Juanita Martin, 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, March 8, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Martin was born Feb. 3, 1916, in Pittsburg, Texas. She was retired from Decker's Packing Plant and a member of Buchanan Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Martin; and one daughter, Ann Hunter.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Karla Trammell of Texarkana and Cindy Beitler of North Richland Hills, Texas; five great - grandchildren, Brandy Rhodes, Jeremy Sharp and Christopher Trammell of Fort Worth, Texas, Stephanie Beitler of North Richland Hills and Clayton Trammell of Texarkana; and five great - great - grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Brazile officiating. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane.
WINNIE LEWIS
MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas - Winnie D. Lewis, 81, of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. Lewis was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Mount Pleasant. She was a member of Blunders Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lee Lewis; one son, Carl Lee Lewis Jr.; one grandchild; and one great - grandchild.
Survivors include three daughters and one son - in - law, Anna Mae Lewis, Clara Bates and Wilma and James Linwood of Mount Pleasant; three sons and one daughter - in - law, John L. Johnson, A.J. and Linda Lewis and Carl D. Lewis of Mount Pleasant; one daughter - in - law, Mary Lewis of Mount Pleasant; one brother, Bill Jeffery of Mount Pleasant; 18 grandchildren; 32 great - grandchildren; four great - great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Blunders Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. John M. Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Blunders Creek Cemetery under direction of Tumey Mortuary.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
JAMES ANTHONY
HOUSTON, Texas - James E. Anthony, 33, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, in Houston.
Mr. Anthony was born June 29, 1970, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a Catholic.
Survivors include two daughters, Courtney Anthony and Hale Anthony of Redwater, Texas; his parents, Albert and Betty Larrow of Redwater; two sisters, Roxane Duhon of Fort White, Fla., and Tina Collom of Gilmer, Texas; his grandparents, Wayne and Jean Lapp of Aurora, Colo.; and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Priest officiating. Cremation arrangements under direction of Paradise Funeral Home.

CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Iris Estes Cunningham, 95, of Avery, Texas, died Tuesday, March 6, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.
Mrs. Cunningham was born Sept. 6, 1908, in Avery. She was a homemaker and a member of Avery United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Amos Estes and Pat Cunningham.
Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, Glen and Lydia Estes of Avery; two sisters, Della France of Hot Springs, Ark., and Euna Dickerson of Ennis, Texas; one brother, Carl Harvey of Wake Village, Texas; and one granddaughter, Carolyn Kimbriel of Avery.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Revs. Pete Adrian and James Brown officiating. Burial will be in Avery Cemetery.

CLARKSVILLE, Texas - Timothy James "T.J." York, 22, of Paris, Texas, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, in Valliant, Okla.
Mr. York was born Oct. 28, 1981, in Fayetteville, N.C. He was a welder with Turner Pipe and a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, Payton Elmore of Paris; one daughter, Madalynne York of Paris; his parents, Jimmy Doyle Lile and Amelia Luanne York; one brother, Justin Guy York of Paris; three cousins, Robert Smith and Kayla Smith of Houston and Sarah L. Shuler of Wilmington, N.C.; and one uncle and aunt, Will and Janet Beaty of Boxelder, Texas.

Merle Thomas Jamison, 87, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Jamison was born April 17, 1916, in Plantersville, Miss. He was a retired engineer with Missouri and Pacific Railroad, a Mason, board president of Texarkana Terminal Employees Federal Credit Union and a member of First United Methodist Church, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Nell Murphree Jamison of Texarkana; two daughters and sons - in - law, Tricia and Byron Leonoudakis of Texarkana and Bonnie and Gib Blackman of Dallas; four grandchildren, Dylan Leonoudakis of Baton Rouge, La., Ross Leonoudakis of Austin and Elizabeth Blackman and Forrest Blackman of Dallas.
Services will be 4 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, Texas, with the Rev. Jeff Parker officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.

ATLANTA, Texas - Edith Robinson Coats, 82, of Atlanta died Sunday, March 7, 2004, in Texarkana.
Mrs. Coats was born April 4, 1921, in Fedrick, Okla. She was a former employee of Henson Kickernick and a member of Primitive Baptist Church, Marlow, Okla. She was preceded in death by one son, Troy R. Coats, and one grandson, Tony L. Williamson.
Survivors include her husband, Ben Coats of Atlanta; two sons, Buddy Joe Coats of Queen City, Texas, and Larry Coats of Atlanta; two daughters, Doris Fay Williamson of Queen City and Linda Miller of Dallas; two brothers, Carl Robison of Montgomery, Texas, and Billy Robison of Queen City; two sisters, Joletta Meadows of Atlanta and Prudie Layman of Mineola, Texas; eight grandchildren; 10 great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Louise Templeton, 82, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Templeton was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Maud, Texas. She was a former employee of Whatley Sign Co. and a member of Walnut Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.F. Templeton.
Survivors include two sisters, Juanita Jeter of Jacksonville, Texas, and Gayle Sinquefield of Texarkana; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Monday in Rondo Memorial Park. Burial was under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

Mr. Miller was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Naylor, Ark. He was retired from Federal Correctional Institution, a member of Hardy Memorial United Methodist Church, C.C. Alumni, Veterans of Foreign War and Fidelity Sunday School Class and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Iva Nell Caudle Miller of Texarkana; two sons and daughters - in - law, James O. II and Sally Miller of St. Simons Island, Ga., and Gary N. and Debbie Miller of San Antonio; two sisters, Kathryn Hawkins of Greenville, N.C., and Ines Smithpeters of Gurdon, Ark.; six grandchildren; one great - grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Survivors include eight special friends, Lucille Young, Vivian Willard, James and Barbara Bell, Lottie Warren, Judy Harrison and Pat and Jim Sherrin of Texarkana.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hillcrest Memorial Park with David Scurlock officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park under direction of East Funeral Home, Downtown.
