DOROTHY SCARLETT CUMMINS
October 13, 2007

Dorothy Scarlett Cummins, 82, of Andrews passed away Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 Tuesday, at Andrews Church of Christ. John Snider of Greenwood Church of Christ will officate. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born December 30, 1924 in Breckenridge,  Texas. She married Dick Cummins November 16, 1946 in Monahans,  Texas. He preceded her in death in 2006.
They moved to Andrews in 1957 from Brownfield.
She was a member of the Andrews Chrch of Christ. Dorothy worked for more than 10 years as a Dispatcher for the Andrews County Sherriff Department.

She enjoyed music and crocheting, she also enjoyed visisting her friends and family.

She is survived by One Son - Craig Cummins of Andrews, One Daughter - Scarlett Lee of Andrews. one Brother - Douglas Scarlett of Alaska; one Sister - Donna Lee Early of Snyder,  Texas; two grandchildren and Three Great-Grandchildren.

NEVA BRANNAN
October 5, 2007

Services for Neva Brannan 80, of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Jeff Donnell, pastor of First Baptist and Randy Gunter.
Burial will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Neva passed away Friday morning at the Crane Nursing and Rehab Center in Crane,  Texas. Neva was born on August 12, 1927 in  White Flat,  Texas. She married Ira Lee Brannan on February 18, 1948 in Stratford,  Texas. Neva was a home maker and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include, husband; Ira Lee Brannan, Andrews, sons; Stephen L. Brannan, Odessa, Phillip L. Brannan, Andrews and David L. Brannan, Austin, sister; Zelma Faye Phillips, Levelland, grandchildren; Erin Mannix, Odessa, Genece Loftin, Houston, Kate Brannan, Austin, Stephen Lane Brannan, Denver, CO, Micah Brannan, Colorado City, TX and Marshall Brannan, Austin, great grandchildren; Harleigh Mannix, McLane Mannix, Brannan Dane Mannix and Ethan Scott Garcia.

Neva was prededed in death by two sisters, Frances Riley and Delma Harris.

Family visitation will be Monday, October 8, 2007 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

WELDON C. INGRAM
September 28, 2007

Memorial services for Weldon C. Ingram, 86 of Andrews, will be Graveside, 2:00 PM Monday, October 1, 2007 at the Andrews Old Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Rick Doyle, pastor of Means Memorial United Methodist Church. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Monday, October 1, 2007 at McNett Funeral Home.

Weldon passed away at his home in Andrews Friday morning, September 28, 2007. Weldon was born on July 19, 1921 in Moran,  Texas. He served in the Army in W.W. II. Weldon married Mary Ruth Roberts on February 11, 1939 in Lovington, NM. Weldon was a tool pusher for Parker Drilling before retirement. Mary preceded him in death on April 7, 1989.

Survivors include, daughter; Lavonne and husband Don Adams, Ruidoso, NM, son; Don and Kay Ingram, Andrews and three grandchildren.

ELI WILLIAM GEBHARDT
September 20, 2007

Services for Eli William Gebhardt, infant son of Eric and Natalie Gebhardt of Andrews, will be Graveside, 2:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2007 in the Andrews West Cemetery. Officiating will Ronnie  White, minister of the Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Eli was born on Thursday, September 20, 2007 in Odessa.

He is survived by, parents; Eric and Natalie Gebhardt, Andrews, (Eric is in the military Korea) sisters; Bryana and Emma Gebhardt both of Andrews, grandparents; Tommy and Jackie Thatcher, Andrews, Herbert Gebhardt, Maryville, TN, Rebecca Jane Carpenter, Knoxville, TN, great grandparents; Jack and Estella Hodges, Andrews.

CRAWFORD B.J. WILLIAMS
September 15, 2007

Crawford Donald "B.J." Williams, 54, of Midland passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007 at his home in Midland.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

B.J. was born March 8, 1953 in Andrews,  Texas. He graduated from Andrews High School in 1971, and immediately enlisted in the US Air Force. There he served as a Morse Systems Operator for three years and ended his military career with an honorary discharge.
B.J. attended Midland College where he played on the basketball team. Then he went to U.T. Arlington, working towards a business degree. His work profession in 1976 began with United Parcel Service where he became the Preload Manager. After that, his line of work was with the Frito Lay Company as a routesman. His ending career was as Regional Sales Manager for the Kraft Company.

B.J. is Survived by: his loving wife, Louise Williams of Midland,  Texas; his son, Crawford Donald Williams III of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Cynthia Wright and husband Biff of Hobbs, NM, and April Meekins of Midland, three brothers, Glen Williams and wife Debra of Dallas,  Texas, Billy Jo Dixon of Andrews,  Texas, and Archie L. Williams and wife Molly of Stockbridge, Georgia; Two Sisters, Connie Baugh and husband Tyrone of Mapleton, Georgia; Felita Williams -Morgan and husband Lorenzo of Riverdale, Georgia; One Uncle Charlie  Johnson of Midland; and Two Granddaughters, Alexis Wright of Hobbs, NM and Brianna Meekins of Midland; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

KAREN KAY EGAN NEFF
September 12, 2007

Services for Karen Kay Egan Neff, 63 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 15, 2007 in the First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. James T. Egan, son and Rev. H.A. Hanks, Jr. of Andrews. Burial will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Karen passed away at her home Wednesday, September 12, 2007. Karen was born on July 21, 1944 in Sinton,  Texas. She married Jimmy Don Egan August 13, 1962, he preceded her in death on September 29, 1991. Karen married Tom Neff on April 27, 1992 in Colorado City,  Texas.
Karen was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include,husband; Tom Neff, Andrews, daughter; Melissa and husband Brian Colin, Austin, TX, son; James T. and wife Kelli Egan, Post, TX, step-children; Mickey Neff and wife Sally of Colorado City,  Texas, Jeff Neff and wife Julie of Lubbock, Julie Jo Shea and husband Steve of Bosman, Montana, Holland Ann O'neil and husband Kelly of Dallas, Karen Angelia Neff of Santa Monica, California, a brother Robert Truett and wife Sue Childress, Jr. Cleburne, TX, a brother Jack Clifton Childress preceded Karen in death. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren.

MARY BEA CORLEY
September 11, 2007

Services for Mary Bea Riley Corley, 81 of Abilene, formerly of Andrews, will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 14, 2007 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Kevin Bullard, pulpit minister of Andrews Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Bea passed away at her daughters residence in Austin,  Texas early Tuesday morning, September 11, 2007. She was born in Colorado City,  Texas on June 27, 1926. Bea married Carl E. Corley in 1948 in Brownfield,  Texas. She lived in  Louisiana several years and many towns in West  Texas including Andrews, Seminole, Brownfield and Abilene. She and her husband also spent many years in the Middle East, Persian Gulf Area in the mid 1970's. Bea was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Corley preceded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include, sons; Robert C. Corley, Bayou Vista, LA, Richard E. Corley, Lafayette, LA, daughter; Reba G. Crowson, Pflugerville, TX, brother; Sam Riley, Jr, Andrews, sisters; Martha Hungerford, Andrews, Stella Creeman, Weatherford, TX and Cora Holmes, Brownfield, TX. Six grandchildern and two great grandchildren.

SAMUEL R. McBETH
September 11, 2007

Services for Samuel R. McBeth, 82 of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Graveside Friday, September 14, 2007 in the Andrews West Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Jeff Donnell, pastor of First Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Samuel passed away at his residence Tuesday, September 11, 2007. He was born on November 26, 1924 at Mt. Pleasant,  Pennsylvania. Samuel maried Kathleen Deniece Coker on March 3,1945 at Grenada, Mississippi. Samuel was a retired production superintendent for ARCO and a member of First Baptist Church. Deniece preceded Samuel in death on November 7, 2002.

Survivors include, sons; David McBeth, Plano, TX, Bill McBeth, Hoover, AL, brother; Gene McBeth, Seminole, TX, half brothers; Dick McBeth, Maryland, Jack McBeth, Mt. Pleasant, PA, sisters; Ruth Oppegard, Big Spring, TX, Betty Roadman, Mt. Pleasant, PA, half sisters; Phyliss Teaters and Lois Ciletti, both of Mt. Pleasant, PA,and three grandchildren.

JAMES NOLLAN DUNCAN
September 7, 2007

Services for James Nollan Duncan, 25 of Abilene,  Texas will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 10, 2007 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be minister C.A. Smith of Southside Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

James passed away at his home in Abilene Friday, September 7, 2007. He was born on August 3, 1982 in Odessa. He graduated from Andrews High School in 2001. James won several awards in DECA for his welding projects. He worked in food service at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene.

Survivors include, mother and step-father; Jannette and James Geers, Andrews, sister; Velma Dee Duncan, Andrews and grandparents; Nollan and Modean Beck, Calvin,  Oklahoma.

LELAND B. WILLIAMS
September 6, 2007

Leland B. Williams, 88, of Andrews passed away Thursday,
September 6, 2007 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 9, 2007 at Northcrest Baptist Church in Andrews.

Leland was born June 3, 1919 in Plainview, Arkansas. Served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He moved to Andrews in 1947.
He married Earlene Parker Mills, August 29, 1966.
He owned and operated B.Williams and Sons, a clothing store in Andrews for 36 years.
He was a member of the Shriners, Scottish Rite, Masonic lodge, VFW, Friends of the Library, and was a charter member of the Andrews Country Club. He attended Northcrest Baptist Church in Andrews.

He is survived by, wife; Earlene Williams of Andrews, three daughters; Valera Stroop of Andrews, Carolyn Palmer of Gainsville, Georgia, and Susan Powers of Stillwater,  Oklahoma. one brother; James Williams of Duncanville,  Texas, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Andrews Senior Center, 310 West Broadway, Andrews, TX 79714.

KRISTEN CORBIN
August 29, 2007

Services for Kristen K. Corbin 17, of Andrews, will be 2:00 PM Saturday September 1, 2007 in Andrews Civic Center (James Roberts Center). Officiating will be Dr. Jeff Donnell, pastor of First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Kristen passed away in Odessa Wednesday evening, August 29, 2007. She was born in Lubbock,  Texas on March 12, 1990. She had lived all her life in Andrews and would have been a senior this year at Andrews High School. She was active with the First Baptist Church Youth Group, she was manager of the varsity volleyball team, active in cross county, basketball, track and softball and was a friend to all.

Survivors include, parents; mother and step-father Jolisa and Jay Collinsworth, Andrews, father and step-mother Kenneth and Sherry Corbin, Andrews, sisters; Kali Corbin, Lubbock, Kendra Corbin, Andrews, step-sisters; Kelli Leach, Battle Creek, Michigan, Kayla Leach, Portalis, New Mexico, step-brother; Greg Leach, Lubbock, grandparents; Neil & Dottie Barrier, Brownfield, Sharon Corbin, Abilene, Ken Corbin, Fresno, CA, step-grandparents; Cynthia Jone, Andrews and Van & Vera Mills, San Angelo, TX

MARISOL MARQUEA MALTOS

Marisol Maltos, 37, of Suprise, Arizona (formerly of Andrews), passed away Saturday August 25, 2007, in Pheonix, Arizona.

A Rosary will be held, at 7:00 Wednesday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. Rev. Joey Faylona will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery.

Marisol was born May 31, 1970 in Ojinaga, Mexico. She was a long time resident of Andrews and Graduated from Andrews High School in 1988. She worked for Walmart as the Bakery Manager for several years. She married Rogelio maltos May 21, 2002 in Peoria, Arizona.

She loved to bake, and she loved her job, she was a loving mother and wife. She also loved to shop and make blankets.

She is survived by; Her husband, Rogelio Maltos of Suprise, AZ; two daughters, Serina Naverrete, and Anahi maltos, and one Son, Rogelio Maltos all of Suprise, AZ; her Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel (Cruz) Marquez of Andrews; Three Brothers, Noel Marquez, Artemio Marquez and Renee Marquez all of Andrews, and one sister Susana Marquez of Andrews.
