Bull
Michael David Bull, 19, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, in a Corpus Christi hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 3 p.m. at the same location, with Rev. Geraldine Huckman and Chaplain Mike Mantooth officiating. Burial will follow in the Mineral Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Josh Stanley, David Mentor, Chris Barrett, Gary Beauchamp, Chris Skau, Cody Simmons, Mike Kelly and Michael King.
Michael was born on April 6, 1984, in Corpus Christi. He was a 2002 graduate of Pettus High School. He was a member of First Christian Church in Pettus and a correctional officer at the TDCJ Connally Unit.
Survivors include his parents, Charles T. and Connie D. Rollings of Pettus and Sue B. and Michael Gregory of Mobile, Ala.; a brother, Clayton Ross Sontag of Iola; three sisters, Kathy Ann Bull of Pettus, Bobbie Sue Rollings of Austin and Tisa Lendemann and husband Jason of Manor; his maternal grandparents, Cliff and Mickie Davis of Mineral; and hundreds of friends.

Goza
John Maynard Goza Sr., 63, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services will take place Friday at 10:30 a.m. at that location, with the Revs. Ken Walker and Brian Simon officiating. Special music will include “In the Garden” and “In His Time,” with vocalist Ron Bissett.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Tim, Warren, Jennie, Andrea and Nicki Goza and Robyn Delgado. Honorary pallbearers will be W.J. Kidd, Hollis Scott, Walter Henry, Rex Lewis, Charles Freeze, Garland Bramblett and Lt. Ben Anderson.
Mr. Goza was born on Feb. 2, 1940, to John Irving and Jennie Lucille Goza. He married Ruth Ellen Walker on Dec. 5, 1958, in Normanna Baptist Church. He was a meter technician for Arco Oil and Gas and retired in 1992 after having worked there 26 years. He then went to work for the  Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where he worked in transportation as a driver for five years. He was a member of Normanna Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ellen Walker Goza of Normanna; two sons, John Maynard Goza Jr. and wife Sheryl and Timothy Wade Goza and wife Betty, all of Normanna; a sister, Helen Bissett and husband Ray of Beeville; seven grandchildren, Robyn Delgado and husband Kirk of Beeville, Jennie, Andrea, Tim, Nicki and Erik Goza, all of Normanna, and Warren Goza of Brookshire; and two nephews, Ron Bissett of Weslaco and Rick Bissett of Houston.
Memorials may be sent to the Normanna Baptist Church.

Hinojosa
Janie Foisner Hinojosa, 69, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, in Willis. She was a former Beeville resident.
Prayer service was held Saturday at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at that location with the Rev. Moises Gonzales officiating. Burial followed in Cemeterio Evangelico.
Pallbearers were Leo and Frank Foisner, Juan Cisneros, I.B. Benavidez, Adolfo Moreno, Lee Hampton and George Hinojosa.
Mrs. Hinojosa was born on Aug. 5, 1934, in El Campo to Leopoldo and Gumecinda (Benavidez) Foisner. She was a housewife and a Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, Jesus Hinojosa; two daughters, Mary Jane Gomez and Linda Esparza; a son, Jorge Hinojosa, all of Willis; two brothers, Leopoldo Foisner Jr. of Pearland and Frank Foisner of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Kruger
Louie E. Kruger, 86, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003.
He was born on Nov. 11, 1916, in Ben Arnold to Herman Kruger and Emma (Helm) Kruger-Voigt. He married Viola “Boots” Schubert on Nov. 13, 1937, in Orange Grove. They were married 65 years. They lived in the Odem-Edroy area for 30 years before moving to Tynan, where they resided another 30 years. Mr. Kruger worked for San Patricio County Co-op from 1965 until he retired in 1981.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his later years, he gardened and played dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Fritz Kruger, and a sister, Hilda Jaster.
Survivors include his wife, Viola; a son, Ron (Sandy) Kruger of Refugio; a grandson, Reagan (Stephanie) Kruger; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlin, all of Huffman.
Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dobie Funeral Home chapel in Mathis. Interment followed in Tynan’s Waldheim Cemetery. Pallbearers were Reagan Kruger, Larry Schubert, Julius Helm, Joe Schubert, Dale Schubert and Jack Freitag.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Peace United Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 124, Tynan, TX 78391.

McMillan
Gertrude R. McMillan, 90, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, in Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Visitation was held Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Berthold officiating. Special music included “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.” Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Paul Minnitti, James Taylor, Harold Reese, Clyde Ethridge, John Teague and Sandy Benavidez. Honorary pallbearer was John Gutierrez.
Mrs. McMillan was born on Sept. 14, 1912, in Frederick, Okla., to Walter and Emma (Ellis) Randolph. She married Otis Lane on March 23, 1933, in  Oklahoma City, Okla. She resided in Beeville and was a retired nurse’s assistant. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Genevieve Ladd of Lubbock and Jane Cecil and husband Harry of Beeville; four grandsons, Philip Bell of Sacramento,  Calif., Paul Minnitti and wife Kathy of Bentonville, Ark., Ron Minnitti of Olympia, Wash., and Kenneth Bell of Sacramento,  Calif.; two granddaughters, Kathy  Taylor and husband James of Canoga Park,  Calif., and Roxanne Layug and husband Will of Olympia, Wash.; three great-granddaughters, Joanna Minnitti of Fresno,  Calif., Bridgette Bell of  Oklahoma City, Okla., and Danielle Layug of Olympia, Wash.; and one great-grandson, Anthony Layug of Olympia, Wash.

Moore
Adrian Moore, 73, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, in Bryan.
Visitation was held Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Mark Spence and Sam Steele of College Station officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace,” “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Because You Love Me,” with organist Everett McAulay and soloist Charlotte Smith. Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Horton, Robert Runnels, Tommy  Schmidtt, Leroy Magill, Gary Eckel and Nick Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Landrum, Freddie Lee Williams, George Blackmon, E.M. Herrmann, Brad Finch, Sam Schwartz, Bill Brandeau, Ricky Bernal, Glen Ploch, Andy Varnan, Rudy Fojtik and John Bell.
Mr. Moore was born on Oct. 26, 1929, in Alice to Riley Columbus and Ora (Jones) Moore. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Carol Kennard in December 1949 in Laredo, Mexico. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a rural route carrier. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a grandson, Coy Kensinger, and a brother, Riley C. Moore Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Bunny Kensinger and husband Geoffrey; his grandchildren, Amberly and Troy Kensinger, all of College Station; a niece, Judy Moore of Dallas; two nephews, Nick Moore of Dallas and Tom  Schmidtt of Port Aransas; and a special friend, Jan Ray of Beeville.

Shook
Annie Ruth Shook, 91, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003.
Visitation was held Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services followed at 11 a.m. at the same location with Bob Patterson officiating. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Kyle Mansker, Jack Elder, Leonard Jones, David Shepherd, Clyde Sublett and Larry Adams.
Mrs. Shook was born on Aug. 14, 1911, in San Saba County to John W. and Alice Marilda (Bardin) Williams. She married Clarence Henry Shook on Nov. 17, 1935, in Brownwood. She resided in Beeville and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ and active in all church activities. She was involved in the Parent-Teachers Association. She was also employed by the Bee County Livestock Auction for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, and her daughter, Vera Lee Shook Dixon, who died in 1996.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna M. Chapman of Corpus Christi; two granddaughters, Lisa Chapman DeLao and husband Steven and Paige Chapman Najvar and husband David, all of Austin; one great-grandchild, Noah David Najvar of Austin; a son-in-law, Carlton E. Dixon and wife Naomi of Beeville; and many nieces and nephews.

Howell
Donna L. Howell, 55, of Wisconsin Dells, Wis., died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2003, at her residence.
She was born on Sept. 18, 1947, in Beloit, Wis., to Joseph and Irene (Waldo) Prindle. She moved to Adams County in 2001 to take care of her father. She enjoyed reading, computers, bowling and working puzzles.
Ms. Howell is preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by her father, Joseph E. Prindle Sr. of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.; two daughters, Kathy Stone of Beeville and Tammy Rivas of Kingsville; four brothers, Joe Prindle Jr., Steve Prindle and John Prindle of Wisconsin Dells and Mike Prindle of  Texas; a sister, Fay Cunningham of Lyndon Station, Wis.; five grandchildren, Jay and Amanda Stone of Beeville and Jacqueline, Adrian and Jennifer Rivas of Kingsville; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Roseberry’s Funeral Home & Crematory of Friendship, Wis., is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences are available at www.roseberrys.com.

Scott
Ola Belle (Dubose) Scott, 80, of Pensacola, Fla., died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003.
Mrs. Scott was born Feb. 18, 1923, in Beeville to Mary Frances Crawford and Jessie W. Dubose. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Mt. Zion Bible Church in Pensacola where she gave generously of her time.
Survivors include her husband, Millard C. Scott; sons and daughters-in-law, William Lloyd and Vi Isaacks and Richard and Clare Isaacks; grandchildren, David and Kristy Isaacks, Jay and Michelle Isaacks; and great-grandchildren, Coleman and Cameron Isaacks.
Graveside services and interment were at 10:15 p.m. Friday at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, with Pastor Jeff Pollard of Mt. Zion Bible Church officiating.
Faith Chapel Funeral Home in Pensacola, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.

Banda
Eluterio Banda, 90, of Mathis died Monday, April 26, 2004.
The family will receive friends for visitation today (Wednesday) from 2 to 9 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home chapel in Mathis. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis on Thursday at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at the Guadalupe Cemetery in Fashing.
Survivors include five daughters, Josephine Solis of Little Rock, Ark., Angie Moreno, Juanita Estrada and Eva Thompson, all of Illinois, and Gregoria Anzualda of Snook; three sons, Guadalupe Banda of San Antonio, Francisco Banda of Sandia and Robert Banda of Mathis; two sisters, Merihelda Banda and Isidra Banda, both of Karnes City; a brother, Daniel Banda of San Antonio; 32 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Treviño Funeral Home, Mathis
