Mr. William (Bill) Luther Dean, age 61 of Kerrville, passed away Monday, November 17, 2003 in Camdenton, MO. He was born June 27, 1942 in Corpus Christi, TX to William Dean and Maybelle Reeves. On January 14, 1999, he married Robin Ra’Nae Hanson in Las Vegas, NV.
Bill served in the United States Marine Corps from 1960-1961. He was a truck driver for twenty years and a self employed private investigator. He loved to travel and fish and loved Las Vegas. Bill was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Dean of Kerrville; mother, Maybelle Reeves Biggs of Kerrville; daughters, Regina Manning of Boerne, and Joni R. Dean of Kerrville; sons, William F. Dean of San Antonio, Terrence Dean of Kerrville and Johnny R. Dean of Sulphur Springs, TX; brother, Larry Biggs, Jr. of Salem, OR and three grandchildren, Jessica Dean, Justin Bates Dean and  Taylor Manning.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Dean.

Services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2003, 2:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Allen Dickman.

Pallbearers will be Howard Glover, Mike Scott, Matt Glover, Billy Hudson, Lester Woodruff and Cleveland Allsup.

Honorary pallbearers will be William F. Dean, Johnny R. Dean, Terrence E. Dean, Allen Dickman and Louie Nordman.

Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2003, 7-9 p.m. at Grimes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William Luther Dean Memorial Fund at Bank of the Hills, 1075 Junction Hwy., Kerrville, TX 78028, to help with funeral expenses.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to GRIMES FUNERAL CHAPELS of Kerrville.

Eurial Roy Dearing, Jr.
Born in Georgetown, TX on July 5, 1947
Departed on July 29, 2003 and resided in Kerrville, TX.

Mr. Eurial Roy Dearing, Jr., age 56 of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at his residence. He was born July 5, 1947 in Georgetown,  Texas to Eurial Moses Dearing, Sr. and Ouida Jueva (Cook) Dearing.

Mr. Dearing was a member of Calvary Temple Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Kendra Michelle Way and Kristy Lynn Dearing, both of Kerrville and their mother, Kathy Lynn Dearing of Burleson, TX; two sisters, Paula Sue Strong of Houston and Deneice Smith of Oregon; and two grandchildren, Gabriel Kane Heitkamp and Ashlynn Michelle Way, both of Kerrville.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, August 3, 2003, 3:30 p.m. at Calvary Temple Church with Pastor Del Way officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of GRIMES FUNERAL CHAPELS of Kerrville.

Gregoria Garza De Leon

Gregoria Garza De Leon, 79, was called home by our Heavenly Father on December 1, 2004. After a courageous battle with liver disease, she has finally finished the race and is in Glory with our Lord. "Goyita" is preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Sabas Guevara and Gregoria Garza Guevara, and by four brothers, Reverend Sabas Guevara Jr., Juan Guevara, Abel Guevara, and Alfredo Guevara. She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 58 years, Jose B. De Leon, three children, Elizabeth Allen, Jose De Leon Jr. and his wife Mary Louise, and April Cox and her husband, Hubert. She also leaves behind brothers Eliseo Guevara, Esequiel Guevara, Eleazar Guevara, and Frank Guevara, two sisters, Beatrice Muniz and Esther Aranda, twelve grandchildren: Tyler Cox, Cody Cox, Liza Sauceda, Jennifer Allen-VanHee, Pepper Hodge, Lisa Dawn Nesmith, Patti De Leon-Prieto, Joseph De Leon, Steven De Leon, Valerie Dibrell, Leslie Castillo, Jennifer Fuentes; fifteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Goyita left behind a beautiful memory; her heart of gold touched so many lives--to know her was to love her. The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Leonard Bentch, Dr. Richard Martinez, and the staff of Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg, TX, who fought so hard to sustain and increase her quality of life. We extend our thanks also to the caring and supportive staff of Bluebonnet Hospice. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2004, 3:00 PM at Grimes Funeral Home, in Bandera,  Texas. Interment will follow at Pipe Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to GRIMES FUNERAL CHAPELS of Bandera.

Robert A. "Bob" Denson
Born in Beaumont, TX on September 18, 1942
Departed on October 13, 2003, and resided in Hunt, TX.

Mr. Robert A. "Bob" Denson, age 61 of Hunt, TX, passed away Monday, October 13, 2003 at a Kerrville hospital. Bob, a resident of Hunt for 26 years and a prior resident of Beaumont, TX, was born September 18, 1942 in Beaumont to William and Helen (Dean) Denson. He married Sally Hartel in Beaumont on September 17, 1977.

Mr. Denson was once Kerr County Judge and former owner of the Hunt Store. He was also an attorney.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Denson of Hunt; daughter, Kristen Eckert of Lumberton, TX; three brothers, Woody Denson of Houston, Tom Denson of Baytown and Terry Denson of Beaumont; four grandchildren, Brittanny and Alexandra Irving and Nathan and Mathew Denson.

Services will be held Thursday, October 16, 2003, 4:30 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe and Rev. Neal Matthews. Visitation will immediately follow from 5-7 p.m. at Grimes.

Memorial remembrances may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to GRIMES FUNERAL CHAPELS of Kerrville.

William Charles "Willie" Devers, Jr.
Born in San Antonio, TX on May 16, 1964

Mr. William Charles "Willie" Devers, Jr., age 40 of Lakehills,  Texas passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at his residence. He was born May 16, 1964 in San Antonio,  Texas to William Charles Devers, Jr. & Bonnie L. Arnold Devers. He had been a Lakehills resident for 10 years, formerly residing in San Antonio. He was a driller/blaster for an explosive service.
He loved to fish, hunt and working his land. He loved and enjoyed his dirt bike and loved his family.

Survivors are: mother, Bonnie Thompson & husband, Allan of San Antonio; father, William "Bill" Devers of Lakehills; grandmother, Ida Arnold of San Antonio; daughter, Tammijo Devers of Floresville,  Texas; four sisters, Debbie Rankins & husband, Percy of Jourdanton, TX, Tammy Devers of Georgia, Pam Devers & husband, Paul  Schmidt of Lakehills and Theresa Eakle & husband, James of San Antonio and a brother, Michael Devers & wife, Lisa of Lakehills.

Graveside services for Mr. Devers will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Pipe Creek Cemetery with Pasto Wade Strother officiating

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 26, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera.

Mrs. Lula Mae DeVille
Born in Tivoli, TX on December 16, 1914
Departed on January 31, 2003 and resided in Kerrville, TX.

Service Location: Grimes Funeral Chapels

Mrs. Lula Mae DeVille, age 88 of Kerrville, passed away, Friday, January 31, 2003 at a local hospital. She was born in Tivoli, TX on December 16, 1914 to Jacob Leroy Smith and Geneva Adeline (Kring) Smith. She married Herman B. DeVille in Edna, TX on November 17, 1931. He preceded her in death in 1981.

Mrs. DeVille was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Edna. She converted and was Baptized at age 19. She was also active in a local Bible study in Kerrville.

Survivors include her daughter, Lyndell Beth Carriker and husband, Floyd of Kerrville; son, Dr. Robert Allan DeVille and wife, Kay of Ridgeland, MS; two brothers, Arthur W. Smith of Burton, TX and Sidney Smith of Friendswood, TX; two grandchildren, Arther L. Brown and wife, Elizabeth of Kerrville and Christopher Robert DeVille and wife, Alisha of Ridgeland, MS; three great grandchildren, Westin Art Brown of Kerrville, Bethany Elise Brown of Kerrville, and Abigail Elizabeth DeVille of Ridgeland, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman B. DeVille and son, Carl James DeVille.

Services will be held, Monday, February 3, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Dr. Mel Hardin officiating. Interment will follow at Comfort Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Art Brown, Chris DeVille, Harry Muir, David Smith, Neil Richardson and Ed Edwards.

Those who desire, may make memorial contributions to Sunrise Baptist Church, 1200 Broadway, Kerrville, TX 78028.

Roy H. Dickens

Mr. Roy H. Dickens, age 78 of Kerrville, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2004 at his residence. He was born December 22, 1925 in Berthville, KY to Bercie and Elva (Scott) Dickens. In 1996, he married Guadalupe Centeno in Kerrville.

Roy was a repair machinist for GMC. He was in the United States Marine Corps and fought in WWII. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, AARP, NRA and the Sympathy Club CPC in Marion, Indiana.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Dickens of Kerrville; Janie Jaime Carrillo and husband Thomas Carrillo of Kerrville; son, Erasmo Jaime of Kerrville and three grandchildren, Clarissa Jaime, Alisha Aracellie and Alec Carrillo.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX, officiated by Deacon Charles Domingues.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 291231, Kerrville, TX 78029.

George Thomas Dickerson, Jr.
"Bandido Bud"

Mr. George Thomas Dickerson, Jr., age 50, known as Bandido Bud, passed away Friday, September 26, 2003 in New Braunfels, TX. He was born September 30, 1952 to George Thomas Dickerson, Sr. and Dorothy Louise (Jones) Dickerson in Easton, MD.

Bandido Bud was a member of Bandidos MC, Hill Country Chapter. He was also a self-employed carpenter.

He is survived by his step-father, Charles L. Horseman of New Jersey; daughters, Tracy Dickerson and Mandy Dickerson of New Jersey; sons, George Thomas Dickerson, III and Jake Dickerson of New Jersey; sisters, Karen Rodrigues of El Paso, and Pam Clifford; brother, Gary Dickerson of El Paso; and several grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2003, 12:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels with the Tribe of Judah Motorcycle Ministry officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 3, 2003, 6-8 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Russell A. Dickey

Mr. Russell A. Dickey, age 82 of Center Point, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2003 in Camp Verde, TX. He was born December 23, 1920 in Camp Verde to Clarence Weldon Dickey and Jeannie Banks (Goforth) Dickey. On April 10, 1954, he married Ada Mae Montel in Bandera.

Mr. Dickey was a rancher.

He is survived by his wife, Ada Mae Dickey of Center Point; daughter, Alice Wahrmund and husband, Dennis of Center Point; two sisters, Berta Lee Rose and Neilene Lane, both of Kerrville; grandson, Richard Wahrmund of Center Point; and three nieces and their families.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 1, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Rev. Frankie Enloe officiating.
