Mr. Bedwell
William Michael Bedwell, 53, of Gladewater, died on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1953, in Beeville. He was a former purchasing agent for Gregg and Parker counties and before that was a reporter and cartoonist for the Beeville Bee-Picayune.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny D. and Georgia Ivy Bedwell.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Bedwell of Gladewater; daughter Roxanne Warren and husband Jon of Gilmer; son, John Michael Bedwell and wife Yu Kyoung of Gladewater; two grandchildren, Savannah Warren and Rebecca Bedwell; one brother, Johnny Dean Bedwell of Calliham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Funeral services will be held there at 3 p.m. today (Saturday) with Pastor Teddy Sorrells officiating. Interment will be in Gladewater Memorial Park.
Arrangements were entrusted to Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.

Mrs. Brown
Larice M. Brown, 79, of Victoria died on Monday, Nov. 5, 2007.
She was born Oct. 24, 1928, in Farmersville, La., to the late James Dean and Virgie Sawyer Miller. She was a longtime resident of Pettus and was known as “Mama B.”
Survivors include her daughters, Clydell Yuhnke and husband Jim of Houston and Linda Bagwell and husband John of Victoria; her sons, Paul W. Brown and wife Sheila of Ganado and Wayne R. Brown and wife Cheryl of Victoria; grandchildren, Chad Yuhnke, Wesley Yuhnke, Amy Mundy, Amber Bagwell, April Wenske, Douglas Bagwell, Michael Coby Brown, Christi Brown, Michael Appling, Jennifer Brown and Nicholas Brown; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Levi Brown, in 1985; and her sister, Darice Miller, in 1936.
Visitation was held from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rosewood Funeral Chapels in Victoria. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kenedy City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul W. Brown, Wayne R. Brown, Wesley Yuhnke, Douglas Bagwell, Coby Brown and Arron Mundy. Honorary pallbearers were Chad Yuhnke, Michael Appling, Nicholas Brown and John Lee.
A memorial service followed at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Victoria with Rev. Marilyn Roeder officiating.
Donations may be made to Devereaux Foundation of Victoria.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rosewood Funeral Chapels in Victoria.

Mr. Childress
Doyal “Buddy” Childress Jr., 54, died on Oct. 29, 2007, in Wichita Falls, after battling colon cancer since 2005.
He was born in Harlingen on June 9, 1953, to Doyal Reneau Childress, Sr. and Hazel Case. He spent his high school years in Beeville. He moved to Wichita Falls and worked for Burlington-Northern Railroad. Later, he went back to college and received his bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate from Midwestern State University.
He is survived by his parents, Doyal and Hazel Childress of Beeville; his son, Tad Childress and his wife Jodi and their children, Payton, Blake and Meagan, of McKinney; and his son, Jay Childress of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Joy Sloan and husband John and children Robert and Jennifer, and Barbara Puckett and her daughter Sheri.
A memorial service will be held on Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. at Friendship Haven in Friendswood.
Memorials may be made to Tad Childress at 3212 New York Ave., McKinney, TX 75070.

Mr. Longoria
Sabas Longoria Jr., 38, of Beeville died on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at his residence.
He was born in Beeville on May 10, 1969, to Ortensia and Sabas Longoria Sr. He was employed in the oilfields as a derrick man. He was a Catholic.
Survivors from Beeville include his father, Sabas Longoria Sr.; his mother and stepfather, Ortensia C. and Leo Carabajal; one daughter, Alma Blanca Longoria; three sons, Moses, Mathew John and Daniel Sabas Longoria; one sister, Micaela Longoria; and his maternal grandmother, Lupe Castillo. He is also survived by his sister, Norma (Jesse Sr.) Frausto of San Antonio.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Eddie Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Moses, Mathew and Daniel Longoria, Jesse Frausto Jr., Joe Anthony Frausto and Marcos Villagomez.

Gardemal
Adella Mary Fojtik Gardemal, 87, of Houston died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003.
Rosary was held Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home in Houston. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Oct. 1 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with Father Patrick Cummings officiating.
Survivors include her sisters, Anastazia Sembera of Vanderbilt and Lillian Baylor and husband Jack of Beeville; a brother, Rudolph Fojtik and wife Dovey of Beeville; sister-in-law, Lela Mae Fojtik of Skidmore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gardemal taught at St. Rose of Lima School and Assumption School. She was a member and past president of Catholic Daughters of America and a member of St. Rose of Lima for more than 30 years.
Arrangements were handled through Pat H. Foley & Co., Houston.

Foley
William Glenn Foley, 59, of Sugar Land, formerly of Soda Springs, Idaho, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, in Pocatello, Idaho.
He was born on May 17, 1944, in Houston to Aubrey Lee and Oble Chloe (Martin) Foley. He married Selena Hargreaves on May 20, 1967, in San Antonio.
Mr. Foley lived most of his live in  Texas and Tennessee and had lived in Soda Springs from 1993 to 1994. He was a Baptist and an avid supporter of the National Rifle Association. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He had been a machinist and formerly owned precision machine shops in Soda Springs and Sugar Land.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Selena Foley of Sugar Land; a son, Jason Glenn Foley and wife Kelly of Pocatello, Idaho; a daughter, Dee McCullough and husband Mick of Soda Springs, Idaho; three grandchildren, Aubrey Dillon Foley, Deegan Glenn Foley and Carter Lee McCullough; his mother, Oble Foley; and sister, Maureen Deanna McElyea, both of Schertz.
Funeral services will be conducted today (Saturday) at noon at Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs with Bruce Dredge officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery there. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Ronald McDonald House.
Services were under the direction of Sims Funeral Home, Soda Springs, Idaho.

Martin
Cynthia A. (Cindy) Martin, 31, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, in Beeville.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home chapel. Funeral services will take place Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the same location with the Rev. Bob Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Enrique Jimenez, Sean Horton, Richard Chaney, Christopher Nunez, Conrad Ruiz and Rene Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers will be Natalie Horton, Nickelle Arteaga, Beth Perez, Helen LaTorre and Angelina Garcia.
Ms. Martin was born on Aug. 21, 1972, in Fresno,  Calif., to David and Cindy A. (Gilbert) Martin. She resided in Beeville and was a correctional officer, employed at the TDCJ Garza East Unit. She was a Pentecostal.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cindy A. Martin, and a brother, David Martin Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, Brittany and Chelsea Martin, her father, David Martin, all of Beeville; a sister, Debbie Arruda of Hayward,  Calif.; and aunts and uncles.

Marquez
Dionicia Zapata Marquez, 93, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in Corpus Christi.
She was born on Sept. 16, 1910. She had resided in Beeville for many years before moving to Corpus Christi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Marquez, and her son, Juan Marquez.
Survivors include a daughter, Maria (Jose) Cisneros; 16 grandchildren, Guadalupe (Enedina) Cisneros, Chabela (Lupe) Perez, Fernando (Olga) Cisneros, Javier (Esther) Cisneros, Felipe Cisneros, Jose A. (Lucy) Cisneros, Teresa (Ted) Hernandez, Robert (Selsa) Cisneros, Angie (Louis) Rodriguez, Carmen Cisneros, Jerald (Eva) Cisneros, and David, Juan, Lupe, Jorge and Jose Marquez; 62 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 2 to 10 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home in Corpus Christi. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church there. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of Bobby Treviño, Treviño Funeral Home, Corpus Christi.

Muñoz
Refugia “Cuca” Muñoz, 81, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, in Beeville.
Rosary was to be recited Friday at 7 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow in Clareville’s San Pedro Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Leon May, Vincent Salazar, Roman Muñoz, Jaime Puga, Silver Cardenas and Geno Garza. Honorary pallbearers will be Rocky Cardenas and Jerry May.
Mrs. Muñoz was born on July 11, 1922, in Runge to Luis and Maria (Garcia) Hernandez. She had resided in the Clareville community most of her life. She was a housewife and a Catholic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norberto Muñoz, who died in 1980, and a son, Baudencio “Buddy” Muñoz.
Survivors include her daughters, Evagelina May, Belia (Ramiro) Garza, Baudelia (Salvador) Andrade, Bangelica (Silverio) Cardenas, Virginia Puga and Elvira (Rafael) Salazar, all of Beeville; a stepdaughter, Beda (Gregorio) Moreno of Alvarado; two sons, Benancio (Irene) Muñoz and Norberto (Casilda) Muñoz Jr., all of Beeville; 36 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Perez
Clemente Perez, 78, of George West died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004.
He was born in Cadiz on Nov. 23, 1925. He was a farmer, and farming was a big part of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Constancia Perez, and a grandson, Roberto Martinez Jr.
Survivors include his three sons, Pablo (Antonia) Perez of Victoria, Ruben Perez of Beeville and Carlos (Mary Cortez) Perez of Three Rivers; four daughters, Elvira (Jose) Olivas of Portales, N.M., Amalia (Jose Luis) Garcia of Houston, Angie (Roberto) Martinez of Beeville and Alice (Edelmiro) Gonzales of Skidmore; a brother, Encarnacion Perez Jr. of George West; two sisters, Maria P. Cortez of Temple and Fransisca Rodriguez of George West; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was to be held Friday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Rosa De Saron Church, located at 1962 N. Highway 37 Access Road, about one mile north of the Highway 37 and 59 intersection. Funeral services will take place today (Saturday) at 10 a.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at the George West Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
