthara officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Sepulveda died Tuesday afternoon at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 3, 1938, in Luling to Julian Arellano Sepulveda and Eulalia Escareno-Zapata Sepulveda.
Mr. Sepulveda was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a supervisor at the Vernon Calhoun Packing Plant.
He was preceded in death by son, Arty Sepulveda, in 1996; and his parents.
Mr. Sepulveda is survived by his wife, Janie Sepulveda of Palestine; son, Carlos Sepulveda of Palestine and Marcos Sepulveda of Leona; brother, Refugio Raymond Sepulveda of Austin; and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richard Silvester, Chris Neal, Mike Camacho Sr., Kenneth Riddle, Craig Lightcapp and Andelio Sardina.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clemente Flores, Grady Cole and members of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Sepulveda will lie in state from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Edward Dremond Ivey
Services for Edward Dremond Ivey, 67, of Crosby, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Felders Chapel with the Revs. Randy Shipman and Morris Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Ivey died Monday at Memorial Plaza Hospital in Port Lavaca.
He was born Nov. 25, 1934 in Grapeland to Earl and Reba Owens Ivey.
Mr. Ivey was a salesman. He graduated from Baylor University in 1957. He was the past master of Augusta Lodge No. 93 AF&AM and past president of the Rotary Club.
Mr. Ivey was preceded in death by his father, Earl Ivey.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ivey of Crosby; his mother, Reba Ivey of Grapeland; a son, Cliff Lane Ivey of Fort Smith, Ark.; brothers, Boyce Ray Ivey of Palestine and James Ivey of Orange; and two grandchildren.

Jessie Davis
Services for Jessie Davis, 77, of Ratcliff, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Baptist Church in Grapeland with the Revs. Thomas Willis and Sammie Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Gate Cemetery in Grapeland under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis died April 23 at East Texas Medical Center in Crockett.
He was born March 16, 1925 in Boston, Ga. to Rosevelt and Rosetta Curry Davis.
After living in Gainesville, Fla. he moved to Ratcliff.
Mr. Davis was a member of Tabernacle of Yahweh in Grapeland. He was a retired employee with Northcutt Woodworks in Crockett.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Davis and Willie Carson.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Beaulah Pearl Kizzee Davis of Ratcliff; daughters, Dianna K. Davis of Crockett and Barbara A. Polk of Palestine; sisters, Annie R. Sanford, Ruby Hopkins, Geneva Davis and Louise Scott, all of Thomasville, Ga. and Betty M. Raybon of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Arthur Sandford of Fort Myers, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be James McCoy, Jimmie McCoy, Joe McCoy, Homer Polk Sr., Homer Polk Jr., and James Polk.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and friends of the family.
Ricky Tarrant
Services for Ricky Tarrant, 37, of North Richland Hills will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Roselawn Park with the Rev. Beverly Tune officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Tarrant died Thursday at his home.
He was born Aug. 24, 1964 in Fort Worth to Mickey and Jo Alice Jensen Tarrant.
Mr. Tarrant was a member of the First Christian Church of Bethel. He was employed by Southwestern Bell in the maintenance department.
He is survived by his parents, Mickey and Jo Tarrant of Fort Worth; his grandparents, L.R. and Ruth Tarrant of Palestine and Clemmie Jensen of Athens; a sister, Donna Kraatz of Fort Worth.

Mary Frances Powell
Services for Mary Frances Powell, 76, of Palestine will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmtown Cemetery
Mrs. Powell died Monday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 24, 1926 in Montalba to Frank and Martha Wright Brittion.
Mrs. Powell was the owner of two restaurants over the years. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margaret Brittion Johnson; three brothers, Bob Brittion, John Brittion and Will Brittion.
Mrs. Powell is survived by her husband of 40 years, Norman H. Powell of Palestine; a sister-in-law, Zelma Freeman of Palestine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Fronie Ives
Services for Fronie Ives, 95, of Palestine, and formerly of Buffalo, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Kimberly Orr and Ron Rozelle officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park.
Mrs. Ives died Sunday in McKinney.
She was born July 16, 1910 in Palestine to T.W. and Ella Swann.
Mrs. Ives was a homemaker. She was a member of the Westwood United Methodist Church. She was a resident of Buffalo for 30 years before moving to Palestine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earnest Raymond Ives, in 1983; and a brother.
Mrs. Ives is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Janie Ives of McKinney; two grandchildren, Lesli Ives and Jeff Ives and wife Penny; two great-grandchildren, Zachery Ives and Noah Ives; a sister-in-law, Oneta Swann; and a niece, Vera Bledsoe.
Pallbearers will be James Ives, Harold Thornton, James “Butch” Collier, Jim Curry, Jeff Ives and Ron Rozelle. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Lightfoot.
