Lott
Winona Scott Lott, 92, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Galloway and Sons Chapel. Funeral services will take place Friday at 2 p.m. at the same location with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lott was born in the Leissner community of Guadalupe County on Feb. 18, 1911, to Herman and Ella (Schultz) Boecker. She married Melford Scott in Houston. Following his death, she married Gene Lott in Beeville. He also preceded her in death.
She had resided in Beeville for 40 years. She was a Catholic and a registered nurse.
Survivors include her nephew, George Billups; a great-nephew, Mark Billups; a great-niece, Julie Billups, all of Seguin; a stepson, John Scott of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five cousins, Velma Huebner of Seguin, Verlon Schubert of Guadalupe County, Alan Boecker and Alice Magavern of Bexar County and Marie Walsh of Corpus Christi.

Sutherland
William Felix Sutherland, 85, of Lubbock and formerly of Beeville, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003.
He was born on July 10, 1918, in Panama City, Fla. He married Adine Lothringer on May 1, 1970, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beeville. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in the Korean and Vietnam wars before retiring as a chief petty officer. He resided in Beeville for 35 years and in Lubbock with his nephew for the past three years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adine Lothringer, and a daughter, Dianne Merriman.
Survivors include a sister, Maxine Elworthy of Sanford, Fla.; a grandson, Michael Wooton; a granddaughter, Emily Wooton, both of Austin; two nephews, Bob Lothringer of Midland and Bill Lothringer of Lubbock; and a niece, Sandy Smith of Lubbock.
military graveside services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Greg Traylor officiating.

Rivera
Louis S. Rivera, 78, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Visitation was held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel and Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Zizik-Kearns Funeral Home in San Antonio. Funeral Mass will be celebrated today (Saturday) at 9 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in San Antonio. Burial will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
Pallbearers were Joe Garza, Freddy Garza, Albert Gomez, Gilbert Herrera, Charlie Mejia and John Burkhardt.
Mr. Rivera was born in Marfa on Aug. 28, 1925, to Luis and Andrea (Salazar) Rivera. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He was married to Herminia DeLaGarza, who preceded him in death in 1969. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. He had resided in Beeville for the past four years, but had lived in San Antonio for most of his life. He was a retired civil service employee with Kelly Air Force Base, serving 30 years.
Survivors include his sons, Louis A. Rivera of Beeville and Rudy and Fred Garza, both of San Antonio; two daughters, Ellen Garza and Gloria Salas, both of San Antonio; a sister, Juana Gonzales of Seattle, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Treviño
Patricio P. Treviño, 78, died Thursday, June 3, 2004.
Visitation was to be held Friday from 1:30 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home, with a rosary there at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated today (Saturday) at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow at the Arrisola Ranch Cemetery in Mineral.
Pallbearers will be Francisco Gonzales III, Christopher Tapia, Emilio Treviño, Lazaro Treviño Jr., Danny Treviño, Thomas Perez and Joey Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse, Gilbert and Victor Treviño.
Mr. Treviño was born in Bee County on May 13, 1926, to Sotero and Salome (Perez) Treviño. He married Felicita Arrisola in 1945 in Tuleta. He was a resident of the Eugene community, located between Beeville and Skidmore. He was a retired employee of Davis Auto Parts and a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, David and Daniel Treviño, and a daughter, Elia Perez.
Survivors include six sons, Pete, Lazaro, Abel, Juan, Rene and David Treviño, all of Beeville; seven daughters, Alicia Vasquez of Victoria, Amelia Rivas, Mary Ann Gonzales, Elsie Aleman, Elvia Tapia, Rachel Camacho and Chris Garcia, all of Beeville; a sister, Aurora Treviño of Beeville; a brother, Andres Treviño of Hondo; 44 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Arrizola

Eudelia Arrizola, 79, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at her home here.
She was born in George West on Aug. 2, 1925, to Genaro and Victoria (Garza) Arrizola. She was a housekeeper and a Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugenio Garcia, her parents, a daughter, Sylvia Gonzales, a sister, Paula Rodriguez, and two brothers, Nicolas and Espidio Arrizola.
Survivors include her daughters, Maria Campos of Beeville, Martha Garcia of George West and Eufemia (Jacinto) Narvaez of Pasadena; her sons, Benino “Benny” (Rosie) Hernandez of Beeville and Eugenio Garcia Jr. of George West; her sisters, Barbarita Muñoz of Pasadena, Marcelina Hernandez of Amarillo and Jesusa Arrizola of Corpus Christi; a sister-in-law, Josie Arrizola of Lubbock; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. James Catholic Church, with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating.
Pallbearers were Joey Garza, Jason Narvaez, Joseph Hernandez, Paurino Alvarez, Manuel Campos, Steve Garza, Ernest Soliz and Rick Castillo.

Edmonds
Walter Thomas Edmonds, 51, a graduate of Mathis High School and  Texas A&M University-Kingsville, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004.
His father, Thomas Edmonds, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Geneva Edmonds of Mathis; two daughters, Jessica Edmonds of San Antonio and Evelyn Edmonds of Mathis; three brothers, Howard (Ruth) Brown of Corpus Christi, Odie and Benord Edmonds, both of Mathis; a sister, Marie Edmonds of Mathis; and three grandchildren, Aaliyah Edmonds and Alisha Cunningham, both of San Antonio, and Isiah Edmonds.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 8 to 11 a.m. at Treviño Funeral Home in Mathis with a prayer service that morning at 11 o’clock. Burial followed in Mathis’ Cenizo Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Myles, Robert Garza, Kat Treviño, Johnnie Coleman, Harold Smith and Kenneth Edmonds.
Honorary pallbearers were Benord Edmonds, Odie Edmonds, Howard Brown and Marie Edmonds.

Myrick 12/15/04
Basilia (Bessie Treviño) Kohler Myrick, 86, of Three Rivers died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004.
Visitation was held Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel in Three Rivers, with a prayer service that evening at 7 o’clock. Funeral services took place Monday at 2 p.m. at the same location, with the Rev. Mary Rodriguez officiating. Burial followed in the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joel, Samuel, Isreal and David Dean Treviño, Earl Hayden and Onesimo Salazar Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Casey Castañeda and Josh Schoenemann.
Mrs. Myrick was born in Berclair on Nov. 6, 1918, to Guillermo and Jesusa (Balle) Kohler. She married John Calhoun Myrick in Weatherford on Nov. 27, 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal church. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died on May 9, 1979, and a son, Louis Treviño.
Survivors include two daughters, Dolores T. Campbell of Three Rivers and Amanda Hayden of Navasota; two sons, Sam Treviño of Poteet and David K. Treviño of Three Rivers; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Reeves
Avonetta Lou Reeves, 77, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004.
Visitation will be held tonight (Wednesday) from 5 to 9 o’clock at Angelus Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the same location, with the Rev. Gene Currin officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tavy Villarreal Jr., Dee Reeves, Chris Reeves, Justin Parkman, Marcus Martinez and Israel “B.B.” Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers will be Tavy Villarreal Sr., Gene Currin, Randy Stember and Ted Moore.
Mrs. Reeves was born in Rockport on May 25, 1927, to Lemuel M. and Osie (Lewellen) Eaves. She met and married Irvin L. Reeves in Beeville when he was stationed at NAS Chase Field. After he left the Navy, they moved to his hometown of Charleston, S.C. for several years. They returned to Beeville and spent most of their years here.
In the early 1960’s Mr. and Mrs. Reeves moved to Zapata, where they became involved with bowling, and were each on several teams. They moved back to Beeville in 1966, where they remained avid bowlers. Mrs. Reeves was a member of the WIBC bowling association and went to state competition many times. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the local bowling alley for all the times she competed at the state level.
Mrs. Reeves was a member of the First Baptist Church and an avid singer. She enjoyed gardening and making homemade candy.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Survivors include her son, Irvin Duane Reeves of Edmond, Okla.; four daughters, Janet Villarreal of Zapata, Ginger Currin of Yulee, Fla., Marsha Stember of New Caney and Robin Moore of Beeville; a sister, Juanita Forley of Odem; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruiz
Alejandro Ruiz Jr., 49, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie Ruiz of Sandia; a daughter, Alice Ruiz of Colorado; a son, Alejandro Rene Ruiz of Orange Grove; his parents, Alejandro Sr. and Jesusa Ruiz of Sandia; two brothers, Juan David of Sandia and Albert Ruiz Sr. of Mathis; and three grandchildren.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 2:30 to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home in Mathis, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church in Mathis. Burial will follow in Sandia Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alejandro Rene Ruiz, Juan David, Albert Ruiz Sr., Ernesto Pruneda, Albert Ruiz Jr. and Adrian Ruiz.

Sapp
Lucille Sapp, 95, of Yoakum died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004.
She was born in Nashville, Tenn., on Oct. 27, 1909, to Guy and Lucy (Moredock) Anderson. She was a housewife and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Sapp, her parents, a grandson, Marcus Mussett, two sisters, Wilma Reid and Corrine Tatum, and a brother, Guy Anderson Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, Norma Mussett of Victoria and Jessica Cook and Cindy Gasch, both of Cuero; two sons, Jerry Franks of Houston and Larry Franks of Georgetown; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with the Revs. Victor Andersen and Gary Goodson officiating. Burial followed in Alexander Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donovan and Devan Dekowski, Allan Gasch Jr., Christopher and Scott Gasch and Curtis Hull.
Arrangements were handled through Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum.
