Partlow
Thomas Ross Partlow, 84, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002.
Visitation was held Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gordon Talk officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art.” Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Carter Adair, Stewart Adair, Ross Partlow, Bruce Gates, Michael Mayo and Travis Price. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Palmer, Bill Malone, Norman Jostes, Bill Newsom and Rex Smith.
Mr. Partlow was born on May 21, 1918, in San Antonio to Roscoe and Grace (Fitzgerald) Partlow. He served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He married Doris Caldwell on Jan. 29, 1938, in San Antonio. He resided in Beeville and was a retired farm equipment dealer. Mr. Partlow was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and had previously belonged to the Kiwanis Club, the Chamber of Commerce and the Methodist Men.
He is survived by his daughter, Patty Partlow Adair of Beeville; a son, Thomas Ross Partlow Jr. and wife Jane Griffith Partlow of Papalote; six grandchildren, Carter (Cindy) Adair, Allison (Bruce) Gates, Stewart (Ydette) Adair, Jenny (Travis) Price, Thomas Ross Partlow III and Abbie (Michael) Mayo; three great-grandchildren, Connor and Julia Gates and Thomas Hobbs Price; and one sister, Eleanor (Bernie) Bailey of San Antonio.

Richard
Beatrice JoAnn Richard, 72, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002.
Visitation was held Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. Graveside services were held Monday at 10 a.m. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Richard was born on Jan. 26, 1930, in Rosco, Ohio, to Charles and Jesse (Jacobs) Ramsey. She was a retired apartment manager and had been employed at Rolling Meadows Apartments. She was a Methodist. Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronald Dean Richard, who died on Dec. 30, 1999.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Kaye Richard Estrada of Beeville; her son, Lorin Thomas (Bert) Dusenberry of West Lafayette, Ohio; five grandchildren, Mark Estrada, Michele Estrada Aguirre, Aaron Estrada, Tom Dusenberry Jr. and Amy Dusenberry; and six great-grandchildren.

Rios
Ricarda Rios, 87, died at her home in Beeville on Friday, Nov. 15, 2002.
Visitation was held Sunday at Angelus Funeral Home chapel. Rosary was recited that evening at 7 o’clock at the same location. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial followed at San Luis Cemetery in Yorktown.
Pallbearers were Charlie Medellin Jr., Troy Medellin, Ceasar J. Ramirez, Jesse Ramirez, Martin Rivas and Joshua Ramirez.
Mrs. Rios was born on March 17, 1915, in Seguin, to Evaristo and Dolores (Briseño) Guajardo. She married Louis Rios in March 1956 in Seguin. She resided in Beeville and was a homemaker and a Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (on Feb. 4, 1984), a daughter, Lydia Fresenhahn, and two sons, A.G. (Ceasar) Ramirez Jr. and Jesse Ramirez.
Mrs. Rios is survived by her daughter, Juanita Rivas of Beeville; a brother, Herman Guajardo of Austin; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Stanley
Edith “Edie Mama” Virginia Stanley, 92, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at her residence in Beeville.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at the same location, with the Rev. Chuck Jennings officiating. Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Smith, Billy Smith, Jimmy Myers, Kenneth Bayer, Jackie Davis and Marnie Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were Virginia Cope, Happy Myers, Marcella Guerrero, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Parker and Hospice Nurses In Touch.
Special music included “In the Garden,” “One Day at a Time” and “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,” by organist Doug Burton and singer Mary Joyce Peterson.
Mrs. Stanley was born on Dec. 8, 1909, on the Smith Ranch in Bee County to Sidney and Lucy (Atkins) Smith. She married Robert Randolph “Jack” Stanley on May 5, 1938, in Beeville. She resided in Beeville and was retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a member and past matron of the Eastern Star Chapter 422.
Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Sidney Beasley; her son, Lynn Stanley; and her sister, Martha Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Gene Groschick of Clinton, Okla.; her daughter-in-law, Nell Stanley of Gonzales; her brother, Leonard C. Smith of George West; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her nephews.

Eason
James Burl Eason, 64, died Monday, March 24, 2003, in Porter.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on March 28 in the Rosewood Funeral Chapel in Porter, with interment following in the Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
Mr. Eason is survived by three sons, Danny Eason and wife Joyce, Alfred Eason and wife Gloria, and Jamie Eason and wife Vicky; and five grandchildren, Tara, Jessica, Nicki, Chris and Joshua Eason.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Beeville Optimist Club.
Arrangements were handled through Rosewood Funeral Home in Porter.

Gonzales
Felicita Pena Gonzales, 81, died May 18, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her father, Severo Pena and her mother, Beatrice Flores who now will join together for an eternal life.
Felicita was born on Feb. 6, 1922 in Pettus, TX. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending quality time with her children and family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Victor Gonzales Sr. of Pettus, TX; four daughters, San Juanita (Adam) Duran, Mary (Arturo) Perez, Nora A. (Bobby) Cantu and Leticia Banda, all of Beeville, TX; two sons, Victor P. (Tila) Gonzales Jr. of Pettus, TX and Jonathan Saenz of Beeville, TX; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Rosary was recited on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Resurrection was held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pettus, TX with Rev. Joseph Varghese officiating. Burial followed at the Pettus Cemetery in Pettus, TX.
Pallbearers were James Duran, Adam Rene Duran, Gerald Perez, Randy Perez, Jason Cantu and Sammy Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers were Jacob Cantu and Jonathan Saenz.

Guardian Angels were sent from the Heavens above on May 14, 2003 to add another precious Guardian Angel to watch over us. Angel Guajardo was born to Richard Guajardo, Jr. and Leslie Silva, both of Beeville, TX.
Angel is survived by two brothers, Richard Guajardo III; Gabriel Lee Guajardo; and one sister, Yuri Nicole Guajardo; his maternal grandparents, Salvador and Rosa Linda Silva of Beeville; paternal grandmother, Janie Medina of Houston, TX; and paternal grandfather, Richard Guajardo Sr. of Freeport, TX.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17, 2003 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services held at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2 with Rev. Edward Garcia officiating.

Willie Pena, 68, died May 18, 2003. Willie was born in Monteola,  Texas on June 25, 1934. He was retired from Co-op Gin and Elevator, Three Rivers,  Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eulogio Pena and his mother, Carmen Diaz. He is survived by his loving wife, Reyes Alaniz Pena of Beeville,  Texas; three daughters, Adelfa (Pedro) Perez of Kenedy,  Texas; Rosa Linda (Javier) Elias of Pawnee; and Esmeralda (Oscar) Perez of Beeville,  Texas; two sons, David (Sandra) Pena of Corpus Christi,  Texas; and Valdo (Susan) Pena of Campbellton,  Texas; three sisters, Dominga Garcia of Tuleta,  Texas; Juana De La Paz of Snyder,  Texas; and Irene De La Paz of California; two brothers, Cipriano Pena of Odessa,  Texas and Noe Pena of Snyder,  Texas; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Prayer service was recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2003 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at El Buen Pastor Baptist Church, Beeville,  Texas with Rev. Moises Gonzales officiating. Burial followed at Nuestra Sra. De Guadalupe Cemetery, Pawnee,  Texas.
Pallbearers were Pedro Perez, Jr., Tim Perez, David Pena, Jr., Dave Anthony Pena, Jesse Villanueva, and Jeremy M. Pena.

Blanton
James Alfred Blanton, 64, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at his home in Victoria.
He was born to James Carroll and Nora (Schustereit) Blanton on Jan. 29, 1939. Mr. Blanton graduated from Victoria’s Patti Welder High School in 1958, where he was well-known for his singing ability. For several years he served as a dispatcher for the Victoria Fire Department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Colonial North Funeral Home on the Cuero Highway, with interment next door in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Longtime friend Gary Sides will officiate.
Gary Blanton, Jeffrey Blanton, Parnell Cole, Kenny Schustereit, Larry Schustereit and John Tait will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dan Buckner, Roger Kelly and Ed Schroeder.
Survivors include one brother, David A. Blanton and wife Juanita of Beeville; one nephew, Kent Blanton and wife Elaine of Calgary, Can.; one niece, Rhonda Selph and husband Chad of Allen; four grandnephews and three grandnieces.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the South  Texas Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1210, Beeville, TX 78104.

Carabajal
Ysidro Moya Carabajal, 80, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Visitation was held Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home. Rosary was recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the same location. Funeral Mass was celebrated today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Special music was provided by organist Mary Ellen Thoms. Burial followed in the Berclair Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ysidro Carabajal Jr., Gerald Carabajal, Terry Sellers, Joe Shaver, David Carabajal and Ysidro Carabajal III. Honorary pallbearers were Fred Garza, Gerardo Garcia and Domingo Hernandez.
Mr. Carabajal was born in Berclair on May 14, 1923, to Anestasio and Maria Santos (Moya) Carabajal. He married Carmen Benavides on Jan. 19, 1942, in Berclair. He resided in Beeville and was a retired civil service employee. He was a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Alejandro, Seprian and Anestasio Carabajal Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen B. Carabajal of Beeville; five daughters, Anita B. Sellers and husband Terry of Beeville, Rachel Gutierrez and husband Ted of Sugar Land, Santos Shaver of husband Joe of Kenedy, Estella Silverleaf of Beeville and Priscilla Sturdivant of San Marcos; four sons, Ysidro Carabajal Jr. and wife Ramona of Beeville, Gerald Carabajal and wife Dora of Manvel, Sid Carabajal of San Antonio, and David Carabajal and wife Bettina of Beeville; one sister, Emilia Naranjo of Rockport; three brothers, Antonio Carabajal and wife Consuelo, Gilberto and wife Santos, and Abel Carabajal and wife Anita of Berclair; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
