McGraw
Maria Vasquez Arroyos McGraw, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005.
Visitation was held Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home chapel with a rosary at 7 p.m. Graveside services took place Friday at 2 p.m. at Rockport Cemetery in Rockport, with Deacon George Wiest officiating, assisted by Deacon Luis Treviño.
Mrs. McGraw was born in Caldwell on March 3, 1919, to Ramon and Julia (Ortiz) Vasquez. She married Daniel McGraw on May 19, 1978, in Bexar County. She was a Rockport resident and had formerly resided in Benavides. Mrs. McGraw was a homemaker and a Catholic who enjoyed crocheting and listening to music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Santiago Arroyos, her second husband, Daniel McGraw, and two brothers.
Survivors include her son, Adolfo Arroyos and wife Rosalinda of Beeville; three grandchildren, Adolfo Arroyos II of Alice, Rolando Arroyos of San Antonio and Melba Lee DeLeon of San Diego; four great-grandchildren, Daniella, Mark Anthony, Casandra and Marcelina; two sisters; and three brothers.

Rodriguez
Estella Hernandez Rodriguez, 50, of Frost died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, in Dallas’ Baylor Medical Center.
A rosary was recited Thursday at 7 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at 1 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Danilo Ramos officiating. Burial followed in the Frost Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Freddie Gomez, Nicky Peña, Michael Beacom, Roger Hernandez, Gonio Hernandez and Riley Hernandez.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Berclair on April 20, 1955, to Chon and Conception (Perez) Hernandez. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and worked for the Frost Independent School District.
She was preceded in death by a son, Refugio Rodriguez Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Refugio Rodriguez of Frost; her daughters, Gracie Gomez and husband Freddie and Patsy and Michael Beacom, all of Frost, and Angela and Nicky Peña of Ennis; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Makayla and April Gomez, Jazmin Peña and Morgan and Matthew “Bubba” Beacom; her brothers, Enriquez Hernandez and wife Becky of Berclair, Gonio Hernandez and wife Janie of Beeville, Roger Hernandez and wife Leticia of Goliad and Riley Hernandez and wife Jennifer of Port O’Connor; and a sister, Eva Garcia and husband Domingo of Bardwell.
Arrangements were handled through Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Corsicana.

Mr. Berthold
BERCLAIR - Elton Berthold, 82, passed away on March 1, 2006 in Victoria,  Texas.
Mr. Berthold was born on Aug. 3, 1923 in Bee County,  Texas to the late Julius H. Berthold and Donia Ruth Duge Berthold. He married Isabel Lorene Nielsen on April 6, 1949 in Goliad,  Texas. Elton was a retired farmer and member of the Catholic church as well as member of the Sons of Hermann.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Berthold of Berclair; two sons, Larry Berthold and wife Kay of Portland,  Texas and Troy Berthold and wife Jamie of Beeville,  Texas; one daughter, Laurl  Jones of Sweetwater,  Texas; two sisters, Ellen Nora Hester of Weslaco,  Texas and Ethel Mumford of Driscoll,  Texas; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, from 6-8 pm at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, March 3, at Beeville Memorial Park.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Glenn Hester, Dr. Bruce Bauknight, Dr. Larry Reidel, R.E. Handy and Chris Diebel.

Mrs. Josey
Barbara Graham Josey, 75, died Thursday, March 2, 2006.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at that chapel with the Rev. Jesse Berthold officiating. The music will include “Precious Memories,” “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art.” Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Doug Fullington, Rob Fullington, Donny Fullington, Troy Turner, Chuck Green and Jeff Green.
Ms. Josey was born June 10, 1930, in Corpus Christi to Alice Roberta Redding and Durwood Bernard Graham. She was a Baptist, resided in Beeville and was a retired nurse.
She is survived by her niece, Sherry and husband Jack Cowell of Kerrville; a great-niece, Megan Cowell of Kerrville; and many cousins and friends.

Camilo C. Garza Jr., 58, of Big Spring died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Covenant Medical Center, Lakeside in Lubbock following a long illness.
Vigil services were held Thursday at Myers and Smith Funeral Chapel with Pete Carrillo officiating. Funeral services were held Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in Mount Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mariano Gonzales Jr., Joe Gonzales, David Gonzales, Adrian Noyola, Joey Noyola and David Noyola.
Mr. Garza was born Aug. 6, 1943, in Violeta. He moved from Beeville to Big Spring in 1990. He attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was a ginner at the Big Spring Gin.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Garza of Big Spring; five daughters, Adrienne Garza of Big Spring and Felicia, Maria, Esmeralda and Yolanda Garza, all of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sons, Jesse Garza of Big Spring and Camilo Garza III of Alive; his mother, Maria Garza of Beeville; five brothers, Raul and Pablo Garza, both of Beeville, Jose Garza and wife Lydia of Grand Prairie, Ruben Garza and wife Guadalupe and Luis Garza and wife Linda, all of Robstown; five sisters, Alicia Maldonado and husband Juan of Robstown, Carolina Martinez and husband Andres of Corpus Christi, Diana Caudillo and husband Joe of Fort Worth, Maria Vasquez and husband Jose and Christian Hernandez, all of Beeville; his father-in-law, Mariano Gonzales of Snyder; mother-in-law, Martha Noyola of Snyder; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Earl Eugene “Gene” Juelg, 70, died Thursday, May 16, 2002.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Skidmore with the Rev. Lee Bevly officiating. Burial will follow in Juelg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Butch, Ricky, Andrew, Jonathan and Jason Juelg and Christopher Martinez. Organist will be Cindi Bevly.
Mr. Juelg was born June 26, 1931, in Bellaire to Edwin and Doris (Crum) Juelg. He served in the Army and married Gloria Lopez in Duvall. He was a retired Corpus Christi Army Depot employee and was a member of First Baptist Church in Skidmore.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Juelg of Skidmore; five sons, Butch Juelg and wife Jennifer of Willis, Ricky Juelg of Papalote and Andrew E., Jonathan and Jason Juelg, all of Skidmore; one daughter, Lynda Guarneri of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren, Christopher Martinez, Lauren Juelg, Mason Cass, Weston Juelg, Danielle Guarneri and Alexandra Guarneri; and two brothers, James Juelg and wife Cathy of Corpus Christi and Wayne Juelg and wife Pat of Baton Rouge.

Juan Manuel Presa, 61, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002.
Rosary was recited Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Treviño Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at St. James Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery No. 2. Pallbearers are Fred Garcia, Noe Moreno, Maurice Govella, Homer Soliz, Robert Peña and Casimiro Garza. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Alaniz II and Albert Lee Moreno.
Mr. Presa was born in Beeville March 30, 1941, to Abraham and Beatrice (Lozano) Presa. He was a bus driver for the Bee Community Action Agency and a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Rosa Garcia Presa of Beeville; four daughters, Dolores Doughty of  Texas City, Monica Presa and Mirey Moreno, both of Beeville, and Romey Presa of Garland; a half-sister, Ofelia R. Loya of Beeville; one brother, Abraham Presa of Enid, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

Joe S. Rodriguez, 60, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at his residence in Beeville.
Visitation was held all day Friday at Angelus Funeral Home chapel. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. at that same location. Funeral services will be held today (Saturday) at 10 a.m. at Angelus chapel. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Mr. Rodriguez was born Dec. 6, 1941, in Dinero to Jose and Rosa (Sanchez) Rodriguez. He was a retired bus driver. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Rosie R. Hernandez of Beeville; two brothers, Domingo Rodriguez of San Angelo and Adam Rodriguez of Porterville,  Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pedro Diaz, 92, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002.
Visitation was held Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home chapel. Rosary was recited that evening at 7 o’clock at the same location. Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial followed in Pettus.
Pallbearers were Michael P. Skau, Thomas Wayne Stricklin, Adrianna M. Rincon, Juan Felipe Marron, Hector Vera, Mickol Rodriguez, Eli Franklin, Daniel Vera, Paul Stricklin, Shawn Timothy Skau, Joe Vera Jr. and Lisa Garcia. Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Diaz was born on June 29, 1910, in Tuleta to Alejos and Vicenta (Hernandez) Diaz. He married Trinidad Rodriguez on Sept. 14, 1940, in Beeville. He resided in Mineral and was a retired Bee County employee. He was a member of the Catholic church.
Mr. Diaz was preceded in death by one daughter, Martina D. Vera, in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Trinidad R. Diaz of Mineral; six daughters, Vicenta (Bill) Stricklin of Gilbert, Ariz., Josefina (B.J.)  Jackson of Mineral, Gloria (Ray) Rincon and Diana (Bill) Franklin of Beeville, Eloisa (Johnny) Marron of Baytown and Rosa Linda Rodriguez of Tuleta; two sons, Robert (Nancy) Diaz of Anniston, Ala., and Albert (Belinda) Diaz of Ganado; 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cruz Diaz of Corpus Christi and Jose Diaz of Ennis; and two sisters, Petra Arrisola of Beeville and Juanita Nunez of Dallas.

Funeral services are pending at Treviño Funeral Home for Victor Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez died Thursday evening, Sept. 12, at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Elodia Treviño Rodriguez, sons, daughters and a host of other relatives.

Torres
Nasario Torres Jr., 55, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002.
Visitation was held Sunday at Angelus Funeral Home chapel. Rosary was recited at 7 o’clock that evening at the same location. Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Donohoe officiating. Burial followed in Clareville’s San Pedro Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Javier Cardenas, Jerry Cardenas, Lupe Cuellar, Alfredo Chavarria Jr., Juan Paiz, Joe Vargas, Ruben Garcia, Ramiro Ramos and Sammy Gonzales.
Mr. Torres was born to Nasario and Rita (Sanchez) Torres in George West on May 23, 1947. He married Idolina Cuellar on July 18, 1964, in Freer. He resided in Beeville and was a master plumber and a member of the Catholic church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Albert Cuellar Torres, in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Idolina Torres of Beeville; one son, Joe Louis Torres of Houston; one daughter, Anna Melisa Torres of Houston; one brother, Victor Valdez of Freer; three sisters, Angelita Guerra of Freer, Isabel Kneten of San Antonio and Ramona Escalante of San Diego; and four grandchildren, Jessica Lynn, Seth Alec, Christian Renee and Joseph Alexander Torres.

Arturo Garza Sr., 46, died Friday, March 14, 2003, at his residence.
Visitation was held Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home chapel. Prayer service was held Monday at 7 p.m. at the same location. Funeral services took place Tuesday at the funeral home at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Frances Perez officiating. Burial followed in Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Abel Perez, John Longoria, Jimmy Lee Arguijo, Joe Soliz and Frank and Mark Ybarra. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Carabajal, Ernesto L. Alvarado, Rito and Cruz Campos and Benito Guzman.
Mr. Garza was born on May 22, 1956, in Beeville to Lazaro and Maria Benita (Rosales) Garza. He resided in Beeville and was a maintenance employee at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville for eight years.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph L. Garza.
Survivors include his wife, Elva Rodriguez; three sons, Arturo Garza Jr., Jacob Lee Garza and Christopher Campos; two daughters, Lorra L. Garza and Lorraine L. Garza, all of Beeville; a sister, Anna Contreras of Austin; and three grandchildren, Kassandra M. Coronado, Jimmy Lee Arguijo III and Joseph Jacob Chapa.
