Salge
Della Ann Salge, 74, of Mathis died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004.
She was born in Bexar County on Dec. 14, 1930. She graduated from  Texas Lutheran College in 1951 and taught in Mathis from 1953 until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Mathis.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home chapel in Mathis with William Spreen, SAM, officiating. Interment followed in Tynan’s Waldheim Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Spearman, Kyle Jaster, John Person, Richard Bost and Paul and Brian Salge.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Howard D. Salge of Tynan; two sons, Darby (Anita) Salge of Tynan and Morris (Karen) Salge of Bartlesville, Okla.; and three grandchildren, Paul and Brian Salge of Tynan and Courtney Salge of Bartlesville, Okla.
Arrangements were handled through Dobie Funeral Home, Mathis.

Cary
Gladys Prewitt “Mum” Cary, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike and Steve Strickland, Marc, Chad and Jimmy Lester and Chris Bridges.
Mrs. Cary was born in Berclair on April 10, 1916, to William Arthur and Edna (Ball) Prewitt. She married Warren H. Cary in Lake Charles, La., on Oct. 14, 1978. She resided in Corpus Christi and was a homemaker and a Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, Warren H. Cary of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Nancy Barber Strickland of Dequincy, La., and Bridget Porche of California; two stepdaughters, Jackie Cary Raymond of Corpus Christi and Betty Laverne Gaylord of Denver,  Colo.; two stepsons, Bill R. Cary and Robert L. Cary, both of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Roy Lee and Orion Prewitt, both of Beeville; six grandchildren, Michael and Steve Strickland, Shannon Strickland Bridges, Jennifer Lester Dougherty and Marc and Chad Lester; and nine great-grandchildren.

Gonzalez
Noah Gonzalez, 32, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home, with Deacon Manuel Carranco officiating. Funeral services will take place today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Sammy Espinosa officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jose and Paul Sanchez, Joe, Mando and Raul Gonzalez and Danny Guerrero.
Mr. Gonzalez was born in Beeville on Oct. 14, 1972. He was disabled. He was a Christian.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Gonzalez.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Priscilla and Juan Sanchez of Beeville; three brothers, Jose Sanchez of Memphis, Tenn., Juan Sanchez Jr. and Paul Sanchez; a sister, Rose Mary Sanchez and grandmother, Maria Gonzalez, all of Beeville.

Moya
Joe L. Moya, 46, of Somerville died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at his residence.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. A rosary will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Somerville, with the Rev. Bruce Wood, pastor of Aldersgate Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Somerville’s Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mr. Moya was born in Beeville on May 25, 1958, to Santos A. and Lydia (Longoria) Moya. He married Anna DeLeon in Kenner, La., on Oct. 3, 1978. He was preceded in death by his father, Santos Moya, and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Moya of Somerville; his sons and daughter-in-law, Joe Adrian Moya of Beeville, Michael David Moya and wife Monica of College Station and Marcus Dillon Moya of Somerville; his daughters and son-in-law, Maggie May and Manuel Rodriguez of Beeville and Ji Lizzette Moya of Somerville; two sisters, Imelda Moreno and Velma Esquivel; his mother, Lydia Moya, all of Beeville; four grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley-Brenham, 705 S. Austin St., Brenham, TX 77833-4124.
Arrangements were handled through Strickland Funeral Home, Somerville.

Saenz
Anna “Dolly” Delia Saenz died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, in San Antonio.
She was born on April 19, 1940, in Weslaco to Pedro and Vicenta Balderas. She resided in Beeville and Corpus Christi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonel L. Saenz, and daughter, Priscilla Saenz.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda K. Cortez and husband Frank and Laura J. Davis and husband Chris; grandchildren, Oscar Pesina II, Jacob Davis and Brianna Cortez; brothers, Pedro Balderas Jr. and David G. Balderas, along with their wives and children.
Visitation was held Monday from noon until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapel in San Antonio, with a rosary that evening at 7 o’clock. Funeral Mass was celebrated today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church with burial following at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
Arrangements were handled through Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels.

Garza
Nelda Gonzales Garza, 48, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2005.
Visitation was held Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel in George West, with a rosary at 7:30 that evening. Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church in George West with Father Joseph Olikkara officiating. Burial followed in St. George Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ray Gonzales, Paul Martinez, Randy Garcia, Mark Valdez, Anthony Sotelo and George Rosales. Honorary pallbearer was Tony Sotelo.
Mrs. Garza was born in Beeville on May 16, 1956, to Abelino T. Sr. and Graciela (Garcia) Gonzales. She married Cruz Garza Jr. on Dec. 20, 1977, in Beeville. She resided in Maricopa, Ariz. and was employed as a retail manager.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Graciela Garcia Gonzales.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Cruz Garza Jr.; her daughters, Gigi Martinez and husband Paul and Sylvia Garza; a son, Cruz A. Garza and wife Selena; five grandchildren, Varina, Monique, Jacob, Xander and Isabella, all of Maricopa, Ariz.; her father, Abelino T. Gonzales Sr.; three brothers, Ray Gonzales Sr. and wife Alice, Abby Gonzales and wife Francis and Mario Gonzales; two sisters, Roxann Sotelo and Rhonda Gonzales, all of George West; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Miller
Loyd W. Miller, 92, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005.
Visitation was held Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel in Three Rivers. Services followed at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Terry Dowdy officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace.” Burial followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Ray Drozd, Mark W. Muecke, Matthew T. Muecke, Ryan Joseph Miller, Cory James Miller and Tyler Jacob Miller.
Mr. Miller was born in Mexia on March 19, 1912, to Robert James Emmet and Bertha Miller. He married Wanda Ray Deason on Dec. 23, 1947. He was a resident of Three Rivers, and served as a Live Oak County commissioner for 20 years. He was a rancher and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Ray Deason Miller of Three Rivers; two daughters, Linda M. Drozd and husband Eugene of Comfort and Cerie Ann Muecke and husband Michael D. of Bay City; a son, Loyd W. Miller Jr. and wife Rhonda J. of Corpus Christi; eight grandchildren, Laura Gene and Lawrence Ray Drozd, Mark W., Matthew T. and Meredith Muecke, and Ryan Joseph, Cory James and Tyler Jacob Miller; and four great-grandchildren, Devon Drozd, Darien and Haven Drozd-Perez and  Taylor Drozd.

Parks
Mildred June Parks, 80, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at her home in Pettus.
She was born on May 18, 1924, in Kingsville. She was the former owner of a lumber yard in Pettus. She graduated from Pettus High School, was a member of the Bexar Ramblers Club and a member of the O.E.S. of Beeville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pettus.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew  Jackson Stuart, and her mother, Klora Copeland.
Survivors include her husband, L.C. Parks of Pettus; her daughters, Peggy (Michael) Rheinlaender of New Braunfels and Linda (Richmond) Carpenter of Beeville; her son, Larry (Sharon) Parks of Blanchard, Okla.; her sister, Mary Louise Stuart of Santa Rosa,  Calif.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Thursday at Eckols Chapel in Kenedy. Graveside service was held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Mineral Cemetery with the Rev. Wes Barnett officiating.
Arrangements were handled through Eckols Funeral Home, Kenedy.

Riggle
Frankie Rosalie Luthringer Riggle, 82, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005. Frankie Rosalie Luthringer was born in Beeville on Sept. 17, 1922, to Frank and Rosalie Luthringer. Growing up she enjoyed being out-of-doors and horseback riding. She attended school in Beeville and graduated from A.C.  Jones High School in 1940. After graduation she worked for the Soil Conservation Service and the Agricultural Adjustment Administration offices for four years. She married James Riggle of Beeville on July 18, 1944, in Corpus Christi. As a couple they have enjoyed farming and ranching in the Central Community of Bee County for more than 60 years.
James and Frankie gave birth to three daughters. Janice was born in 1946. Cherry arrived in 1948. Patty joined the family in 1956. Frankie’s life was centered in her husband and daughters. Throughout their marriage, James was the love of her life. To family and community she was known as a wonderful cook and center of welcoming hospitality. To her daughters, she provided encouragement and support for their dreams. For her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was “Grandmore” who loved them with open arms.
Both James and Frankie have been active participants of First United Methodist Church Beeville for their entire married lives. While the children were young, Frankie taught Sunday School and assisted with Methodist Youth Fellowship. Early in their marriage, Frankie was introduced to Women’s Society for Christian Service (United Methodist Women) and remained active until the last few months. In addition, she was also a member of Cheers, a local cancer support group.
In her later years, Frankie took pleasure in shopping for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with her family, especially her 80th birthday trip to Canada with her three daughters. When she could no longer be outdoors as much, she liked to feed and watch the wild birds and squirrels in her yard.
Frankie is survived by her husband, James; daughters Janice Riggle Huie and husband Bob of Houston, Cherry Riggle Pichot and husband Claude of Katy and Patty Riggle Bonner and husband Byrd of San Antonio; grandchildren Matthew Riggle Huie and his wife Shambryn, Austin Pichot, Travis Riggle Pichot and his wife Chrissy, Caroline Riggle Bonner and Rosalie Riggle Bonner; great-grandchildren Abigail Reagan Huie and David Riley Huie; sister Aleene Sugarek and husband Edward and brother Blaine Luthringer and wife Joy, all of Beeville. She was preceded in death by her grandson, David Patrick Huie.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A Service of Celebration for the Life and Resurrection of Frankie Riggle will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Beeville with the Rev. Bill Duke presiding. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Riggle Huie, Austin Pichot, Travis Riggle Pichot, Rosalie Riggle Bonner, Caroline Riggle Bonner, Jim Sugarek, Todd Rossow and Clay Luthringer.
Memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund at First United Methodist Church of Beeville, or the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14  Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY 10122.

Delgado
Mary Jane Delgado, 61, of Dallas, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at Baylor University Medical Center.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1943, in Beeville. She was an optical technician and a retired cafeteria worker for the Dallas Independent School District. A graduate of A.C.  Jones High School, she had lived in Dallas since 1968. She was a member of the Catholic church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Delgado, and her mother, Concha Ochoa Delgado.
Survivors include her brother, Eloy (Rose) Delgado of Karnes City; her sister, Hope (Severo) Valdez of Mesquite; two nieces; and one nephew.
Rosary was recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home in Karnes City. Funeral Mass was celebrated today (Wednesday) at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Karnes City with Father Adrian Adamik officiating. Burial followed in Clareville’s San Pedro Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled through Rhodes Funeral Home, Karnes City.
