Mr. Gonzales
Ovideo (Vilo) Gonzales, 67, of Beeville, died on Friday, Feb. 9, 2007.
He was born in Beeville on March 1, 1939, to Rafael and Elisa Suniga Gonzales. He married Rosie Garcia on Oct. 28, 1972. He was employed as maintenance supervisor for Bee County.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rafael Gonzales Jr. of Muleshoe.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Gonzales of Beeville; three daughters, Brenda Mae Gonzales and Laura Kaye Dominguez, both of Beeville, and Sylvia Ann Gonzales of Dallas; two sons, Manuel Gonzales and Jody Gonzales, both of Dallas; six grandchildren; four sisters, Pauline Castillo and Patsy Beltran, both of Beeville, Rosa Gaitan of Pleasanton, and Mary Lopez of Houston; and two brothers, Joe Gonzales of Houston and Ernest Gonzales of Beeville.
Visitation was held from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Angelus Funeral Home. Rosary was recited there at 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial followed at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Norberto Garcia, Jimmy Martinez, Frank Mendez, Tony Ortiz, Lee Banda, John Dominguez and Charles Oliver. Honorary pallbearers were all of his nephews.

Ouida Merle Nowlin, 83, of Beeville died on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Traylor officiating.
Mrs. Pena
Isabel Pena, 93, of Beeville died on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
She was born in Goliad on Oct. 3, 1913, to Guadalupe Lopez and Emilio Guzman. She was a Catholic and a housewife. Mrs. Pena was preceded in death by her husband, Andres Pena; her parents; five sisters, Balbina Perez, Tomasita Vega, Emilia Gutierrez, Pauline Garcia and Lorene Reyes; and two brothers, Manuel and Eugenio Guzman.
Survivors include one daughter, Aline Pena of Beeville; three sons, Manuel (Dolores) Pena Sr. of San Antonio, Fernando (Emilia) Pena of Channelview, and Manuel (Diane) Pena Jr. of Houston; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. James Church with Rev. Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Interment followed at San Jacinto Cemetery in Riverdale.
Pallbearers were Manuel Pena Jr., Fernando Pena Jr., Miguel Pena III, Abel and Anthony Pena and Arnulfo Gutierrez.
Mr. Perez
Enicasio “Poncho” Perez of Lufkin, formerly of Beeville, died on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, in a Lufkin hospital.
He was born on Nov. 12, 1935, in Clareville, to San Juanita (Trevino) and Theodore Perez Sr. He had resided in Lufkin since 2004. He retired from the City of Hemphill, where he worked as a supervisor in the Water and Gas Department. He was a deacon of the Johnson Missionary Baptist Church in Zavala.
He was preceded in death by his parents, San Juanita and Theodore Perez Sr.; one son, Enicasio “Eddie” Perez Jr. and one sister, Maria Perez.
Survivors include his wife, Celia Perez of Lufkin; four sons, Luis Antonio Perez and wife Cynthia of California, Guadalupe Perez and wife Brandy of Lufkin, Theodore Perez and wife Manuela of Huntington, and Greggory Heath Ener and wife Terri; three daughters, Rosa Maria Lopez and husband Fabian, Umelia Mable Perez and Jenie Turner, all of Lufkin; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nieves Fonseca of Mathis, Evangelina Solis of Big Spring and Anita Rodriguez of Beeville; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Arrangements were by Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home in Lufkin.
Kruger
Gerhardina “Dina” Kruger, 80, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002.
Funeral services were held at Dobie Funeral Home chapel in Mathis Friday at 10 a.m., with burial following in Tynan’s Waldheim Cemetery.
Mrs. Kruger was born July 8, 1921, in Tynan to William and Mary (Beyer) Runge. She married Fritz Kruger on July 16, 1939, at the family home. She was a lifelong Lutheran and member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tynan. During her life, she followed her husband through much of South Texas and Louisiana, first while he worked for the railroad and then later as he worked for Phillips Petroleum Company. They returned to Tynan in 1960 and opened the Welcome Inn restaurant. They operated that establishment until March 1980, when it was destroyed by fire. Mrs. Kruger had resided in the Mathis Nursing Center since October 2000.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fritz; her brother, William Runge; her sisters, Emmie Upchurch, Lydia Hicks Roberts and Dela Wilson Daniels; and two infant sisters, Frieda and Olivia Runge.
Mrs. Kruger is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Gerald Holubec; five grandchildren, Jean Ann Holubec, Wanda (Edward) Wilson, Fredrick Holubec and Diana Rosenbaum, all of Tynan, and Marcy Dee (Erik) Martinez of Topeka, Kan.; five great-grandchildren, Cody, Kyle and Caleb Wilson of Tynan and Ryan and Melanie Martinez of Topeka, Kan.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Medellin
Rodolfo P. “Rudy” Medellin, 47, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, in Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial followed in Sinton’s Eternal Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Reyna Jr., David Villarreal Sr., Felipe Garcia, Lee Ramirez Jr., Joe Salazar and Michael Tovar. Honorary pallbearers were Rodney Ramirez and Ramon N. Pereida.
Mr. Medellin was born May 28, 1955, to Frank and Guadalupe (Pereida) Medellin. Mr. Medellin was a construction worker and a Catholic.
He is survived by his best friend, Jerri Mick of Beeville; his parents, Frank Medellin of Dallas and Guadalupe Medellin of Beeville; his daughter, Ana Marie Johnston of Arizona; two sons, Frank and Rodolfo Medellin Jr., both of Beeville; and a sister, Olivia (Lee) Ramirez of Houston.
Melton
Cora Mae Terrell Melton, 81, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Racine, Wis. She taught special education in the Beeville Independent School District for 12 years.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 4901 Washington Ave., Saturday, June 29, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul M. Esser officiating. Private interment will be held at the Melton family cemetery in Winnfield, La.
Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 10:30 until time of Mass.
Mrs. Melton was born in Hugo, Okla., on Nov. 6, 1920, to Edmund and Susie (Riley) Terrell. She had been a Racine resident since 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jack Melton, and one son, Jack Melton. She was an elementary teacher in Texas for more than 20 years. She was currently a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne (Joe) Schackelman; three sons, Jim (Margie) Melton of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mike (Olga) Melton of Brownsville and Ken (Natasha) Melton of Lufkin; her brother, Edmund Terrell Jr. of Florida; two sisters, Iona (Otto) O’Brien of Corpus Christi and Mary Gwen (Maurice) York of Pipe Creek; a sister-in-law, Maxine Hale of Winnfield, La.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Alejos Casas Perez, 51, died Thursday, May 29, 2003.
Visitation will be held Monday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the graveside in Beeville Memorial Park. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rick Spencer officiating.
Mr. Perez was born on July 5, 1951, in Live Oak County, to Juan and Matilde (Casas) Perez. He resided in Beeville and was an automotive mechanic. He was a member of the Baptist church. Mr. Perez was preceded in death by a sister, Lupe Perez, and a brother, Juan Perez.
Survivors include his parents, Juan Perez of Beeville and Matilde Perez of Littlefield; a daughter, Veronica Perez of Victoria; three sons, Alex Perez Jr. of Schulenburg, Raymond Rodriguez of Port Lavaca and Eloy Rodriguez of Beeville; a sister, Maria Isabel Durkee of Jackson, Fla.; a brother, Jesse Perez of Littlefield; and two grandchildren, Kevin Anthony Perez of Port Lavaca and Estella Marie Nerio of Victoria.

James E. Wiser, 61, died Sunday, May 25, 2003.
Visitation will be held Monday from 1 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock that evening in the same location. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Adams
Renee Crisp Adams, 85, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005.
Visitation was to be held Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel. Funeral services will be conducted today (Saturday) at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Hixson officiating. Special music will include “Old Rugged Cross,” “In the Garden” and “Amazing Grace.”
Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Mrs. Adams was born in Orr, Okla., on March 24, 1919, to Clement and Bennie (Boales) Crisp. She married Robert Frank Adams in Corpus Christi on Sept. 26, 1959. She resided in Corpus Christi for about 10 years and in Beeville prior to that.
She was a member of Beeville’s First Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died on May 21, 1994, her parents, a daughter, Lonnie Isaacks, a son, Calvin Johnson, a grandson, Michael Johnson, and a son-in-law, Paul Drouhton.
Survivors include her daughter, Clarice Drouhton of Houston; three sons, Harvey Haskett of Sealy, Walton Johnson of Russellville, Ark., and Marvin Johnson of Sinton; a brother, Vernon Crisp of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Ruth Naomi Walker James, 84, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005.
Visitation will be held Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel. Funeral services will be held at that location at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Beeville Memorial Park.
Mrs. James was born in Beeville on May 11, 1920, to Willie Lee and Ella (McCamble) Walker. She was a Methodist and had been employed as a motion picture costume designer. She was a member of the Famous G. Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Larvie Bandy, a sister, Eddie Lee Carroway and three brothers, Willie Walker Jr., Louis Walker and Kermit Walker.
Survivors include her daughter, LaGayle Eldridge of California; two grandchildren, Jacqueline R. Levy of Mississippi and Stephanie D. Eldridge of California; three great-grandchildren, Keenan, Kamrin and Khari Levy; and three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Walker of Houston, Evola Walker of Beeville and Genita Walker of Oklahoma.
