TAMANTHA WARSCHUN
DENTON — Tamantha Hamner Warschun, 22, of Sanger passed away Friday, July 27, 2001, in New Orleans.
She was born March 9, 1979, in Albuquerque, N.M. to Tom and Sonja Bensen Hamner. She married Walter Daniel Warschun in Denton on Sept. 25, 1999. She was employed as a receptionist at Huffines Chevrolet in Lewisville.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel of Sanger; her parents, Tom and Sonja Hamner of Sanger; sister, Sonja Goa of Stavanger, Norway; brothers, Tony Hamner of Stavanger and Timothy Hamner of Denton; and grandmother, Gudrun Rustad of Tonsberg, Norway.
Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall on Windsor Street in Denton with Elder Don Dyal officiating. Arrangements are by Mulkey-Mason Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home.
T.V. BRIDGES
T.V. Bridges, our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away quietly on July 28, 2001, in Heritage Nursing Home. He was 96 years old.
He was born on Dec. 3, 1904, to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bridges in Reagan, Texas. He moved to San Angelo in 1943. He was married to Leona Sweat Bridges. She preceded him in death.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are four sons, Dennis Bridges of San Angelo, F.M. Bridges of Riverside, Calif., T.V. Bridges Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Billy Earl Bridges of San Angelo; three daughters, Zelma Scruggs of San Angelo, Ruth Priest of Alexandria, Va., and Betty Blake of Colorado Springs; 53 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Starks Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the funeral home.
The family extends thanks to Heritage House and the staff of VistaCare Hospice.
SAN ANGELO — Wayne Ables, 68 of Big Lake, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Community Baptist Church with burial in Stiles Cemetery. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Ables of Big Lake; daughters, Debbie Harris of Victoria, Glenda Gray of Denver City and Jennifer Melde of Hamilton; brother, M.R. Ables of Lafayette, La; and sister, Vena Belle Allen of Big Lake.
SAN ANGELO — James “Jim” Richardson, 63, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at his residence. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Nell Richardson of San Angelo; children, Melissa of San Antonio, Michael Richardson of Florida and Timothy Richardson of Houston; mother, Mildred Richardson of Bloomfield, Ind.; and brothers, David Richardson and Jerry Richardson, both of Bloomfield.
KERMIT — Clitus Keedle, 84, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in a Denver City hospital. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Keedle of Kermit; daughter, Virginia Mae Thompson of Kermit; brother, Aljern Thomas Keedle of Indianapolis; and sister, Leona Timm of Holstein, Neb.
McCAMEY — Hazel Powell, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in a local nursing center. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
Survivors include sister, Birdie Mae Dozier of Robert Lee.
KERMIT — Phillip R. “Purr” Campbell, 46, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in a Lubbock hospital. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with burial in Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
Survivors include father, George M. Campbell of Lubbock; mother, Ardell M. Campbell of Kermit; son, Phillip R. Campbell II of Kermit; daughters, Kristin Campbell Dye of Fallon, Nev., and Page Clark of Lubbock; brothers, Rick Campbell of Wilcox, Neb., and Craig Campbell of Kermit; and sister, Denise Lundeen of Axtell, Neb.
COLORADO CITY — Florine Putman McMahan, 79, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Colorado City Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Norma McMahan of Colorado City; daughter, Linda Wallace of Colorado City; son, Elmer McMahan of Seminole; and sister, Chloe Marie Gilman of Colorado City.
GOLDTHWAITE — Robert Sumter Gerald, 79, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in a Bedford hospital. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with burial in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
ELDORADO — Rumaldo C. “Tito” Robledo, 65, of San Angelo died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, in a San Angelo nursing center. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial in Eldorado Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kerbow Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Blanco of San Angelo; son, Eulalio Guerra of San Angelo; daughters, Silvia Robledo and Anna Robledo, both of California, Anna Alicia Robledo, Lucia Guerra, Sandra Guerra and Mary Ramos, all of San Angelo and Mary Ann Padilla of Eldorado; sisters, Angie Moreno of Fort Worth and Manuela Bosman of Kerrville; and brothers, Candie Robledo of San Angelo and Reyes Robledo of Eldorado.
BALLINGER — Edna Hortense Morris, 89, of Quitman, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001, in a Quitman nursing home. Service will be at 2 p.m. today in Rains-Seale Funeral Chapel with burial in Old Runnels Cemetery in Ballinger.
Survivors include sons, Darrell W. Morris of Arlington and Richard A. Morris of LaGrange, Ky.; daughters, Joan Morgan of Quitman and Nita M. Derrick of Dublin; brothers, Chester Talley of California; and sisters, Juanita Godwin, Irmatha Haliburton and Odessa Norris, all of Ballinger.

LESTER A. WILLIAMS
Funeral service for Lester A. Williams, who went to be with our Lord Tuesday night, Oct. 16, 2001, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Portis Ribble will be conducting the service assisted by James Adams.
Lester was born near Eola, Texas, on March 8, 1936, to L.B. and Jane Williams. Lester graduated from Lake View High School in 1955. He married Nora O. Dillard on March 16, 1956. After serving in the Air Force from 1955 to 1959, they returned to San Angelo, making it their home. Lester was adventurous and enjoyed camping, motorcycling, flying as a private pilot, fishing, golf, woodworking, stock car driving, barbecuing and, in his younger years, western polo. He was a lifetime mechanic working at various businesses in San Angelo, including his own. He also taught small engine repair at San Angelo Central High School in the late 1960s.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Nora; daughters, Louise Woods of Loganville, Ga., and Janet Lenox and her husband, John, of Las Vegas; two grandsons, Erik Mikealson and Adam Lenoz; mother, Jane Williams of Midland; brothers, Marvin Williams and wife, Cathy, of Mesa, Ariz., and Norman Williams and his wife, Judith, of Midland; sister, Debi Long and her husband, Jim, of Leola, Pa.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be James Adams, Rick Smith, Buster York, Mark Horner, Jim McEachern, Gene Baxter, Jimmy Gilmore and Mickey Walraven. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or to a charity of choice.
The family would like to thank Shannon Medical Center and their staff and Dr. Anderton and his staff for their care and kindness.
He will be missed by all that had the joy of knowing him.

BETTY LOU CRIMM
Betty Lou Cothran Crimm, 73, of San Angelo died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in San Angelo Community Medical Center.
Service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Buddy Trull officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Betty was born July 24, 1928, in Runnels County, Texas, to Hubert Edgar and Susie M. Cothran. She was a resident of San Angelo since 1954 and was a hairdresser.
Betty was married to L.D. “Dick” Crimm on July 24, 1954, in Ballinger, Texas. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1996. Her parents; one grandson, Joel Vernon Byrd; one great-grandson, Joel Zachary Byrd; two brothers; and one sister also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Kay Byrd of San Angelo; her son, Michael Dee Crimm of San Angelo; one grandson, Jeffrey Byrd and wife, Marlo, of Amarillo; four great-grandchildren, Austin and Rees Byrd, and Jessica and Jennifer Crimm; two brothers, Lawrence Cothran of Dallas and Doyle Cothran of Klamath Falls, Ore.; three sisters, Pauline Fletcher of Ballinger, Juanita Ward of Shreveport, La., and Sue Hughes of Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Roy Ashley, Clifford Ashley, Richey Whitworth, Shane Crimm, M.J. Cole, Wayne Cole, Benny Hughes and Butch Crimm.
LESLIE HARRIS
Leslie Harris was born Feb. 17, 1917, the forth of seven children to Frank L. Harris and Mamie J. Stickles in Afton, Chenango County, N.Y. He passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2001.
He is survived by his oldest brother, Clifford of Afton, N.Y.; the only daughter of his marriage to Loraine Whitacker, Herscha Harris Leon of Wesley Chapel, Fla., with one grandson, three granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren; and the sons of his marriage to Gladys Jane Seelig-French on Dec. 9, 1943, James L. of Midland, Allan W. of Spring Branch and Ross E. of San Angelo, with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Leslie moved his family to Midland in 1948 and was building superintendent in the construction of many churches, municipal and commercial buildings in West Texas for Armco Steel Buildings, Jewel Russell Construction Co., and Houston Hill Construction Co., all of Midland, and Shirley Smith’s Oasis Builders of Kermit.
In retirement, he and his late wife, Gladys, enjoyed RVing for 13 years by spending their time and acquiring lasting friendships at their adopted homes of Fun Valley RV park of Southfork, Colo., In the summers and Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park of Fredericksburg, Texas, in the winters.
Graveside service was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, in Fairmount Cemetery.
