SHARON G. FRYSAK LANGE

Sharon Gail Lange was born March 31, 1952, to August M. and Jerline Debus Frysak. She passed from this life on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in San Angelo,  Texas.

She graduated from Garden City High School in 1970, received a bachelor’s degree in business in 1974 from Angelo State University and married Warren Jerome Lange in 1978.

Sharon was employed by Shannon Medical Center for several years until 1979. She then became employed by GTE (now Verizon) where she remained until her death. Sharon was active in the Wall Young Homemakers and the 4H club of Wall.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Parish where she taught CCD. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters there.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Monsignor Larry Droll officiating. Interment will follow in St. Ambrose Cemetery.

Survivors include her loving husband of 23 years, Warren J. Lange of San Angelo; sons, Dustin, Kendrick and Heath; mother, Jerline Frysak of Garden City; sister, Theresa Frysak of St. Lawrence; brother, Kervin Frysak of St. Lawrence; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Linda Frysak of St. Lawrence; and sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Kenneth Schniers of St. Lawrence.

She is also survived by her husband’s grandmother, Sarah Halfmann; brother-in-law, Allan Lange and his wife, Wanda, of Wall; sister-in-law, Jennifer Lange of Grand Prairie,  Texas; godchild, Kaycee Schniers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, August M. Frysak and her father-in-law, Jerome Lange.

DOROTHY MAE WOOLLEY

Dorothy Mae Woolley, 85, of San Angelo died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at her residence.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Meyers, pastor of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.

Dorothy was born Nov. 8, 1915, in Waketon,  Texas, to A.S. and Ettie May Sargent. She was a resident of San Angelo since 1963 and a teacher at Holy Angels Catholic School for 15 years.

Dorothy was married to Carroll Franklin Woolley on March 13, 1942, in Burkburnett,  Texas. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1970. Five brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Carrollin Kerr of Mesquite,  Texas, and Sue Betz and husband, Les, of Palmetto, Fla.; one brother, James Sargent of Denton; two sisters, Georgia Perkins of Arlington and Jimmie Edmiston of Garland; five grandchildren, Jerrilen Jimmerson of Jacksonville,  Texas, Terri Keith of Dallas, Buddy Lemons of San Angelo, Steven Lemons of Seattle, Wash., and Justin Lemons of Copperas Cove,  Texas; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Lemons, Steven Lemons, Justin Lemons, Darrell Lemons, Sean King, LeRoy Motl and Jerry Hunt.

LEN DORRITY

Leonard Dorrity was surrounded by his family when he passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001.

Born on Oct. 11, 1909, in Yazoo City, Miss., Len educated was educated in  Louisiana, attending  Louisiana Tech, and later attending the Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md.

He married Martha Fowler on July 8, 1951, in Shreveport, La.

Len was in sales for most of his adult life, traveling the West  Texas territory for 30 years with Higginbotham Bailey Company until he formed Manning’s Textiles. The word “retirement” was not part of his vocabulary.

Len was a hardworking man whose first priority was his family. Whatever he did, he did with dignity. He was pre-deceased by two grandchildren, David Blake Money and Elizabeth Claire Dorrity.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Martha; daughter, Rosemary Calvert and husband, Steve, of San Angelo; son, Charles Dorrity of Plainview and his children, Katherine of Lubbock and Clayton and Jacob Dorrity of Plainview; and a special niece, Diane Junginger.

The family wishes to thank the compassionate staff of Baptist Memorials Center for their loving care and professionalism; Pat, Sherry, Kayla, Amanda, Juan, Toni and Mary.

A celebration of Len’s life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 2781 W. Avenue N. Memorials may be made to Meals for the Elderly or one’s favorite charity.

MASON — Norma Carter, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Gooch Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mason Funeral Home.

Survivors include son, Frankie Lyn Carter of Mansfield.

FREDERICKSBURG — Ella Nebgen, 95, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in a local nursing home. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schaetter Funeral Home.

Survivors include daughter, Erline Grona of Fredericksburg; and half sister, Dora Striegler of Mason.

PECOS — Helen Humprhies, 91, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at her residence. Memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

She is survived by Jack R. Nail of Balmorhea.

JUNCTION — Linda Pearl Whitlock, 58, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in a San Angelo hospital. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Aubrey Fife Funerals Chapel.

Survivors include daughter, Donna Carpenter of Junction; mother, Pearl Dixon of Weatherford; sister, Patricia Speers; and brothers, Darrell Wadlington and Terry Wadlington, both of Weatherford.

LLANO — Bertie Hazelwood, 95, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home.

Survivors include son, Billy Hazlewood of Highland Haven; and sister, Sarah Talley of Llano.

BIG SPRING — Darwin Webb, 75, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in a local nursing home. Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Wildner of Abilene and Mary Loftin of Big Lake; sons, Bob Webb of Denver City and Bruce Webb of Jacksonville; brother, Donald Webb of Hico; and sister, Grace Meyers of Paso Robles,  Calif.

BALLINGER — Milton De La Garza died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at his residence. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Rains-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial in Latin American Cemetery.

Survivors include daughters, Alice Morales of Coleman, Josie Guijaro of Longview, Lupe Lopez Gamez of San Angelo and Anita Ehlers of Houston; and sons, Arthur De La Garza of Longview, Sergio De La Garza of Ballinger, Ralph De La Garza of Kokomo, Ind., George De La Garza of San Angelo, Ruben De La Garza of Tyler and Joe De La Garza of Lovelady; and sister, Josephine Martinez of Delano,  Calif.

BORGER — The Rev. J.H. Blakemore, 79, of Borger died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, in an Amarillo hospital. Service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Greater Ideal Baptist Church in Midland with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors.

Survivors include sons, Eddie Blakemore of Houston, John Blakemore of Borger and Michael Blakemore of Katy; daughter, Glenda Gates of San Angelo; and sister, Iris Anderson of De Soto.

BIG SPRING — Rex Greenwood, 96, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in a local hospital. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Morgan Mill Cemetery in Morgan Mill. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

BIG SPRING — Ruth Sweatt, 89, of Midland and formerly of Big Spring, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in a Midland hospital. Services are pending at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

RITA TREVINO SALAZAR

BROWNWOOD — Rita Trevino Salazar, 76, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, in Brownwood Regional hospital.

She was born May 22, 1925, in Rosebud,  Texas, to Eugene and Guadalupe Reyes Trevino. Rita came to Brownwood in 1946 and married Felix F. Salazar on June 21, 1952. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Service was Wednesday, Nov. 28, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Monsignor Benedict Zientek officiating. Interment was in Greenleaf Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Guadalupe; and one brother, Inocenco Trevino.

Survivors include her husband, Felix F. Salazar of Brownwood; daughter, Mary Jesus Perez and husband, Oscar, of San Angelo; three sons, Jose Angel Salazar and wife, Kandice, of Brownwood, Antonio “Tony” Salazar and Leata of Brownwood, and Domingo Salazar and Gabina of Denton; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She is also survived by two sisters; Maria Tavria of Royce City and Guadalupe Porras of Garland; and brothers, Frank Trevino of Brownwood and Claro Trevino and Albert Trevino, both of Rowlett.

KIMSEY RAYDELL HILL

BRADY — Kimsey Raydell Hill, born March 21, 1919, in Mansfield,  Texas, passed away on Dec. 2, 2001, at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo to be with his wife, Annie, who preceded him in death, and with the Lord.

He is survived by five sons, one daughter and spouses, Vick Hill of Brady, Jackie and Elaine Hill of Coahoma, Larry and Sharon Hill of Brady, Peggy and Bill Burroughs of Brady, Donnie and Leslie Hill of Hobbs, N.M., and Tommy and Deborah Hill of Big Lake; one brother, Ardell Hill of Menard; one sister, Vera Young of Brady; 34 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.

LOLLÉ CHAUMONT

BROWNWOOD — Lollé Chaumont, age 75, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo. Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in Davis-Morris Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with interment in Greenleaf Cemetery.

Lollé was born Feb. 10, 1926, in Basile, La., to Alexandre and Virginie Bellon. She married Curley Chaumont on Jan. 4, 1948, and together they raised seven children. Lollé was a resident of Brownwood from 1960 to 1980, and a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She lived the past 21 years in San Angelo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curley Chaumont; and a son, Richard Chaumont of Brownwood.

Survivors include her children; Mike Chaumont and wife, Pam, of Coppell, Kay Hewitt and husband, Joe, and Susan Chaumont, all of Christoval, James Chaumont, Mark Chaumont and wife, Audrey, Mary Mohler and husband, Jay, and Lisa Olivas, all of San Angelo. Lollé lives on in her children, her 12 grandchildren, and her seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Hewitt, James Chaumont, Ryan Averill, Adam Mohler and Damon Chaumont; and grandson-in-law, Daniel Weaver.
