Mrs. Lopez
Elodia “Ellie” Lopez, 51, of Beeville, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2006.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1954, in Mathis to Alejandra Huerta and Teodoro Villa. On Aug. 21, 1972, she married Benito Lopez in Beeville. She was retired from Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville after 24 years as an LVN. She was Catholic.
Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Teodoro “Pancho” Villa Jr., and one sister, Elia Villa.
She is survived by her husband, Benito Lopez of Beeville; two daughters, Elda Marisol (Cornelio Paiz) Lopez, and Anissa Bianca (Daniel Dominguez) Lopez, both of Beeville; one son, Benny Joel Lopez of Beeville; one sister, Gloria Serrano of Beeville; five grandchildren, Samantha Lemon, Sergio Lemon, Tavia Lemon, James Earl Lockhart and Myteo Villa-Lopez.
Visitation was to be held on Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Burial, to be scheduled at a later date, will be held at Descanso Eterno Cemetery in Mathis.

Mrs. Bashaw
Ann Marie Harrison Bashaw, 70, of Bay City, died on Friday, June 23, 2006, in Houston.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1935, in Clareville to Adonna Josephine Brown and William R.S. Harrison. She retired in the late 1970s from International Harvester, and in 1997 retired from Celanese Chemical Corp., where she worked as an operator. She loved researching genealogy and playing marbles. She was a Methodist.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Doris Herrmann, Gwen Morris and Nan Woods.
She is survived by two sons, Gene Bashaw and wife DeeAnn of Denver,  Colo., and Rocky Bashaw and wife Candi of Pasadena; and two grandchildren, Linzey Sue and Kaitlyn Marie Bashaw, both of Pasadena.
Visitation was held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services were held there today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. with burial following at Clareville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Pat Jewel, Harold Herrmann Jr., Clint  Woods and Don Woods. Honorary pallbearers were William Morris and Garland Harrison.

Mr. Caylor
William A. Caylor, 83, of Kingsland, died on Wednesday, June 21, 2006.
He was born May 19, 1923, in Oakdale, La., to Chester Arthur and Lottie Permila (Seale) Caylor.
Mr. Caylor proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Geneva Smith on Feb. 16, 1946, in Luling. He retired from Halliburton after 33 years of service in various positions, including safety instructor. He was a member of and very active in the First Assembly of God Church in Marble Falls. He was a teacher and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ralph, Bobby Joe and C.A. Caylor; and one sister, Helen Maxine Meek.
Mr. Caylor is survived by his wife, Geneva Smith Caylor; one daughter, Karen Ann Haefs and husband Richard; one son, Robert Caylor; two brothers, Jack and Harold Caylor; one sister, Patsy Martin; four grandchildren, Lori Ann Wilbanks and husband Bill; Rick Haefs and wife Beth; Dan Haefs and wife Nadine; Diana VerStrat and husband Scott; and seven great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jaiden and Olivia Wilbanks, Matthew and Rachel VerStrat and Danielle and Cerena Haefs.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the First Assembly of God Church in Marble Falls with Pastor Kenneth Womack officiating. Interment followed at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet.
Sympathy memorials may be made to JLTLC (Jesus Loves the Little Children), P.O. Box 881, West Columbia,  Texas 77486.
Arrangements were made by Putnam Funeral Home in Kingsland.

Mr. Cisneros
Jose “Monterrey Joe” Cisneros, 86, of Beeville, died on Friday, June 23, 2006, at Beeville Regional Nursing Home.
Also known as “Joe Monterrey,” he was born on Dec. 26, 1919, in Saltillo, Mexico, to Paula Mendez and Clemente Cisneros. On July 7, 1945, he married Maria Marquez in Monterrey, Mexico. Mr. Cisneros was self-employed as a professional tile setter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Eulogio, Florencio, Jose and Felipe Cisneros; three sisters, Felipa, Maria Elena and Florentina; one daughter, Raymunda Cisneros; and three grandchildren, Christy Ann, Christopher James Hernandez and Gilbert Cisneros.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Marquez Cisneros of Beeville; four daughters, Maria Isabel (Guadalupe) Perez of Corpus Christi, Teresa (Ted) Hernandez of Tyler, Angie (Louis) Rodriguez and Carmen Cisneros, both of Beeville; six sons, Guadalupe (Enedina) Cisneros of McAllen, Javier (Debra) Cisneros of Tyler, Filipe Cisneros of Corpus Christi, Fernando (Olga), Jose (Lucy), Robert (Selsa) and Jerald (Eva) Cisneros, all of Beeville; two sisters, Delfina Garza of San Antonio and Josefina Aguilar of McAllen; 45 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Lukose J. Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Guadalupe, Fernando, Javier, Joe, Robert and Jerald Cisneros and Guadalupe Perez.

Mr. Royal
Clayson D. Royal, 49, of Three Rivers, died Sunday, June 25, 2006.
He was born on May 6, 1957, in Beeville to Bernice Hahn Royal and Gerald Ralph Royal Sr. He married Jamye Williams on Feb. 13, 1981, in George West. Mr. Royal was a member of the Three Rivers Church of Christ and a shift supervisor at the Valero Refinery in Three Rivers. He also was a member of the Little League District 29 Umpire Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Ralph Royal Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Jamye Royal of Three Rivers; two sons, Ryan Royal and Jayson Royal, both of Three Rivers; a daughter,  Taylor Royal of Three Rivers; his mother, Bernice Royal Henderson of Beeville; a brother, Gerald Ralph (Judy) Royal Jr. of Refugio; a sister, Robin Royal of Round Rock; and three nieces, Jennifer Royal, Michelle Burger and Victoria Howard.
Visitation was held Tuesday at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers. The funeral service was held this morning (Wednesday) at 10 o’clock at the Three Rivers Church of Christ with Mr. Don  Jones officiating and Cliff Hunter as soloist. Burial followed at the George West Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scott Royal, Glenn Royal, Donnie Zamzow, Kevin Self, Shane Johanson, Greg Likens, Jayson Royal and Ryan Royal.

Mr. Smith
Curtis E. Smith died on Sunday, June 25, 2006, in a Corpus Christi nursing home.
He was born in  Oklahoma on July 17, 1915, and moved to Corpus Christi with his family in 1957, residing there until his death. Mr. Smith worked in the oil and gas industry of  Texas from 1937 until his retirement from Enron in 1979. He was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. Prior to his illness, Mr. Smith actively attended Ethel Eyerly Senior Citizen Center of Flour Bluff with his wife, Grace, and both were members of Guys & Dolls Dance Club of Beeville. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Lillie Rodenbeck Smith; one sister, Louise Thomison; and one brother, James Q. Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Petrus Smith of Skidmore; his son, Kenneth Q. Smith (Patricia Clewell) of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Linda Smith Harvey of Tyler; one stepson, Robert Sugarek of Skidmore; one granddaughter, Jennifer Haertig (Wayne) of Baytown; four grandsons, Michael Q. Smith (Tanya) and Brian J. Smith (Candace), both of Corpus Christi, and Matthew and Andrew Harvey, both of Tyler; one sister, Jean Langley of Houston; and six great-grandchildren, Brittain and Riley Haertig, Ryker and Maisyn Smith and Quentin and Mikenly Smith.
A short visitation was held at 9 a.m. Tuesday before the funeral service at 10 a.m. at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment followed at Seaside Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Michael and Brian Smith, Robert Sugarek, Wayne Haertig, Jason Gillespie and Grant Garrett.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the charity of your choice.
Arrangements were made by Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, Corpus Christi.

Mr. Reagan
James H. “Jimmie” Reagan, 68, formerly of Beeville, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at his residence in Beaumont.
He was born on Jan. 11, 1938, in Beeville to Nannie Hatcher and Charles M. Reagan. Mr. Reagan was a 1957 graduate of A.C.  Jones High School and served three years in the U.S. Army. He retired from Goodyear Chemical after 37 years of service and enjoyed hunting and camping. He married Sherry Carter on Dec. 26, 1985, in the First Presbyterian Church in Beeville.
Mr. Reagan was preceded in death by his parents, Nannie and Charles M. Reagan; and one brother, Dick Reagan.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Reagan of Beaumont; brother, Charles Reagan and wife Jeannie of Taft; two sisters, Beth Mock and husband Roy of San Antonio and Jane Hardy and husband Buddy of Beeville; one sister-in-law, Sue Reagan of Corpus Christi; numerous nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. today (Saturday) at China Cemetery in China. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Beeville at 11 a.m. today (Saturday) with Rev. Mark Spence officiating.
Arrangements were made by Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont.

Mrs. Treviño
Olivia Aleman Treviño, 60, formerly of Beeville, died on Friday, June 9, 2006, in Tucson, Ariz.
She was born on Feb. 8, 1946, in Goliad to Evarista Ortega and Pedro Aleman, Sr. She married Daniel Treviño in 1981 in Beeville. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Treviño was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, seven brothers and one sister.
She is survived by one son, James Santellana (Ruby) of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Gracie Gutierrez of Tucson, Ariz.; one grandson, Nicholas Jaymes Santellana of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Eva Arrellano and Mary (Nicolas) Mata, both of Beeville; one brother, Roberto Aleman of Rockport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Lukose J. Thirunelliparambil officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery No. 2.

Mr. Broadway
Jarrell Hake Broadway, age 86, passed away peacefully in Austin,  Texas on June 19, 2006. He was born in Stockdale,  Texas on November 5, 1919, the son of John Hill Broadway and Myrtle Lois Stevenson. Mr. Broadway is the great-grandson of Wade Hampton Broadway, a Confederate soldier who died from wounds at the Battle of Peachtree Creek. His widowed great-grandmother brought her children from Alabama to Madison County,  Texas, around 1870. Raised on family farms in Wilson and Bee counties, Mr. Broadway graduated from Pettus High School. He married Wynona Dudley, his high school sweetheart, on February 10, 1940 in Victoria,  Texas. They lived in Aransas Pass during World War II, and when unable to enlist due to medical problems, Mr. Broadway worked in the shipyards in order to serve his country. They lived for many years in Beeville and El Campo  Texas, and later retired in Boerne. He is preceded in death by Wynona, his wife of 61 years, his brother L J Broadway, sisters Vera Laura (Broadway) Hander, and Mildred Hope (Broadway) Glentzer. Surviving sisters are Mary Beatrice (Broadway) Harms of Ponca City,  Oklahoma, and Johnie Marie Broadway of Athens, Georgia, and sister in law, Rita Florice Montgomery (Broadway), of Beeville.. Mr. Broadway began a sheet-metal contracting business in Beeville, and then greatly expanded it in El Campo, with his crews working from Houston to Victoria and all along the coastal bend. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years, a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. For 54 years, he was a deacon in the Baptist Church. An avid fisherman, especially in the pursuit of large catfish, he was a master of trotlines on Lake Corpus Christi at Mathis,  Texas. Hake and Wynona Broadway had four children. Cherry Hope Lancharic, and her husband, James V. of Cibolo, TX , Lynda Sue Hester, and her husband, Tom of Utopia, TX , James Dudley and his wife, Deborah Carroll of Kyle, TX , and Mary Joyce Adkins, and her husband, Mason of Austin, TX. His grandchildren are: Lynda Renee(Lancharic) Zavala, Sandra (Lancharic) Etheridge and Natalie Lancharic; Lesley (Hester) Foyt, Amy (Hester) Stringer, Hill Broadway, Molly Broadway, Keane Carroll and Shane Carroll (currently serving in the lst Infantry in Germany). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held on June 23, 2006, at 11:00am, at Galloway Funeral Home in Beeville,  Texas. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Persons wishing to honor the memory of Mr. Broadway may do so by making a donation to the South  Texas Childrens Home.

Mr. Galindo
Trinidad “Trino” Galindo Sr., 68, died on Saturday, June 17, 2006, at his daughter’s residence after a long illness.
He was born on June 12, 1938, in Campbellton to Ruperta Reyna and Manuel Galindo.
Mr. Galindo was retired from City Cleaners as a laundry presser. He was also a retired musician.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tomas B. Galindo; one son, Ruben Moya; and one brother, Ernesto Galindo.
He is survived by five daughters, Nelda Baggio, Sandra Cuevas, Nordela Martinez and Crystal Galindo, all of Beeville, and Denise Vasquez of Freer; six sons, Cesario and Joe Henry Moya, both of New Orleans, La., Eloy and Juan Moya and Trino Galindo Jr., all of Beeville, and Manuel Galindo of George West; one brother, Pedro Galindo of San Antonio; three sisters, Erlinda and Victoria Galindo of Austin and Lydia Galindo of Brownwood; 33 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Rosary was recited on Monday at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Special music was provided by Fernando Cisneros. Burial followed at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Manuel Galindo, Trino Galindo Jr., Joe Manuel Galindo, Trino Galindo III, Jason Lee Cuevas and John David Moya.
