Margaret Ellen Burton Stone, beloved wife of Marvin Livingston Stone, died peacefully on July 13, 2004 in Kerrville,  Texas surrounded by family. She was 79 years of age. Known as "Button" to one and all, she was a lovely, charming woman with a warm heart and a smile on her face for everyone she met. Blessed with a keen intelligence and an uncanny perception of human nature, she invariably met human frailty with compassion and understanding, and was never happier than when she was helping someone else.

In addition to managing the office for their business, she found time to lead Brownie and Scout Troops, support drill teams, teach Sunday School, host highly competitive bridge games, and, on the farm, occasionally chase runaway goats initially bought with cabrito in mind which they could never bring themselves to slaughter. She was enthusiastically packed and ready to go with her husband on their many adventures, treating the entire family to cruise for their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Margaret Stone was a Charter Member of Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston,  Texas where she was instrumental in recruiting Dr. Russell Dilday to serve as Pastor.
