DeKALB, Texas - Pauline Clark, 79, of DeKalb died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, in a Texarkana hospital.
Mrs. Clark was born Sept. 16, 1924, in Bowie County, Texas. She was a homemaker, owner and operator of Clark's Nursery and Landscaping and a member of Ladies Auxillary and Pinkham Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two great - grandchildren, Emily Clark and Haleigh Walton.
Survivors include her husband, Lanan V. Clark Sr., of DeKalb, Texas, four sons Gary Clark, Keith Clark and L.C. Clark of DeKalb and Terry Clark of Foreman, Ark.; two daughters, Patsy Parker and Wanda Bishop of DeKalb; two sisters, Iva McShane and Dorothy Grimes of Weatherford, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 21 great - grandchildren; seven great - great - grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bates - Rolf Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rufus Castro officiating. Burial will be in Woodmen Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

GEORGIA HUEY
Georgia Huey, 68, of Hooks, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Huey was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Garland City, Ark. She was a member of Leary Chapel Baptist Church and Minister's Wives Association.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Clemia T. Huey Sr. of Hooks; two sons, Clemia T. Huey Jr. of Leary, Texas, and Tony M. Huey Sr. of Atlanta, Ga.; four daughters, Debra Hooks of Austin, Dorothy Hooks and Angela Rowden of Leary and Thelma Reeves of Anniston, Ala.; one brother, Timothy Townsel of California; three sisters, Bertha Fisher, Lizzie Gulley and Faye Cole of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; and six great - grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Hooks, with the Rev. U. Forte officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
GERTRUDE WICKS
ATLANTA, Texas - Gertrude "Mutt" Wicks, 84, of McLeod, Texas, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, in Atlanta.
Mrs. Wicks was born Oct. 14, 1919, in Cass County, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Good Exchange Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Darrel Alan Raney.
Survivors include her husband, Howard "Buster" Wicks of McLeod; one son and daughter - in - law, Larry and Charlotte Wicks of Atlanta; one daughter, Dwen Wicks Raney of McLeod; three grandchildren, Stephen Wicks and Amy Wicks Tolleson of Atlanta and Darla Raney Barone of McLeod; and four great - grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today in Good Exchange Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Hanner Funeral Home.
ARMISTIC BATTLE
ATLANTA, Texas - Armistic L. "Mule" Battle, 60, of Atlanta died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Battle was born April 19, 1943, in Douglassville, Texas. He was an employee of International Paper and a member of St. John Missionary Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janette Battle of Atlanta; three sons and daughters - in - law, Anthony and Ulanda Battle, Armistic II and Betty Battle and Alan and Sylinda Battle; one daughter, Kezlyn P. Buford - Levels; his foster mother, Spencer Smith; four sisters, Kleesta Hunter, Vanessa Gaines, Kinili Calico and Nikieta Smith; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at Hiram and Mills St. First Baptist Church with Leon Talton officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery Panhandle under direction of Coleman - Atlanta Funeral Home.
The body may be viewed noon to 1 p.m. today at the church.
ROY SANFORD
NEW BOSTON, Texas - Roy Marion Sanford, 85, of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., formerly of New Boston, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, in an Arizona hospital.
Mr. Sanford was born Sept. 6, 1918, in Bonham, Texas. He was a retired farmer, a Baptist and a World War II Army veteran and POW. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Sanford, in 2002.
Survivors include three daughters and one son - in - law, Aggie and John Wolter and Mary Watson of Lake Havasu City and Elizabeth Talbert of Elizabethtown, Ill.; three sons, the Rev. Jeff Sanford of Havasu City; James Sanford of Elizabethtown and Jessie Sanford of Bakersfield, Calif.; one sister, Beulah Johnson of Lamesa, Texas; one brother, Melvin Sanford of Shafter, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Pulaski Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Stringer officiating. Burial will be under direction of Bates - Rolf Funeral Home.
EDYTH HUBBARD
Edyth Massey Hubbard, 96, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Hubbard was born May 4, 1907, in Rodessa, La. She was a registered nurse, retired from Cotton Belt Railroad Hospital and Red River Army Depot and a decorated World War II Army veteran. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benton Hubbard.
Survivors include four nieces and one nephew - in - law, Joyce Warren and Kay Massey of Texarkana, Mary and Gene Gardner of Genoa, Ark., and Gale Massey of Bellview, Wash.; two nephews, Paul Massey and Keith Massey of Texarkana; and 15 great - nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today in Rondo Cemetery. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
The family will be at 1713 Jennings.

LORETA FORTNER
ATLANTA, Texas - Loreta Fortner, 89, of Dallas died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, in Plano, Texas.
Mrs. Fortner was born April 2, 1914, in Atlanta. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Fortner.
Survivors include one son and daughter - in - law, Jim and Kathy Fortner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter and son - in - law, Jan and Wally LaViolette of Dallas; four grandchildren, Paige Fortner Atkinson of Atlanta; Christy Fortner Green of Denver, Cindy LaViolette Black of Austin and Andy LaViolette of Denton, Texas; and four great - grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Carrion officiating. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery under direction of Hanner Funeral Home.
JOHN SEGLESKI
CLARKSVILLE, Texas - John Yonnick Segleski, 86, of Clarksville died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Segleski was born Nov. 24, 1917, in New London, Conn. He was a professional bull rider, founding member of Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, a member of Turtle Club, a Baptist and a World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Lucille Segleski, on March 30, 1999.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters - in - law, Steve Segleski and Charlie and Ruby Segleski of Clarksville; Mike and Tena Segleski of Austin and Bruce and Kim Segleski of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two sisters, Wanda of Quaker Hill, Conn., and Gladys of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother, Charles Segleski of Waterford, Conn.; six grandchildren; and four great - grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Clarksville Funeral Home Lindeman Chapel with the Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will be in Madras Cemetery.

Warner A. Cain, 77, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Cain was born July 27, 1926, in Hackett, Ark. He was retired from MetLife and Army Reserves, past president of National Life Underwriters Association, member of Highland Park Baptist Church and a Navy, Air Force and Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Nicholas Cross, in December 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Cain of Texarkana; two daughters and sons - in - law, Ginger and Charles Cross and Candace and Al Hoehn of Texarkana; one brother, Ted Cain of Monterey, Calif.; three sisters, Marie Armstrong of Fort Smith, Ark., Ina Norton of Wake Village, Texas, and Vivian Erma Spears of Texarkana; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Blase and Kevin Myers officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with military rites.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at 9007 N. Kings Highway.

NEW BOSTON, Texas - Barbara Aileen Ford, 75, of New Boston died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at her home.
Mrs. Ford was born Dec. 30, 1928, in New Boston. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Boston Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Barling, in 1983.
Survivors include her husband, William R. Ford of New Boston; one daughter and son - in - law, Patricia and Wayne Johnston of Texarkana; one grandson, Jody Johnston of Texarkana; one stepgrandson, Chris Johnston; one stepgranddaughter, Kim Johnston; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were Feb. 19 at Bates - Rolf Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Roy Ford and Herschel Richard officiating. Burial was in Ringwood Cemetery.

MINNEAPOLIS - Lewis Junior Henderson, 82, of Minneapolis, formerly of Texarkana, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, in a local hospital.
Mr. Henderson was born Dec. 21, 1921, in DeKalb, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Henderson of Minneapolis; and four sisters, Lovenia Adams, Ola Banks and Lillie Mae Scott of Texarkana and Lola Mae Banks of Los Angeles.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Oliver Baptist Church with the Rev. Adradda officiating under direction of Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Mr. Fulbright was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Clarksville.

William Huey Tinsley, 46, of Nash, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at his home.
Mr. Tinsley was born Dec. 28, 1957, in Dallas. He was a retired construction field engineer, a rancher and a Baptist.
Survivors include one son, Tres C. Tinsley of Dallas; his parents, Huey and Norma Tinsley of Atlanta, Texas, and Joann Nutt Tinsley and Bill Nichols of Texarkana; one brother, David Tinsley of New Castle, Del.; two sisters, Reon Hall of Texarkana and Pamela Crane of Little Rock; four nephews; and two nieces.
