JERRY M. LYNCH
July 22, 2009

Jerry Lynch, 51, of Andrews passed away Wednesday July 22, 2009 at Permian Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Andrews Church of Christ. David Lough, of University Church of Christ in Canyon will officiate. Graveside services will be 5:00 PM Central Time in Lovington, NM, under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Jerry was born March 18, 1958 in Lovington, NM. He married Kim Blevins May 26 1979 in Lovington, NM. They moved to Andrews in 1981.
Jerry owned Andrews Builders Supply Company in Andrews. He was very active in his community, he was serving on the school board for his 3rd term, he served on the board of directors for: the Andrews Chamber of Commerce, Permian Regional Medical Center, Mustang Booster Club, Business and Trade Association, the Andrews Housing Authority, and the Andrews Lions Club, he was also an Ambassador for Andrews Chamber of Commerce. Jerry was a member of Andrews Church of Christ where he was also very active, he was a Deacon, Song leader, he was involved in the Children's ministries, and he also drove the Church bus to pick up and deliver children to church functions.
Jerry loved sports and was a true fan of all Andrews Mustang sports teams.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father Medlin Lynch, in 2005.

He is survived by; Wife- Kim Lynch; daughters - Kelsy Lynch of Lubbock; Korey Lynch McMillan of Katy,  Texas; his mother Charlotte Lynch of Lovington, NM; one brother - David Lynch of Lovington; and one sister - Lynette Lough of Canyon,  Texas.

JAVE VAN DILL
July 19, 2009

Jave Van "J.V." Dill, 77, of Andrews passed away Sunday July 19, 2009 at Hospice House in Odessa.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 Am Wednesday at Northcrest Baptist Church in Andrews. Pastor, Harvey Enriquez will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Mr. Dill was born April 21, 1932 in Tipton,  Oklahoma. He married Alma Faye Baker, August 1, 1952 in Brownfield,  Texas, she preceded him in death in 2002. He retired from Unical. He loved to bowl when he was younger. He enjoyed playing Video games with his grandson. J.V. had a great senses of humor and loved to make his family laugh. and he was known for his generosity.

He is survived by: three daughters - Rita Faye Woodall of Odessa, Cleta  White of Andrews; and Gaye Martin of Andrews; One brother - G.W. Dill of Brownfield, and one sister - Clydos Jowers of Brownfield, Six Grandchildren and Seven Great-grandchildren.

ROSA MORRIS
July 19, 2009

Services for Rosa Morris 35 of Andrews, will be a funeral mass at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church. A rosary was held Monday, July 20, 2009 at 7:00 PM at McNett Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Rosa passed away in Midland, Sunday, July 19, 2009. She was born on June 12, 1974 in Andrews. Rosa was a photographer for several years and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Survivors include, father; Manuel Medina, sisters; Juanita Mayes and Martha Novo Gravac, both of Andrews, Mary Galvan, Mesquite, TX, brother; Hector Trevino, Kilgore, TX grandmothers; Juanita Galvan, Andrews, Micaela Soto De Medina, Ventura, CA. uncles;
Hector Medina and Lupe Medina both of Andrews, Donato Medina, Durango, Mexico and Miguel Medina,  Oklahoma City, OK.

EDWIN BOWLEY
July 10, 2009

Edwin Bowley, 52, of Andrews passed away Friday July 10, 2009 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday July 13, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church in Andrews. Doug Hale of Lubbock will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Edwin was born March 23, 1957 in Portales, New Mexico. he married Zandra Williams July 2, 1982 in Roswell, NM. They moved to Andrews in 1983 from Roswell.
Mr. Bowley worked for Occidental Petroleum as a Workover and Completion Specialist, and he loved his work. Edwin also enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and gardening. He loved to wash cars and washing them "the right way". He enjoyed politics, and was a member of the Republican party and the NRA. He loved his family and doing just about anything with his son and grandson.

He is survived by: his wife - Zandra Bowley of Andrews; one son - Matt Bowley of Lubbock. Parents - Noel Bowley of Ruidoso, NM and Mona Kay Crow of Morton, TX; two sisters - Nola Kay Miller of Roswell, NM; Susan Dee Coffman of Vacaville, California; Grandson - Slay Nix Bowley of Lubbock; Grandmothers - Pansy Evans of Lubbock and Ruth Moody of Corpus Christi,  Texas; Mother and father in law - Euell and Dana Williams of Rio Ranch, NM.

ARLINE ANDES
July 7, 2009

Services for Arline Andes 85 of Andrews will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 10, 2009 at Andrews Church of Christ with ministers Kevin Bullard and Fred Dominguez officiating. A visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Arline passed away in Andrews Tuesday evening July 7, 2009. She was born on May 31, 1924 in Rotan,  Texas. Arline married Russel Wayne Andes on February 1, 1947 in Abilene,  Texas. They lived in Pecos,  Texas several years before moving to Andrews in 2007. Arline worked in food service in the school system for many years, she was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include, sons; Michael Wayne Andes, Halletsville,  Texas, Carroll Lee Andes, Andrews,  Texas. daughter; Jeanette Cantrell, Houston,  Texas, brother; Leland Driver, Temecula, California, sister; Christine Alden, San Angelo,  Texas, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

WILLIAM CLIFFORD PRICE
June 30, 2009

William C. Price, 67, of Andrews passed away early Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at his home in Andrews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Means Memorial United Methodist Church in Andrews. Pastor Rick Doyle will officiate. Burial will follow in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

William was born December 12, 1941 in Olustee,  Oklahoma. He moved to Andrews with his family in 1950 from California William married Paralee Speer December 12, 1961 in Andrews.

He was a member of Means Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a cowboy for many years and worked on the C Ranch near Andrews for many years. He was a handy man and enjoyed working on things. He loved to fish and work with and ride horses and was an avid roper. William was the first school mascott for Andrews High School, he rode the horse named Snip. He owned and operated his own packing company as well as worked for several other oil field service companies. In his later years he was a consultant for the oil field.

William was preceded in death by his mother; Benito Jean Moorehead, father; A.J. "Bubs" Price, sister; Sandra Divelbiss, uncle; Kenneth Morehead, grandsons; Imcas Benjamin Price, and Payton James Cook and his son-in-law; Robert Owen Cook.

He is survived by his wife; Paralee Price of Andrews, one daughter; Tammie Cook of Andrews, one son; William C. "Buddy" Price, Jr.and his wife Anja of Tucson, AZ, granddaughter; Amanda Pyle and husband Josh of Lubbock, grandson; Robert Zane Cook and wife Jenna of Midland, and one great grand-daughter; Avery Pyle of Lubbock.

RUBY LEE PARKER
June 29, 2009

Ruby Lee Parker, 93, of Andrews passed away Monday, June 29, 2009 at her home in Andrews.

A visitation is set for 6:00 PM -8:00 PM Thursday at McNett Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at First Baptist Church in Andrews. Rev. James Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Ruby was born August 28, 1915 in Sabine Parrish, LA. to Jim Tom and Sadie Brumley. She married Johnnie Parker December 13, 1935 in Eunice, NM, he preceded her in death January 24, 2000.
They lived in Seminole until the 1940's when they moved to an oil camp in Andrews County. They moved into the city of Andrews in the 1950's. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church since the 1940's and she loved serving the Lord and her church. She was a member of the prayer group at church and a past member of the Victory Singers, she loved to play Chicken foot dominos with the ladies of the church. She enjoyed painting and arts and crafts. She loved her family and enjoyed going to family reunions, she loved to travel.

Mrs. Parker is survived by, one son;Doyle Parker and wife Shirley of Ruidoso, NM, one sister; Opal Clark and husband Floyd of Shreveport, LA.,three grandchildren; Kim Guerrero and husband Mike of Roswell, NM, Rusty Parker and wife Tonja of Little Rock, AR, Donise Alvarez and husband Jose of Austin, TX, eight great grandchildren; Kelly, Josh Creech Cade, Jake Guerrero, Haleigh Womack and husband Jesse, Brooks Parker, Vanessa Koran and husband Kris and Austin Alvarez.

The family asked for memorial gifts be made in Ruby's name to your favorite charity.

BRYAN "MOHAWK" ALEXANDER
June 26, 2009

Services for Bryan "Mohawk" Alexander 83 of Andrews, will be 10:00 AM Monday June 29, 2009 in McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the directon of McNett Funeral Home.
Bryan passed away in Andrews Friday night, June 26, 2009. He was born on November 20, 1925 in Garvin, Ok. He married Charlene Thomas in Stigler, Ok in 1946. Bryan served in the Navy in WWII on the U.S.S. Shangri-La. Bryan was an operator for a tool company before retirement.

Survivors include, Wife; Charlene Alexander, Andrews, daughters; Nora McClanahan, Andrews, Connie Lewis, Avinger, TX, half sisters; Helen Schiefersien,  Oklahoma City, OK, Katherine Wicks, Broken Bow, OK, Nadine Stevenson, Ventura, CA, Patsy Cosper, Oak Harbor, WA, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

JAYCE MARK MOORE
December 31, 2009

Jayce Mark Moore infanat son of Christi Sawyer and Jonathan Moore, Sr. of Andrews, passed away, December 31, 2009 in Odessa,  Texas.

Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2010 at Northcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Harvey Enriquez officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Jayce was preceded in death by a brother, Jonathan Mark Moore, Jr. on August 8, 2008.

Survivors include, parents; Christi Sawyer and Jonathan Mark Moore, Sr., Andrews, brothers; James W. Sawyer, Jason M. DELFINA ZAMORA
December 30, 2009

Delfina Zamora, 86, of Andrews, passed away at her home, Wednesday, December 30, 2009.

She will be in state for visitation at her home Friday January 1, 2010.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Filadelphia Assembly of God Church in Andrews. Rev. Samuel Emiliano will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Delfina was born May 21, 1923 in Villa Wnion Coah, Mexico. She married Jose Zamora June 19, 1942. They moved to Andrews from Mexico in 1966.
She loved to garden and raise her plants. She loved to cook and sew for her family and made lots of clothes for them. She was a very good homemaker and everything and to be in its place and all clothes had to be pressed and ironed.

She is survived by, three sons; Jose, Raymondo and Juan Zamora all of Andrews, six daughters; Maria Jesusita Ronda, Mariana Contreras, Maria Louisa Tapia, Guadalupita Martinez, Maria Martinez, and Rosa Maria Garcia all of Andrews, two brothers; Rafael Casteneda and Guadalupe Casteneda and one sister; Paula Sanchez all of Brownwood, 47 grandchildren, 99 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Rosa Gunter, 75, of Andrews, passed away at her home Monday, December 28, 2009.

Services for Roza Gunter 75 of Andrews will be a memorial service at First Baptist Church 2:00 PM Thursday, December 31, 2009 with Dr. Jeff Donnell officiating.

Roza was born on May 30, 1934 in San Angelo,  Texas. She married Randy Gunter on July 16, 1955 in Andrews. Roza was a member of The First Baptist Church and was a teacher's aid before retirement.

Survivors include, husband; Randy Gunter, Andrews, sons; Richard Gunter, Andrews, Matt Gunter, Salt Lake City, UT, Tim Gunter, Chicago, IL, daughter; Robin Lynn Warren, Zephyrhills, FL, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren
