WALDREN
Evelyn Virginia Waldren of Brownfield died January 9, 2000 at Victoria Gardens in Frisco.
Graveside services were held January 13, 2000 at Buffalo Gap Cemetery in Buffalo Gap under the direction of Cantrell Funeral Home of Frisco. Services were conducted by Reverend Eugene Staton.
Mrs. Waldren was born April 14, 1924 in Greeley, Colorado, the daughter of the late Orville and Ruth Carey Plog. She and Reverend John W. Walden were married in El Monte, California in 1948. She was a member of the International Church of Foursquare Gospel and was a retired minister.
Survivors include her son, Ray Waldren of The Colony, her brothers: Archie Plog of Greeley, Colorado and Eldon Plog of Huntsville, Alabama, her sisters: Jean Kyle of Sterling, Colorado, Dorothy Hall of Mission, and Willa Rae Warehime of Fort Collins, Colorado. Other survivors include two grandchildren: Erin Nicol of The Colony and Jeffrey Michael Waldren of Sarasota, Florida.

HARRIS
Katie I. Harris, 94, of Frisco died January 8, 2000 at Celina Care Center in Celina. Services were held January 11, 2000 at Cantrell Funeral Chapel in Frisco with interment in Little Elm Cemetery.
Mrs. Harris was born December 5, 1905, the daughter of the late John P. and Mary Emma Barkley Bradford. She married Walter Scott Harris in Frisco in 1950. He preceded her in death July 13, 1978. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a housewife.
Mrs. Harris is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and five sisters.

PARHAM
Norman M. Parham of Frisco died January 7, 2000 at Trinity Medical Center in Carrollton.
Services were held January 10, 2000 at Cantrell Funeral Chapel in Frisco with interment in Little Elm Cemetery.
He was born December 15, 1921 in Anadarko,  Oklahoma, the son of the late Joe and Laura Green Parham. He married Louise Willenborg in Durant,  Oklahoma in 1958. He was a retired sheet rock hanger.
Mr. Parham is survived by his wife, Louise, of Frisco, sons: Milton Heine of Lewisville, Duanne Heine of Terrell and Norman Parham, Jr. of The Colony, and his daughters: Patsy Shee of Arlington and Kathy Horton of Red Oak. Other survivors include his brothers, Harvey Parham of  Oklahoma City,  Oklahoma and Otis Parham of Anadarko,  Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, two sisters, and one son: Stanley Heine.

REEDER
Marjorie Jane Reeder, 84, of Plano died January 8, 2000 at Plano Presbyterian Hospital.
Memorial services will be held January 14, 2000 at Westville Cemetery in Westville,  Oklahoma under the direction of Cantrell Funeral Home of Frisco.
Mrs. Reeder was born October 6, 1915 in Artesia, California, the daughter of the late William Edgar and Martha Jane Waters Simmons. She was a retired educator and Certified Public Accountant. She taught high school and college accounting retiring from Mid-Western University in Wichita Falls in 1980.
Survivors include her son Charles (Linda) Reeder of Celina, three grandchildren: Mary Kathryn Reeder of College Station, Charles Richard Reeder of Austin, and David Christopher Reeder of Celina, and four great-grandchildren: Christen, Lesley, Luke and Hope Elizabeth Reeder, all of Celina.
The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Arthritis National Research Foundation, 2924 Swiss Avenue, Dallas,  Texas 75204.

GARZA
Valentin Ruben Garza,42, of prosper died January 3, 2000 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas.
Graveside services were January 7, 2000 at Old Celina Cemetery under the direction of Cantrell Funeral Home of Celina.
Mr. Garza was born October 3, 1957 in Kerrville, the son of Valentin and Matilda Rodriguez. He was a Catholic and a construction worker.
Survivors include sons: Ruben Garza of Frisco, John Garza of Prosper, Ruben Lee Garza of Princeton, and Johnny Ray Garza of Bridgeport, daughters: Vanessa Garza and Katherine Garza of Bridgeport, and Brandy Garza of Prosper. Also surviving are: his parents Valenin and Matilda Rodriguez of Prosper, his brother: Jesse Garza of Robstown; sister: Diana Perez of Prosper, and one grandchild: Draven Garza.

COLE
Monte Daniel Cole of The Colony died January 2, 2000 at Heritage Gardens in Carrollton. Services were held January 6, 2000 at First United Methodist Church in The Colony. The services were conducted by Dr. Carroll A. Caddell with entombment in Ridgeview Mausoleum in Allen under the direction of Cantrell Funeral Home in Frisco.
Mr. Cole was born November 24, 1921 in Rosebud, the son of the late James Newton and Callie Crystalbell Cox Cole. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith, member of the Colony Masonic Lodge and was a 50 plus year mason, 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner. He was retired from Telex.
He is survived by his wife, Dee Cole of The Colony.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 4901 Paige Rd., The Colony,  Texas 75056.

THOMAS
Elaine Thomas of Allen died January 5, 2000 at North Central Medical Center in McKinney.
Services were held January 7, 2000 Cantrell Funeral Chapel in Frisco conducted by Brother Bob Hooper and J.B. Hooper with interment in Fitzhugh Cemetery in McKinney.
Mrs. Thomas was born December 18, 1942 in McKinney, the daughter of Albert P. and Ray Bridges Hooper. She and Joe Mack Thomas were married May 5, 1961 in Grand Prairie.
She was a member of The Word Center in Frisco and was an insurance secretary.
Survivors include her husband: Joe Mack Thomas of Allen, parents: A.P. & Ray Hooper of Frisco and three sons: Johnny Mack (Brenda) Thomas and Robert Christopher Thomas, all of Allen, and Scott Thomas of McKinney. Other survivors include her brother Bob Hooper of Frisco and grandchildren Crystal Renna', Kaylii, Christopher Joe, and Braeden Perry Thomas.

DODSON
Audrey Mae Dodson of The Colony died December 30, 1999 at Medical Center of Plano.
Services were held January 3, 2000 at Cantrell Funeral Chapel with interment in Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco.
Mrs. Dodson was born August 11, 1941 in Florida, the daughter of the late J.W. and Mary Owens Keel. She married Therin O. Dodson December 20, 1959 in Bainbridge, Georgia. She was a housewife, and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband Therin Dodson of The Colony, her mother, Mary Strickland of Calvery, Georgia, and two sons: Brian Keith (Lisa) Dodson of Garland and James Bert (Karen) Dodson of Carrollton. Also surviving are her sisters: Brenda Gail  White of Atlanta, Georgia and Mary Francis Harriman of Venice Floridaand four grandchildren: Dustin, Taylor, and Garrett Dodson, and Ashley Wise.

THOMAS JACK SMITH
Rev. Thomas (Jack) Smith of Dallas passed away March 31 in Dallas. He was born April 3, 1911 and was a retired Methodist minister. Rev. Smith had been a member of the North  Texas Conference since 1951, and was an active minister for 25 years, preaching some of those years in the Frisco area.
He is survived by granddaughters Kathy Gee and Lisa Worthington, grandsons Bobby and Byron Burgess and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Rev. Smith was preceeded in death by his wife, Edith Smith, daughters, Mary Gray and Jackie Burgess, sons-in-law Leon Gray and DeWayne Burgess, and a grandson, Brian Burgess.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 2 at First United Methodist Church in Seagoville.

BRANDEN RICHARD AHLIN
Branden Richard Ahlin, 9, of The Colony passed away Wednesday, March 31 of SSPE (Subacute Schlerosing Panen-cephalitis) at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.
Services were held at the First Baptist Church in The Colony, and were conducted by Pastor Bruce Scofield. Interment was in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas under the direction of Cantrell Funeral Home of Frisco.
Branden, the son of Ronald Richard Ahlin and Maria Padilla was born June 4, 1989 in Carrollton. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of The Colony.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Maria and Seth Bartley of The Colony, father, Ronald Richard Ahlin of Richardson, and a brother, Brett Ryan Ahlin of The Colony.
Also surviving are grandparents, Maria and Mike Mercurio of The Colony, Ron and Dee Ahlin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ren and Shirley Cousatte of Wichita, Kansas, and great-grandparents Theodore Pantoja Sr. of Kansas City, Kansas, and Agnes and Olin Baucum of Houston.
Pallbearers were Robert Morris, Anthony Pantoja, John Mercurio and Manuel Chavez.

NORRINE NELL HUNTER
Norrine Nell Hunter, 68, of Denison passed away Wednesday, March 31 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Services were held Monday, April 5 at Cantrell Funeral Chapel in Celina with interment in Cottage Hill Cemetery.
Born September 13, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Avie Martin. She was a member of the Baptist faith and was a nurses' aide.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by five daughters, Katy Billy of Cartwright,  Oklahoma, Cathy Smith and Jeannie Looney of Cartwright,  Oklahoma, Judy Bledson of Bokchito,  Oklahoma and Peggy Parker of Durant,  Oklahoma. Also surviving are two sons, Johnnie Hunter and Eddie Hunter, thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceeded in death by five daughters and one grandson.

CECILE FORREST WIER
Cecile Forrest, born November 10, 1924 in Webster Grove, Mo., passed away April 5 in Dallas.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Wier, four sons, Kirk, Jeff, Robbie and Andy, four daughters, Cindy, Susie, Mary, and Lucy, and seventeen grandchildren, Samantha, Tyrel, Brandy, Lindsay, Becky, Emily, Wendy, Holly, Stephanie, Casey, Robbie, Tommy, Cece, Josh, Julie, Melanie, Stacy.
Rosary is Thursday, April 8 at 7 p.m. at Sparkman Hillcrest, Northwest Highway Chapel. A mass will be held Friday, April 9 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Hill Mausoleum in Dallas. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15186, Austin,  Texas 78761.
