Charles David "Bob" Moseley, age 69 of Hondo, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at his residence. He was born September 26, 1934 in Cleburne,  Texas to J.T. and Dorothy Mathews Moseley.
Bob was a Civil Engineer and worked in the Oil Field business for 20 years and Environmental Hazardous Waste for 30 years. He was a Past Master of the Winnie/Stowell Masonic Lodge. The Moseley’s moved from Kingwood,  Texas to the Hill Country 24 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Mara; three daughters, Dorothy Highberg of Maryland, Michelle Coon of Norfolk, Virginia, and Kelli Hampton of Hondo; three sons, Roy Moseley of New Jersey, Robert Moseley of Kentucky and Brandon Millsap of Canyon Lake; two sisters, Pauline Moseley of Tulsa,  Oklahoma and Diane Nash of Wisconsin; brother, Ray Moseley of Vidor,  Texas; 15 grandchildren, Sean and Kyle Highberg, Culley and Cassie Moseley, Shannon and Chet Moselely, Andie, Hailey and Zoe Hampton, Emily, Owen, Adam and Austin Coon, Kaci Millsap and Logan Mecheam, and four great grandchildren, Faith, Paige,  Jackson and Jaden.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2004, 3:30 p.m., Bandera Cemetery, under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge of Bandera.

Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 420 Water St., Ste. 104, Kerrville, TX 78028.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to GRIMES FUNERAL CHAPELS of Kerrville.

Douglas Mosley

John D. Mullins
Born in Avon, MA on May 2, 1924

Mr. John D. Mullins, age 80 of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2004 in a San Antonio hospital after a short illness. He was born May 2, 1924 in Avon, MA to Henry Edward Mullins and Helen Rose (Dolan) Mullins. On August 25, 1945, he married Phyllis Stevens in the chapel of the Orlando Air Force Base in Orlando, FL.
John was a Captain in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for Pharmaceutical R&D Management for 35 years and was a scientist in the development of new drugs in the pharmaceutical industry. John was a member of the American Pharmaceutical Association, American Association of Pharmaceutical Science, New York Academy of Science; Fifteenth Air Force Association, First Fighter Group Association, Lion’s International, River Hill Country Club, Schreiner Oaks and the Library Advisory Board. He was past president of KPAS and past president of Friends of the Library. John was also a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis S. Mullins of Kerrville; sisters, Mrs. Leo "Alice" Fredette of Hingham, MA and Mrs. Robert "Mary Louise" Veracka of Avon, MA; brother, Mr. Richard Mullins and wife, Katherine of Dalton, MA and Mr. Paul Mullins and companion, Shirley Rajala of Raynham, MA and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of John’s life will be held Monday, July 19, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, officiated by The Rev. Stockton Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Building Fund, Schreiner University, Lion’s Club or a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to GRIMES FUNERAL CHAPELS of Kerrville.

Jeanie Murray
Born in Rochester, TX on July 27, 1927

Jeanie Murray, 76, of Abilene, formerly of Kerrville, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2003, in an Abilene hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2003, at the Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville,  Texas, with Dr. Charles Murray officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories, Kerrville.

Mrs. Murray was born on July 27, 1927, in Rochester,  Texas. She married Don Murray on August 18, 1945, in San Antonio. For over 50 years, she served along-side her husband in ministering to Baptist churches in  Texas, Hawaii, and Colorado. Don Murray served as Pastor of First Baptist Church Kerrville between 1989 and 1995.

Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.B. Weldon, three sisters, one brother, and one great grandson, Cole Murray Williamson.

Survivors include her husband, Don; two sons, Don Jr. and his wife Janice of Abilene and Charles and his wife Karon of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jana Williamson and her husband Byron of Rosenberg,  Texas, Mark Murray and his wife Mindy of Abilene, Angela King and her husband Robert of Lewisville,  Texas, and Nathan Murray of Sarasota, Florida; and, six great grandchildren, Ashley, Bethany and Colby Williamson of Rosenberg and Brianna, Asher, and Caleb King of Lewisville.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of West Central  Texas, 1926 Campus Ct., Abilene,  Texas 79601.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Care Inn of Abilene for their loving care expressed over the last year and a half.

Jack Naimer
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on March 24, 1918

Mr. Jack Naimer, age 85 of Kerrville, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2003 at his residence. Jack, a resident of Kerrville since 1978 and a prior resident of Houston, was born March 24, 1918 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. On July 22, 1954, he married Dorothy Emilian in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She preceded his death on May 20, 2001.

Jack was a material engineer.

A private burial was held at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.

L.G. "Lem" Neely
Born in St. Mary's, OH on February 4, 1918
Departed on May 26, 2003 and resided in Kerrville, TX.

Mr. L.G. "Lem" Neely, age 85 of Kerrville, passed away Monday, May 26, 2003 at a local hospital. He was born in St. Mary’s, Ohio on February 4, 1918 to Harold Grey Neely and Jean Henderson Neely. He married Madeline Fisher on November 1, 1947 in Ft. Worth. She preceded his death on December 20, 2001.

Lem led a full and varied life. He attended Sewanee military Academy in Sewanee, TN and the University of  Texas before serving in the United States Army, receiving honors from WWII during Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. Lem also served on the city council and served as Mayor pro tem. He belonged to many organizations including Scottish Rite, Alzafar Shrine and San Antonio "Jesters." He was a Master Mason and belonged to the Grand Council R & SM of  Texas and the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of  Texas for 50 years. He was a member of the Kerrville Masonic Lodge #697 AF & AM and the Abilene Masonic Lodge #559 AF & AM. He owned and operated NAPA auto parts store in Kerrville from 1964-1986 and was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Neely Balentine and husband, Douglas Balentine of Hunt; son, Raymond G. Neely and wife, Gearilden Henry Neely of Pasadena, TX; three grandchildren, Royce W. Neely, Camille N. Sullivan and Madeline Rene Grey Neely; and one great granddaughter, Susan Sullivan.

The family will receive visitors at Grimes Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 30, 2003 from 5-7 p.m.

Services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003, 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with The Reverend Linda Kelly officiating. A masonic graveside service will follow at Garden of Memories. Following the masonic graveside service, there will be a reception for family and friends at the Inn of the Hills in Kerrville.

Pallbearers will be Jim Morris, Virgil Justice, Royce Neely, Ricardo Garza, Santos Gallegos and Luke Sullivan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Schlieter, Truman Martin, Floyd Price, Russell Wilson, William Walter Wilson, III, Scott Stehling, Kit Werlein and Fred Kenfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, Vista Care Hospice or to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Barbara "Broomie" Noble

Mrs. Barbara "Broomie" Noble, age 46 of Kerrville, passed away Friday, March 19, 2004 at her residence. She was born December 1, 1957 in San Pedro, CA to Gerry and Melinda (Heyen) Ferrin. On January 22, 1998, she married Calvin Earl Noble in Kerrville.

Mrs. Noble was a wonderful wife and mother. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Kerrville.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Noble of Kerrville; mother, Melinda Ford of Kerrville; sons, Arthur Pressler and Michael Pressler, both of Fredericksburg; sister, Gaye Trahan of Kerrville; brother, Steven Ferrin of  Louisiana; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son, Aaron Prestridge.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Dr. Mel Hardin. Interment will follow at Turtle Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Stahlnecker, Ronnie Price, Homer West, Harry Muir, Larry McDonald and Sherman Hopper.

Earl W. Norris
Born in Highlands, TX on May 26, 1917

Earl W. Norris, age 86 of Tarpley, TX died Sunday, July 27, 2003 at his residence. He was born May 26, 1917 in Highlands, TX to William Benjamin and Sarah Elizabeth Vickery Norris. Mr. Norris worked for many years in the oil industry as a pipe fitter and served in the C-Bees during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Tommie of Tarpley; daughter, Glenda and husband, Robert Gibson; sons, Tim and wife, Kim of Tarpley and James and wife, Phyllis of Mountain Home; sisters, Pet Franssen of Mt. Belview, TX and Ethel Lee Hargraves, and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at Tarpley Cemetery with Chaplain Laura Lightner officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of GRIMES FUNERAL CHAPELS of Kerrville.

Santa Olivares
Born in Jourdanton, TX on March 16, 1929

Mrs. Santa Olivares, Age 74, of Kerrville,  Texas, passed away Friday, September 26, 2003, in a Kerrville hospital. Mrs. Olivares, a resident of Kerrville since 1960 and a prior resident of San Antonio, was born on March 16, 1929, in Jourdanton,  Texas.

Mrs. Olivares, a Christian, was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She worked for Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital for 35 years.

Survivors, Four Daughters, Lucy Gonzalez, Minerva Cerna, both of San Antonio, Mary Lira and Gloria Olivares, both of Kerrville; Two Sons, Lee Roy Olivares of North Carolina and Louis Olivares of Kerrville; One Brother, Mayado Benitez of San Antonio; 17 Grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Prayer Service, 6:00 P. M., Monday, September 29, 2003, Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Funeral Service, 10:00 A. M., Tuesday, September 30, 2003, Grimes Funeral Chapels.
