Mrs. Reagan
Mary Gloria (Christakos) Reagan, 84, of Beeville died on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006.
She was born on Aug. 10, 1922, in Beeville to Thelma Benham Boyle and John Christakos. She married James Lawrence Reagan on Sept. 14, 1946, in Beeville. She earned a bachelor’s degree and was a registered nurse for 50 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Beeville, where she was also a member of Women of the Church and the choir. She was a homemaker and loved the outdoors.
Mrs. Reagan was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Lawrence Reagan, in 2004; and her parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Stephany Compton and husband Richard of Denton, Gloria Winston and husband Tom of Corpus Christi, and Robbin Mitchell of Redway,  Calif.; two sons, John C. Reagan and Lawrence Tom Reagan, both of Beeville; two grandchildren, Dr. Thomas S. Winston of Amarillo and Meridithe P. Stafslien of Auburn,  Calif.; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maureen Hunter of Freer and Lou Avis Thompson and husband Tommy of Laredo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Charles Galbraith officiating. Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.

Mrs. Koch
Bonnie Myrtle Yancey Koch, 93, of Joshua Tree,  Calif., died on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006.
She was born on June 20, 1913, in Roseberry, Idaho, to Eva Lemen Yancey and Jerry Yancey. She was an egg candler and worked as a riveter during World War II. An active woman, she loved to dance.
Mrs. Koch was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Koch, on Dec. 3, 1995; one sister, Marie Roach; and three brothers, Jerry, Robert and Gordon Yancey.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Chesshir of Beeville; two sons, Douglas Bean of Montrose,  Colo., and Jerry Bean of Cambria,  Calif.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Winnifred Yancey; and one brother, Frank Yancey.
A memorial service will be held in Yucca Valley,  Calif., on Sunday, Oct. 22.

Mrs. Finke
Georgie Alma Chopelas Finke, 77, of Beeville died on Friday, Oct. 6, 2006.
She was born on July 31, 1929, in West Sinton. She was a homemaker and a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Tynan.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kelley Finke.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Alton Finke of Beeville; one daughter, Karlen (John) Person of Mathis; one sister, Amelia Ferguson of Beeville; and two grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service was held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan. Pallbearers were Nick Person, Edroy Schroedter, H.H. Laechelin, Clarence Chopelas, Phillip Finke, Leon Svetlik and Luke Person.
Arrangements were by Dobie Funeral Home in Mathis.

Mrs. Moreno
Beatris (Torres) Moreno, 99, of Tynan, died on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006.
She was born Sept. 26, 1907, in Beeville to Juan and Espetacion (Treviño) Torres. She was a homemaker and member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Tynan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pablo Moreno Sr., in 1982; and a daughter, Paulita Moreno.
Survivors include four daughters, Juanita (Juan) Ramirez of Tynan, Anita (Felipe) Serrano of Sinton, Rosita Asevedo of Tynan, formerly of Detroit, Mich., and Dora (Ignacio) Ramirez of Skidmore; three sons, Mauricio and Eduardo (Lucy) Moreno, all of Sinton, and Pablo (Rosie) Moreno Jr. of San Antonio; 32 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
A Rosary was recited on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home Chapel in Mathis. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Tynan, with Father Gabriel Coelho officiating. Interment followed at Waldheim Cemetery in Tynan.
Pallbearers were Candelario Serrano, Adrian Ramirez, Michael Ramirez, James Ramirez, Johnny Ramirez and Ron Michael Mullins.
Arrangements were under the direction of Dobie Funeral Home in Mathis.

Mrs. Trial
Janet Kathleen Steubing Trial, 64, of Beeville, died on Friday, Oct. 6, 2006.
She was born on Sept. 1, 1942, in San Antonio to Kathleen Riggs Steubing and Charles Steubing. On Oct. 18, 1997, she married C.B. Trial in Goliad. Mrs. Trial was a retired school teacher from Beeville ISD where she taught at the FMC campus. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, C.B. Trial of Beeville; three sons, Ben Wilson and wife Nohemi of College Station, Brad Wilson of Houston and Bart Wilson and wife Happy of San Antonio; two stepdaughters, Terri Sparks of Beeville and Christie Quijano of Sugar Land; one sister, Penny Sweezy of Cedar Hill; one brother, Spanky Steubing of Savannah, Ga.; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at First Christian Church. Funeral services were held there at 2 p.m. with Rev. Geraldine Huckman officiating. Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Trey Wilson, H.N., USN, C.B. Trial, Ben Wilson, Brad Wilson, Bart Wilson and Jamie Miles.
Donations may be made to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund, 715 N. St. Mary’s St., Beeville, TX, 78102 or to their favorite charity.

Mrs. Trotter
Corriene Trotter, 78, of Tulsa, Okla. was released from all earthly pain on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, after a long battle with a rare nerve disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth.
She was born on June 6, 1928 in Wilson, Okla. She enjoyed fishing, painting ceramics and canvas, dancing, playing cards, spending time with her family and drinking Dr. Pepper. She was a charter member of the Rosenberg Rebekah Lodge #235 where she held position in every office up to Noble Grand and beyond. She then became a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows.
“Granny” was loved dearly by all who knew her and will be missed greatly by her friends and family. She was a strong, independent woman, and was always willing to help others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Travis in June of 1987; her sister, Katherine Mullins and brother-in-law, Bill Mullins.
Granny is survived by her three children, Donna Villines of Tulsa, Okla., Joe Trotter of  Oklahoma City, Okla., and Judy Mees of Cameron; nine grandchildren, Skip Trotter, Chad (Kathy) Morgan, Judith (Andy) Ursitti , Zaundra (Doug) Ellis, Toni (Jack) Reed, Joseph (Sheryl) Trotter, D’Arcy (Coleman) Born, Lori (Bruce) Wallace and Brian (Jody) Mees; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends.
Visitation was held at Thompson Funeral Home in Jacksonville from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jarratt Cemetery in the Turney Community with Jerry “J.W.” Hull officiating. Granny was interred with a bottle of her favorite drink by her side.

Mr. Brundrett
Edward P. Brundrett Jr., 64, of Skidmore died on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1942, in Beeville to Wilma Anderson Brundrett and Edward Payne Brundrett. He graduated from Skidmore-Tynan High School in 1960 and attended  Texas A&I University in Kingsville. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam from 1961 to 1965. On Jan. 11, 1969, he married Henrietta Sahm in George West.
Mr. Brundrett was Bee County emergency management coordinator. He was a civil service employee at NAS Chase Field and retired from NAS Kingsville. He was also a past board member for both the Skidmore-Tynan Independent School District and Bee County Junior Livestock and Homemakers Show, and safety director for Bee Community Action Agency.
Mr. Brundrett was a retired EMT for Skidmore EMS, a charter member of Skidmore Fire Department and was assistant chief for 44 years. He was also assistant secretary of Guadalupe Firemen’s and Fire Marshal’s Association, a past church council president at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tynan and served as Little League softball coach. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Mr. Brundrett was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Nancy Syma.
Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Brundrett of Skidmore; one daughter, Heidi Lynn Brundrett of New Braunfels; one sister, Alice Titus of Aransas Pass; one uncle, J.W. Brundrett of Normanna; several nieces, nephews, cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Don  Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore.
Pallbearers were Joe Cramer, John Cramer, Allen Bohac, Ricky Bohac, Eddie Salas, Reagan Mortenson, Sandy Lopez, Bill Hartman and Bobby Cramer. Honorary pallbearers were Russ Duggins, John L. Lynch, John Henry Henkhaus and Ricky Olivarez.
Those who wish may make donations to the Skidmore Volunteer Fire Department or the Faith Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Mr. Garza
Ralph G. Garza Jr., 70, of Beeville, died on Friday, Nov. 24, 2006 in a Corpus Christi Hospital.
He was born on April 21, 1936, in Beeville to Valentina Gutierrez and Rafael Garza. He was a car salesman for several car dealerships. He was Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Idalia Franco Garza of Beeville; two daughters, Teresa (Trino) Gonzales and Cheryl (Raymond) Valdez both of Beeville; three sons, Rafael Garza III and Joseph C. Garza both of Beeville, and Roy (Mary Ann) Garza of Callalen; two sisters, Mary Rojas and Estella (Julio) Sanchez, both of Beeville; three brothers, Frank, Johnny (Mary) and Luz Garza, all of Beeville; 15 grandchildren, Trisha (Vidal) Salas, Tammy Gonzales, Tracy Gonzales, Ralph Garza IV, Gabriel (Jessica) Valdez, Priscilla (Ruben) Castillo, Raymond D. Valdez, Demi Rincon, Mary Jane Garza, Christpher Garza, Melissa Garza, Laura Garza, Devin Garza, Jade Garza and Lori Garza; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and
Noah.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was
celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke
officiating. Interment followed at Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Christopher
Garza, RAymond D. Valdez, Gabriel Valdez, Vidal Salas, Ruben Castillo, and Daniel Mesquita.
Honorary pallbearers were Israel Franco, Eradio Franco, Ralph Garza IV, Devin Garza, Abel Carabajal Sr., Simon Garza and Gavino Quintanilla.
