CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Charlotte Grappone, 49, of Bagwell, Texas, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in Red River County, Texas.
Mrs. Grappone was born Jan. 14, 1955, in Hale County, Texas. She was employed with Tyson foods and a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Erin Mendoza of Idabel, Okla., and Elisha Scales of DeKalb, Texas; her mother, Nella Jane Megason of Clarksville; two brothers, Charlie Bower of Avery, Texas, and George Bower Jr. of Clakrsville; four sisters, Pat Megason of DeKalb, Rosie Phillips of Avery, Brenda Spigner of Ester, Alaska, and Carol Sue Meals of Oregon; three stepsisters, Carol Jean, Barbara Gail and Sherry; one stepbrother, Mark; six grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Gravel Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. H.D. Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
HARDY COLE
LINDEN, Texas - Hardy Ray Cole, 51, of Mount Pleasant, Texas, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Cole was born Nov. 26, 1952. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and a member of The Highrollers Motorcycle Club.
Survivors include his wife, Sweetie V. Cole of Marshall, Texas; two daughters, Chiketa Cole Pegues of Longview, Texas, and Chitaylor Cole of Mount Pleasant; three sons, Ramon Cole of Marshall, Mickey Cole of Longview and Nickey Cole of Jacksonville, Texas; his mother, Olean Dowell; three sisters, Arthalean Webster and Denette Dowell of Linden and Ludenia White of Beaumont, Texas; four brothers, Willie Dowell of Greenville, Texas, James Dowell of Douglasville, Texas, John Wayne Dowell of DeKalb, Texas, and Undra Dowell of Nacogdoches, Texas; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Linden First Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Linden Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
EARNESTINE DAVIS
Earnestine Davis, 71, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, in a local hospital.
Ms. Davis was born July 27, 1933, in Texarkana, Ark. She was a retired cook and a member of Mount Orange Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Charlie Daniels Jr., Fredrick Alvin Daniels, Michael Daniels and Steven Daniels of Texarkana; eight daughters, Mary Flagg, Darlene Henderson, Gladystine "Cookie" Nelson, Patricia Daniels, Annette Daniels, Brenda Daniels and Jacquelin Boyce of Texarkana and Carolyn Tucker of Little Rock; 32 grandchildren; 57 great - grandchildren; three great - great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Orange Baptist Church with the Rev. B.J. Rembert officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

LINDEN, Texas - Edward Wayne Chism, 52, of Linden died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Chism was born Jan. 22, 1952, in Marietta, Texas. He was a construction worker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Chism of Linden; two daughters and one son - in - law, Charman Chism of Linden and Shan and Dreg Darty of Kildare, Texas; two sons, Romar Chism and Antwain Chism of Linden; three sisters, Rose betts of Hughes Springs, Texas, and Joyce Davis and Ruthly Sellers of Dallas; one brother, Bobby Chism of Hughes Springs; two grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Marietta, with the Rev. Kenneth King officaiting. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery under direction of Reeder - Davis Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
ROBERT SUYDAM
Robert E. Suydam, 63, of Jefferson, Texas, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.
Mr. Suydam was born March 13, 1941, in Los Angeles. He was a truck driver and a member of the Horatio, Ark., Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, Dee and Ericka Suydam of Texarkana; two brothers, Harry Simms of Texarkana and Archie Suydam of Coleman, Texas; two sisters, Nancy Tommey and Janice Simms of Texarkana; two special friends, Arnold Brown and Joe Ben Wolf of Kilgore, Texas; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Smith officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Clear Creek Cemetery, Horatio.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at 3109 Keller, Texarkana, Texas.
BOBBIE WARREN
MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas - Bobbie Glen Warren, 71, of Naples, Texas, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in Mount Pleasant.
Mr. Warren was born April 5, 1933, in Naples. He was retired from Vinyards Grocery Store and a member of Norris SA. Curry CME Church.
Survivors include four brothers, A.C. Warren and Wesley Warren of Naples, and Billy Warren and Forrest Warren of Los Angeles; five sisters, Johnnie Warren, Faydell Wilkerson, Thelma Kelly and Bettye Warren of Naples and Jeanette Warren of Los Angeles; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Norris S. Curry CME Church. Burial will be in Morning Star Cemetery under direction of Tumey Mortuary.
The body will be available for viewing from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
NOAH JACKSON
HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas - Noah Barney Jackson, 92, of Avinger, Texas, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, in a Longview, Texas, nursing home.
Mr. Jackson was born Sept. 10, 1911, in Cass County, Texas. he was a farmer, a Baptist and a World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Jackson.
Survivors include one son, Barney Ray Jackson of Omaha, Texas; four daughters and three sons - in - law, Jackie Nell Jackson of Daingerfield, Texas, Christine and Gerry Hesselberg of Garland, Ark., Geraldine and Glenn Erwin of Longview and Sibyl and Thomas Earle of Hallsville, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 11 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Reeder - Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Darby officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.

JOHN LAMONS JR.
John Calvin Lamons Jr., 55, of Hooks, Texas, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Lamons was born Oct. 7, 1948, in Dawson County, Texas. He was the owner and operator of Lone Star Transportation, a Baptist and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Lamons of Hooks; two daughters, Tabatha Rowe and Robbin Rowe of Hooks; one son and daughter - in - law, J.D. and Sarah Lamons of Marlow, Okla.; his father, J.C. Lamons Sr. of Hooks; one sister and brother - in - law, Angelia and Robert Hill of Fort Worth, Texas; and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Myrtle Springs Cemetery with the Rev. James Henderson officiating. Burial will be under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Chester L. Hale, 67, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, in a local hospital.
Mr. Hale was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Virginia. He was retired from the Army and a member of Pine Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Hale of Texarkana; two sons, Bob Baker of Alamogordo, N.M., and Scott Hale of Oregon; four daughters, Bobbye Sellers and Michelle McBride of Texarkana, Patricia Hale of Tennessee and Cheryl Hale of El Paso, Texas; two brothers, Curtis Hale of Bristol, Va., and Needham Hale of Oakwood, Va.; one sister, Geraldine Babcock of Catlett, Va.; five grandchildren; and one great - grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with John Hall officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Chapelwood Cemetery.

RALPH ATKINSON
CARTHAGE, Texas - Ralph Thomas Atkinson, 84, of Joaquin, Texas, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, in Carthage.
Mr. Atkinson was born April 8, 1921, in Newton, Miss. He was a former band director and a Army Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Shirley Atkinson of Joaquin; one son, Tom Atkinson of Warrensburg, Mo.; and one daughter, Annette Mackey of Texarkana.
Memorial services will be 4 p.m. today at Hawthorn Funeral Home.
