Juan De Dios "Johnny" Lopez, 66, of Andrews pass away Friday July 18, 2008, in a Lubbock hospital.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 Tuesday July 22, 2008 at McNett Funeral home Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Andrews. Father Joey Faylona will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Johnny was born March 8, 1942 in Sanderson. he served in the US Army, and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
He worked as a salesman for Andrews Lumber for over 30 Years. He Loved the Dallas Cowboys. Johnny loved to sing and listen to music. He loved to his granddaughters softball games and the Andrews Mustang football games.
Johnny is survived by two daughters - Stacey Lynn Royal and husband Vincent of Andrews; Maribel Rebecca Zamora and husband Orlando of Andrews; for brothers - Arturo Lopez and wife Amelia of Lubbock; Jorge F. Lopez of San Angelo, Oscar F. Lopez of Midland, Jesus R. Lopez, Jr. of Andrews; two sisters - Berta Lopez of Andrews and Maria Elana Thrasher and husband Larry of Tyler; and Nine Grandchildren.

Nina Ballard, 90, of Hobbs passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Hobbs Heathcare Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday July 19, 2008 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Pastor Dean Shropshire of Hobbs will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemtery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
Nina was born January 8, 1918 in Whitsboro, Oklahoma She married Finis Ewing Ballard February 4, 1961 in Carlsbad, NM. He preceded her in death December 4, 1983.
She was a longtime resident of Andrews.
She is survived by: Two Daughters - Noleane Hoopes of Hobbs, NM and Cami McCurdy of Midland; Three sons - Jimmy Thompson of Carlsbad, NM; Jack Thompson of Garland, Texas and Jerry Thompson of San Antonio, Texas; Fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Andrews, Clint, Robby and Michael Thompson, Chris and Danny Terrell.

Cleone Colvin, 91, of Andrews passed away Thursday July 17, 2008 at her home in Andrews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at First Baptist Church in Andrews. Rev. H.A. Hanks will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Mrs. Colvin was born February 15, 1917 in Stephenville, Texas. She married Raymond E. Colvin February 29, 1944 in Shreveport, LA.
They moved to Andrews from Midland in 1948. Mrs. Colvin was a school teacher for forty-four years and she retired in 1987.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she also taught Sunday school for many years. She loved to garden and was a member of the Ocotillo Garden Club. She loved to play the piano and sing hymns. After she retired she published a cookbook, A+ in Cooking.
She was a member and past local chapter president of the NEA.
Mrs. Colvin loved people and loved to study her Bible.
She was preceded in death by, her husband Raymond in 1997, brothers Clint and Edgar Fields, Sisters, Ruth Spencer, Edna Jones, Nela Allison, and Cora Davies.
She is survived by: two daughters - Lana Jane Albers of Richardson, Texas; and Donna Sue Lambert of Cedar Park, Texas; one sister - Jenny Lois Pack of Stephenville; Five grandchildren and Six great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her care givers, Isela Hill, Eva Velasquez, Pat and John Toush and all the wonderful people at Home Hospice in Andrews.

Armando Garcia, 75, of Andrews passed away July 16, 2008 at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
A Rosary will be 7:00 PM Thursday July 17, 2008 at McNett Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Friday July 18, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Father Joey Faylona will officiate.
Mr. Garcia was born August 26, 1932 in Ojinaga, Mexico. h was a long time resident of Andrews. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing pool and poker.
He married Celestina Marquez March 7, 1953 in Ojinaga.
He is survived by: His wife Celestina Garcia of Andrews; Three sons - Luis Garcia of Andrews; Hector Garcia of Midland, Cecil Garcia of Dallas; Three daughters - Erolinda Garcia of Andrews; Juana Reyes of San Antonio, Marivell Saenz of Andrews; Five sisters - Romelia Gomez of New Mexico; Manuela Tavarez of Odessa; Socorro Carrasco, Celia Lara, and Amparo Salcido all of Midland; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Pauline Barnes, 88, of Whitehouse, Texas Formerly of Andrews, passed away at her home in Whitehouse, July 16, 2008.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday July 21, 2008 at Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Melton of Andrews will officiate.
Pauline was born November 11, 1919 in Jack COunty, Texas. She married Lenard Barnes October 1, 1938 in Boswell, Oklahoma.
he preceded her in death July 20, 1980.
They moved to Andrews in 1948.
She loved to work word puzzels and play solitare. She love to watch all the different Judges Shows on TV as well as the Price is Right. She was a good christian woman and she loved to eat sweets.
She is survived by Three sons = john J.C. Barnes, and Roger Barnes both of Andrews and Loyd Barnes of Whitehouse; Two daughters - Thelma McKee of Odessa; and Linda Patterson of Andrews; one brother - Robert Nelson of Carthage, Texas, and one sister - Gracie Roberts of Arlington; eight-teen grandchildren, fourty-eight great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.

Myrta Nichols, 99, of Andrews passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Thursday July 17, 2008 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Big Spring, Texas. The family will officiate. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
Mrs. Nichols was born October 17, 1908 in Dickens County, Texas. She married Oliver Nichols October 7, 1931, in Lovington, NM. She lived in or around big spring for many years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Elbow, Texas and she taught Sunday School there as well.
She enjoyed painting with oils and water color. She loved to grow flowers and she beloved that if you could;t say something nice, you shouldn't say anything.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Oliver in November of 1975; her brother Russell Smith in the early 1930's and her grandson, Kevin Jackson.
She is survived by daughter - Charlotte Jackson of Andrews; three sons - Oliver "Buddy" Nichols, Jr. of Big Spring; Dick Charles Nichols of Big Spring, Jerry Paul Nichols of Seminole, and Lonnie Carl Nichols of Big Spring. Eleven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Leslie Jimenez, 17, of Andrews passed away July 12, 2008 in Denver City, Texas.

Leslie was born October 5, 1990 in Andrews. She was a student at Andrews High School where She was a member of the Spanish Club. She worked at Sonic Drive In in Andrews and she loved to bring home stray cats and she loved cats and dogs. She was also a member of Upward Bound in Odessa.
She is survived by her Guardians - Jose and Darla Jimenez of Andrews; Mother Blanca Jimenez, Father Domingo Bejarano, Sisters Kristina Garcia of Odessa; Edit Bejarano, Anahi Bejarano and Ruby Bejarano all of Midland, and one brother - Isaac Bejarano of Midland; Grandmother - Teresa Jimenez of Andrews.

Victoria passed away at her home in Andrews, Saturday, July 12, 2008. She was born on July 4, 1947 in El Mulato Chih, Mexico.
She married Jose S. Mora in Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of the Templo La Nueva Jerusalem Church. Her husband Jose preceded her in death in 2006. Also preceding her in death was a brother Rodrigo Morales and a sister Esther Heredia.
Survivors include, sons; Jose Mora, Jr., Midland, Jeremy Mora, Odessa, daughters; Josephina Tavarez, Odessa, Maribel Mora,

Jose passed away at his home in Andrews Friday evening, July 11, 2008. He was born on August 24, 1932 in Mulato Jinaga, Chih, Mexico. He married Sonorina Hernandez on September 8, 1956 in Mulato. Jose was a farmer and a Catholic.
Survivors include, wife; Sonorina, Andrews, son; Manuel Heredia, Mexico, daughters; Romelia Gonzalez, Port La Vaca, Texas, Teresa Flores, Andrews, Lorana Armendariz, Mexico, Bertha Socorro, Mexico, sisters; Manuela Barreto, Odessa, Maria Heredia, Mexico, fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Quata Coley 83 of Andrews, will be 10:00 AM Monday, July 14, 2008 in Means Memorial United Methodist Church. Rev. Rick Doyle will officiate. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Quata passed away in Odessa Thursday, July 10, 2008. She was born on September 8, 1924 in Hico, Texas to Willie and Florence Simons Boatright. Quata married Joseph M. Coley on December 22, 1944 in Los Angeles, CA. She was a telephone operator for Contel telephone company for over 20 years. Quata was a member of the Means Memorial United Methodist Church and active with the "Pink Ladies" hospital auxiliary for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Dewey Wright, her husband Joseph Coley in 1961, a son Pat Coley in 1999 and a daughter Marla Frazier in 1991.
Survivors include, daughters; Debra Gall, Lewisville, Texas and Dawn Lloyd, Ogden, Utah, ten grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, July 13, 2008 at the funeral home.
