Memorial services for Keith Edward Carpenter, 60, of Brazoria, Texas, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004, at the First Baptist Church of Brazoria, Texas, with the Rev. Rodney Bowman officiating.
He was born Tuesday, September 14, 1943, in Freeport, Texas, and died Monday, May 24, 2004, in Brazoria, Texas.
Survivors include his sons, Kevin Earl Carpenter of Austin and Colter Rafe Carpenter of Brazoria; sister, Connie Carpenter of Houston; brother-in-law, Thomas Low of Denver, Colorado; and niece, Deidre K. Carpenter of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Alice Carpenter; and wife, Sandra Carpenter.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Brazoria, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and he retired from Dow Chemical in 1998, where he worked as an environmental technician. Keith was a lifetime area resident.

Funeral services for Mable Dean Malone-Ward, 71, of Brazoria, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2004, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel in West Columbia, Texas, with the Rev. Tom Vance officiating.
Burial will follow at Sweeny Cemetery in Sweeny, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2004. at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.
She was born Thursday, January 19, 1933, in Clarence, Louisiana, and died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, in Brazoria, Texas.
She was an area resident for 35 years, and a member of Wild Peach Baptist Church and Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary. Mable’s family extends “Special Thanks” to her doctors, the wonderful and caring nurses at Brazosport Memorial Hospital, her many loving neighbors and friends and The Hospice Care Team in Lake Jackson. Thanks also for all the love and support.
Survivors include her husband, Norman Ward of Brazoria; son, Johnnie Ray Carpenter and wife, Sherrie, of Brazoria; daughters, Brenda Vance and husband, Tom, of Thornton, Reba Allen and husband, Albert Reyes, of Brazoria and Regina Edling and husband, Shannon, of West Columbia; brothers, Fred Hale and wife, Linda, of Bayfield, Colorado, and Hayne J. Fussell Jr. and wife, Kim, of Bacliff; sisters, Sandra Clark and husband, Jimmy, of Bacliff and Miranda Sandstrom and husband, Jesse, of Bacliff; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three nieces; and 10 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Hale and Alice Fussell; sister, Sallie Davenhauer; and daughter, Mildred Jean Pourteau.
Pallbearers will be Pepper Durso, Danny Ferguson, Tom Hicks, Donald Ince, Allen Jackson and Ray Peavy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Allen, Lance Allen, Codie Carpenter, Cobey Edling and Clifford Fletcher.

Shayne Dale Pinson, 42, of Brazoria, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 25, 2004.
He was born October 6, 1961, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Dale and Patricia Jacobs Pinson. Shayne was a member of Brazoria Lions Club and FBC Brazoria. He also was a respected member of the business community as owner of Brazoria Industrial Laundry.
Shane Pinson left behind a legacy of God’s love.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; daughter, Tiffany Pinson; mother and stepfather, Patricia and Carlos Winkelman; stepmother, Cheryl Pinson; sisters, Christina Woodall and Renea Brady; brother, Josh Pinson; grandparents, Bertis and Cloyce Pinson; along with many other relatives and close friends that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bertis Dale Pinson; and grandparents, Sam and Sadie Jacobs.
Pallbearers will be Drue Taylor Jr., Thomas Edgar, John Lively, Clay Grimes, Pete Grimes, Jimmy Lapier, Andy Davis, David Eubanks and Mike Brady.

Interment will follow at Brazoria Cemetery.

TOM L. NEEL
Tom L. Neel, age 53, born in Freeport, Texas, on March 1, 1951, lost his battle with esophageal cancer on May 25, 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; daughters, Beth Neel of Belleville, Illinois, and Cindy Neel of Carrollton; son, Thomas Neel of Carrollton; parents, Tommy and Molly Neel of Lake Jackson; brothers, Robert and his wife, Marcia Neel, of Vista, California, Richard and his wife, Marisa Neel, and Michael and his wife, Rhonda Neel of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sister, Susan and her husband, John Wilson, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; brother, Duane and his wife, Melani Neel, of New Braunfelds; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom graduated from Brazosport High School in ’69, Texas A&M University in ’73, and Southwestern Medical School in ’76.
He married Becky Patton in 1976 and has been an OB-GYN in Lewisville and Carrollton, Texas, since the 1980s. He was well-respected and admired and helped many children come into the world.
Tom was a member of Denton County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Sparkman/Dickey Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.

Esther was a resident of Sweeny for 58 years and was an employee of Sweeny I.S.D. Food Service for 26 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Connes Weeks.
Survivors are David Weeks and wife, Mary, of Sweeny, Gary Weeks and wife, Lucy, of Lake Jackson, and Randall Weeks of Augusta, Montana. She had six grandchildren, Leslie Singletary of Lubbock, Joseph Weeks of Sweeny, Matt Weeks of Falmouth, Massachusetts, Andrea Weeks of San Francisco, California, Michele Becktold of Augusta, Montana, and Wendy Weeks of Matagorda.
