Joseph Dwayne Palmer, age 44, of Campbellton,  Texas, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007, in San Antonio,  Texas.He was born on December 20, 1962 to Loraine and Harvey Palmer in San Antonio, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Palmer, brother James Harvey, Aunt Betty Merchant, Bonnie Jenkins, Uncle Basil Howard and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Loraine Palmer, twin brother Jeff Palmer and wife Ladonna of Gatesville, TX. Sisters Joyce Buendel and husband Charlie of Pleasanton, TX and Judy Martinez and husband Chris of Campbellton. Debbie Brighton & husband Wesley and family of Dunlay, TX., Cindy Rice & husband Wesley and family of San Antonio, TX.,Karen Thompson & husband Larry and family of San Antonio, TX., Terri Williamson & husband Jeff and family of Eugene, OR. Nieces and Nephews Natasha Faucett and husband Gabriel Calderon of Pleasanton, TX., Amanda Martinez and husband Chris Tackett of Campbellton,TX.,Tanya Richardson and husband Wesley of Plesanton, Tx., Justin Palmer of Campbellton, TX., and Trinity Faucett of Pleasanton, TX. Great Nieces and Nephews Gabriel Jr. and Rachel Calderon, Layla Tackitt and Landon Richardson. Uncles and Aunts Bob Mitchell & wife Sandy and family of New London, Tx., JoAnn Howard and family of San Antonio. Barbara Grey & husband Glen and family of Brownwood, TX. Girlfriend Mary Hernandez, special friends Louisa Hernandez, Tom Hubka, Ramon Cisneros and Edward Schafer all of Campbellton, TX., Ex-wife Debra Palmer and family of Kilgore,Tx and other numerous friends.
Joseph enjoyed going to the beach,fishing, Harleys and having good times with friends and family. He was a big fan of the  Washington Redskins and the Spurs.
Arrangements are being handled by Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Rd., Pleasanton,  Texas, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 26, 2007. Funeral service will be at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM Friday, July 27, 2007 . Interment will be at San Fernando #2 in San Antonio,  Texas

Army SPC. Daniel Enrique Gomez
Army SPC. Daniel Enrique Gomez, age 21, formerly of Natalia, was killed in action in Iraq, Wednesday, July 18, 2007, also killed were Army SPC. 1st Class Luis Gutierrez-Rosales, Army SPC. Zachary Clouser and Army SPC. Richard Gilmore III. They were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, in Schweinfurt, Germany.
SPC. Gomez received many medals and commendations in his military career; including the Legion Of Merit, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Medic Badge and Expert Badge With Rifle.
He is survived by his parents Juan & Juanita Gomez, brother Louis, sister Marian, maternal grandmother Maura Medina and paternal grandmother Enriqueta Gomez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a host of other relatives, friends and his fellow Warriors.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 28, 2007 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM and Sunday, July 29, 2007, from 9:00AM until 9:00PM, in the Chapel of Hurley Funeral Home, Devine with the Rosary being recited at 7:00PM. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM, at St John Bosco Catholic Church, Natalia. In honor of Daniel's wishes, he will be interred with Full military Honors at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery immediately following the Mass.

Alma L. Tenberg
Alma L. (Ryan) Tenberg, age 92, of Jourdanton,  Texas, passed away Friday, July 27, 2007, in Jourdanton,  Texas .
She is survived by her Sons, Jimmy Tenberg of Pleasanton,Charles Tenberg of Jourdanton, Brother, Jack Ryan of Charlotte,. As well as ten grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren also three great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Tenberg and son Joseph Tenberg.
Arrangements are being handled by Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Rd., Pleasanton,  Texas, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, July 29, 2007. Funeral service will be at Hurley Funeral Chapel at 10:00 AM Monday, July 30, 2007.Interment will be at Jourdanton City Cemetery in Jourdanton,  Texas

James H. Chambers
James H. Chambers, age 64, of Pleasanton,  Texas, was called home to heaven on Thursday, July 26, 2007, in San Antonio,  Texas. He graduated from Henderson State Teachers College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in education. He continued his education at Drury College in Springfield, Missouri, where he received a master's degree in educational administration. Mr. Chambers was a teacher and coach in Arkansas, Missouri, and  Texas for 40 years.
His interests included golf, reading and the study of history and he was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. He dearly loved his spouse, children, grandchild, daughter-in-law, brothers,sisters, nieces and nephews. James had a deep respect for all his dear friends. He loved people so much that one of his last giving gestures was to share his organs with those who were in need of them. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lena Chambers and his beloved hero and uncle, Charles Pennington.
He is survived by his wife Mary Carolyn Chambers of Pleasanton, daughter, Julie Dawn Chambers, son, Charles Stephen Chambers and wife Elena all of San Antonio and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Chambers. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Sharon Harrison and husband Charles of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Ruth Kelley and husband Jimmy of Sparkman, Arkansas, Rex Chambers and wife Betty of Russellville, Arkansas, Bill Chambers and wife Judy of Fredricktown, Missouri, John Chambers of Camden, Arkansas; aunts, Helen Goree of Pottsville, Arkansas, Cathryn Pennington and Lorraine Tiger both of Russellville, Arkansas and brother-in-law, Don Heard and wife Mary of Fort Smith, Arkansas as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 West Oaklawn Road, Pleasanton,  Texas, from 10:00 AM to 12:00PM Saturday, July 28, 2007. The funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Pleasanton at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 28, 2007. Interment will be on Monday at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Greenwood, Arkansas. Serving as pallbearers for the funeral service in Pleasanton are Billy Ewing, Don Heard, Chris Pino, Bob Rentfro, Ken Whittaker, Gerald Guerra; honorary pallbearers in Pleasanton, Bill Chambers, Jim Star and Pleasanton Junior and Senior High School Coaching Staff; pallbearers at Greenwood, Glen Arnold, John Chambers, Rex Chambers, Don Heard, Jon Heard, Charles Harrison and honorary pallbearers at Greenwood are Bill Chambers, Mickey McAnally, Charles Durham, Ronnie Duffield, Luke Duffield, David Duffield, Burl McAnulty, Gary Goree, Jimmy Sparks and Larry Jones. In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 187, Pleasanton,  Texas 78064.

Mario Romero, Jr.
Mario Romero,Jr. age 17, of Pleasanton,  Texas passed away Friday, July 27, 2007, in Jourdanton,  Texas. He is survived by his father, Mario Romero, Sr. of Pleasanton and mother, Alice Flores of Pleasanton. He is also survived by his sister and brothers, Desirae Marie Romero & Gary Delgado of Pleasanton, Danny Martinez, Jr. of Pleasanton, Billy Joe Martinez & wife Estella of Pleasanton, Robert Jay Martinez & wife Melissa of Pleasanton, Randy Martinez & wife Pamela of Pleasanton, and Gabriel Anthony Romero of Pleasanton; Paternal grandmother, Enedina Romero of Pleasanton, and maternal Grandmother-Enedina Flores of Pleasanton as well as numerous aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Marcos Romero, Sr. and his aunt, Lita Villalobos. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 West Oaklawn Road, Pleasanton, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a vigil service to be held at 7:00 PM Monday, July 30, 2007. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pleasanton at 10 AM Tuesday, July 31, 2007. Interment will be at Pleasanton City Cemetery in Pleasanton,  Texas.

Virginia Mae (Campbell) Mullins
Virginia Mae (Campbell) Mullins, age 76 of Pleasanton,  Texas passed away Friday, July 27, 2007, in Jourdanton,  Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Tresa Beardsley & husband Bill of Campbellton. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Campbell of Visala, California and grandchildren, Melissa and Christopher as well as great-grandchildren, Madeline and Caitlyn. Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 West Oaklawn Road, Pleasanton,  Texas, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2007. The funeral service will be held at Hurley Funeral Home (Pleasanton) at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2007. Interment will be at a later date in Duncan,  Oklahoma.

Thomas James Geren
Tomas James Geren, age 68, of Pleasanton,  Texas, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007, in Pleasanton,  Texas. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Diane Geren of Hewitt,daughter, Kelly Stewart and husband Steve of Houston and sons, Steve Geren and wife Amy of California and Derek Cowan and wife Tracy of Hewitt. He is also survived by his sister and brother, Lawana Geren of San Antonio and brother, Preston Geren and wife Nellie of Seattle,  Washington and nephew, Sam Geren of Seattle  Washington as well as granddaughters, Hailey Cowan, Kaelyn Cowan and Riley Cowan all of Hewitt. Arrangements are being handled by Hurley Funeral Home, 118 West Oaklawn Raod, Pleasanton,  Texas. A memorial service will be held at Foss Funeral Home in Valley Mills,  Texas at 10:00AM Wednesday, August 1,2007.

Ophelia (Gonzales) Trevino
Ophelia (Gonzales) Trevino, age 64, of Von Ormy,  Texas, passed away Monday, July 30, 2007 in Von Ormy,  Texas .
She is survived by her Daughter-in-law-Eloise Trevino of Von Ormy,  Texas
Two Sons, David Trevino and Daniel J. Trevino both of Von Ormy,  Texas. Three Sisters, Janie Regalado of Christine,  Texas
Emelia Garza of Marion,  Texas
and Louisa Tovar of San Antonio,  Texas Two Brothers, Manuel Gonzales of Christine,  Texas
and Esteban Gonzales of Christine,  Texas.
Also grandchildren Carelyn, Christy, Casey, and Alejandro as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

Tobey Crawford Tomblin
Tobey Crawford Tomblin, Sr., age 76, of San Marcos,  Texas, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007, in San Marcos,  Texas. He was the son of the late Tommy Tomblin and the late Sadie (Peterson) Tomblin. He is survived by his
daughters, Deborah Elaine Bissonnet of Lockhart, Brenda Joyce Brown and husband Bo of Neiderwald and son, Tobey Crawford Tomblin and wife Brenda Kay of Sandbranch.
He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Ruth Henry and husband Dale of Lampasas, Shirley Maines of Kansas, sisters-in-law, Sandra Malkus and husband Mike of San Antonio, Claudia Duffek of Stockdale and cousin, Ray Duncan and wife Mary of San Marcos as well as grandchildren,
Victoria Bissonnet, Whitney Brown, Kendall Brown, Stacie Tomblin, Lena Tomblin, Brittany Tomblin and Tobey Crawford Tomblin, III. He is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Tomblin; mother, Sadie Peterson-Tomblin and wife, Dorothy Iris Sexton-Tomblin.
A graveside service will be held at Sandbranch Cemetery in Sandbranch,  Texas at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 2, 2007.

Victor Emmanuel Maspero, age 84, of San Antonio,  Texas, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2007 in San Antonio,  Texas
He is survived by his daughters,
Bernadette Schulz of Richardson,  Texas , Lorraine Caperton of Austin,  Texas
Daughter-in-law-Ruth Maspero of Port Aransas,  Texas. Sons, Thomas J. Maspero of San Antonio,  Texas. Son-Michael V. Maspero & Barbara of San Antonio,  Texas. Also companion Jane Chapman of San Antonio,and special friends Bobby & Linda Kiolbassa of San Antonio. Preceded in death by her son Victor E. Maspero, Jr. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
