Mrs. Alvarez
Beverly Ann Alvarez, 57, of Beeville died on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006.
She was born on April 14, 1949, in Shreveport, La., to Claudine Smith Hale and Roy D. Hale. She married Adam Perales Alvarez on Aug. 30, 1990, in Beeville. She was a member of Word of Life Church and was employed as a nurse’s aide.
Survivors include her husband, Adam P. Alvarez of Beeville; three sons, David Franklin Gorman of Haughton, La., Robert Alan Sexton and Randy Keith Sexton, both of Beeville; three grandchildren, Destiny Ann Sexton, Kyle David Gorman and Keith Gavin Sexton; her parents, Roy D. and Claudine S. Hale of Doyline, La., and one brother, Steve D. Hale of Doyline, La.
Visitation was held on Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. A prayer service was held there at 7 p.m. with Pastor Doyle Barnett officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, La. Funeral services will be held there at 10 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Jesse Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, La.
Arrangements were by Angelus Funeral Home in Beeville,  Texas.

Mr. Castro
Funeral services are pending at Trevino Funeral Home for Tomas Castro. Mr. Castro, 72, of Beeville, died today, Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Mrs. Cisneros
Maria M. Cisneros, 80, of Beeville died on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006.
She was born on Oct. 13, 1926, in Palau, Coahuila, Mexico, to Dionisia Zapata Marquez and Simon Marquez. She married Jose Isabel Cisneros in Monterrey, Mexico, on July 7, 1945, and moved to Beeville in 1970. Mrs. Cisneros was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Juan Marquez; one daughter, Raymunda Cisneros; three grandchildren, Gilbert Cisneros, Christy Ann Hernandez and Christopher James Hernandez; and one great-granddaughter, Tabitha Perez.
She is survived by 11 children, Guadalupe (Enedina) Cisneros of McAllen, Maria Isabel (Guadalupe) Perez and Felipe Cisneros, both of Corpus Christi, Fernando (Olga) Cisneros, Joe (Lucy) Cisneros, Robert (Selsa) Cisneros, Angie (Louis) Rodriguez, Carmen Cisneros and Jerald (Eva) Cisneros, all of Beeville, and Javier (Debra) Cisneros and Teresa (Ted) Hernandez, both of Tyler; 45 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Guadalupe, Fernando, Javier, Felipe, Joe, Robert, Jerald Cisneros, and Guadalupe Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Cisneros Jr., Joe Cisneros Jr., Louis Rodriguez III, Frankie Cisneros, Jose Fernando Cisneros, Jesse James Hernandez, Ernest Perez, Phillip Cisneros, Jerald Cisneros Jr., and Eddie Cuellar.

Mr. Hopkins
Orville Eugene “Buzz” Hopkins, 93, of Pettus died on Monday, Dec. 18, 2006.
He was born on March 5, 1913, in McAlester, Okla., to Elizabeth Cambron and Morgan Charles Hopkins. He married Edith Marie Oujesky in Houston on Aug. 12, 1939. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Hopkins was a member and past president of the Rotary Club in Pettus; member of the Pettus Volunteer Fire Department; and was a past manager of Little League and Pony League teams in Pettus. He was also a Scoutmaster for four years in Refugio and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Wanda Watkins and Elizabeth Munn.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Edith Marie Hopkins of Pettus; two sons, Morgan Joe Hopkins and wife Betty of Porter, and Orville Eugene “Pinky” Hopkins and wife Carol of Spring; one daughter, Deborah Kay Mills and husband Jerry of Pleasanton; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Don Hopkins and wife Ann of San Rafael,  Calif.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville, with a rosary to be recited there at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pettus with Father Joseph Varghese officiating. Special music “Ave Maria,” “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Old Rugged Cross” will be performed by organist and soloist Roy Cox. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Joe Hopkins, Pinky Hopkins, Jerry Mills, Jerry Mills Jr., Kurt Hopkins, Paul McCluney, Ralph Zendejas, Michael Bierman and Donny Schroeder.

Mrs. Kraber
Gudrun “Becky” Kraber, 83, of Normanna went to continue eternal life with the Lord Jesus and his heavenly hosts on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006.
She was born on Feb. 19, 1923, in Normanna to Gudrun Husvik and Ottar Beck. She married Richard Edward Kraber on May 3, 1944, in Santa Monica,  Calif. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She worked as a secretary for McDonald Douglas Aircraft Corporation of Santa Monica,  Calif.
She was preceded through Heaven's gates by her parents, Ottar and Gudrun Husvik Beck, her sister Lena Dahl and her beloved husband of 63 years, Richard Edward Kraber.
Survivors include two children, Sonja Yvonne Kraber of Normanna and Gary Richard Kraber and wife Nancy of Rescue,  Calif.; six grandchildren, Kimberly Garza of Fairfield,  Calif., and Noelle, Danielle, Monique, Vanessa and Lorena Falcon, all of Rescue,  Calif.; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margo Etherington and husband Bob of Alamama.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Morrow
Sue Ellen Morrow, 88, of Grandfield, Okla., died on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, in Burkburnett.
She was born Dec. 27, 1917, in Shreveport, La., to Lilla Francis (Bayne) Scott and Claude Hendxic Scott. She graduated from Ringgold High School in Ringgold, La. She married William Judson Morrow on March 10, 1935, in Coushatta, La. She was a member of the  Texas Extension Educators Association, the Extension Study Club and served as president and state delegate of the Town and County Extension Club. Mrs. Morrow was also a member of the Like-A-Bee Club and was voted “County Club Member of the Year”. She served as a voter election official and was a county chairman and treasurer for many years. She also worked in the Beeville First Baptist Church nursery for 50 years, served as a substitute for the First Baptist Church School and as supervisor of the Big A’s Children’s Group. She was a civic servant for the Brownie and Girl Scouts of American’s Movement for about 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Judson Morrow; a sister, Mildred Scott Thomas; and two brothers, Wilburn LeRoy Scott and Claude Henry Scott.
She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Ellen Ruth Morrow and Patricia Ann Morrow Dudenhoeffer and husband Clay of Grandfield, Okla.; one brother, Robert Bayne Scott and wife Margaret of Ringgold, La.; three grandsons, Kelvin, Kurt and Kacey; and two great-grandsons.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Grandfield, Okla., with Dr. Bob Church, pastor, and Chaplain Randy Osburn of Wichita Falls officiating. Interment followed in the Grandfield Memorial Cemetery in Grandfield, Okla.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 519, Beeville, TX 78104, or to the First Baptist Church, 101 E. 3rd, Grandfield, OK 73546.
Arrangements were by Gray Funeral Home in Grandfield, Okla.

Mr. Owens
James A. Owens, 68, of Corpus Christi died on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006.
He was born on Jan. 6, 1938, in Live Oak County to Vera Mae Parr and Albert Clyde Owens. He was a diesel mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Vera Mae Owens.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Warner and husband Frank of La Vernia; one son, James “Jim” Owens Jr. of Austin; two grandchildren, Joshua and Cody Warner of La Vernia; and one sister, Barbara Chandler and husband Bobby of Robstown.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Three Rivers Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Stogner officiating.

Mr. Richardson
Ronnie Richardson, 62, of Beeville died on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006.
He was born on July 20, 1944, to Julie Brown Richardson and Jack Richardson in Palestine. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He married Joyce Horton in Las Vegas, Nev., on Nov. 8, 1980. He was a Baptist.
He is preceded in death by one son, Ronald Preston Richardson.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Richardson of Beeville; one son, Raymond Bret Richardson of Willow Springs, Mo.; two stepsons, Charles (Kathleen) Caddell of Corpus Christi, and Wesley Caddell of Lafayette, La.; one stepdaughter, Cindi (Chris) Lamas of Ingleside; one sister, Sundra Green of The Colony; six grandchildren, Trenton Richardson of Willow Springs, Mo., Sarah and Tony Oden and Courtney Caddell, all of Corpus Christi, and Hanna and Lorenzo Lamas of Ingleside.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Resthaven Cemetery in Kingsville at 4:30 p.m.

Mrs. Shears
Mildred Emily Dahlenburg Shears, 95, of Bartlesville, Okla., died on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006.
She was born on March 10, 1911, in Hinton, Okla. to Mabel Pearl (Barnett) and William H. Dahlenburg. On Jan. 10, 1933, she married William Theodore “Ted” Shears in Chickasha, Okla. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Bartlesville, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ted, in 1992; and two daughters, Dixie Lou and Karen Sue.
Mrs. Shears is survived by one son, Marline Williamson Shears and wife Donna of Beeville; one son-in-law; nine grandchildren, John Shears, Bryan Shears, Laura Shears Rothlisberger, Dan Keleher Jr., Rita Mohler, Theresa Merrifield, Stephanie Lightly, Cathy Lee and Barbara Garbarino; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Memory Chapel of the Arnold Moore Funeral Residence in Bartlesville, Okla. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the St. James Catholic Church in Bartlesville with Father Mike Cashen officiating. Committal prayers, dedication of the grave and interment will be directed at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Okla., at 1 p.m. Thursday with Father Stanislaus Semenini of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Anadarko, Okla., officiating.
Arrangements were by the Arnold Moore Funeral Residence in Bartlesville, Okla.

Carrizales
Carlos Carrizales Sr., 77, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002. He was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Normanna to Juan Sr. and Aurelia (Vela) Carrizales. He was a retired Bee County employee and a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Angelica Garcia Carrizales; two daughters, Alicia Ulloa and Maria Carrizales; two sons, Carlos Carrizales Jr. and wife Patricia and Joe Carrizales, all of Beeville; six sisters; three brothers; six grandchildren, Philip, Andrew, Sarah and Alisa Carrizales and Angelica and Marcos Ulloa; and one great-grandson, Samuel Carrizales.
A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Treviño Funeral Home chapel. The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Treviño chapel, with the Rev. Monseis Gonzales officiating.
Burial followed in Evangelico Cemetery. Pallbearers were Philip, Andrew, Roxanne and Sarah Carrizales, Albert Garcia and Ascencion Carrizales Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Angelica and Marcos Ulloa and Alisa and Samuel Carrizales.

Ford
Marvin O. Ford, 90, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Galloway & Sons chapel.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Galloway chapel, with the Rev. Ken Flowers officiating. Organist Doug Burton and vocalists Darci Westmoreland and Linda Ford will provide special music.
Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Lamar, Bobby Jemison, James Williams, Ross Ballard, Neal Downes, Autry Gordon, James Ford and Roger Perkins.
Mr. Ford was born Jan. 8, 1912, in Sweet Home to Cora A. (Lord) and Vinson Ford. He married Lorene Jeffrey on Aug. 13, 1938, in Beeville. He was a farmer and rancher and was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a deacon at the former Calvary Baptist Church for many years and was an honorary member of the FFA in Bee County.
He was preceded in death by his wife on June 7, 1998, and his parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Cora Ann “Todie” Kuenstler of Three Rivers; two sons, Robert and Glenn Ford, both of Beeville; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles M. Ford of Beeville; a sister, Mary Ballard of Beeville; and a stepbrother, Lawrence Perkins of Tuleta.
