JEFFERSON,  Texas - Jessie L. Conner, 99, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, in a Marshall,  Texas, nursing home.

Arrangements are pending with Lewis and Walker Funeral Home.

DOROTHY TURNER

CLARKSVILLE,  Texas - Dorothy J. Turner, 64, of Clarksville died Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, in Texarkana.

Mrs. Turner was born March 29, 1941, in Clarksville. She was an evangelist.

Survivors include three sons, Billy C. Livingston, Larry Livingston and Johnnie Livingston; four daughters, Phyllis Jackson, Wanda Easter, Denise Duckett and Rochelle Turner; her mother, Bessie Gliddens; 14 grandchildren; three great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at DeKalb High School Gymnasium, DeKalb,  Texas, under direction of Brownrigg Funeral Home.

The body may be viewed Friday at the funeral home.

L.C. PACE

Lonnie C. Pace, 87, of Texarkana,  Texas, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Pace was born June 28, 1917, in Ruston, La. He was a retired manager of Bryce's Cafeteria, a Mason, a member of First United Methodist Church and a decorated World War II Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by one son, Steve Pace.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Pace of Texarkana; one son, Paul Pace of Texarkana; two daughters, Paula Hamilton of Wake Village,  Texas, and Cheryl Conner of McKinney,  Texas; three brothers, Ed Pace of West Monroe, La., Wilford Pace of Memphis, Tenn., and Wilbur Pace of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one sister, Annette Bedgood of West Monroe; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in East Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jeff Parker officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.

The family will be at their home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 401 State Line Ave., Texarkana,  Texas, 75501.

AVERY BARTON

NEW BOSTON,  Texas - Avery Eugene Barton, 67, of New Boston died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mr. Barton was born Dec. 3, 1936, in Duty, Va. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Co., a former member of New Boston Masonic Lodge 69 AF&AM, a Shriner, a Baptist and an Army veteran.

Survivors include one daughter and son - in - law, Angela and Bill Hastings of Texarkana; one brother, Jerry Barton of Nitro, W.Va.; three sisters, Lura Nemer of Durham, N.C., Helen O'Quinn of Abingdon, Va., and Merle Boyd of Adamsville, Ala.; three grandchildren, Haven Hardage, Haley Hardage and Clint Hastings; one special friend, Ruby Bearden of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ken Cox officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates - Rolf Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family will be at 2234 Boston Ave., New Boston.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 5325 Summerhill Road, Texarkana,  Texas, 75503.

BILLY DUREN

CLARKSVILLE,  Texas - Billy M. Duren, 67, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, in a local hospital.

Mr. Duren was born Jan. 5, 1937, in Red River County,  Texas. He was former owner of Duren Brothers Farm Supply and Harvey - Duren Motor and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Juan Manuel Horta.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona Harvey Duren of Clarksville; one son, Rick Duren of Santa Fe, N.M.; two daughters and one son - in - law, Kim Duren of Austin and Fradonna and Juan Horta of Dallas; two sisters and brothers - in - law, Alma and Leonard  Johnson of Paris,  Texas, and Diana and Bill McGuire of Clarksville; one brother and sister - in - law, M.A. "Bud" and Betty Duren of Clarksville; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Ray Eastridge and James Brown officiating. Burial will be in Cooper's Chapel Cemetery, Mount Pleasant,  Texas, under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

GUY JONES

Guy Edward Jones, 71, of Texarkana,  Texas, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, in Austin.

Judge  Jones was born Feb. 22, 1933, in Linden,  Texas. He was a senior District Court of  Texas judge, former associate of Wheeler - Watkins Law Firm, former Bowie County Attorney, former Bowie County District Attorney and former appointed judge of the 202nd State District Court, a 32nd degree Mason with Masonic Lodge 672 and a member of First Baptist Church, Moores Lane.

Survivors include his wife, Angelia Pruitt  Jones of Texarkana; one son and daughter - in - law, Geoff and Cindy  Jones of Texarkana; one daughter and son - in - law, Jennifer and Pat McGee of Austin; one brother, George R.  Jones of Fort Worth,  Texas; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, Moores Lane, with the Rev. Jeff Schreve officiating. Arrangements are under direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Association or a favorite charity.

FLOSSIE COULTER

CLARKSVILLE,  Texas - Flossie Coulter, 64, of Clarksville died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, in a Paris,  Texas, hospital.

Mrs. Coulter was born March 3, 1940, in Annona,  Texas.

Survivors include one daughter, Rosie Coulter of Clarksville; one son, Michael Coulter of Paris; one aunt, Artelma Wildermyre of Clarksville; three grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Annona. Burial will be in Annona Cemetery under direction of Citizen Funeral Home.

KENNETH ROBINSON

Kenneth Dale Robinson, 49, of Redwater,  Texas, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, in a local hospital.

Arrangements are under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

MARY ROBINSON

ATLANTA,  Texas - Mary V. Robinson, 85, of Atlanta died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, in Texarkana,  Texas.

Mrs. Robinson was born Oct. 10, 1918, in Linden,  Texas. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, George L. Robinson Jr. of  Washington and David M. Robinson of Atlanta; two brothers and sisters - in - law, Alvin E. and Mary Robinson of Kileen,  Texas, and Leonard H. and Billie Robinson of Diboll,  Texas; one sister, Erna Adams of Texarkana; seven grandchildren; and two great - grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Laws Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby  White officiating. Burial will be under direction of Hanner Funeral Home.

BILLY MILAM

ATLANTA,  Texas - Billy Ray Milam, 75, of Atlanta died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, in Atlanta.

Mr. Milam was born June 10, 1929, in Cass,  Texas. He was a diesel mechanic and a member of Courtland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Ray Milam.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Milam of Atlanta; one son and daughter - in - law, Mark and Sandra Milam of Atlanta; three brothers, Jack Milam of Livingston,  Texas, Jerry Milam of Holly Lake and Ben Milam of Texarkana; one sister, Myrna Wagner of Atlanta; one grandson, Matthew Milam of McLeod,  Texas; two step - grand - children, Jeffery Cash of Atlanta and Greg Cash of Dallas; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hanner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Courtland Cemetery.

RAYMOND SHAW

Raymond Junior Shaw, 74, of Texarkana,  Texas, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, in a local hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Texarkana Funeral Home.

LUCILLE PARKER

Lucille Parker, 89, of DeKalb,  Texas, died Monday, June 28, 2004, in a local hospital.

Ms. Parker was born April 19, 1915, in DeKalb. She was retired and a member of Hegler Chapel CME Church.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Parker of DeKalb; four daughters, Doris Gulledge of Portland, Ore., Josephine "Jo" Parker of New Boston,  Texas, Barbara Roberson of Anaheim,  Calif., and Linda Parker - Wyse of DeKalb; three sisters, Marie Boyd and Dorothy Spiller of Portland and Mary Nell Brantley of DeKalb; 31 grandchildren; 42 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hegler Chapel CME Church with the Rev. G.G. Anderson officiating. Burial will be in DeKalb Cemetery under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

ARESSER THURSBY

MOUNT PLEASANT,  Texas - Aresser Thursby, 92, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, in Mount Pleasant.

Mrs. Thursby was born Jan. 12, 1912, in Titus County,  Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Sheppard Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, I.C. "Dick" Thursby; one granddaughter; and two great - grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters and one son - in - law, Bertha Thursby Small of Denver,  Colo., and Mary Glover and Ruthie N. and Bill Jeffery of Mount Pleasant; three sons and daughters - in - law, John Thomas and Lucile Thursby of Fort Worth,  Texas, and I.C. and Mary Thursby and Calvin and Wilma Thursby of Mount Pleasant; 16 grandchildren; 27 great - grandchildren; 13 great - great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

The body may be viewed today at Tumey Mortuary from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Sheppard Street Church of Christ. Burial will be in Sheppard Street Cemetery under direction of the funeral home.

WENDY RILEY

LINDEN,  Texas - Wendy Marie Riley, 21, of Lone Star,  Texas, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004.

Arrangements are pending with Reeder - Davis - Schindler Funeral Home.

VIRGIE ROLLINS

Virgie Rollins, 98, of DeKalb,  Texas, died Monday, June 28, 2004, in a local hospital.

Ms. Rollins was born Aug. 24, 1905, DeKalb,  Texas. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Ruby L. Easter of DeKalb and Lula M. Waller of Terrell,  Texas; one aunt, Lillie Bailey of DeKalb; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Baker officiating. Graveside services will be in Mount Olivet Mausoleum, New Orleans, under direction of Haynes Mortuary.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

ANDANEESHA CLEMONS

Infant Andaneesha Shanae Clemons of Texarkana,  Texas, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, in a local hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Haynes Mortuary.
