Bill Craig, 60, of Andrews passed away Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 8, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Sam Jones, Andrews County Sheriff, will officiate.
Bill was born on July 30, 1945 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Bill graduated from Andrews High School in 1963.
He married Judy Harrell on August 27, 1966 in Richardson, Texas. Bill worked as a Ranch Manager for many years in North and East Texas, before becoming a Law Enforcement Officer. He served as the Police Chief in Maypearl, Texas before moving back to Andrews in 1988 and becoming a Deputy Sheriff for Andrews County. Bill enjoyed Golf and giving his friends a hard time. He liked to fly fish and take trips to the mountains. He enjoyed spending time in his shop working on things.
He is survived by: Wife-Judy Craig of Andrews; Three Daughters- Sherry Scribner of Irving; Shannon Hicks of Mayperl; and Sonya Pereira of Longview; One Sister- Susan Craig of Plano; Aunt- Jewell Dowell of Odessa and Cousins-Ronie Dowell and Janet Lee of Odessa; and a Niece- Cristen Ransom of Plano; and 4 Grandchildren.

Funeral services for Don H. Bentley, 78, of Andrews will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 26, 2005 at Northcrest Baptist Church in Andrews with Rev. Harvey Enriquez, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home from 7:30PM - 9:00PM.
Pallbearers will be Chad Marshall, Cory Marshall, Jarett Perkins, Gary Speed, Max Hathcock, Harold Buchanan, Joe Bell, John Bell, and Neuie Fountain.
He passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at his daughter's residence in Andrews.
He was born on December 28, 1926 in Snyder, Texas to Earl Lee Bentley and Oddie Deliah Rollins Bentley. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He married Lillie Jo Bell on May 21, 1954 in Lovington, New Mexico. He worked for G & L Tool Company in Snyder for 10 years, and they moved to Andrews in 1965 from Snyder. He had worked for Apache Fishing Tool Company as a fishing tool operator for 24 years. He was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Jerry Don Bentley; and 2 brothers.
He is survived by his wife: Lil Bentley of Andrews; 1 son: Travis Bentley and wife Diane of Henrietta, Texas; 2 daughters: Sherry Hathcock and husband Max of Andrews and Donna Speed and husband Gary of Odessa; 1 brother: Aubrey O. Bentley of Clovis, New Mexico; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Paul O'Hanlon, Jr., 58, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with John Snider of Greenwood Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery.
He passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2005 in Andrews.
He was born on January 23, 1947 in Durant, Oklahoma to Paul Meredith O'Hanlon, Sr. and Jimmie Lois Teaff. He married Carol Ann Jones on February 14, 1998 in Midland. He worked as a truck driver for Kinney, Inc. Paul moved to Andrews as a child in 1953 from Durant, Oklahoma. He graduated from Andrews High School in 1966. He played football, was selected All- District, and was a member of the track team. He served as a coach in the Youth Football League in Andrews and was an umpire for boys baseball and girls softball. He loved horses and was a member of the Paint Horse Association. Paul liked to build things and was a good carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: Carol Ann O'Hanlon of Andrews; 2 Sons- Paul M. "Trey" O'Hanlon, III, of New Braunfels and Ricky Brewster of Muretta, California; Daughter- Keri Bartlett of Keller, Texas; Brother- John O'Hanlon of Andrews; Sister- Lilta Christopher of Midland; and 10 Grandchildren.
JAMES C. LAWBAUGH

James C. Lawbaugh, 75, of Andrews passed away Thursday, September 22, 2005 at his home in Andrews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday September 27, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bryan Johnson, Chaplain for Home Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery.
Mr. Lawbaugh was born on June 20, 1930 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He married Martha Helen Parker on June 16, 1954 in Fayetteville and they moved to West Texas, where he worked for Halliburton as a mechanical engineer for 34 years. The family moved to Andrews from Odessa in 1955. He loved working for Halliburton and living in West Texas. He loved to share all of the old stories of his Halliburton days. He loved to take family deer hunting trips. He always enjoyed being with his family. He liked to go to car and RV shows and was a member of the Good Sams RV Club. He enjoyed taking pictures and his stops at the coffee shop. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Lawbaugh in 1978.
He is Survived by; His Wife- Martha Helen Lawbaugh of Andrews; Three Sons- James " Jimmy" Lawbaugh of Midland; Charlie Lawbaugh of Midland; and Tommy Lawbaugh of Andrews; One Daughter- Nancy Dildine of Andrews; One Brother- Chuck Lawbaugh of Mesquite, Texas and One Sister- Helen Raible of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; 10 - Grandchildren and 2- Great-Grandchildren.

Graveside services for Lorene Green, 89, of Odessa will be 2:00 PM Thursday, September 22, 2005 in the Andrews West Cemetery with Rev. Ted Short of Grace Baptist Church in Andrews officiating.
She passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
She was born January 3, 1916 in Thurber, Texas to Charles Augustus DeWitt and Bertie Allen DeWitt. She married Howell Benton Green on April 19, 1941 in Weatherford, Texas. They moved to Andrews in 1960, and then to Odessa in 1966. She was preceded in death on April 12, 1994 by her husband and her son: Charles Green in 2000. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her 2 sons: Donnie Green of Gainesville, Texas and Ronnie Green of Odessa; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

Jessica Wright, 27, of Andrews passed away Monday September 19, 2005 in Ft. Stockton.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 22, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Ivy Shelton, Pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church in Odessa will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery.
Jessica was born March 30, 1978 in Big Spring, Texas. She moved to Andrews with her family when she was one month old. She married Thomas Wright in 1995 in Big Lake, Texas. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Andrews. She enjoyed being around people and enjoyed her friends and family. She also liked to work Puzzles.
She was preceded in death by; her Grandfather, J.W Piipkin in 1979, her Husband Tommy Wright in 1997 and an Uncle, Jimmy Pipkin in 2005.
She is Survived by: Two Daughters-Tori and Cori Wright of Bandera, Texas and One Son- Robert Puckett of Bandera; Her Father - Robert Hale of Big Spring, and Mother- Dianne DeShazo of Bandera; One Brother- Daniel Patterson of Andrews; and her Grandmother - Doris Pipkin of Andrews.

Graveside services for James Wood "Jim" Butler, Sr, 78, of Andrews will be 4:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2005 in the Andrews West Cemetery with Gregory D. Young of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Andrews officiating.
He passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
He was born June 12, 1927 in Cone, Texas to William Fred Butler and Addie Leona Morgan Butler. He married Mary Ellen Conwell on January 31, 1948 in Lubbock. They moved to Kermit in 1959, where he worked for the Kermit Public Schools as a custodian and a bus driver until 1977. They moved to Andrews in 1977, where he worked as a custodian for the Andrews County Courthouse for 8 years. He owned and operated Jim's Mower Service in Andrews from 1987-Present. His wife preceded him in death on August 7, 1985. He was a member of McKinney Acres Baptist Church in Andrews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; and 1 grandchild.
He is survived by his 1 son: James W. Butler, Jr. of Andrews; 1 daughter: Janice M. Arnold of Sweetwater; 1 brother: J.C. Butler of Abilene; 1 sister: Maurine McReynolds of Ralls; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Bob passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Home Hospice House in Odessa.
Bob was born on August 31, 1930 in Bowie County, Texas to William Franklin Steward and Era Mae Collvins. He married Geri Davee on May 21, 1949 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He had worked for Phillips Petroleum in Hobbs, Odessa, and Andrews from 1952-1983. He moved to Odessa in 1977 from Hobbs and then to Andrews in 1983. He was a member of the Andrews Philresters Club. He had served as a deacon at several churches. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
He is survived by his wife: Geri Steward of Andrews; 1 son: Robert Steward of Austin; 2 daughters: Belinda Gardner of San Marcos and Virginia Robbins of Midland; and 4 grandchildren: Denise Gardner, Robert Dougals Gardner, Justin Robbins, and Jason Steward.

Iva McGee, 73, of Andrews passed away Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Home Hospice House in Odessa.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Rev. James Linton will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery.
Iva was born January 1, 1932 in Post, Texas. She married Garland Aubrey November 1, 1947 in Post and they moved to Andrews in 1969 from Post. He preceded her in death in 2002.
She was a Homemaker and member of the United Pentecostal Church in Andrews.
She enjoyed, Sewing and working in her garden and she loved to cook. She was active in her church and loved to share the Bible with her children and grandchildren. She liked to dance and sing in her younger years and taught all of her kids how to dance the "Two Step" on the kitchen floor.
She was preceded in death by Three brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include: One Son - Doug Awbrey of Andrews; Three Daughters - Joy Lynn Wren, Brenda Kay Holly and Teresa Ann Smith all of Andrews; 9 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.

She passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
She was born October 16, 1915 in Mitchell County, Texas to Albert Lowrey McCarley and Lila Sanders McCarley. She has lived in Andrews since 1924 and graduated from Andrews High School in 1934. She married William James "Jim" Underwood, Jr. on October 18, 1936 in Westbrook, Texas. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church and was the first secretary for the church. Most of all she was a great housewife, mother, and MeMaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister: Grace Dowlen; and 1 brother: A.W. McCarley.
She is survived by her husband: Jim Underwood of Andrews; 1 son: James Underwood of Andrews; 3 sisters: Ruby Walker of Lubbock, Ila Fay Dement of Pasadena, Texas, and Louis Irwin of Odessa; and 1 grandchild: Creecy Hare of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a loved family member: Dee Becker of Midland (formerly of Andrews).

BRODIE WAYNE HUTCHINSON, SR.

Funeral services for Brodie Wayne Hutchinson, Sr., 77, of Andrews will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews with Rev. Rick Doyle, Pastor, and Mike Fetner of Dallas officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brodie Hutchinson, Jr., Mark and Michael Randolph, Joseph and Clay Hutchinson, and Max Mainord. Honorary pallbearers will be A.J. Cain, Billy Cox, James Harder, Sam Hollis, Jerry Pitts, Bill Rogers, Forrest Scott, Bert Smith, and Sam Snoody.
Brodie passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Regency Hospital in Odessa.
Brodie W. Hutchinson was born in Aiken, Texas, October 29, 1927, the son of Joseph Cyrus Hutchinson, Jr. and Mary Morris Hutchinson. He attended school in Sudan, Texas until his senior year, which was completed at Brackenridge High School in San Antonio. He attended Trinity University, served in the Army of Occupation in Germany, and returned home to Texas Tech University, where he received a BA in Biology and MA in Education. He married La Rue Clark on May 26, 1950 in Littlefield, and they began teaching in Levelland that year. They moved to Andrews in 1955, where he was Assistant Principal from 1955-1965 and then High School Principal from 1965-1990. He took great pleasure in the accomplishments of students and former students, academically and in their careers, as well as successes in all sports activities. Brodie loved being with family, friends, enjoyed gardening, playing golf, traveling, and watching sports. He participated in many civic and professional organizations. He had served as past president of the Andrews Downtown Lions Club and Andrews Chamber of Commerce, where he also served as an Ambassador. He served on the Andrews City Council from 1997-2003. He was a past member of the Association of Secondary School Principals and the Governor's Professional Practices Commission. He was a member of Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: La Rue Hutchinson of Andrews; 1 son: Brodie Hutchinson, Jr. of Levelland; 2 daughters: Nedra Randolph and husband Mark of Houston and Beth Hutchinson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and 4 beloved grandchildren: Joseph and Clay Hutchinson and Lindsey and Michael Randolph.
