CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Donald C. Caviness of Fort Worth, Texas, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Caviness was born in Annona, Texas. He was a security guard.
Survivors include four cousins, Doris McDuffle of Annona and Jimmy Caviness, Ralph Meals and James S. Meals.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Garland Chapel Cemetery, Annona, with the Rev. Tommy Keister officiating. Burial will be under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
MARGARET CURTIES
MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas - Margaret Curties, 88, of Talco, Texas, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, in Talco.
Mrs. Curties was born Dec. 25, 1915, in Talco. She was a retired cook and a member and usher of Bethel COGIC, Talco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thelma Curties; and one daughter, Dimple Hines.
Survivors include three daughters and one son - in - law, Linda and Troy Brown of Talco and Corine Hines and Ruby Ellis of Fort Worth, Texas; four sons and two daughters - in - law, Morris and Genetta Brown and Jerry Curties of Talco, Henry and Jolene Johnson of Fort Worth and Jimmy Curties of Missouri; 29 grandchildren; and a number of great - grandchildren and other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel COGIC with Superintendent J.E. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Piney Cemetery under direction of Tumey Mortuary.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Juanice Smith Clark, 46, of Dallas died Wednesday, June 23, 2004.

BERDIE NELSON
Berdie Lee Nelson, 63, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Nelson was born Dec. 14, 1940, in Bradley, Ark. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy "Tweet" Mosley III of Texarkana; her mother, Gracie Nelson of Texarkana; three brothers, Bennie J. Nelson of Flint, Mich., Iseral Nelson of Doddridge, Ark., and Willie T. Nelson of Texarkana; three sisters, Mattie Nelson of Hayward, Calif., and Precious Williams and Arlene LeGardye of Texarkana; and six grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Charity Baptist Church with the Rev. O.V. Birmingham officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

DALLAS - Minnie "Nana" Ham, 72, of Dallas died Sunday, June 27, 2004, in Dallas.
Mrs. Ham was born March 12, 1932, in Garland City, Ark. She was preceded in death by one son, William R. Ham.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Ham; one son and daughter - in - law, Michael Edward and Karen Ham; one daughter and son - in - law, Catherine Ann and Ernest Mentesana; five grandchildren, Travis Edward Ham, Jordan Michael Ham, Jonathan Edward Mentesana, Nicholas Benjamin Mentesana and Kathryn Renee Mentesana; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Restland Funeral Home. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.

Mrs. Helberg was born June 28, 1920, in Red River County, Texas. She was a retail saleswoman and a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold F. Helberg.
Survivors include two sons and daughters - in - law, Allan and Jane Helberg of Savannah, Ga., and Keith and Dovie Helberg of North Richland Hills, Texas; one daughter and son - in - law, Marcia and Sid Killingsworth of Frederick, Colo.; two sisters, Elza C. Sommerville and Bessie McLaughlin of Clarksville; two brothers, Joe Anderson of Queen City, Texas, and Tom Anderson of Haltom City, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great - grandchildren.

DALLAS - Frank W. Dorsey, 75, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.
Mr. Dorsey was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Texarkana. He was the owner of Twin City Window Cleaning and Janitorial Services, former member and deacon of True Light Baptist Church, member of Real Baptist Church and a Korean War veteran.
Survivors include two daughters and one son - in - law, Sonya and Spencer Powell of Sacramento, Calif., and Amelia K. Dorsey of Texarkana; one sister, Betty J. Rhymes - Hall of Texarkana; two grandchildren, Tamika Powell of Sacramento and Brandon Dorsey of Texarkana; one aunt, Cleola Wynne of Cleveland; and one uncle, Troy Lee James of Beachwood, Ohio.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Polly Chapel Baptist Church, Texarkana, with the Rev. Reginald G. Reid and Dr. Warren A. Smith officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Lomax Funeral Home.

IDABEL, Okla. - Frances Crawford, 76, of Idabel died Monday, June 28, 2004, in Idabel.
Mrs. Crawford was born May 17, 1928, in Emmet, Ark. She was retired from McCurtain Memorial Hospital and a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Crawford, in 2002.
Survivors include two special friends, Cathy and J.R. Milam; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Norwood - Coffey - Leonard Funeral Home with the Rev. Asbury Lenox officiating. Burial will be in Denison Cemetery.

Mr. Hicks was born March 15, 1922, in Winfield, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of Dalton Missionary Baptist Church, a 32nd degree Mason of Lodge 1181, an Earth Team Volunteer and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Paula Hicks Romanelli; and two great - grandchildren, Chase and Kelsie.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Hicks of Naples; one daughter, Pearlee J. Wells of Linden, Texas; four sons, Jimmy Ray Hicks of Maud, Texas, Larry Gene Hicks of Midland, Texas, Curtis Welton Hicks of Naples and Lonny Dean Hicks of Perryville, Ark.; one brother, John Henry Hicks of Naples; one sister, Thelma Tucker of Naples; 14 grandchildren; 18 great - grandchildren; one great - great - grandchild and a number of other relatives.

Raymond L. Frost, 81, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Frost was born Feb. 23, 1923, in Boyd, Ark. He was the retired owner of Frost Mattress and Upholstery Co., a member of the Texarkana Bowling Association Hall of Fame and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Ruth Frost, on Dec. 11, 2000.
Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, Lester Ray and Judy Frost of Pensacola, Fla.; two daughters and sons - in - law, Patricia Ann and Jim Pate and Ruth Maudine "Deanie" and Charles Carroll of Texarkana; one sister, Anita White of Texarkana; eight grandchildren; eight great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
