Stiles
Earl Roland Stiles, 76, of San Antonio died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004.
He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Sylvia Bender, and sisters Annie Lee Ledwell and Dorothy Hatcher.
Survivors include his wife, Anne; daughter, Cheryl Stiles Molina and husband Armando; stepson, Tom Nielson and wife Mary; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Mr. Stiles retired from the U.S. Army on Jan. 1, 1967. He served as an avionics technician for VT-27 at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi and was a resident of George West from 1978 to 2002.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Alamo Funeral Home in San Antonio. A procession will leave the funeral home for a 1 p.m. graveside service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled through Alamo Funeral Home, San Antonio.

Jemison
Herbert Morris Jemison, 96, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005.
Visitation was held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services took place Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the same location with Vernon Helgren officiating, with special music by organist Doug Burton. Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James, John and Brian Berthold, Ferrell Tyler, Bobby Neal Jemison II, Robert Doubrava and Arthur Romine.
Mr. Jemison was born in Ola, La., on Oct. 8, 1908, to Joe and Laura (Hargrove) Jemison. He married Jean Opal Lockwood in Beeville on Nov. 23, 1931. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Orangedale and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, who died June 2000.
Survivors include his daughter, Dorothy Henry and husband Paul; two sons, Clifford Jemison and wife Nell and Bobby Jemison and wife Marguret, all of Beeville; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Moore
Emmit Charles Moore Sr., 66, of Big Spring, formerly of Beeville, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005.
Mr. Moore was born in Beeville on March 26, 1938, to Lonnie Melvin and Anna Belle (Canada) Moore. He married Ida Moore on March 19, 1957, in Beeville. He was a retired safety supervisor for Halliburton, having worked 33 years. He graduated from A.C.  Jones High School in 1955 and participated in all sports. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lonnie Melvin Moore Jr., and two sisters, Rachel Moore and Anna Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Moore of Big Spring; a daughter, Sherleen Moore of Big Spring; a son, Emmit (Louise) Moore Jr. of Pecos; three sisters, Beverly Toliver and Clara Blackwell, both of Beeville, and Mae Ola Moore of Atlanta, Ga.; an aunt, Clara Lewis of Beeville; and two grandchildren, Susan Lee and Catherine Moore, both of Pecos.
Funeral services will take place Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Eric Rendell Tarver officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.

Spangenberg
Virginia Spangenberg, 86, of Pittsfield, Ill., died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at her home.
She was the daughter of Robert and Fern Norton Durr, born on Oct. 24, 1918, in Independence, Ill. She married Paul E. Spangenberg on Aug. 19, 1939, in Bowling Green, Mo., and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1986.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Cindy) Spangenberg of Vandalia, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. David (Paula) Harper of Vicksburg, Mich., Mrs. Donald (Carole) Dickinson of Alice and Mrs. Travis (Mary)  Jones of Pittsfield, Ill.; a sister, Marjorie Feller of Pittsfield, Ill.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, a grandson, Donald Spangenberg, and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 9, at 2:30 p.m. at the Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, Ill. Burial followed at the West Cemetery there.
Arrangements were handled through Niebur Funeral Home, Pittsfield, Ill.

Wojtewicz
Ed Wojtewicz, 49, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, in Waco
He was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Wojtewicz, and his father, Kaz Wojtewicz.
Survivors include his daughter, Desiree Wojtewicz of Denton; two sons, Johnathan Wojtewicz of Austin and Chris Wojtewicz of Arlington; a granddaughter, Alexandria Wojtewicz; his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Marvin Eddy; a sister, Carol Sliva; and a brother, Scott Carpenter.
Services will be held today (Wednesday) at 4 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Austin.
Arrangements were handled by All Faiths Funeral Services, Austin.

Ms. Arrisola
Jesusa Arrisola, 83, of Beeville, died on Monday, July 3, 2006, at a hospital in Corpus Christi.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1923, in Alice to Victoria Garza and Genaro Arrisola. She was Catholic and a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Victoria (Inez) Villarreal of Corpus Christi; two sons, Lupe (Lupita) Vidaurri and Juan Esparza, both of Beeville; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory No. 2 cemetery . Pallbearers will be James, David and Daniel Villarreal, Leo Cantu, Abel Herrera and Thomas Viduarri.

Mr. Fox
Roy Lee Fox Sr., 67, of Beeville, died on Thursday, June 29, 2006, in Beeville.
He was born in Beeville on May 11, 1939, to Etta Butler and Rufus Lee Fox. He was a lifelong oilman and was a consultant in both production and drilling operations.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Clarence Byles.
Mr. Fox is survived by his wife, Carol Jean Fox of Beeville; three sons, Ronnie (Cathy) Fox of Rockport, Roy (Sherry) Fox Jr. of Carrizo Springs, and James Ray (Gabrielle) Fox of Lubbock; one daughter, Shirley (Larry) Holm of George West; two brothers, Harold L. (Frances) Fox of Pettus, and Elroy (Evette) Fox of Clute; and two sisters, Nellie (Anson) Hoot of Brazoria, and Elsie (Ivy) Compton of Freeport.
A family visitation was held at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in George West. Burial followed at the George West Cemetery.

Mrs. Hood
Tommie Ruth Hood, 97, of Beeville, died on Saturday, July 1, 2006.
She was born on Oct. 6, 1908, in Wichita Falls to Lillie Darcus and Thomas  Jefferson Taylor. On Dec. 15, 1924, she married Benjamin Franklin Hood in Paducah. Mrs. Hood was very active in senior citizen activities until the age of 90. She loved music and loved to dance.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 29, 1975.
She is survived by four daughters, Mildred V. Davis of Beeville, Mary Jo Beal and husband Billy of Huntsville, Ala., Faye Jean Johns and husband Kenneth E. of Beeville, and Bennie Mae Rose and husband Samuel of Salado; six grandchildren, James D. Beal, Kenny Johns, Rebecca Kennedy, Benny C. Young, Bonnie Bradley and James C. Liles; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services were to be held today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at the Galloway chapel. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Corpus Christi.

Mr. Light
John Bryant Light, 63, of Calliham, died on Thursday, June 29, 2006.
He was born on Oct. 12, 1942, in Beeville to Ella Mae West and John Franklin Light. On Nov. 28, 1954, he married Mary Hougham in Three Rivers. He worked as a cattle manager for Briggs Ranches and was retired from  Texas Parks and Wildlife. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Mary H. Light of Calliham; his mother, Ella Mae Cox of Victoria; one brother, Leonard Light of Ben Wheeler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers. Funeral services were held there at 2 p.m. on Monday with Michael Light officiating. Special music was “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.” Burial followed at Calliham Cemetery in Calliham.
Pallbearers were Steve Powell, Mike Powell, Matt Martin, Scottie Shumate, Terry Shumate and Rocky Bassham. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Jones, Alfredo Laurel, Jack Powell, Johnny Martin, Billy Flores and John Kiker.

Mrs. Lopez
Elodia “Ellie” Lopez, 51, of Beeville, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2006.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1954, in Mathis to Alejandra Huerta and Teodoro Villa. On Aug. 21, 1972, she married Benito Lopez in Beeville. She was retired from Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville after 24 years as an LVN. She was Catholic.
Mrs. Lopez was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Teodoro “Pancho” Villa Jr., and one sister, Elia Villa.
She is survived by her husband, Benito Lopez of Beeville; two daughters, Elda Marisol (Cornelio Paiz) Lopez, and Anissa Bianca (Daniel Dominguez) Lopez, both of Beeville; one son, Benny Joel Lopez of Beeville; one sister, Gloria Serrano of Beeville; five grandchildren, Samantha Lemon, Sergio Lemon, Tavia Lemon, James Earl Lockhart and Myteo Villa-Lopez.
Visitation was to be held on Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Saturday. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 6 at Descanso Eterno Cemetery in Mathis.
