Mr. Davis
Henry J. Davis, 60, of Beeville died on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007.
He was born Nov. 4, 1946, in Beeville to Quency M. Tolliver and Easterling Davis Sr. He was a member of  Jones Chapel United Methodist Church. He was groundskeeper for Father Stephen Dougherty at the Shrine in Rockport and was an avid golfer.
He is preceded in death by his father, Easterling Davis Sr.; and one sister, Alice M. Morris.
Survivors include his mother, Quency M. Davis of Beeville; one daughter, Mariana Casarez of Beeville; two brothers, Easterling Davis Jr. and wife Betty Jean of Leander and Kenneth D. Hinderman of Pomona,  Calif.; one niece, Elaine Thorton of Killeen; three nephews, Terry Hartsfield of Fort Worth, Lynn Hartsfield of Beeville and Easterling Davis III of Leander; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at  Jones Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Tolliver, Rev. Carolyn Chandler and Rev. Oliver Greer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jose Padron, Joe Lindsay, Nevy Lee Robinson, Derrick Hartsfield, Lionel Hodge and James Durst. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth D. Hinderman, Easterling Davis Jr., Edward Canada, Joseph Scott, Father Stephen T. Dougherty, Oliver Grier, Lynn Hartsfield and Terry D. Hartsfield.

Mr. Fischer
Thomas Braxton Fischer, 74, of Fredericksburg and Refugio, died on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, in the Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg.
He was born Jan. 31, 1933, in San Antonio to Thomas and Una Fischer. He married Jane Armentrout on Dec. 20, 1953. In 1955, he graduated from the University of  Texas with a petroleum engineering degree. He was employed with Union Producing Company, which later became Pennzoil Producing Company, in Beeville and was retired as operations superintendent of South  Texas in 1990. He was a member of the American Petroleum Institute, Society of Petroleum Engineers and  Texas Farm Bureau.
Mr. Fischer was preceded n death by his parents, Thomas and Una Fischer; and one brother, Robert Austin Fischer.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Armentrout Fischer of Fredericksburg and Refugio; one daughter, Jena Lucroy and husband Bobby of Georgetown; two sons, Jon Fischer and wife Laura of Beeville and Jerry Fischer and wife Cindy of Fredericksburg; and three grandchildren, Lauron Fischer and Jake and Amy Lucroy.
Visitation was held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg. Funeral services were to be held there at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday). Graveside services and interment were to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be given in his memory to the South  Texas Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1210, Beeville,  Texas 78104-1210 or the charity of one’s choice.

Mrs. Garcia
Eva Farias Garcia, 84, of Beeville died on Monday, Feb. 26, 2007.
She was born on July 8, 1922, in Skidmore to Guadalupe Salazar and Pedro Farias. She married Edwardo M. Garcia in Beeville and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She was a nurse’s aide.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Guadalupe Salazar Farias; her husband, Edwardo M. Garcia; two brothers, Adan and Thomas Farias; and four daughters, Abelicia G. Villareal, Abelinda F. Garcia, Ofelia F. Soto and Adelaida G. Sauceda.
Survivors include one son, Bonefacio F. Aleman Jr. of Odem; two daughters, Alma F. Garcia of Beeville and Olga F. Moreno and husband Domingo of Odem; one sister, Maria Saldana and husband Eddie of Garland; one brother, George S. Farias and wife Delia of Corpus Christi; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Flover Osorio officiating.
Pallbearers will be David Hernandez, Ysa Garza, Wyatt Saenz, David Caldaron, Ernest L. Villarreal and Richard G. Villarreal.

Rev. Guajardo
Rev. Aaron Guajardo Sr., 70, departed this earth to join his Lord on February 15, 2007.
He was born to Arnulfo and Avelina Esquivel Guajardo in Donna, TX on December 10, 1936. He married Livia Guzman on December 9, 1956 in Mission, TX. Just this past year, Reverend Guajardo and Livia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary alongside their closest family and friends at the Primera Iglesia Bautista in Mineral.
Reverend Guajardo, a Baptist minister, received an undergraduate degree from the University of Corpus Christi and a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological seminary. He served many pastorates in his more than 40 years of ministry. Some churches in  Texas include Corpus Christi, Portland, Ingleside, Rockdale, and Pleasanton. He volunteered as a church planter in Umatila, Oregon, and  Washington state. The last five years of his ministry he was the pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista of Mineral. At the beginning and end of their ministries, Reverend Guajardo and his wife, Livia, served pastorates in Blanco Baptist Association and as volunteer missionaries in the Mission Service Corps of the Baptist General Convention of  Texas. For more than 20 of his 40 years in ministry, he served bi-vocationally in positions of teacher then as a principal in the Pleasanton ISD after earning another Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Southwest  Texas State University.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnulfo and Avelina Guajardo; and a daughter, Delpha Guajardo Martin.
Survivors include his wife, Livia Guajardo of Mineral; sons, Dr. Aaron Guajardo and wife Renee of Chicago, Illinois, and Josue Guajardo and wife Becky of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Aaron III, Timothy, Jacob, and their mother C. Eunice Guajardo, grandchildren Caleb and Rachel Guajardo, and Elyse, Emily, Alex and Scott Nikonchuk; two brothers, Alcides Guajardo and wife Frances of Mineral, TX and Able Guajardo and wife Cathy of La Porte, TX; and two sisters, Aurora Garcia of Edinburg, TX and Amanda Revelle and husband William of Donna, TX.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Angelus Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m. til 9 p.m., a prayer service was held that same evening at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2007, at Angelus Funeral Home followed by interment in Mineral Cemetery.

Mrs. Jackson
Patricia “Pat” McMillion  Jackson of Beeville died on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007.
She was born on Nov. 2, 1941, in Pasadena to Dorothy Gumm and Rueben Luther “Mac” McMillion. She was a lifelong resident of Beeville, a housewife and mother. Pat was an avid bridge player, a member of the Pan American Round Table and was involved with numerous women’s clubs.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy  Jackson of Beeville; one daughter, Jennifer  Jackson Vestal and husband Rick; three grandchildren, Brooke, Hunter and Harley Vestal; and one sister, Judy Healey.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Lackey
Damon Lackey, 65, of Wharton died on Monday, Feb. 26, 2007.
He was born Sept. 28, 1941, in Weslaco to Aliene Cox and Willie Lackey. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired TABC officer. He remained a commissioned officer until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Aliene Lackey; and his uncle, Lloyd Cabiness.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Lackey of Wharton; one son, Brandon Cruz of Wharton; one daughter, Sandra Rodriguez of Wharton; three grandchildren, David, Alyssa and Daniel Rodriguez; two brothers, Terry Lackey and wife Kaye of Mercedes and Randy Lackey and wife Gayle of Bakersfield,  Calif.; one aunt, Gwendalynn Cabiness of Elgin; and numerous other family members.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Angelus Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. that same day at Pawnee Cemetery with Rev. Walter Gilbert officiating.

Mrs. Marek
Ottilie “Tillie” Marek, 95, died on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at a local nursing home.
She was born on May 5, 1911, in Black Jack Springs to Edward and Ottilie Ehler Huebner.
Survivors include one son, Doyle Ray Marek of George West; daughter, Betty (Ilo) Hall of Kerrville; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be on Thursday, March 8 at 11 a.m. at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Live Oak Nursing Home, Legacy Home Health and Hospice or the charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements were by Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.

Mr. Moreno
Rene Moreno, 45, died on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, in New York state.
He was born in Normanna on Feb. 25, 1961. He attended A.C.  Jones High School and served in the U.S. Army for seven years. He was an interstate truck driver all of his life and drove for Warren Transport Trucking Co. of Waterloo, Iowa, for the last six years. He had also worked as a delivery driver for Galletan Produce Company and as a deckhand for Fish Oil Company, both in Beeville.
Rene is preceded in death by his parents, Corina Ramirez Moreno and Alejandro Moreno Sr.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Becky Rhodes Moreno of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Heather Moreno and Angelica Moreno, both of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Juan Mario Paiz of Austin and Alex Paiz and Alex Moreno, both of Beeville; seven sisters, Teresita Navarro, Sylvia Segovia, Felipa Diaz and Ninfa Masseaw, all of Corpus Christi, Sandra Sabiza of Beeville, Ysabelle Martinez of Houston and Pauline Moreno Castro of Grand Prairie.
Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Saxet Funeral Home in Corpus Christi with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held there at 10 a.m. Thursday, followed by military graveside services at Duncan Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
Arrangements were by Saxet Funeral Home in Corpus Christi.

Mrs. Munoz
Mrs. Aurora Ruiz Munoz, Age 65, died on Tuesday, Februay 27, 2007, at the family residence after a long illness.
Mrs. Munoz was born on Nov. 12, 1941, in Beeville, to the late Christobal and Anita Medina Ruiz. Mrs. Munoz worked for serveral motels in Beeville for the past 20 years in the housekeeping department.
She is survived by her husband, Mariano Munoz Sr. of Clareville; one daughter, Elly (Michael) Hernandez of Clareville; one son, Martin (Elsa) Munoz of Beeville; and five grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Mariano Munoz Jr.; one sister, Maria Orozco; five brothers, Ramon, Juan, Jose, Fidencio and Chritobal Ruiz Jr.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery in the Clareville community.
Pallbearers will be Robert Arriola, Ray Munoz, David Diehl, Marcos and Ramiro Ruiz, and Erasmo Medina.

Mrs. Pullin
Louise Pullin, 81, of Three Rivers, died on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, in a local nursing home following a brief illness.
She was born on May 2, 1925, in Karnes City to Frank and Ella Otto. She was retired from the Children’s Home of San Antonio after more than 28 years of dedicated service.
Survivors include her husband, Leslie Pullin of Three Rivers; two brothers, Bill (Betty) Otto of Three Rivers, Hugo Otto of Alice; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, Feb. 22, at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers. The funeral service was held Friday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. at the Good Hope Baptist Church in the Good Hope Community. Burial followed at the Three Rivers Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
