Francisca Rosenbaum Perez, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Julian Camacho, in 1968, and her second husband, Enrique Perez, in 1997, two daughters, Ofelia Gonzales and Petra Acosta.
Survivors include her sons, Julian (Rosa) Camacho Jr. of Mathis and Manuel (Annabell) Camacho of Newton, Kan.; three daughters, Esperanza (Antonio) Gonzales, Olivia (Felipe) Salinas and Rosie (Isreal) Ruiz, all of Mathis; five brothers, Cruz R. Rosenbaum Jr. of Mathis, Tito R. and Daniel R. Rosenbaum, both of Orange Grove, Aurelio Rosenbaum of Lubbock and Luis Rosenbaum of Salt Lake, Utah; a sister, Dominga Rosenbaum of Salt Lake, Utah; 23 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Friday from 1 to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home in Mathis with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis. Interment followed at St. Patrick Cemetery in San Patricio.

Rebugio
Vicente Rebugio Sr., 86, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005.
Visitation was held Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. at the same location. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Efren Rebugio Jr., Hardie Rutab Jr., Mark Rutab, Aries Rebugio, Joey Cuison and Alan Arieta.
Mr. Rebugio was born on March 2, 1918, in the Phillipines, to Reymundo and Celestina (Evangelista) Rebugio. He married Maria Tabangcura there. He resided in Beeville and was a employed with plant maintenance in the uranium industry. He was a member of St. Joseph’s.
Survivors include his wife, Maria T. Rebugio of Beeville; two daughters, Mervita Balangue of Victoria and Vilma Rutab and husband Hardie of Beeville; three sons, Bienvenido Rebugio and wife Liza of Beeville, Efren Rebugio and wife Cora of Austin, and Vicente Rebugio Jr. and wife Jean of San Antonio; a brother, Patricio Rebugio and a sister, Anastacia Rebugio, both of the Phillipines; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Torres
Mauro Torres, 3, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005.
Survivors include his parents, John and Linda (Camacho) Torres of Pawnee; his sister, Lilyan Diaz of Eagle Pass; his brothers, Ryan Vaughn of Runge and John Torres Jr. of Pawnee; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marcelo Camacho Jr. of Pawnee and Felicita Torres of Runge; and his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Santiago Alaniz of Pawnee and Tomasa Mendoza of Helena.
Rosary will be recited Thursday at Runge’s Janssen Funeral Home chapel at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge. Burial will follow in Runge L.A. Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Arrangements were handled through Janssen Funeral Home of Runge.

Cardenas
Guadalupe Silva Cardenas, 65, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home, with a rosary that evening at 7:30. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery No. 2.
Pallbearers will be Silvano Silva, David Lee Keller, Ricardo Keller, Serando Sal Silva, Edward Silva and Gilbert Bobby Silva.
Mrs. Cardenas was born in Hidalgo County on Aug. 23, 1939, to Pedro B. and Leonor (Farias) Silva. She resided in Beeville and was a member of St. James.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Servando and Freddie Silva, a son, Andres Rodriguez, a granddaughter, Sabrina Riojas, her first husband, Tito Rodriguez Sr., and her second husband, Jose Cardenas.
Survivors include her sons, Pedro Rodriguez of Michigan and Tito Rodriguez Jr. and wife Nelda of Amarillo; seven daughters, Leonor Arredondo of Colorado, Rachel Keller and Gavino Gomez Jr., Flora Riojas and husband Albert, Florlina and Rosemary Cardenas, all of Beeville, Alicia Sanchez and husband Ricardo of Amarillo and Dora Rodriguez and Henry Peña of Santa Fe; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Silvano Silva and Salvador Silva and wife Rosie, all of Beeville.

Delgado
Sandra H. Delgado, 39, of Beeville, formerly of Mathis, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Corpus Christi.
She was born in Mathis on June 26, 1965, to Alvino and Elicia (Sandoval) Garcia. Mrs. Delgado was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Hipolito Delgado.
Survivors include her husband, Ivan Delgado of Beeville; her parents, Alvino Garcia and Elicia Sandoval Garcia; her daughters, Melody (Adam) Morales, Nicole (Scott Treviño), April (Mario Salinas) and Yvonne Delgado, all of Mathis; her sisters, Amelia (Chris) Gonzales and Mary Alice Ramirez, both of Beeville, Frances (Mike) Salinas of Mathis and Sue Ellen (Robert) Muñoz of San Antonio; her brothers, Eddie (Diana) Garcia of Mission and Gilbert Garcia of Mathis; her maternal grandmother, Amelia Sandoval, her paternal grandfather, Francis Garcia, and her mother-in-law, Paula Delgado, all of Mathis; and nine grandchildren.
Prayer service will be held at 7 o’clock tonight (Wednesday) at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Mathis. Funeral services will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. at the same location with Pastor David Silva officiating.
Burial will follow in Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis.

Hardin
Verna Repka Hardin, 91, died Friday, May 6, 2005.
Mrs. Hardin was born June 4, 1913, to Joseph and Anna (Kopecky) Repka in Czechoslovakia. She was a member of the St. George Catholic Church. She was a beautician for more than 72 years and the owner of Verna’s Beauty Shop. She was an active member in the Ladies Altar Society and taught CCD for more than 50 years. She volunteered at the Grace Armantrout Museum and Live Oak Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Josephine Repka Womac; three brothers, Joseph Repka Jr., Louis Repka and Ervin Repka.
Survivors include: one daughter, Elaine (Tom) Baudat of Montgomery; one son, Tom (Paula) Hardin of New Orleans, La.; two sisters, Edna James of George West and Mary Wharton of Pleasanton; one brother, Robert Repka of Kaufman; seven grandchildren, Erin Hardin, Nicholas Hardin, Neil Hardin, Christopher Hardin, Jennifer Baudat Diamond, Margaret Baudat Rhode and Mark Baudat; five great-grandchildren, Murphy Meyn, Walker Meyn, Spencer Hardin, Tyler Diamond and Abbey Diamond.
Rosary was recited Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church. The funeral Mass followed with Monsignor Michael Howell officiating. Burial was in the St. George Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Nicholas Hardin, Neil Hardin, Christopher Hardin, Mark Baudat, Robert Meyn, Lamar James and Robert Repka.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. George Cemetery Association, Box 580, George West, TX 78022 or to the Sacred Heart School Library, 615 McDae, Conroe, TX 77301.

Huddler
Martha E. Huddler, 73, died Sunday, May 1, 2005, at her home in Normanna.
She was born in Kenedy on July 2, 1931, to Edward and Dorothy (Dobrilla) Morris. She married William Huddler on July 18, 1948, in Karnes City. She was a waitress and a member of Normanna Baptist Church. She also belonged to the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion.
Mrs. Huddler was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include her daughter, Billie Ann (Rodney) Gill of Natalia; a son, James Edward (Liza) Huddler of Seadrift; her sisters, Edith Shields and Opal (Henry) Layton of Corpus Christi, Dorothy Clenendenen of Refugio and Shirley Wendt of Odem; a brother, Edward (Ella) Morris of Fredericksburg; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, May 4, at 2 p.m. in the Oakville Cemetery in Oakville.
Arrangements were handled through Eckols Funeral Home, Inc., Kenedy.

Laurel
Eric C. Laurel, 25, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Corpus Christi, after a long battle with Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy.
Visitation was held Monday from 1 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Lukose Thirunelliparambil officiating. Special music was provided by singers Fernando Cisneros and Rosie Maldonado. Burial followed in San Pedro Cemetery in the Clareville community.
Pallbearers were Rey Ibarra, Joe and Eddie Morales, Jaime Cardenas, Adam Medina and John Salazar. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie and Paul Laurel and Rene Yanes.
Mr. Laurel was born in Yuma, Ariz., on June 12, 1979, to Eduardo and Teresa (Cuellar) Laurel. He was a resident of Beeville and a member of Our Lady of Victory.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Vernon Laurel.
Survivors include his mother, Teresa Cuellar Laurel of Beeville; a brother, Eddie Laurel and wife Tamiee of Portland; a sister, Monica Laurel Gonzalez and husband Carlos G. of San Diego; nephews, Joshua, Ryan and Edward Laurel Jr. of Portland, Derek Laurel and Joe Angel Lara of Beeville; aunts, Lisa Ibarra and husband Ray of Houston and Minnie Medina of Baytown; and uncles, Eduardo Morales and wife Esperanza of Hebbronville and Joe Morales and wife Geraldine of Alice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Basilio Ariza Reynero, 69, of Tynan died Monday, May 9, 2005.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow in the Tynan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank and Lee Isaac Rosenbaum, Pedro and Basilio Gutierrez, Cecilio Reynero Jr. and Juan Jiminez.
Mr. Reynero was born in St. Paul on June 14, 1935, to Jose and Modesta (Ariza) Reynero. He was married to Dora Herrera. He was a Catholic and a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister, Maria Luisa Encina.
Survivors include his sons, Basilio Reynero Jr. and Cecilio Reynero, both of Tynan; three daughters, Dora Maria Rosenbaum of Houston, Modesta Gutierrez of Tynan and Esmeralda Rodriguez of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Soledad Reynero of Mathis and Amelia Rodriguez of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Stridde
Herbert Stridde, age 82, passed away May 7, 2005, in a Corpus Christi hospital.
Herbert was born May 17, 1922, in Gonzales County, the youngest of five children of William and Olga Stridde. In 1929, Herbert, his parents, and four older siblings moved to the Ray Point Community in Live Oak County. In 1931, he was baptized into the Lutheran faith. He attended the Votaw School and graduated from Pawnee High School in 1941. On October 18, 1945, he married Melba Meyer, his loving and devoted wife of 59 years. Herbert served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Philippine Island tour of duty.
Herbert was a retired farmer and rancher. He loved working on his farms and feeding his cattle. In 1975, he was awarded the Resident Conservation Farmer/Rancher of Bee County, and the Region III Resident Conservation Farmer. His greatest enjoyment was hunting deer. Many times, just the joy of watching the deer and their actions was all he needed or wanted to see. His hunting trips almost always included a game of "Skat" with other hunters.
Herbert has been an active member of the Lutheran faith, first in Ray Point and then at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Tynan. He served numerous terms as president of the church's council. He also served on the Hochheim Prairie Mutual Insurance Board, Bee County Soil and Conservation Board, Bee County Coliseum Board, Tynan Gin Company Board, Order of the Sons of Hermann, and the Bee County Cooperative Board. Many of these organizations he served as president and in other offices.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Raymond, and his only sister, Norma Zamzow. He is survived by his wife, Melba, son, Howard Stridde and wife, Judy, of George West,  Texas, daughter Kathy McNabb and husband, Donald, of Mt. Belvieu,  Texas, and son, Bryan Stridde and wife, Julie, of Skidmore,  Texas. He is also survived by two brothers, Edward "Slim" Stridde and wife, Bettina, of Mathis and Oscar Stridde of Three Rivers, and one sister-in-law, Gladys Stridde of St. Louis, Missouri. Also six grandchildren, Mandy Boehme and husband, Jarrod, of Mt. Belvieu,  Texas, Cari Lynn Siegel and husband, Brandon, of Shiner,  Texas, Adam McNabb of Mt. Belvieu,  Texas, Megan Stridde of Skidmore,  Texas, Kenton Stridde of George West,  Texas and Will Stridde of Skidmore,  Texas.
Funeral services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tynan,  Texas, on May 10, 2005. Willie Spreen, S.A.M. served as officiant and Norma Landgrebe was the organist.
Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Adam McNabb and Kenton Stridde, grandsons-in-law, Jarrod Boehme and Brandon Siegel and nephews, EIwood Stridde and Michael Stridde. Honorary Pallbearers were grandchildren, Mandy Boehme, Cari Lynn Siegel, Megan Stridde, and Will Stridde.
